This one was a relatively quick and small build, but I'm still very proud of it. Soon enough, I'll graduate to bigger MOCs, but for now I've got this! EDIT: General updates, + textured roof + proper placing of pieces

Recently I and some friends decided to create a Lego Pirates Video Comic Series. The production's title is: "Treacherous Tides" and is in the works, aiming for release of chapter one in early May 2015. It's "just for fun" but we plan on a very immerse story line. It's not stop motion, rather, still frame images with ken burns and sound effects in addition to some cool music. We won't be doing any voice acting, instead we will be using speech bubbles. Here is a preview: (Don't watch the Batman one, it's old and not very entertaining, as it has no sound or motion.) Send me some kool names, and we might eventually use them in the series!

Jake Raines is out in the desert seeking a rumoured lost Sphinx. He has a tough car to track through the near non-existent roads and shifting sands. So, I bought a mostly complete Rise of the Sphinx on eBay and haven't got around to sorting the parts yet. I whipped together this car from what was in the bag of parts. I like the challenge of limits to parts. I think this came out all right. It's also my first build in ages, most of my collection is awaiting the completion of my LEGO space... On closer inspection, it looks like I need to give these parts a good dust!

Over in the discussion for the new Indiana Jones 5 movie, I jokingly named a possible 1970'2/1980's successor to Professor Jones's legacy, Amazon Rex! I made some custom figures for Amazon and his pals, and since I don't have a MOC for them yet I figured it would be best to post them here. Officer James Grayson drives a motorcycle through crowded city streets to chase a dastardly villian who has stolen a museum exhibit, with Ms. Virginia Williams sitting behind him... Meanwhile Amazon Rex is trying to keep up with the chase, but due to the lack of a car is using a rope and a snowboard to stay tethered to his friends motorcycle! So yeah, enough of the silly story, here are the figures. Other than the three introduced in the previous pictures there is to the far left Dr. Heinrich VonBron, a "Neo-Organization that must not be named in Lego", who is determined to find ancient artifacts with power; and to the far right is Amazon Rex's old mentor who needs no introduction... Thanks for reading!

"I'm Going on an Adventure!" This creation was built for the second round of Mocpages' Middle Earth Lego Olympics contest. I succeeded in passing through the first round with my previous creation "No Loyal Friend", which has me currently ranked first in the contest. Anywho, the category for round two was Characters, with mine being selected as Bilbo Baggins. So I decided to build a creation that depicts the moment at which Bilbo drops his everyday life and runs towards his adventurous journey. Build Time: 3 Hours Enjoy! ~Nemo

Jake and Prof. Hale need a vehicle to get around when adventure calls. The Ranger is equipped for all terrain environments and is also road legal. With this work-horse of a car they can reach any site they wish. I do love building cars. Adventure cars are my favourite. While I was building new minifigures for Adventurers and making custom adventurer/explorer figures I decided to smarted Prof. Hale up a little. The entire look is taken from this photo: This is a photograph of Howard Carter at the dig for the tomb of Tutankhamun. (He's the one in the bowler hat, not the fez...) When I found the suit torso I just had to use it, though I can't be sure of colour accuracy!

Enjoy everyone, this was a pleasure to build. There is a high price for food out here! The worms we have been traveling alongside are easy to catch, nourishing, and so far, free of any negative side effects. And on top of it all, they actually taste good! They are, in fact, the main food source of most of the species that make their home within the Desolation, a lesson we are learning the hard way. Ambushes staged by the most bizarre creatures are constantly waged upon us, as they try to devour both us and our wormherd. Two days ago, we were attacked on both sides of the path by a pair of formidable predators. A hissing blue animal resembling a spiked manta ray exploded out of the slime and attacked Quane, who wielded her staff against it. As I rushed to help her, another creature blocked my path; a huge, spindly beast with a beak and a crest atop its narrow head that rose out of the marshy ground, snapping at me with jagged claws. I swung my weapon blindly and heard a sickening crunch as my staff sheared off one of its pincers. The monster shrieked and retreated beneath the smooth treacherous surface from whence it had come. I turned to Quane who had bludgeoned her assailant to death. Later, we tried eating it, but it tasted bitter. Overall, we had only lost one worm, but it was only one battle... The journey continues... This is a bad angle, but it is the best one I could capture. Thanks for having a look.

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away... The escape from Nar Shaddaa begins! The back of the diorama and the Valkyrie... From a captured speeder, Jacen Solo launches himself at the Imperial forces wielding lightsaber and The Force pushing stromtroopers into the polluted clouds below. He doesn't know what's going to hit him! With Luke in tow the Valkyire powers into the sky. THE PLAYERS Jacen Solo ambushes an unwary stormtrooper. Deflecting blaster-fire, Jaina Solo secures Luke's tether to the Valkyrie. Luke Skywalker, older, but ever as strong with The Force. The deadly Boba Fett makes a shocking appearance where the galaxy had once thought him dead! Trooper TK-2407 in pursuit of the enemy. Mynocks abound on Nar Shaddaa. The polluted skies have little effect on these vermin of the skies! The Valkyrie's pilot. My entry to the main section of The Future of Star Wars contest sees an older Luke Skywalker escaping the Imperial Remnant with the help of Jacen and Jaina Solo and the New Republic ship Valkyrie. It's been a hard slog getting this finished, dabbling in lots of different contruction techniques and a lot of trial and error over the course of several late nights. I've even been refering to my wife as the 'LEGO Widow' (thank you so much for your patience). I wanted to encapsualte everything I feel is quintessentially Star Wars: Spaceships! Speeder chases! Adventure! Daring rescues! Imperial entanglements! Wild creatures! Faces old and new! I hope I've managed to capture the spirit of Star Wars - and hope you think so too! Thanks for looking and best of luck with the contest everyone. Tonight, I'm having an early night... Brickshelf folder and all pictures live here when moderated.

Not sure if anyone is interested, but apparently there's going to be a Lego Duplo animated short film featuring Jake and the Neverland Pirates on Sunday. I like how it has that semi-brickfilm style that The Lego Movie had. Is this the first Duplo TV special? http://youtu.be/YZmWZWVDwXg
