    [SPC] Cat C - Infiltration

That sound that you just heard was me squeezing in under the deadline. Sorry for not much of a story. S.H.A.D.E. has infiltrated the office of Snark S. Snork and is taking the place apart. The hired guard is valiantly holding back against the intruders, but they seem to be too strong. While part of the crew distracts the guards, Ironhelm Jack is secretely making a new entrance into the huge gem vault. Meanwhile, upstairs, KingFisher has his hands full with the security. lots more photos on my flickr Go check them out! Thanks for looking. C&C welcome.

    [MOC] Imperial Fort Point Terran

Hello all! I've been building, rebuilding and adding to this build for quite a while. I built this fort because I recently got some of the new bluecoat sets, and I got the Bluecoat fort, and I thought it was a bit unfair for my Redcoats for not having a fort at all. So I made one. I would've posted this MOC sooner, but due to lack of water pieces, the MOC wasn't complete. Yesterday, I got enough water pieces to fill up the ocean part of the MOC. The Fort is not based off of anything really, I didn't use any pictures to build it, I sort of just built it. *Note* Although I'm posting it as complete, I'd really like some further suggestions, and the chances are I will add to the fort as I get more Bricks, maybe even expanding it or something. So if you have any suggestions/comments or even criticism, PLEASE share it. This is my first fort, and my 3rd Pirate MOC. Now, let's see the fort. Here is Fort Point Terran. Fort1 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr Here is the front view of the fort. Do note, in some pictures the lighting may be a bit strange so please, forgive me. We have the front of the small fort, along with some rock the fort was built into. Off to the left, we see the Governor's rowboat arriving. Fort2 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr A close-up of the rocks. A fort's officer, and one of my favourite redcoat awaits the Admiral. Fort3 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr The back of the fort. The Fort's only cannons are at the back. I think it looks pretty good. Fort4 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr "The Governor's arrival". Here's a good look at the water. A fair mix of clear, dark and light blue bricks. Fort5 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr The left side of the fort. A parrot looks around, well sitting on the fort's wall. A bit more of the rocky wall, only a bit lighter. Fort6 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr Okay, I don't see how the men can do this everyday. A super small space, with the fort's ammunition supply, cannons, soldiers, small "jail" and the Commander's table. Fort7 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr Another view. Fort8 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr Lastly, the overview of the fort. My personal favourite picture that depicts the fort, It shows the whole interior. Well, I've hope you've enjoyed. I will continue building forts, ships and vignettes for pirates. Please, tell me what you think, i'd love to know how to fix/update or expand the fort, or just see you opinion. Thanks for reading!
  3. Presenting Capt. Fist and his hearty crew of cosmic corsairs! Their infamy as ruthless scallawags is spread all across the galaxy, and while it has earned them the ire of the Imperial police, it has also earned their fear--few be they who dare to tangle with this motley crew. Many a ship there be that has surrendered at the first sound of even so much as a warning shot from Capt. Fist...Which is exactly how he and his crew like it. After all, the best fight is the one you win just by having a scary reputation. Of course, they still fight when they have to, committing a massacre here or there and leaving only a few survivors--to tell the stories of course. What's the use of being fearsome if you kill off everyone who might spread the word of fear for you? Besides, once word has got out that a pirate has gone soft, it's nothing but work, work, work all the time. Truth be told, however, they like quick surrenders because that leaves more time for their favorite game, pirate's dice. On to the crew! Sloroth the Savage First mate Sloroth was always scary: his scaly skin, red eyes, and scraggly mustache were menacing enough, let alone the two pulse pistols he wields with deadly accuracy. But the problem was, he was just...Sloroth. That is, until Capt. Fist suggested adding "the Savage" to his name, after which his fame as a bloodthirsty blackheart spread like wildfire. Speaking of wildfire... Fogo Chen Chen is a bit of a gearhead, which is a good thing as he has had to build himself prosthetics after burning off so many of his actual limbs. He is also, as is probably evident, obsessed with fire, which occasionally leads to mixed results. He helped design and build Capt. Fist's ship, the Flying Fist; fireproofing was high on the list of necessary design features. Arsenica Starstriker Arsenica never leads anything to chance; she is a meticulous planner, and is stubborn enough and determined enough to see that everything goes according to that plan. She is the crew's navigator, and is also tough as nails. No one is quite sure how she, being human, is able to breathe in space without a helmet, but she isn't about to let something like asphyxiation get in her way, is she? While her weapon of choice is a light phase cannon, she also loves tossing tetra bombs as well. Gnaark the Unhinged When it comes to reputation, Gnaark's name says it all--and those blades back it up. Slightly Generally unstable, it is the one no one wants to sit next to during a round of dice, and everyone makes sure the rum is on the opposite side of the table from it at all times. Manahu Not a member of the crew, but a loyal ally to Capt. Fist, Manahu is the leader and shaman of his people. He and Capt. Fist were first allied fighting a common enemy, and soon became friends. He can summon spirits and other cosmic forces through the oracle he carries in a glass sphere. In return for Capt. Fist's assistance to his people, he granted unto the captain a special gift. And last of all, Capt. Abraham J. Fist Capt. Fist is a merciless villain who will stop at nothing in the pursuit of gold and other valuables. Before he met Manahu, he was a decent enough pirate, save for his poor eyesight--one of the problems that come with having a head less than one stud tall, you know? But Manahu gifted him with a companion from the spirits--a crow. Once summoned, the bird leapt to Capt. Fist's chest and immediately began to peck out his tiny eyes. After a moment of panic, the captain realized the sensation he felt was not pain, but clarity: his eyes gone, his vision was the bird's own. Now he can not only gain a greater perspective of the scene during the heat of battle, but he is even better at picking out gold and other shiny objects. 5. Ahoy! Here is my entry for Category A of the Space Pirates Contest: Space Pirates by -Wat-, on Flickr from left to right: Jimmy Rumbelly: Though Jimmy is as thick as two short planks he is a good hearted and loyal man. He is always drunk from cheap bottom shelf liquor. Z-3BO: Though it is said that he is one of the best protocol robots, he was discharged by the Imperial Army. He later was found by Jimmy Rumbelly on a scrapyard, Jimmy repaired him and since this day he is an inherent part of the captain's crew. Captain Thatch: Tha Captain is a brave man who is feared by the Imperials and space merchants and loved by his crew. It is said that he is a descendant of the famous Captain Blackbeard from the old pirate days. Colonel Winters: Colonel Winters is one of the most cruel and selfish men in service of the Imperial Army and he hates pirates more than everything else. Imperial Juggernaut: The Imperial Juggernaut is a series of battle robots used by the Imperial Army. It's weapons are a flamethrower and a mighty drill that can break through nearly any material. Lady Alice Winters: Alice is Colonel Winters daughter, she is said to be one of the most beautiful and also most dangerous women out in the galaxy. At the age of 16 she decided to run away from home, because she didn't want to become a Lady and marry a rich merchant like her father wanted her to do. She wanted to live the life of a Space Pirate with all it's treasures and adventures, she always wears a black mask to hide her identity. Her favorite weapon of choice is a purple lightsaber that matches her wild purple hair. I hope you like them, C&C welcome! Jonas
  6. 174C Well my 79008 Pirate ship was sailing alongside the IFS, BSB & QAR. Needless to say she was the silliest of them all without cannons. So it was time for a mod! Hereby I present you the 17 gun Corsair "Flying Arrow" Details: 12 side cannons 2 front cannons (chasers) 1 back cannon (defender) & 2 upper deck mini cannons It will be one of the ships I will use in the upcomming Brethren of the Brickseas! The Cpt. Matt Lenoir has the right to Privateer under the Eslandolian flag, permission granted by my upcomming main character, the governor of Stedor. So here is Cpt. Matt Lenoir: And the flag: C&C ofcourse welcome! note: to keep the atmosphere of the original ship, I did not touched the front and back :)

    Port theft getaway

Here's my newest Moc. The pirates have been running through the port all day with stolen gold and gunpowder, the soldiers are in hot pursuit. They see their ship up ahead, it's right next to a cannon fort. It's gonna be close. Untitled by mlarbconnor, on Flickr Untitled by mlarbconnor, on Flickr The pirates set a fire in a nearby food stall as a diversion. Untitled by mlarbconnor, on Flickr A pirate from on board shoots the swivel gun while another takes out the soldier at the cannon. Untitled by mlarbconnor, on Flickr One pirate jumps into the water and swims toward the boat with the stolen gunpowder. 8. Phew! Finished this in time because my partner for Cat B didn’t have time to finish it so he gave it to me to finish. Comparison photos between the builds will be in the 2nd post. I also was so glad when it was 275 parts because I forgot that it had to be under 700. And onto the build, review style! SSSS- Octopus Asteroid Outpost No one knows when this set was release, but it seems to be a variation of set PPPP half way down this post. The set doesn't have any play features, but let’s get to it. Set: SSSS Name: Octopus Asteroid Outpost Theme: LEGO System / Pirates / Islanders/Space Year: Unknown Pieces: 275 Minifigs: 3 + Octopus Price: $29.99 About .10 cents per part, not a bad price. There is no box known to exist. Overview of the set: This pic just shows everything that the set includes. Minifigs: I have to say, I love the castaways bubble helmet and the male Asteroider. The female Asteroider is very odd to me but I guess Lego I didn't have a good enough head for her. And the octopus: Just a normal ‘space’ octopus. Nothing special here. Castaways Vehicle: I really like the design for this, it appears to be a crowsnest from a larger spacecraft, and it runs on fuel, so he will probably run out of that fast… Asteroid Ship: Really reminds me of the Asteroider Trading Catamaran that Lego I produced. And also resembles the boat in the 2nd post in a spacey way. The set without anything extra. The Final Tally Design: 9/10 Great design overall, but lacks the playablity of a normal set. Parts: 9/10 Most parts are very usefull, but they are still a bit basic. Minifigs: 8/10 Two Asteroiders, one of which, is great, while the female one’s face is a little weird. The pirate is probably my favorite minifig from this set, I just really like him. And the special space octopus…very enjoyable. Playability: 9/10 Still fun to play with, even with no actual features. It can entertain you longer than you think! Overall: 35/40 Overall, a great set! Definitely worth buying building! More Pictures: =================================================================================================================================== PPPP- Octopus Island Outpost No one knows when this set was release, but it seems to be a variation of set SSSS in the 1st post. The set doesn’t have any play features, but let’s get to it. Set: PPPP Name: Octopus Island Outpost Theme: LEGO System / Pirates / Islanders/ Year: Unkown Pieces: 204 Minifigs: 3 + Octopus Price: $24:99 About .12 cents per part, more than the other one! Still pretty good though... There is no box known to exist. Overview: Overview of the set with everything according to what I would think the box art looks like. Minifigs: I really like these minifigs, just for the classic pirates vibe they give. Though, there appears to be a CMF in it making it appear to be a very recent set… + The ‘special normal’ octopus… Castaway's Vessel: It’s a pretty average castaway crows nest, but still it’s a great part of the set. Islanders Boat: Overview of the boat. It really looks like the Enchanted Island boat, but it still has its differences. The Final Tally Design: 9/10 Great design overall, but lacks the playablity of a normal set. Parts: 9/10 Most parts are very useful, but they are still a bit basic. Minifigs: 8/10 Two Islanders, both of them are great! Really remind me of the old sets. The pirate is your average castaway pirate, nothing too special. + The special normal octopus…! Playability: 9/10 Still fun to play with, even with no actual features. It can entertain you longer than you think! Overall: 44/50 Overall, a great set! Definitely worth buying building! Comparison Pictures: Islander statue has 'ears' because the helmet has ears, but on the Asteroid helmet, the helmet doesn't have ears, and that's why the statue doesn't have 'ears' either. More Pics: I will add one more pic of both builds together tomorrow! C & C welcome! ~Beltar
  9. Here is the crew of the infamous pirate Commander Greckan, along with some other....associates.... The notorious Commander is seen above alongside three of his crew members, from right to left: - His treacherous first mate Evalirus, from the Enocloran species - Commander Greckan himself - The brainless muscle Bloog, from the manufactured Bloog species - And lastly, Steve. Here is one of the unending hive mind policing the universe, protecting innocents against the likes of these space pirates: the Cyberimperial Guard. This is unit #32 of the space sector which these pirates primarily pillage from. To conclude, here is an example of what is known as an islander throughout the universe, simply because of language roots on Earth. The 'islander' tribes which still exist were some of the first humans to pass the boundaries of their galaxy (nearly three millennia ago in the 1980's), but, unable to return to or contact their homeworld they soon devolved into what they are today. * * * Thanks for viewing :-) I'm pretty happy with these minifigures, and the stories I've written up for them. Theme mixing contests are always fun.

[SPC] Cat C - The Flying Fist

Of all of the pirate vessels roaming the Caribbean galaxy, perhaps none is more notorious or feared than the Flying Fist. Flying Fist - polling image by rodiziorobs, on Flickr Captained by the merciless Capt. Fist and his bloody band, the Flying Fist has defeated the Imperial police on countless attempts. The most notable episode (the one most retold in drunken song in taverns 'round the galaxy) involves twenty Nova-class Imperial cruisers, an asteroid field, a well-timed disruptor blast and a very angry Terrillian Ape. The Flying Fist is a small craft and very swift. Its main engines are three medium-weight Magellan thrusters, which have been modified to withstand extreme energy capacities. The reason for this modification is the custom da Gama suprasorb energy sails; originally developed for power generation from solar energy, they have been specially treated with ionic tetraflutamine to increase their energy absorption from all spectra. While this process also strengthened the normally fragile sails against physical blasts, it means that rather than doing damage, energy or laser shots--especially direct hits--actually supercharge the fuel cells, to then be used to power any of the ship's systems--the engines, the cannons, the shields, etc. The ship actually gets stronger the more hits it takes. Armaments include small rockets, countermeasures, targeting missile systems, and of course each crew member's own personal arsenal. But the big guns are the three heavy phase disruptors on either side of the ship. They fire concentrated alternating energy beams that can rip right through even armored ship hulls, and can usually weaken shields sufficiently enough to let the other weapons do the rest of the work. Other ship features include two flight decks, on-board controls for energy and weapons management, nav center, lower positional thrusters, and that sweet alien skull on the stern to strike fear into the hearts of those lily-livered Imperials! See the crew, Capt. Fist's Bloody Band, my entry for Category A. See more photos of the Flying Fiston my Flickr page. There are also more further below. Check out the rest of my creations on Flickr ****** A couple of notes and a few pictures With this ship, I wanted to give it a feeling of a Chinese junk, with the square decks and battened sails, and also use a non-traditional color scheme. It does not feature a full interior (that's taken up by the cannons), but the front of the lower half of the ship holds the navigation center, and the top half is easily removed, being attached by only a few studs (yet it is still pretty strong and swooshable!) The entire lower half of the ship is built upside-down. I wanted to avoid treating the underside as an afterthought, so I tried to include some good detail on there as well, but this meant I had to build a base for it to stand on.

[SPC] Cat A - The Flying Gang

For my entry, I present Space-Nassau's feared pirates, "The Flying Gang". Captain Black-hole Jack Clever and fearless, Jack Stackem quickly made a name for himself. Or would have if he could come up with one. Intent on rectifying the situation, Stackem set off to find a deadly space anomaly from which he could gain inspiration while also recklessly endangering his crew. After two weeks of searching, Jack was unable to locate such an anomaly. His crew, however, was able to locate a rip in his black shirt and, with it, a fearsome new name for their captain. Deadward Breach Shot through the heart in a heated battle with a roving band of glam rockers, Breach was brought back to what the crew is hesitantly calling “life” through the miracle of black magic science. Quartermasters are responsible for disciplining the crew, and Breach is no exception. Though he might not have blood rushing to his brain anymore, he did bring back something special from the other side to help him do the job. LAN Bonny Widowed at an early age and orphaned even earlier, LAN learned quickly to rely on herself. It took many years but, with the guidance of Black-hole Jack, she learned to trust again… in her Mark-18 blaster and shoulder mounted laser cannon. No, LAN is not an android. She just realized that life as a pirate would be easier if she pretended to be an android -with perfect winged eyeliner- rather than a lady. Doctor Quasar Henry “Quasar” Morgan dropped out of medical school for a life of adventure with an unnamed team of space explorers. Unfortunately, though not at all surprisingly, he found space exploration to be a dangerous vocation. Most of his team met their grisly end… not quickly enough. Faced with a change of heart that he insisted was wholly unrelated, Quasar joined Black-hole’s crew as head surgeon. His first choice, foot surgeon, was already taken. Zedro de la Faser Raised in the outer reaches of the Voraxian Empire on Her Majesty’s Earth Colony of Spain, Zedro is the crew’s chipper engineering intern. Figuring that a summer spent helping a less evolved species would look great on his resume, Zedro joined the crew intent on being the perfect human employee: he complains about his boss, loves casual fridays and waikiki wednesdays, and is quick to point out that it’s always happy hour somewhere. Bartholomew Bart is a parrot. He is also the cook. No, he is not a very good cook. Give him a break; he’s a parrot.

    MOC treasure island

This is my latest MOC for my Pirates theme. I wanted a decent size island for the pirates. It has a simple skull rock, treasure and lots of green. Torture Island

Comic Good day to one and all! So this is my first MOC posting that I wanted to share. I picked this because the first post I ever saw on EB was a pirate comic, and I just saw another one today that I enjoyed. I made this late last year while designing a new Lego ship to build, and I just felt like making a comic to take a break and have some fun. I apologize for the lighting on this, I know that it is too dark on one side. Thanks, Plaid Beard

    Another Budget Imperial Flagship

174B Earlier this year I decided I wanted an Imperial Flagship. It's very expensive even for a used one... So I decided to see what I had at home. It turned out I already had most parts. So I ordered the missing parts and sails and I think I got away at around €100-150. Due to the price of some parts I've had to swap colours, mostly the masts and the dark brown parts for which I use black. The dark bley fence pieces are also swapped for black ones. Sorry for the bad pictures. Battling against my newly acquired Black Seas Barracuda:
  17. Hello everybody! I`m back with entry for Category C of Space Pirates Contest. In search of ancient treasures Dr. Grace Starwave, Capt. Roger van Hamme and Zal Garo (brave crew of the 'Silver Chicken') explore the ruins of an ancient civilization in search of the legendary treasures of Smith Robotson. Thanks for watching! I hope you enjoyed. C&C are welcome.
  18. Here we have a project I've been working on over the past few weeks. Its a MOC/MOD of about 10 of the new 2015 Imperial soldiers outpost sets, 4 of the Soldiers Forts, and even a set or 2 from the 2009 Pirate line. In the background is one of my 2 Imperial Flagships, and all the sets have been combined, MOC'ed, and MOD'ed, into whats supposed to be a giant Imperial Port and trading center. This MOC is supposed to create the feeling of a very busy, hustle and bustling fishing port that's controlled by the Imperials. This is my first time showing a MOC here. I hope you all enjoy it, and there is a link to my flickr with over 100 pics to enjoy. https://www.flickr.c.../131395669@N06/ 20150325_012210 by homeinvestors777, on Flickr 20150324_220557-1 by homeinvestors777, on Flickr 20150325_004156 by homeinvestors777, on Flickr 20150324_235526 by homeinvestors777, on Flickr 20150324_235802 by homeinvestors777, on Flickr 20150324_225348 by homeinvestors777, on Flickr 20150324_223111 by homeinvestors777, on Flickr 20150325_000654 by homeinvestors777, on Flickr 20150325_015751 by homeinvestors777, on Flickr 20150325_002855 by homeinvestors777, on Flickr 20150325_004830 by homeinvestors777, on Flickr 20150324_225745-1 by homeinvestors777, on Flickr 20150325_000155 by homeinvestors777, on Flickr 20150324_235802 by homeinvestors777, on Flickr 20150324_222455 by homeinvestors777, on Flickr

    WIP Brig of War

163C UPDATE #1 http://www.eurobrick...5 UPDATE #2 http://www.eurobrick...5 This past year at the University, I ended up running across the Master and Commander series. After reading through them, it rekindled my love for the golden age of sail which in turn rekindled my desire to build a proper sailing ship out of Lego. My overall goal is to create as realistic a brig as possible (although I might take some creative liberties if I really want to). This is just my first draft of the project so some things are probably going to change before I am finished with her. Some bricks (lime green and orange) are simply place holders until I can get the right brick in the right color. Please ignore the poor photography. I didn't want to spend a whole lot of time worrying about the lighting. It is a WIP, after all. In case it's not clear, the quarterdeck only extends to the rearmost guns. Although it does seem a little wide, it's proportions are fairly consistent with some brigs, mainly USS Niagara. Here are the guns I plan on using. 18-pounder (left) and 12-pounder (right). More pictures available here. https://www.flickr.c...157644875567878. Could someone tell me or (better yet) show me a picture of how the bowsprit connects to the ship? Does it go through the deck like on a post ship or does it simply connect to the main deck? Comments and criticism welcome.

    LDD MOC HMS Royal Oak

LDD 16D Hello all, I`ve been working on a LDD ship a long long time, but they all have just grinded to a halt. Whit LoneBrickersSG`s topic and his first ship in LDD did really give me the spark. (A big thanks to him and the credits) So, I did copy the basic of the hull, and then modified it here and there till I was happy whit the result. The look has been heavily inspired by HMS Ontario which was 22 gun snow, serving in Lake Ontario during American Revolutionary War and did sank in a storm 1780, and was discovered again in 2008. Now, this ship does not have as many guns as HMS Ontario, one reason being that there's just not enough space, and that the bow is just one big piece. But it only lacks 2 cannons less that Ontario did. Im planning on coming back to this ship. Maby, perhaps building it in real bricks some distant future as i am becoming a father this June. So no time for Lego's really. I will try and work on the stern, as its too low and doesn't really please me at this moment, Also the bow will be made again, adding some guns, making Her just a bit longer and bigger perhaps. My goal on making ships is not to look extremely polished and pretty on the outside, but to make sure I would be able to do it in real bricks, and that it would be sturdy, so forgive the rather "Gruesome" look as im not a professional ship builder or anything. Pictures in my Brickshelf http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=554614 Captain Becker PS: I did ask his permission to use his model, but he hasnt read it, or replied. Im sorry if it was not OK for you

    Treacherous Tides Video Series

Recently I and some friends decided to create a Lego Pirates Video Comic Series. The production's title is: "Treacherous Tides" and is in the works, aiming for release of chapter one in early May 2015. It's "just for fun" but we plan on a very immerse story line. It's not stop motion, rather, still frame images with ken burns and sound effects in addition to some cool music. We won't be doing any voice acting, instead we will be using speech bubbles. Here is a preview: (Don't watch the Batman one, it's old and not very entertaining, as it has no sound or motion.) Send me some kool names, and we might eventually use them in the series!
  22. It is well known Ninjas and Pirates hate each others. It does not matter they didn’t even have the chance to meet in real life. In fiction the rule of cool stated they must hate each others despite historical consistency. But perhaps in one of the infinite universes there is a ninja-like warrior wielding his sword against the evil bandits who pillage the coasts. When I saw a Ninjago Minifigure next to a very old Pirate set of mine I decided to turn the concept into a “Lego story” This short Brick Comic tells this story... "Bricks of Justice" Feedback and opinions are highly appreciated. This is just a short Brick Comic I made with no script but it takes time to edit, add dialogues etc so your opinions are truly appreciated May the Brick be with You

Comic: The Curse of the Simian God (Part 4)

Comic Hi, here is the fourth part of The Curse of the Simian God So, this part ends the "prelude" to the story. To continue I will have to build a lot of MOCs and to take a lot of pictures (which has not happened yet). BTW: "simia" is Latin for "monkey". Thanks for watching! Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 I hope you like it - C&C welcome!
  24. Although I can't participate in the "Space Pirates" contest by using LEGO's Digital Designer (and changing colours etc.), I still felt inspired by the contest's theme. So I played around with some Ideas and created the first two members of my crew. You can find more pictures in my LEGO-Folder on my homepage!
