    Micro "UCS" Models [MOC]

Hello, Brickers! Today I bring you the first two in my series of Micro "UCS" models. Micro "UCS" models are a type of building where the model is built in micro scale, but with full playability and functionality, with as much detail as can be crammed into them. The first model is Jabba's Palace. It has 243 pieces, as compared to the original's 717. It has microfigures to represent Jabba, Oola, Bib Fortuna, Chewbacca, Han Solo in Carbonite, a Gamorrean Guard, and Boushh (Leia). Features include: Removable Carbonite Block, Removable Palace Roof, and detachable guard tower. It can connect to my upcoming Micro "UCS" Rancor Pit. The second model is Jabba's Sail Barge. Based off of the 2013 edition, this model has 14 pieces, with microfigures for Jabba, Slave Leia, Ree-Yees, a Gamorrean Guard, Max Reebo, the Weequay, and R2-D2. Features Include: Opening side Hatches, and Movable Side Rudders. Interior of the Barge, with Max Rebo's Piano, and Jabba,

    Avell Castle

Built for this year's Mini Castle Contest. Finally got me a cause to build microscale, and finally the contest returned. Once again it makes me realise that microscale is what I like building the most, no doubt about it. The contest's scale was game-fig, but I took the liberty of making my own miniminifigures instead. For some reason I don't really like the look of game figs, so it was a fine challenge to think of something new. Flickr Brickshelf (full gallery) Enjoy!
  6. Hi! I just finished my latest mini modular. It's a mini modular rendition of 10193 Medieval Market Village. I tried to keep it simple because I had most of these pieces on hand and only needed to order a handful or so. Anyways, I hope you like it. Let me know what you think. Front: Back: All 7 so far: I reaaaally need to make another corner building. Thanks for looking!

    MOC: Mini Modular #6

Hey! I'm back from a short hiatus with my most recent mini modular build. Here's my sixth build. I got the dark red (1x2) and dark green (1x1) bricks from a PaB cup so I wanted to incorporate them into my latest build. This was initially going to be pink and purple but I didn't have the guts to do it :) Here it is: Front view. I'm undecided on the 1x1 round bricks on the bottom corners. I might revise that small detail. I used the same door technique from past builds. I like it for some reason but need to work on a new technique for variety's sake. Here are all six of my builds to date. From left to right: Apartment, Pizza, Ollivander's, Apartment II, Office, Pumpkin Factory. Let me know what you guys think! Any comments, critiques, or suggestions are appreciated. Enjoy, and thanks for looking. P.S. Maybe an actual camera is in order for the coming holiday season... Edited to update last picture with a cropped version.
  11. Korea is small country in far east asia. Korea is surrounded by strong countries like Russia, Japan,China. Even though, Korea is invaded by those countries in many times, it preserves it's own history and culture. I live in Korea. And I think there're many things to explain Korea, but these three buildings represents recent 7 hundred years. The first one is "Sungnyemoon" built by Chosun dynasty in 1396. It's southern gate of castle which surrounds capitol, Seoul. It's the most busy gate of Seoul. As you know, it was made in Lego 21016. I changed it into 8x8 mini modular scale. Cute and quite good to place with 21016. Recently it was burnt and rebuilt. And the second one is "Seoul Station". It was built in 1900. It's heart of seoul from that time to now. This is old Seoul Station which is now utilized as museum. This is composed 3 part of 8x8 modules and one platform. The last one is "63 building". It was built in 1985 which was tallest building outside of America in that time. " It was designed by the American architectural firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM).[1] At 249 meters (817 ft) high." - from wikipedia. This building represents fast growth of Korean economy after 1945 Korean War. All 3 buildings are in Seoul,Korea. Those represents Korea, I think. I hope you also like these buildings and Korea. ^_^ >> Total view with mifi to consider scale.

  15. After creating my micro X-wing and TIE-advanced, I wondered whether I could design new micro models, or whether my first MOC was just a lucky shot . I decided to expand my collection of builds, aiming for a maximum piece count of 15 per build (so that it could fit in the advent calendar). The TIE-interceptor came first. The most recognizable parts were the wings, so I started looking for pieces. I'm glad with the result, but it would be even better if a "fin"-piece would appear with one straight edge and a pin at that side. But well... I'm complaining too much . Then, I needed a rebel fighter from episode VI (for playability of course! ). I tried the Y-wing and B-wing, but didn't got that far. The A-wing was a tough one as well, because the most recognizable element is the overall shape. I got stuck once more. In the meantime, I was building set 4507 (Prehistoric creatures), and I stumbled across the Bionicle eye piece. It was a hit. The idea of rollerskates as engines followed a bit later on. But the canopy was a real pain... Untill I discovered it was already there with the clip for ataching the nose . My build was finally complete. The TIE-interceptor consists of 13 pieces, the A-wing clocks in at just 9 pieces ! I'm happy with the result, but there's a downside: the fin pieces that make up the TIE's wings are not available in black and the rollerskates are only available in black. None of these models is buildable in real life... so far.

    MOC: Mini Modular Apartment II

Hey there, I've had this mini modular built in LDD for a while now but wasn't sure if I wanted to build it with bricks. I finally caved and bought the bricks needed for it. It's my second apartment building and my fifth overall mini modular. ^ The idea for the building stems from the blue columns. They ended up making the building fairly weak, structurally speaking; I had to make a few modifications (one of which was adding an extra level of plates at the top of the building). ^ For some reason I like putting dumpsters behind most of my builds. ^ Here are all five of my minis to date. Somehow the two apartment buildings ended up being the same exact height. You can see some more shots of the minis on my flickr. Any comments or critiques are always appreciated! Thanks
  17. Hey there! I just finished my latest mini modular builds. These two are the third and fourth builds I've done. A picture below shows all four that I've done. Here they are: "Ollivander's" "Pumpkin Factory" (inspired by flickr user 'RedCoKid's' minifig scale Pumpkin Factory) Here is the lot of four I've done so far: More photos can be seen on my flickr. Let me know what you think! Thank you for looking. P.S. One day I'll get a camera to photograph these things properly. One day...

    (LDD MOC) Mini-scale New York

Found this on my computer today, apparently I've never shared this anywhere before. Created in LDD, and rendered in POV-RAY. I'm sure the scaling between the buildings is all off, but when it comes down to it, I'm quite proud of this little thing. The city that never sleeps, good ole' New York. Hope ya'll like it! Review: 30059 Mini MTT

First of all I request some help from an admin, because I don't know how to make a poll! Thank you Mini MTT When I first saw this set I didn't even know that they released a new mini MTT and I fell in love with it immediately. Then ordered it from a big Lego store in Hungary and I got it today, and I saw there isn't a review here on EB so I put one together for you guys (It's my first). Now let's have a look! Basic info Set Name: Mini MTT Set Number: 30059 Release: 2012 Price: I don't know exactly, probably was sol around 4-5$ (I bought it for 2000 HUF = 9$) Number of Pieces: 51 (http://www.brickset....ry/?Set=30059-1) Minifigs: 0 The bag It's decorated with the commonly disliked Darth Maul logo with his twisted neck and fierce look. In spite I have to say that I like that logo, he is my favorite short-lived Sith warrior. Moving our eyes below we can see the MTT itself in the middle of a fight on a beautiful planet (I'm guessing it's Ryloth concerning that the grey/blue MTT's were shown there first in CW). The content of the bag Here is the pile after a little sorting I have to say that those dark blue parts are astonishing, that color is so beautiful. None of them new but the 1x1 cone can be found in only 4 sets in this color. The instructions It is very little, we don't get a book but it's not necessary for a set this small, so we have the folded sheet with both side printed on. (I'm sorry for the first page) Very fast build, Took just a few minutes with taking the pictures, but it was very enjoyable. Now have a look at the builted set: The MTT Okay here we have it. It's looks very soild and it really is, except the binoculars, somehow they tend to pop off a little easily, maybe I was unlucky and those were made of worse quality ABS... Here are some more pictures: Side Front Back Top Underwear All together Oh and don't forget the spare parts!!! Overall Parts: I think they are okay, we get some rare, very nice dark blue parts, lots of cheese slopes and other common but useful parts. Price: A bit pricey, but it's Star Wars and in Hungary everything is more expensive so if you take that into account then I assume it could be worse. Playability: There is not much, A solid transport vehicle, it can swoosh and that's all. Minifigs: As usual we don't get any. Design: Compared to the size the mini MTT is as accurate to the original as it can be, Lego did a great work designing it, although the colors seem a little mixed up on the complete set, but again, you can't make better details on a set this size. Although it lacks the sense of scale, the rear part is too wide IMO. Final thoughts I've read some comments on this set throughout the web and there were more people who disliked it than those who liked it. I'm in the latter group and I recommend this set because it looks very good, relatively cheap (if you can find it in a store, but looking at ebay prices... ), contains rare DB parts and most importantly..... wait for it..... it's cute. I hope you enjoyed this review, it was my first so I tried to point out anything that you used to read in the experienced review writer's And I apologize for my english

    MSFC: The TARDIS materialises...

I'm new to building MOCs and this is my first ever mini MOC; to go along with the MSFC here. I chose one of my favourite sci-fi shows, Doctor Who - the story unfolds as follows: The TARDIS materialises over the rocky cliffs of Ganymede, where the human workers of Mining Outpost 617 are hard at work. A heavy driller trundles off over the surface of Jupiter's moon, hoping to find a rich source of ore. But what has bought the Doctor to this cold, desolate place? What waits for him under the surface of the moon? Only time will tell. Lucky for him, time is something the Doctor is only too familiar with...
