Pictorial Review: 8462 Tow Truck
Lost_In_Noise replied to Lost_In_Noise's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thanks for the comments. Unfortunately, I had to let this one go, to make room for the 42009:( A full day of building awaits! -

Shipped! Woho! Also, I got the Big mobile crane from the local shop today. It's a great time to be an AFOL. -

I did exactly the same with my boxes. I isn't worth anything to me, but if someone would be willing to pay for the shipping(also from expensive Norway) why not give it to them for free? Make some poor chap happy is my top priority, When I started listing my boxes, I put them all up for 1$ each, and all got sold in two days! -
Madoca's middle scale AWD SUV.....it's perfect!
Lost_In_Noise replied to rm8's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Very nice work, you've managed to keep the lines of a real suv(I think it looks like a range rover evoque), in a small scale, along with added PF. It looks like it handles really well also. Thanks for sharing!- 189 replies

What are the best B models?

Yeah, +1 for the 8053's uniqueness. -
Exclusive CO-Creation Model 41999
Lost_In_Noise replied to Bonaparte's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
This model is special because Lego has listened to the complaints regarding the color of the original set, and this is sort of a replacement. I will never buy the 9398, but this one I want badly. -

42000 Grand Prix Racer parts question
Lost_In_Noise replied to pigpen's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
You can put a CV joint in the front axle, and transfer drive to it. Depending on your setup, You'd have to remove some parts from the original design. You'd have to modify the suspension a bit, but it's quite possible. -
Lada VFTS Rally Car by dokludi
Lost_In_Noise replied to dokludi's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Really great work. Never saw a rollcage in a Lego MOC before. The only adjustment I would make is to change the lights(trans bricks] with trans tiles for improved looks. But, that's just my $0.02. -

Very nice, and the chassis looks so simple. It must weigh very little. I like the couch also:D -
Buying big set - need an advice!
Lost_In_Noise replied to peter_m's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
The steering....:( I don't know why, but the unimog is one of my least played with sets. Buy the big crane, it has more pieces, and surely would work better than the old 8421. -

You'll probably get new LA's as well if you're lucky. -
8288 Crawler Crane
Lost_In_Noise replied to DarkShadow73's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
You could always part it out, as none of the parts are very special/unique. I bought a copy which had some missing pieces for 120$. It's pretty big, heightwise about the same as 8053's alternate harbour crane. -
The Unofficial Hydraulic Cylinder
Lost_In_Noise replied to Boxerlego's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
It is quite possible. But it wouldn't be leak-free, and cause one big mess. Since fluids have more density, it should leak less than an air-filled system though. -
Old Technic sets losing value?
Lost_In_Noise replied to mobi's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Bricklink is your friend. On average, about 0.50 Euros a copy. -

Old Technic sets losing value?
Lost_In_Noise replied to mobi's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Buy some replacements from an 8110. They have the same size, and works flawlessly. I think the original springs were underdimensioned. -
I'm new here.....first MOC, a tank...
Lost_In_Noise replied to SteveNesta's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thanks for the read! A lot of great pictures here, showing various obstacles and their solutions. I really like the suspension, and the gun! Looking forward to see more excellent work from your end:)- 32 replies
