  2. Preview of my 10278 police station mini modular. 8x8 base plate. 380!!! parts. Number of parts increased once again 25% compared to last year. Height fits my other Lego mini modulars. Stability of all parts was checked positive. Contains two parts, which will be first time released in the modular 10278 in new colours (24246 tile, modified, 1x1 half circle). I'm still optimizing parts/cost usage and working at the PDF instructions. Also have to build the real version to identify issues, so there might be small changes to the final mini. Expected final release mid January. I'll add this informations at my bricksafe page: 10278 Police Station Mini Modular - Bricksafe
  3. Mini modular version of the latest Modular Building "Corner Garage". 8x8 base plate. Fully buildable with 327 parts. Height fits the other Lego mini modulars. Lego PAB is approx. 50-70€. Stability of all parts was checked positive. The gas station roof is the only component, which connects to the base plate using a single stud. So this part is a little bit fragile. As at my last mini modular, I've tried to contain as much details and proportions as possible into the mini version. Unfortunately 45° angled parts are quite complicated at this scale, so that my expected result is not as detailed as i wished it should be. So I would call it a solid design. I've tried a lot of different brick combinations, but most of them are too coarse for the mini scale or didn't allow to connect the next bricks properly. There are a few high priced parts included, like the sand blue 1x2 plates (6198156) or dark orange parts (especially 1x2 plate with slide (4616022)). Also there is an old part included, as this is important for the structure/stability: part 3935 (Wing 4x4/45° right). These parts will result in a higher price than my last mini modular. Without these parts the design wouldn't look like it does. LDD file for free. Happy building, recoloring, modifying and so on https://bricksafe.com/files/shell.shock/moc-corner-garage-mini-modular/moc_cg_mini.lxf Attention: LDD file is missing three 36841 pieces (2x dark orange, 1x medium stone grey), as they are not available in LDD. I have inlcuded 3 parts of the 36840 1x2 plate in the LDD file, so they should remind you not to forget ordering these missing parts. Also LDD still uses old element/design ID numbers such like the 1x1x2/3 roof tiles or trans clear parts. Newer parts are available and much more cost-effective. Please check brickset parts database.
  4. As I don't have enough space to display all the normal modular buildings, I was happy to get the mini modular version (10230). Unfortunatelly 10230 never was continued... So I've build the mini modular versions published by Oscar (o0ger) the last years. Since Downtown Diner 10260 was released, no buildable mini version MOC appeared. I found a few rendered pictures, but they use part/color combinations that are not available, illegal LDD build techniques or wrong proportions.... So I learned a lot of SNOT techniques at Oscars MOCs and build my own mini modular DD. Here is the final result: 8x8 base plate. Fully buildable with 395 parts. No illegal connections. Many many SNOT and offset techniques. Use of regular available parts. No rare, high priced pieces. Lego PAB is approx. 35-40€. Stability of all parts was checked positive. Height fits the Lego mini modulars. I've tried to contain as much details and proportions as possible into the mini version. There are some modifications regarding the usual mini modulars "rules": # At the backside there is an offset of 1/2 stud at the first floor relating to the base plate dimension. # The friction pins are cut in half and the right side friction pin area has some gaps because of the ground floor offset. With removing the technic bricks and pin you can completely close these gaps using a 1x3 teal brick and jumper plate. And I had to use a single colour option at the outer side of the roof. There is a 1x4x1 1/3 teal brick as Lego doesn't offer any suitable 1x1 rounded part to build a white/teal edge as on the inside roof. In favor of the front view I decided using these option. Maybe there might be a better solution with new parts in the future. https://bricksafe.com/files/shell.shock/moc-downtown-diner-mini-modular/MOC_DD_Teal_off.lxf Attention: LDD file is missing one 36840 piece, as it's not available in LDD. So this one is not included in the BOM! Also LDD still uses old element/design ID numbers such like the 1x1x2/3 roof tiles or trans clear parts. Newer parts are available and much more cost-effective. Please check brickset parts database.

  6. Hey everyone! I haven't built much of anything over the last couple of years but finally got back to it. I designed this mini modular a few years ago and just got around to actually buying the pieces. I initially planned to use red, blue, yellow, green, orange, and purple but decided to go with the dark and sand colors because they're a bit more subdued and fit my mini modular street better. I might swap the sand green and dark red. The dark red seems to be a bit hidden when its with other building and I think think red provides a nice contrast with the rest of the colors. MOC The Dragon Bank

Dragons are the best security a bank can have, probably why the goblins of Gringotts kept one in their vault. This is my mini version. There is an interior to the bank as well but it was too difficult to capture due to its small size. MOC Mini Kingston City Hall

Celebrating Canada's 150th Birthday in miniature. This is based on the centre section of Kingston City Hall in Ontario, Canada (I have added a photo of the entire building). The City Hall, built in 1844, once served as the Capitol for the province of Ontario and is a Canadian National Historic site. For random part usage, the round sections above the clocks and above the entrance are the tails of Daisy and Donald Duck. image by Karen Metz, on Flickr KTown City Hall Mini by Karen Metz, on Flickr KTown City Hall Mini by Karen Metz, on Flickr Kingston City Hall Mini by Karen Metz, on Flickr Kingston City Hall Mini by Karen Metz, on Flickr KTown City Hall Mini by Karen Metz, on Flickr

    Micro MOC Town LDD

Hello everyone. Here is my 'Micro town'. I made this thread to show my mini-modular works. But not just only modulars, for example the first building is based on a iconic set from the 80's Legoland era. Basically, the 8x8 size is the standard. So here is one of my first and favorite work : Fire Station Made in LDD I hope you like it, and I will post another part of the city soon.
  10. I've created another mini version. ^_^ How can I make my posts into one post? Admin requested me to do. But I don't know how to do it... plz someone help me. PS. You can download lxf file from my blog. ( http://legodaystar.blogspot.kr or DirectLink )
  11. Hey there! I just finished my latest mini modular builds. These two are the third and fourth builds I've done. A picture below shows all four that I've done. Here they are: "Ollivander's" "Pumpkin Factory" (inspired by flickr user 'RedCoKid's' minifig scale Pumpkin Factory) Here is the lot of four I've done so far: More photos can be seen on my flickr. Let me know what you think! Thank you for looking. P.S. One day I'll get a camera to photograph these things properly. One day...

  15. Finally I did made townhall and petshop in real bricks. During making in real bricks, I found something is missing in LDD files. (I'll do fix them sooner or later) And assembling is too hard for others. I think I should change all LDD file into easy-to-build version. But I'm too lazy...Orz Sorry. Anyhow in some day, I'll do fix them. Plz stay tuned to my blog. ( http://legodaystar.blogspot.kr/ )

    [MOC] Mini Modular Apartment

Hi, I'd like to introduce to you my first ever modular MOC. I'm fairly new to Lego so my collection is small. Therefore I think it's only appropriate that my first modular MOC is in the mini modular scale. Please note the studs on the roof (rear view) represent a rooftop garden. I'd appreciate any feedback as I plan to add new creations to my 10230 set over time. Additional photos can be seen on my flickr account http://www.flickr.co.../in/photostream
