  1. One of the signature sights of the Weelond coast are the windmills built on a low grassy ridge, taking full advantage of the stiff breeze blowing in from the Sea of Storms. Here is one of those windmills, cleverly designated "Grist Mill #1" in the city ledgers.. Specifically, it is a post mill with an open trestle design. The grist mill grinds wheat into flour. It looks like several bags of flour are ready for delivery to the city market. The wagon driver takes time to give his horse a treat. His assistant doesn't look too pleased to be loading all the bags of flour into the wagon himself. Sheep commonly graze in the area, when they aren't grazing beneath the bastions of nearby Fort Weelond. The goat appears to prefer the wildflowers. Some more pics: --- I finally found the time to do some building! I wanted to try out the siding style Ayrlego used on one of his builds not too far back. There is a small gap at the top of the siding, and I had trouble with the hinges keeping the wall straight, but I'm happy with the result. I also wanted to represent the open trestle work realistically, and after a lot of experimentation, found something I'm very happy with. The sails turn, and the mill turns on the post as well. As for the terrain, I wanted to get more of a slope effect. It's not quite how I pictured it when I started, but I believe I used 99% of all the green plates I own! The sheep roaming free is common for the time period; fences were used to keep the animals OUT of yards, not in. That was something I wanted to portray in a build, and this was a perfect opportunity. As usual, all C&C welcome.

    Sheep

Hello everyone ! My latest brickfilm... A sheep finds a hat, and decides to wear it. But the herd doesn't like the original idea... A fable about trends and choices in the modern world!
  3. The Trifork has not been unaffected by the recent conflicts. Civil war in Nocturnus has brought strange fugitives to its borders; Drow incursions and rumours of plague in Avalonia has led to local unrest; Troubles in Mitgardia has disturbed trade and mythical incursions from the far north has brought fear to those lands; Lastly, the bloody struggle for control over Kaliphlin has demanded lives of sons, fathers and brothers, and disturbed basicly all daily tasks and routines of the border town. During these times, everyone must take their part in feeding their families and keeping the economy going. One such person is young Peter, who has taken up tending to his family's sheep with his trusty dalmatian, while his father serves with the Trifork city guard. In the highlands north of the Trifork, the lands are perfect for grazing. However, as the highlands are a good two days out, the shepherds maintain a number of small huts for all of the community to use. Here they rest for the night, and store supplies to make their lives more comfortable. It is customary for shepherds to leave something for the next inhabitant, be it cheese, wine, bread, or similar. Sheep is a popular livestock, as it can produce both meats, dairy products and wool, ensuring a steady income for the shepherds, regardless of price developments in any single commodity. Therefore, Peter's work is enough to keep his family well fed and to supply them with surplus products to take to the market. Thanks for looking - my second build for the husbandry minichallenge. The shepherd is from my minifig-series and I had the sheep lying around since forever. (They are not my own design, but I can't remember where I saw it.) C&C welcome - again thanks for a nice minichallenge!

Wyndor couldn’t help but wonder about Rothgar and the rest of the Dalig Ulv dwarves that had followed him. Were they in any kind of trouble right now? Wyndor knew that worrying was not going to help anything so he focused on the issue at hand. There seemed to be two forces besetting his city right now: Edea plus her sisters and the Blue Wolves. The last attack in the market place had showed that they weren’t in league with each other. But what could be so important that they both were after it? Wyndor hoped to have more answers after interrogating the member of the Blue Wolves that had been captured. They had just arrived at the farm where the renegade had been apprehended. The owner of the farm came up to them and said, “Ah, I’m glad you’re here finally Pjeter and Wyndor. We caught the thief trying to break into our house. It was the strangest thing. He was trying to break in by coming through the front door! Normally we all would have been out of the house at that time, but I had forgotten one of my tools and was inside getting it when he opened the door and strode in like he owned the place! Me and my boys tied him up and have in the barn, but I don’t mind telling you I’ll feel a lot better when he’s off my property all together!” “Well then,” replied Pjeter. “Perhaps you’d better show us to him.” “Of course, of course sir! Right this way” the farmer answered. OoC: There are a couple things I'm not fully satisfied with. The trees are blockier than I want for one. For another I would love to have more brown or tan plates to extend the path on past the barn, but I ran out. The barn is going to be part of my next post which I will get to tomorrow. Please let me know what you think!

    Daydelon Sheep Farm

My phase 3 build for the Farm category in AoM. I think this is my best half timbered house yet. As always there's a full interior, and the door works. There are many farms located on the outskirts of Daydelon. Several of which are sheep farms. The loom outside the house so you can see it better: More pictures can be found here: link C&C welcome
  6. My Phase 2 build for the Farm category in AoM. This landscape was a nice change from all my recent snowscapes. A sheepfold is a common sight in the southern regions of Mitgardia. They provide protection from the weather, wild animals, and thieves, usually they consist of a palisade with a lean-to shelter: More pictures: link C&C welcome

This is my Phase 1 build for the Farm category in AoM. A Mitgardian shepherd relaxes as he watches his sheep graze... C&C welcome
  8. Hi everyone, my church asked me to build the biblical story of the lost sheep in Luke 15. I would have preferred something with elves and dragons, but I did it. It is surely below the general level of MOCs here on EB, but I thought I'd share it anyway. Maybe it does some good somewhere. Please give full respect for the sheep to Kosmas Santosa on flickr: https://www.flickr.c...N03/13968164661 He is the inventor of the sheep. The sheep is very great because you can read all sorts of emotions into it. If you want to use my pictures for educational or whatever reasons, just do it. Ask me and I'll even send you the powerpoint file.
