I have seen others recreating the sets from the 2013 Castle line. Here is my take on "Forest Ambush." I made a small recreation of it. Unfortunately, in mine, there is no gold cart, puppy, and the bad guys win And here is a link to my FLICKR to see the first picture in the photostream: http://www.flickr.com/photos/92878490@N03/12914198254/ There is also a story attached to this in my FLICKR, as it is a build for my character Silas in the Lands of Classic Castle found at www.classic-castle.com I tried to incorporate new tree techniques and small foliage in ways I had not totally seen yet. I would appreciate any comments or criticism on the build itself.

Hi all, A while back I posted my medieval abbey in this forum. Thanks to everyone who posted there, sorry if I didn't reply to specific questions but I was away at the show and since I came back I have been away a lot with work. I am hoping that this time I can respond to questions in this thread! As I mentioned the abbey was part of a collaborative display created by 8 builders (names are Flickr links): James Pegrum, Barney Main, Luke Hutchinson, Harry Russell, Steve Snasdell, Jimmy Clynche, Tom Coleman and your humble narrator. This display was on show at the Great Western Lego Show in Swindon, which took place in October 2013. The display was approximately 4m by 5m, and due to a cutout area measured 14m2. Although most of us had never met before in person, we had great fun displaying it and enjoyed our weekend. We might even do another display at future shows! Below are a few photos, although a few more will be appearing in the coming days. There will eventually be [Prev] and [Next] links on every photo to take you through them (42 'official' photos) but we are waiting on a few people posting theirs so please be patient! This time I promise I will answer any relevant questions 8 Display from South by Cuahchic, on Flickr 1 Display from South-East by Cuahchic, on Flickr 5 Town Square From Above by Cuahchic, on Flickr 9 - Overall view of Tigelfah by peggyjdb, on Flickr 1 Tigelfah Castle and town by peggyjdb, on Flickr 8. Now that I have holidays, there is finally time for LEGO again! So I decided to build someting for the online RPG "Lands of Classic Castle". "Journal II Less than two months have passed since we had to leave our home behind and fled to the barren wilderness of Garheim. The last provisions are on the decline, the cattle is sick and wasting away and to make matters even worse, winter is just around the corner. A long and dark winter, as we only know it in the northern regions of Garheim. The winter, it is told for generations, is the time in which the evil roams the land. At night, in the dark, so rumors whisper, the cry of accursed and outcast can be heard. Thieves , murderers and other scum that is resistant against the cold due to the long time in the wilderness, became one with the winter. To be prepared against all this evil, archers patrol on the old wall at night, to sound the alarm when needed. For those of us who went north , this will be the hardest winter of our lives so far. Solely the thought of returning home some day keeps us alive out there." -> previous Journal I know the title says "Mountain Camp", and yes there are no rocks...but I wanted to improve my wall-building-skills, so let's prentend that this scene takes place in a valley. Hope you like it, comments and constructive criticism are welcome!

I am very lucky to be partaking in part of a collaboration at STEAM 2013 along with 7 other fantastic British builders. We are building a medieval village, circa early 14th century. James has already posted his castle. My section is an abbey, loosely based on Tintern Abbey in Wales. Below is a selection of photos (I will add more after the show): Ashes to Ashes by Cuahchic, on Flickr Nicholas fitz Theodoric by Cuahchic, on Flickr Monks Procession by Cuahchic, on Flickr ********************************* I would encourage anyone based in the UK to make it along to Swindon this year to see the whole display (>14 metres squared).

My first entry to the Classic set Re-imagined Category of the CCCX. __________________ So, I was searching around for a good set to remake, and I came across "Knight's Challenge 6060" I knew I had found it. Though I have never got my hands on a copy, I consider this set a Classic among Classics. :) Reference photo via bricklink.com
