    DC Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

Yeah I think it's almost obvious that the bikes (or maybe at least Batman's) will be brickbuilt. The batmobile chase being $40 or so makes me think it'll have 2 vehicles unless they are seriously gonna give us some massive 8-10 stud wide muscle car for Bats.

Bricklink Designer Program 2021 Discussion Thread

My predictions for Round 2/3 (with reasons): Windmill (fantasy/medieval) Brickwest Studios (wild west) LEGO store (People have been asking for a proper one for a while now) Bowling Alley (retro) Seasons in Time (novelty item) Space Troopers (the only space/sci-fi project in the whole program + classic space) Studgate (train fans) Diner (retro) Exploratorium (steampunk) Winter Chalet (solid addition to winter village)

For UK (and I think Europe as well?) fans, the new avengers magazine with the helicarrier war machine is out! I am sorely tempted to make an army of him, but then I'd have no budget left for the CMF or for the rest of the year I'll probably settle for a few copies and call it a day.

It's possible this 4+ line-up (which I actually haven't been able to find, how many sets is it?) is about sets related to the upcoming spiderman show for kids: This could also cover the compulsory yearly spiderman sets, giving more space to the mainline Marvel theme for MCU/10th anniversary stuff.

I'm pretty sure it's a churro, although dark tan or med. nougat would've worked better.

    Marvel Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

the fact that they seem to be relying on case numbers of a certain virus to go down so that they don't impact their box office like it did with BW - it seems to be the speculated number 1 reason also as to why we still haven't gotten a trailer, even though we're like 4-5 months away from the release. If it does get delayed, I do wonder what's gonna happen with all the spoiler-y merch. Marvel would probably do everything in their power to prevent them from releasing before the movie.

    Marvel Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

I know people are being optimistic and I don't blame them at all for wanting more X-men sets, but I think we might be over-analyzing a tiny boxart pic on the front of a plastic packet a bit too much. Next year is already going to be packed even just in terms of movies (4 with a rumored additional NWH wave), maybe shows (I fully expect to get at least 1-2 armor wars sets) and the usual yearly spider man sets, perhaps those to go with ITSV2 towards the end of the year. With that being said, I'm still hopeful that whatever they come up with the 10th anniversary of the theme actually represents Marvel as a whole and not just Avengers 10th anniversary sets.

It might be a stretch, but with maybe a different set of legs (or maybe even the same ones) one could repurpose star lord t'challa as

Depending on the lighting in WV, it seems the light grey/white may actually be his actual colours on-screen It turned out better that I thought it would, aside from the lack of blue eyes & forehead piece, I'm happy with him. Curious to see what accessory they give him. Tiny moulded Ship of Theseus anyone?

The first D+ sets being 2 mechs does not make me worried for Armor Wars next year, but only worry (and worst case scenario) about other D+ merch is if they either: 1. put the figs in exclusive packs like the TRU Infinity War one 2. Make them SDCC exclusive (and if they do this I sincerely hope it backfires on them hard) Still hoping for the best and we get some small-medium sets, one for each show.

    Marvel Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

Don't forget the possibility of perhaps getting square enix GOTG sets. Assuming NWH and MOM are the "main" movies, I'd expect them to get the most sets, while the rest get 1-2, at most 3 maybe in some cases (I can see Thor 4 getting 3 sets), and NWH would probably match with SM1 and TASM1 - this means probably at least 10-12 or so sets alone for the movies. Even if the marvel CMF sells like hotcakes I doubt they'll do a 2nd one next year already, so it'll be interesting to see how they deal with making merch of the D+ sets (anything as long as it's not SDCC exclusives).

    Marvel Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

Cap falcon seems the "busier" one because he has many tiny parts/details breaking up the dark blue & white, whereas spidey's detailing is just lines to break up the plain blue. Regardless, I'm happy our first (retail) Falcon Cap minifigure is via a CMF budget that gives him all his detailing, because I'm sure he won't be as detailed the next time he shows up in normal sets. Speaking of which, considering what they did for this first wave of NWH sets - I wonder if they're going to this from now on with MCU movies, and if it might give us a chance to get a "Inspired from FATWS" set whenever Cap 4 comes out?

same issue with wanda - fantastic body printing but it gets weird as soon as you get to the head, which I think it's mostly the shape of the top of the goggles, it just looks weird to me. Also I'm really hoping it's the lighting the pic was taken in, but you can clearly see the white printing on his chest is not matching the white upper arms.

    Marvel Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

Going back to the mediocre Hydra stomper mech set, it seems the renders also have that "new" version of the balljoint cup brick with the extra line in the middle (like we saw with the scrapbuster set), and the IRL pics show the normal version, which is weirder since those bricks never showed up in dark green until now.

    Marvel Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

They'll probably show up for MOM sets, just like the cape. This whole wave of sets is honestly incredible, from the detail of the minifigs to the fact that lego probably remembered the Endgame concept art fiasco and decided to give us accurate representations of Vulture, Mysterio, and Bosco suit Spidey. The only thing that could've really topped it off is if the CMF got also revealed, but considering it's coming out in September that would mean a late July/early August reveal. SDCC is happening at the end of July, which seems perfect to reveal them.
