  1. Hello :) I'd like to share with you my first submission to LEGO IDEAS - Rocky Reef Restoration (link). The idea is about saving the coral reef but with futuristic twist in form of a giant jellyfish submarine :D It is 1500pcs build full of marine life and with many play features. If you'd be kind enough to spare few minutes please check out the link above and I really hope you'll like it enough to click the support button! I leave you with the main picture and a promise that the rest is equally interesting :) Cheers!
  2. A History Hello Eurobricks users! I am here to explain, educate, inform and entertain with an article on this very subforum you are reading. Whether you are a regular to this section or are here because you accidentaly clicked something on that pesky touchscreen (you could have sworn you tapped that other one, right?) I hope you bear with me and take a look at Action and Adventure Themes. Action and Adventure Themes Here is an elegent and finely crafted timeline-ish of Action and Adventure themes. Spanning 1995 right up to the here and now of 2015 (twenty years..Peppy feels old). Subthemes missed for space, else this baby would be massive-er, Click to embiggen.. Just what is an Action and Adventure Theme? Action and Adventure Themes isn't an official LEGO name, while Pirates, Town and Technic are taken from current or past LEGO branding, Licensed is pretty much self explained and Star Wars is a no-brainer. Action and Adventure came about as a place for some of the outliers that needed a home. Story driven themes that had named characters front and centre with a mission or quest to undertake. Of course, plenty of SciFi themes have a storyline and named characters but Action isn't quite SciFi. Those themes just aren't Skiffy enough to be SciFi or normal enough to live in Town. ATV, Goodguy, Badguy. ATV, Goodguy, Badguy... Giant Space Mantis ATV, Goodguy, Badguy... A Badguy made of Toxic Slime. Sure, there are helicopters and motorboats, even ATVs that would happily fit into a City, but that chap there has a super lazer and he is chasing a man made out of radioactive slime. Not enough spaceships or aliens, but too much toxic ooze and lazers. There are a few more features of an Action and Adventure theme. Take a look at some Classic advertising I have re-discovered.* *X Soft, a big ol' nostalgia bomb! You might have noticed a little something. There was some sort of linking line through all of them that can be found even in the latest (including the one marketed at girls) Action and Adventure themes. Collecting things! Collections and Crystals It is a surefire perfect way to get people buying and buying, or more accurately getting children to ask for/demand all the things. A Collection gimmick. Gotta Catch 'em all! To do that you have to buy all the sets, from that nicely priced set a little pocket money will get, right up to the huge cornerstone big-box build that has a princely sum attached. There are Baddies to be captured, keys in all forms, weapons that grant powers, weapons that will grant a bad-guy a power the good-guys have to stop. They come in pretty colours with printed designs and all fit neatly into something on the biggest set. All of them are unique and only one in each of the sets. Unlock the gates, collect the weapons, stop Pharaoh getting his mummy mitts on the kit! If it isn't unique things to collect it is something a little more basic. Crystals! Lots and lots of crystals. Amass more than the enemy or enemy factions, collect them with a cool play feature or fight it out with a game mechanic. They came in all sorts of colours and finishes, shapes and sizes and reasons to collect. Power source or valuable commodity, you have to get more crystals than the other guys. A gemstone. A Chi Crystal While some in-story were more generic and had less of a reason to collect them (or it was outright unexplained) those Action and Adventure theme factions sure loved their crystals. Like I mentioned earlier, these were not just lying around to be picked up. Sometimes you have to play a little game. Game on! Another thing that sets Action and Adventure themes apart from the more mundane of real-life roleplay are games to build and play. A section of the game, complete with a nifty plane! While Time Cruisers was the first Action and Adventure theme to have a board game, the game itself was separate from the sets and came with some LEGO as playing pieces. The Adventurer's Orient Expedition Theme had a trio of linkable game-boards and playing cards included in the three larger sets. Through a combination of item collection and challenges you earned points to win the game. Game Cards featuring heroic characters After quiet a hiatus filled with Video Games and an increasing internet mini-game presence a new Action Theme arrived with a new and exciting game. Ninjago! Spinjitzu Warrior Combining the age-old game of battling tops (gasing pangkah - look it up!) and playing cards, with the popular characters of colourful Ninjas, Ninjago has been going strong for four years. While there has been a spinner-less gap of late, it is set to make a return to a battle game later this year. There isn't much more to be said about this subject, something I am sure other members could tell me more about! Card Games On Motorcycles! With the success of the Ninjago theme there was another attempt to combine a toy and card battle game with Legend of Chima. Flywheel powered Speedorz, launched along by the rip-cord, can navigate obstacles to win Chi crystals. After a slightly unfortunate redesign of the 'fairing' no further speedorz are coming along and Chima is ending, but not every theme can last as long as some. Videogames As well as the good old chunks of plastic pitted against each other in competition, Action and Adventure Themes have a number of computer games to go alongside the storys told in comics and internet material. There have been many LEGO Multimedia games and characters from Action and Adventure themes have featured in them in varying roles. However Rock Raiders was the first Action and Adventure Theme to have a game to itself. *I miss the old LEGO Media bit, that soundbite! On Playstation and PC, you collected the energy crystals to help the heroes escape the mystery planet and return home. Alpha Team was next to get the game treatment, with a PC and Gamboy Colour release. (Aaand now I have to go and sit in a corner and feel old, have a video.) *I miss the old LEGO Media bit, that soundbite! **and that is why Cam and Dash are my LEGO OTP More recently Ninjago has been bringing the goods with the Battles strategy game, Nindroids and upcoming sequel Shadow of Ronin. The RPGs supplied to us by Travellers Tales, purveyors of fine LEGO gaming experiences since 2005. So Now you Know and Knowing is Half the Battle. I hope this article has informed and entertained. Action and Adventure themes have always been my favourite. Fun, strange, sometimes packed with radical new ideas. Certainly loaded with colourful characters and colourful parts. Action and Adventure themes cane burst into life and fizzle out quickly or have a staying power no one expected but always pack in plenty for us to remember. Who knows what will be coming up? Will we dive down to the seabed again or dig out some crystals? Is there a daring Explorer ready to venture out into the unknown? Or some new and unexpected direction to give us even better prints, parts and colours to enjoy? Whatever it is, I hope we all get to come along for the ride!

    [MOC] Hidden Oasis

Presenting one of my newest MOC redesigns, the Hidden Oasis! There's kind of a longish story behind this one. I started building something that was kind of similar to it for a LEGO Ideas entry way back in the day, in 2019-2020 ish. I've always been fascinated by Egyptian architecture and Ancient history themes, and I also have this weird thing where I tend to choose a single piece and see if I can build something around it. The teal flower petal was the factor for this MOC. I saw it and was thinking about ancient Egyptian hypostyle columns and the stylized lotus capitals and thought "ooh, maybe I can build a column around it!" I ended up building the hall around the columns, and then expanding to include a base with kind of a musty ancient tomb atmosphere. I also have a fondness for trying to replicate water features in my MOCs, so I included a garden area in front of the temple with date palms, lotus blooms and papyrus. The original iteration of this MOC was actually larger than what this final model turned out to be. It was really ungainly, because I made the pools perpendicular to the temple, rather than horizontal like I ended up with in the final version. So there was this nice compact temple, and then this long mess of plates sticking out the front that made our real brick version impossible to carry around or display properly! So this new version is a bit more stable and a lot more compact, which I like. The original version also had this really cool lotus roof structure to the right of the hall. I was inspired by a movie I saw back then that had similar roof styles. I don't have a picture of the older MOC which is a shame, but when I was redesigning it, the roof on the lotus tower was a little too hard to replicate. (I should also mention that we moved in between iterations, and the version I'd created in real bricks was disassembled, placed in a bag, and then I had to reassemble it. Problem was, I only had a couple of pictures and the original digital file was corrupted. Lesson learned, always have backups! Reverse-engineering a MOC from an exterior picture is hard.) Another favorite feature of this MOC are the two Anubis statues guarding the staircase. I'm normally not the greatest at creating brick-built things like statues, my brain just doesn't work spatially to create the right angles and curves and things. But I think they're quite cute, especially the little ears! The date palms too were really fun to design. They are surprisingly not as unstable as they look. In the real brick model that we have on our shelf at home, they stand up pretty steadily and only break if I really knock it around in transit. (The fez pieces are sturdy, plus there's a bar inside the cone that holds it in place pretty well). As you can see the real brick counterpart is slightly different. Small differences in pieces and things like that. The digital version is the more spruced up version that I will eventually fully create once I modify the brick version, just have to order a few more pieces. Currently I've been adding more treasures to the interior of this digital design's real brick counterpart, the sarcophagus piece comes in really handy for that. And it makes for a good sort of display for my old Pharaoh's Quest minifigures!
  4. An older build that I somehow never got around to post on Eurobricks. The MOC is trying to capture the spirit of the old sets, while also trying to recreate the minifigs with new parts.
  5. Hi everyone. I'm new here, and I really, really wanted to show you my latest MOC... the legendary Scrooge McDuck's Moneybin. The project is also available on Lego Ideas (link at the end of the post), but first let me give you a tour, so you can check with your eyes if it's worth your vote . Be sure to scrool the pictures till the very bottom. I promise you won't regret it. LEGO SCROOGE MCDUCK'S MONEYBIN by Matteo Sperati, on Flickr This is the front, with the iconic huge dollar sign. The armored door is the first element of playability: it can be opened and closed pulling the two bars attacched at the side of each half. Also, it is not very clear from the picture, but the small stairway has two lion heads at the bottom, to give the entrance an imposing and intimidating touch As you can see is quite a tall building (33,3 cm, or if you prefer 34 bricks, from the baseplate to the top of the dome). On the roof we have the famous dome, that here I adapted into an helicopter landing pad. I couldn't not include the cannon to shoot at the evil Beagle Boys and a telescope to read the newspapers for free. Ok, now the interior. I wanted this set to be fun for adults to build and extremely fun for kids to play with, so it had to be easy to access every feature. The easiest way was to put the front wall on a separeted baseplate, so all you have to do to 'get in' is to push it away. As for the floors, they can be easily removed thanks to the trail design: they slide in the groove bricks inside the external walls, so it's easy to get into action And now the ground floor. I designed to be the most intimidating possible. Imagine: you are a business man and you have a meeting with the richest and toughest duck in the world. As soon as you enter, you don't have the time to enjoy the nice floor with dollar mosaic because you notice that a security camera is pointing at you. The frame with "TIME IS MONEY" also is not very welcoming, you wait your turn on the green sofa... and then you realize that is placed right in front of a giant anti theft protection cannon. As if it this wasn't enough, you also have a Scrooge McDuck's painting that seems look at you. AND IT IS, because that wall hides a secret passage, with an hole to spy from behind the painting... but what's so important that Scrooge wants to hide? Treasures, of course. What else do you expect from the richest and most adventurous duck in the world? Notice also the black lever to turn back the secret passage ;) Here you can enjoy the anti-theft protecion cannon in action... "Say hello to my little friend" And now the first floor, with the private rooms of Scrooge. On the corridor, a picture of him from when he was to work as gold prospector in Klondike, but most of all, the frame that says "There is no such a thing as talent, only inspiration and ambition". But let's see better the others room... Have you ever tried sleeping on a canopy bed made of 100 dollar bills? Trust Scrooge, you will sleep like a baby Sleep well, but get up early: Scrooge knows it well, he even has a frame in front of his bed to remember it. On the bedside table, a nice family picture from great comic writer Don Rosa. SALON 1 by Matteo Sperati, on Flickr And now the salon, or is it better to call it "Worry Room" ? Why do you think that carpet is threadbare that way? Scrooge's nervous walking, of course. What a shame, it was only 60 years old . We also have a library, a pendulum clock and a marble bust with laurel leaves (I can easily Scrooge get inspired by great leaders from the past). Here is Scrooge, literally showering in money, happy as a baby. He even has the shower curtain made of dollars And finally the second floor, with his big office. This is definitely my favorite floor, I made sure to put EVERY SINGLE DETAIL that I remember from the comics: EVERY SINGLE ONE. There is the giant vault door, the display case with his beloved number 1 dime, the earth globe, the weelbarrow full of coins, the pyramid of coins with Donald polishing them, the money bags, the graphic wih his profits skyrocketing, the gun on the wall, the desk with multiple phones and an old crank calculator... but wait, what's that lever under his desk? This is my favorite feature. I didn't like the classic way to make the trapdoors work, with the stick to be removed and then manually put back. No, I wanted it to feel real, so I designed the mechanism in a way that opens the trapdoor when you push the lever forward, and automatically closes it when you pull it back. What do you think about? Please let me know Ok... now the moment you were all waiting for...what it would be the MoneyBin without the giant money pool with his 3 cubic acres of cash? Let me explain how it works: sure, you could open the vault hatch, but to access the money pool, we actually have to go to the back. The back wall can be removed (it's easy to pull thanks to four bricks that stick out). With the back wall removed, we can admire the money pool thanks to the 9 big transparent panels . We have the trampoline, the giant meter to measure the level of cash... and not a single coin. why? Maybe the Beagle Boys stole it all? No, it's empty because you are the one going to fill the MoneyBin. The MoneyBin is in fact a giant piggy bank, that you can fill through the apposite coin slot on the back of the roof. Once filled, this is the final result AND NOW THE IMPORTANT PART... Guys, this project is available on Lego Ideas at the following link --> https://ideas.lego.com/projects/a633c276-5b5b-40fe-badd-217263dc37a8? Probably you all know what Lego Ideas is, but in case you don't, here is how it works: 1) users (in this case me) upload their creations 2) other users vote them clicking the yellow button support (you need to have a Lego account, it's free to create one) 3) When a project reaches 10.000 supporters, Lego's experts will take it in exham to evaluate if produce it as an official Lego Set. Very simple. Thanks to all the ones who will help this project become real
  6. Here it is! Refinished and redone, with a couple of added bits and bobs, the Mountain Oracle! Ascend the steps of her mountain sanctuary, and just maybe she'll speak to you of the future. This is a MOC I created a while back, I've made some upgrades since the first version. The fountain down in front, as one, as well as that waterfall coming out of the mountain. And a second partial tools up on the hillside to the right. And yes, that staircase is a lot more sturdy than you'd think. It's supported from underneath the platform landing as well as by several clear supports that are hidden behind the staircase itself. This is the original MOC, that's been improved. This MOC (the resubmission) is now gathering support with blazing speed on LEGO Ideas! If you like it and wish to support it, please consider doing so! Thank you! :) https://ideas.lego.com/projects/f31174e5-f828-4ea8-858b-9014d457cbfc You can check out more pictures here on the Flickr page!
  7. =========================================== THE THRONE OF GONDA =========================================== Resources: Characters: Maps Goals Chapter 1: Homecoming In gonda by North White, on Flickr The ships had been anchored in the bay of Gonda, since the port was officially closed to all traffic. Scratches, their rower, guided them towards the docks. "The Great whaling ships of Gonda sail no more." Remarked Delilah, seeing the wreck of a ship against the dock. In gonda by North White, on Flickr "Things have gotten worse since we left." Said Isabella "Well, the WTC is here to fix things!" Said Agnes In gonda by North White, on Flickr The crew disembarked onto the remains of the pier. Old crates and bottles were scattered everywhere. "They're late." Said Delilah In gonda by North White, on Flickr They waited in silence for a few minutes before the carriage arrived. In gonda by North White, on Flickr They loaded in, and were off, leaving the docks behind. The Palace awaited! In gonda by North White, on Flickr To Be Continued... Thanks for viewing my build! This launches my new AMCRA, which will attempt to flesh out Namere, and tell a new story in the old world. C&C appreciated!
  8. This set was one of my favorites when i was young. It was my first "big" lego set and Orient Expedition was one of my favorite themes. Therefore i started to recreate this set in Stud.io and maybe I'm gonna get the parts to build it. I started with Sam Sinisters (or Baron von Barons) biplane, this is my first prototype: Doppeldecker, auf Flickr Doppeldecker_2, auf Flickr Doppeldecker_3, auf Flickr Doppeldecker_4, auf Flickr Let me now if you have any suggestions. The next part is going to be the ropebridge.
  9. Support a LEGO Idea? Submitted this idea to LEGO, but built it to fill a need for more steam punk builds in general. Anyone who's familiar with steam punk have some details they would add to this that could make it more appealing? In 1865, a time traveler came to Abe Lincoln and told him his gruesome fate. Wanting to avoid this, Abe agreed to come aboard the time traveler's vessel and live his best life: treasure hunting through time! Along the way, he gathered a crew of history's most adventurous people. Along with Abe came Cleopatra, Sun Tzu, Socrates, Robin Hood, and Blackbeard. He persuaded these celebrities of history by offering fame and fortune beyond their wildest dreams. The vessel itself is a hardy steam-powered copter ship that can travel on water or through the air. It is driven by a lightning rod device that uses static electricity in the clouds and lightning to power its fuel cell attached to the wheel. That wheel is connected to a helm clock and an engine clock where the crew can set a course for any time throughout history. One can remove the rear deck in order to stow helpful items and treasure! A rear propeller thrusts forward movement while side propellers affect the yaw. Heavy chains keep the rotor and engine assembly stable while in flight. Get ready for adventure and fun as this all-star crew wets their feet on this maiden voyage tea party! Support this time machine idea!
  10. Special Thanks to you all. My Lego ideas project (X Eyed Junction) is about to reach 1K. Creativity and imagination is the concept of Lego and this project too. It is an entire new idea in itself. A thought from imagination to reality. Never seen of heard before. 10,000 votes will make this junction becomes a reality. Click the link and hit "support" => https://ideas.lego.com/projects/07905230-58bd-4963-8662-a89dddcdbe34 You would not have ever heard about this. It is an Innovative idea. No Movie!!! No Theme!!, but just imagination and innovation. Designers start on a theme and then the fantastic model comes up, but here its exactly reversed. The JuNcTiOn got created first and then the name, theme started to pop up. Sounds little Funny right, but it really worked. Look at the name and link it with the Junction. The 2 Big X symbols at the Top and of course not to forget the EyEs looking for you. From this the name came out as “X Eyed”. To further on the excitement, we both (my 7 year old champ and myself) tried to Rhyme and shine. X Eyed becomes X Sight (Rhyming with Excite). That’s about the name. Like wise there is much more interesting things. Hopefully you CuRiOsiTy is arousing more and more COME one, COME all In every Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall, X EyEd JuNcTiOn is standing Tall. Awaiting to Welcome you All !!! Location It cannot be in a forest of cement (city), but some place which is little windy and the natural air keeps the atmosphere cool. Can’t think of a long highway stretch alongside a beach, but of course little desolated. This location serves a natural feeling and suits the JuNcTiOn. Surrounding The JuNcTiOn, in its own, is open from all sides as like our ThOuGhTs, which have endless possibilities. For better ambience, the 2 antique cars and stranded ship has been positioned on each side. This does not completely cover the JuNcTiOn, but it wraps an amazing feeling over it. Entrance The entrance will surely catch your attention or should I say, it will catch your Eyeeeeee. Whether it’s the X Eyed at the top or the little plants on the side. Careful !!! there are monster tooths on the pillars. Of course, you can’t miss the 4 circular studs hanging around. The pillars combine and form the shape of an Asian palace or temple with a golden pyramid at the top centre. A small red light at the centre is eagerly awaiting to welcome you. Hey!!! Wait, don’t drive away with Antique cars. It is for your pleasure only… Hope you enter soon !!! Inner place Hey, its really great and amazing. You have finally set your foot in here... We always spot big things first and so you will notice the Stranded ship. But there are other things too. You can better hop to the corner glass holder to get you glass or grab a drink from the table. Did you notice, there are 2 semi circular areas where you can stand out loud or just have a heighted seat. Cautious !!! Don’t bump into others as its gets little crowdy sometimes. You can always take a quick snap with the stranded ship or just Hop on to the Antique cars for fun. The EyEs are not just at the entrance. Look carefully, it is also at the Antique Cars and the Stranded Ship. It is like signaaaaling you Beware !! We are keeping an EyE on youuuuu… Color The color combination is revolving around Brown and it shades with a combination a dark red. This matches to the color theme of Sand and goes well with the surroundings. Light & Bright JuNcTiOn opens up in the evening and the transparent lights of red, orange and yellow brighten it up. The light and color theme goes hand in hand. It will glow in the dark. Don’t you think that the NaTuRaL Mooooon Light will further add on to the charm. Stranded Ship Don’t Whisper and tell this to anyone. Let me tell you a secret… SsSsShhhhh… It is not a ship but a ship like structure so that people get amazed. I just got some old parts from a shutdown factory, colored it, assembled it, put on some lights and that’s it…. Does not really look like… I know, but don’t share this with anyone. I Trust you Antique Cars Why does it have such a design? Whats so special about it? Think, Think and Think. Whosoever visits here is thinking on them and so will you J. You figure out for yourself. Take some time to think.

    [MOC] Jackal Staff Oasis

Welcome to the Jackal Staff Oasis! Deep within the sands of a long lost desert, the glittering oasis beckons. Rising amongst magnificent date palms and tranquil, lotus-covered pools, is a fabulous temple containing the vast treasures of the surrounding kingdoms. Young Amata has been sent to retrieve the fabled, powerful Jackal Staff contained within this lush paradise, to bring back to her kingdom in need. I built this MOC digitally about a year and a half ago, with the intention of using it as a contest entry, but then ended up not using it. Later, I revived the design and built it in physical bricks. The model has 1522 bricks total, and measures 12" long, 15.6" wide, and 8.9" high. My favorite part about the whole build is the garden in the front with the water features and the palm trees. A close second would have to be the columns for sure! More pictures can be found in our Flickr album! https://www.flickr.com/photos/orientexpress24/ This MOC is currently up and running on LEGO Ideas! Any support would be greatly appreciated! You can support it here: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/4dbf14ab-a99a-4252-9949-e59d34fc6616 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sItTWTtWhjk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=towPSgd78t4
  12. Hello everyone, as i didn't see any Mods topic for this set, i decided to start it myself, and to start, i would like to share with you the LDD file for the official set (not sure if there was one already), there are some parts missing and some pieces are not fully connected (could i have used developer mode to solve this? yes, but for some reason i decided just to place apart the pieces i couldn't fit in), here is the model: Missing parts: -x4 24118 Panels in Dark Purple (Brick-built and grouped in the model) -x11 6167281 (I didn't add any substitute) -x1 6187734 (The rope) LDD file:http://bricksafe.com/files/imanol/42069/42069.lxf And next is my modifications for this set so far, the first thing that i wanted to do was to put wheels and tires, and because this is an snow-themed set, i decided to put tumbler tires, and i knew that these tires didn't look good in those very wide axles, with these tires the vehicle would look silly, but after narrowing the axle a little bit, i think it is looking like an authentic snow expedition vehicle (it even looks like an JLTV from the sides), i also changed some colors, but is just a test (the model is still WIP): The goal is XL-Motor for drive, Servo Motor for steering and M or L-Motor for the winch (and possibly some lights): I hope you like it, i will try to make more improvements, and i am looking forward to see more modifications by any other member, have happy modding.
  13. Adventure MRCA : The second part of the map Adventure Introduction : It is now well known that Felipe de la Manzana is looking for the Golden Apple. It is well known that this treasure has been hidden by the Gods and can provide Knowledge to the one who bites it. It is well known that Felipe and his faithfull First Officier encountered Native tribes that helped them to find an incomplete map that could lead to this treasure. Well, if this treasure is real... The Adventure begins : For now, Felipe de la Manzana is more than sure the Golden Apple is at his reach and he is just lacking the second half of the map he managed to collect in the Lost Golden City. He sent over many ships (and even, a phlogisphere...) to finally have a lead to where to look at... He is now sure the Pirates brotherhood called the Old Beard Caliquot Gang, in Low Town, Charlatan Bay, has the second half of "HIS" map ! It's not tolerable ! He has to act ! So, he sent his most trustfull man, his First Officer, Basil, to a secret meeting in a tavern in Charlatan Bay. - Nice to meet you, Tezclatipoca. Said Basil sitting at the table of the native. - Heyrr ! snarled the cannibal swallowing an apple and a glass of rum. - I am here today to talk to you about an opportunity ! A great one ! You'll never lack anything to eat ! The last sentence hit the glouttonous native strait to the stomac. - Never lack food ? Ever ?! he spit with some projections from the previously eaten apple. - Yes ! I assure you that my boss will provide you all the food you'll desire at any time and any cost... Added Basil, strong of the intel he's got about the greed of the cannibal. - And what d'ya want in exchange ? Carefully asked Tezclatipoca now curious and with an empty plate. - Let's get inside, and I'll explain you all our plan in front of a good meal I am offering you ! - Ok ! Hope yar wallet is well rounded... And the native followed the lead of Basil. Once downstairs, on the main room of the tavern, the cannibal ordered a Pantagruelish feast ! The kitchen of this little inn of the Low Town suffered of the glouttonery of Tezclatipoca while Basil extracted from him and its lack of attention the main information he was sent to collect. - So, my dear friend, Now I bought you this promising meal, can we discuss... - Yar ! Shurre ! Spit out the native engulfing the pies, apples, chicken legs and other delicious food he had at his hand. - I would like to know something... Something your captain may know... Something about a map... - Arh ! The half map of our captain ! It's not a secret ! Ahah ! You paid me such a meal for that ! Laughed the cannibal. - Yes, because I don't want to know where he is hiding it, but I'd like to know where it leads... And I'd like to know the secret he is hiding with his first officer. I know the actual first officer of your captain was not the first Dreadfull Bill but I'd like to know who was the first. - Arhh... that's an intel ! Yelled the native cannibal. Ok, so, with your garranty of having all the food I want and, not being armed during your raid, I can tell it to you. - You have my and my boss words on those two points. I can garranty this to you. Ensured Basil. - Ok, it is rummoured that the old first First Officer of the Captain was an ancient Eslandolan guy named Juan de Hespérida. He would had been cast away by the captain because of the map you're searching... So be careful ! We arrrh supposed to sail towards Eslandolan coast around Nellisa to catch nice preys this run... But I didn't tell ya ! - Juan de ... Basil spit out all his cider hearing this name. It is the outcast Felipe and I... Oh ! That's astonishing ! Once back to The Brickwall Frigate, Basil explained the conditions and the course of the Old beard caliquot Gang to Felipe de la Manzana. - Well, my dear Basil, it is simple ! We need to catch that pirate ship ! Steal the map and, if possible, save the native who sold you the intel. Strange that we found the former first officer of this pirate crew as an outcast at the beginning of our journey... The gods have strange moves sometimes... Let's set sail north west ! So this is my run for the Adventure MRCA ! Summary : * Participating ship : The Brickwall * Locations : heading from Charlatan Bay towards Nellisa. * Departure port : Charlatan Bay, Inferno Pordejon * Arriving port : Nova Terrelli, Nellisa * Goal : Chase and intercept, with the Brickwall frigate, the pirate vessel called the Red Nose Deer lead by captain Old Beard Caliquot. Board it and rob the map to the Pirates. If, possible, the side quest would be to save Tezclatipoca from the pirates to hire him. * Characters : Felipe de la Manzana, Leading the Brickwall and the mission. Basil de Eslandola, First Officier on the Brickwall. Captain Old Beard Caliquot, Pirate captain, captain of the Red Nose Deer, a pirate predatoring vessel. Tezclatipoca, the glouttonous cannibal, sailor on board of the Red Nose Deer, betrayed Old Beard Caliquot.
  14. Flameo my fellow Avatar fans, I’m a huge fan of ATLA and I need your help. Recently I have submitted a project on LEGO IDEAS, it's the Spirit Oasis from Avatar: The Last Airbender. As you might know LEGO IDEAS is a website which allows users to submit ideas for Lego products to be turned into potential sets. So If my project reaches 10.000 supporters it may become an official LEGO Product. Many Avatar Fans including me would love to purchase another LEGO ATLA Set since the original sets from 2006 are not available anymore. Check out my project: The Spirit Oasis Project on LEGO IDEAS All you need to do is press the support button and create a free LEGO Account if necessary. Thanks a lot, Every supporter counts!
  15. So, I've been pretty miffed about dolls since they came out. I actually was pretty interested in the friends set as a concept as there is a market for it, I just think the dolls were a misstep. Elves, on the otherhand, made dolls even more of a misstep, turning it into a tragedy. For background, I love fantasy, and I love Dungeons & Dragons, and Tolkien, you get the idea. For a while, we've been rather deprived of a proper fantasy setting, and I feel elves could have alleviated to downright fixing this problem. However, I feel that the potential of the theme was diminished when they decided that Dolls and the more 'cutesy' molds would be an integral part of the theme. I don't dislike, in fact I heavily approve of the color decisions, both from a moc perspective, and a theming one to depict a more fantastical and fey fantasy setting. Hell, I'll probably pick up these sets at some point when depicting my D&D groups going through the feywilds! The hair pieces they went with are perfect for stuff like Eldarin, Wood elves, and high elves, even more D&D style gnomes in their younger years (if you haven't picked up on it yet, I'm always hoping Hasbro sells of Wizards of the Coast so that LEGO has an excuse to pick up D&D as a theme!). But going back to the dolls themselves, they lack a great amount of customization (I'm pretty sure the forums have threads on this already), and I feel were a wasted opportunity for more minifigure designs: heads, torsos, legs, accessories, all muddled by introducing the dolls. At least the hair is compatible. I understand that LEGO is trying to vie for a share in the girl's toy market, but I feel that it's not the best way to go about it. For one, they isolate a lot of the LEGO market by using the dolls in the first place, as I know some AFOLs don't like using them as they have very little range of setting or look. Why did LEGO decided to place dolls in one corner of the market when they could have made a really appealing all-rounder simply by using regular minifigures and more interesting molds? Do the dolls have more fans than I give credit for? So, I guess the reason for posting this is, do you think LEGO will come out with a new fantasy set soon? I know Nexo Knights had a really small wave that probably marks its end (didn't keep up with news if it was cancelled or not), and how long is Elves lasting? Are they going to release more Tolkien universe sets with the new Netflix show? Are they ever going to make a new original IP or revive Castle in the near future? I'm not caught up in the current rumor mill or what's been revealed for next year, so I'm wondering if any of this has been addressed recently.

    [MOC] Cliffside Villa

Well, after a long period of not doing much besides the giant Eleitian Central Command model, I present to you my newest model, The Cliffside Villa! The idea came about last Sunday, I was procrastinating on doing stuff I was supposed to, as one does. I decided to expand on the bridge, which I had been building as a standalone concept but couldn't figure out what to do with. I was going to build a fairytale castle on the cliffs that I eventually made behind the bridge, but then it morphed into an entirely different building altogether! The porches, stained glass window, and other elements of the actual pavilion came about next, after I'd laid the groundwork (literally) in the form of the cliffs. I then decided to make it into a combination of my previous Temple of the Moon Maiden MOC and something more open to interpretation. So it could be used, (it sits on a baseplate totaling 32 x 48) as an addition to a modular city! Perhaps a large city park with a pavilion, or some form of garden! From my official description: It's a fine spring day at the Cliffside Villa! The Moon Priest contemplates the deep questions of life on the porch, while his daughter strolls the elegantly appointed walkways of the garden. Two guards stand sentry by the staircase, protecting the inhabitants of the Villa from harm. Explore all the secret nooks and crannies of this large set, from the bell tower to the fish pond to the stained glass window behind which the statue of the Moon Maiden is placed! Set features: - 2568 Pieces - 7 Minifigures: The Moon Priest, Moon Priest's Daughter, Statue of the Moon Maiden, (2) Garden Statues, (2) Guards - Villa features a large stained glass window, metallic Statue of the Moon Maiden on a raised pedestal, and two spacious porches. Upper story features a movable bell! - Elegant bridge crosses a large frog pond filled with lily pads and other aquatic plants. See if you can spot the frogs hiding down there! - Statuary adorns the garden, which is built onto the cliffs with beautiful brick-built birch and cherry trees in full bloom. - Relax on the small bench set below one of the statues! - Features multiple unique pieces, such as the Ornamental gold fish adorning the roof, the Moon Priest's staff, and much more! - Spacious basement level beneath the Villa is perfect for placing hidden treasure or whatever you need for added suspense! But don't just follow that one story for this model, use your imagination to make it your own! This model, on baseplates totaling 32 x 48, can be placed as a standalone model or a complementary model for your modular city! Use it as a pavilion, a city park, or a historical monument in your LEGO town. This MOC is now on LEGO Ideas! If you want to, please help support it, I'd love for it to be one of the lucky few that makes it! [MOC] FOENIX - Energy: Bricks Project

Hi Everybody, I want to document the way of the FOENIX - Warrior with LEGO Bricks as a MOC. The FOENIX - Warrior is a combat Fighter against injustice. The idea is to build LEGO MOC Vehicles, which the FOENIX - Warrior uses, to fight against injustice. Here is the first Review:
  19. Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, BEHOLD: The Mighty MAZ 7310 Uragan Cargo Truck, in LEGO! This massive set, which I have designed over the course of two years, stands almost ten inches tall, two feet long, and is comprised of almost 7,000 pieces. I sat at my computer for hours a day, sometimes, surfing the web, looking at blueprints, building, deleting, building some more, etc. And now, finally, I can reveal my masterpiece to the world! Bwa-ha-ha! Okay, anyway, I have designed my set for maximum playability, stuffing it full of all sorts of awesome goodies, like opening hood, doors, tailgate, and utility boxes. A removable roof, folding rear seats, free-spinning wheels (including the steering wheel), two Diesel engine options, a generator, compressor, radiator, Master Mechanic's Toolkit, fuel and water drums, 12v batteries, large cargo container, winch, wide-load flags, roof racks, warning beacon, fog lights, two sets of mirrors, lightbars, and more! (Whew! I'm out of breath!) Now, for the real machine: The MAZ 7310 (Minsk Automobile Plant, in Russian), was a large 8-wheeled Missile Transport truck built in the 1950s and 60s. Soon after, people started using them as cargo trucks, tankers, tow trucks, and airport fire trucks. Alright, that's it! Thank you all for looking at my LEGO creation! If you have any questions, comment, I'll do my best to respond ASAP. Happy building and have a great day! Update: Also, some of you may have noticed that the cab of the real vehicle is slightly longer. This is true, I had to shorten the LEGO version out of necessity, as the extra length could’ve affected my MOC’s stability and structural integrity. I suppose I could probably figure it out eventually, but I like it how it is. Thanks for understanding!

    Classic Space Outpost MOC

Hello everyone. I haven't been out of the dark ages for long - just 3 or so years. Although the Millennium Falcon is what dragged be back into LEGO, my passion has always been with Classic Space. I've spent ages (literally ages) creating this base. I submitted it to LEGO Ideas last year, and then proceeded to making massive changes to it. I have submitted the modified version it to Lego Ideas recently, but would really value a discussion about it with people on this board :)

  22. Episodelist: Episode I ~ Samson Brody < you are here Episode 2 ~ Fonticulus Episode 3 ~ A Blessing in Duisguise Episode 4 ~ The grotto's Episode 5 ~ Captive of the Mardierians Main characters: Alfie Fraunces, Sea Rats Samson Brody, unaffiliated scientist Captain Le Faou & his comrades Corrington naturalist turned privateer, whom will be discovered in the coming episodes! "Gold? Here on the Crag? This is surely nonsense Samson. You came all this way to find.. to find what exactly?" A stern sea-rat coxswain told Samson Brody in Alfie's Place while drinking heavily: "How do you plan on finding this lake anyway? It'll take weeks to even map this dreadful rocky island." "What a pity, you are not the man nor do you have the stomach to lead an expedition.", Brody told the first mate irritated. "Gold?"~ Alfie Fraunces joined the two, who where enjoying themselves in his cafe. His men already told him about a Corrington-looking dandy who arrived in The Sereen Cay. "Alfie my name is. Welcome on the Crag. You where discussing?" Alfie spoke in Arlinsport dialect, the place Brody originated from as well. Hearing a fellow countrymen Brody answered: "A man of the fatherland, I hear! A fine establishment you run on this island sir. Very nice to meet a countrymen in a place so far from civilization indeed. I was just narrating the chances this island has to offer!" "Here we go again.." said the first mate before sipping his last bit of Trappist beer and leaving. Alfie was quickly interested and invited Brody to his office upstairs. There the two spoke about the legend of the Corrington Naturalist turned Privateer who was last seen on the Rock. The Naturalist was, according to Brody, and old friend of him years back on the university of Arlinsport. The story goes he left this earth and his treasure in a secret cave inside the Rock. A cave hard to find and harder to leave... Since the surface of the Rock was very difficult to enter and to investigate, Brody needed more men. "Hard to enter. Harder to exit. The perfect hiding place for a lifelong earned stash of gold mr. Fraunces! We will surely find whatever is on this island together!" smiled Brody. Little did they know, someone was eavesdropping... The uninvited guest of the conversation knew Alfie was up to something. And this particular pirate was know as capt. Le Faou. Le Faou and his crew where waiting for their ship: which was being repaired in The Sereen Cay after the tsunami in Mesabi Landing. "Listen up boys. We are bored out of our minds here. Today I passed by the cafe and overheard Alfie Fraunces talking to a real fancy lad. I swear they are up to find something and I intend to find out what it is. I say we we follow 'em, wait our time, and put them in the ground after stealing all valuables! Who's with me?" The End - For now. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hi all and I hoped you like the introduction to a story I tend to build up in the coming months. In this community I value the high regards to quality over quantity accompanied by a good story: and I want to contribute. Landscaping is not my talent and therefore I thought a story in the Rock would be a good place to train my Moccing skills. Architecture I like much more, and I want to try new things as well as good old nostalgic aspects of LEGO pirates, as some here know. So constructive criticism is always welcome and enjoy the story! Much more is coming! An overall view of the last vignette:
