  1. That would certainly be strange...
  2. This is a mashup MOD of sets 70420 - Graveyard Mystery, 76428 - Hagrid's Hut An Unexpected Visit, and 75965 - The Rise of Voldemort. This mashup has been combined into one cohesive cemetery with accompanying groundskeepers hut. The hut is only connected to the graveyard by four studs, and as such is removable from the rest of the MOC for transport. The resulting two sections are solid enough to be be carried in one hand each... though not for long distances! (I'm not brave enough for that!) The back of the model. The statue holding the scythe was taken from 79104 - Dol Guldur Battle - to replace the unprinted one from the Voldemort set. The other statue is a Weeping Angel from set 21304 - Doctor Who. (Don't blink!) I wonder what this key opens? and why was this poor soul buried with it? I... wait a second. Did that statue MOVE? Inside the hut I added an old TV inspired by the one from 43217 - UP house and removed Hagrid's huge chair. I also modified the roof connection points by removing the studded 1x3 jumpers, as this allows the hut roof to just sit up top unconnected and be more easily detachable. Update 10/12/24: This hearse is styled after the 1920s-vintage truck in set 10222 - Winter Village Post Office. I recolored it, extended the bed, and added opening doors to the rear. The model seats a driver in the front, and a coffin can be placed in the back. The hearse should be built in real bricks by the end of the month. ....and that's all I got. Comments, suggestions, and questions welcome!
  3. Thank you @Space Coyote! I'm glad I inspired you, and thanks for the kind words regarding this all, but especially the furniture as that's where I struggle the most. (I also sadly still need to build the base in real bricks, hopefully that will happen someday!)
  4. @NovaBricks is obviously talking about either WW84 or Shazam.
  5. "Thinking about the model is also off the table."
  6. You have to upload somewhere else (Flickr is one example, there are others) and then link it into your post. EB doesn't host photos.
  7. Nice work! I do wonder if it will be able to go around curves, since the pistons hang so low as to block the travel of the pilot bogie. Keep up the good work!
  8. What happened to Timon? You can't have one without the other!
  9. Actually, believe it or not, there is a set 666. It was released only in mainland Europe in 1964 and is an HO scale Mercedes 190SL, and was available in several random colors.
  10. Who says they aren't? I can almost imagine this as an old B/W episode of a sci-fi anthology TV series where it cuts from real actors portraying the five families' dons who have just found out who REALLY pulls the strings (giant cube-guy) to minifigures and a brickheadz being played with by some child / teen, with a old Gangster film playing in the background. "This of course, is only possible in one place - the Twilight Zone."
  11. Minifigures are gonna be 50 in 2028?!? I remember when they turned 30 as it was a big deal back in 2008. (I was only four when they were 20 so I don't remember that one) ...Man, I'm getting old.
  12. I guess the discovery of the wreck in March 2022 spurred the creation of this set, since it takes 1 & a 1/2 - 2 years to make a set like this. Also, for those wanting to know more about it's voyage, here is the ships Wikipedia page.
  13. Ah yes, The Book Worm. The guy who, in his debut episode of Batman '66, had Commissioner Gordon shot by a sniper and pushed off a newly-opened bridge to his death in front of millions of Gotham TV viewers. Or did he? (I'm surprised the network censors of the 1960's let that happen, even if it was explained away in the next ten minutes as a fake shooting and a Gordon lookalike who just dived into the water) This is only topped by the time the Joker rigged a slot machine to two electric chairs to broil Batman and Robin alive.... only for when it reached jackpot needed to turn the Dynamic Duo into the Gruesome Twosome, Gotham City lost power in a blackout. Yes, that happened.
  14. It's a digital-only MOC. So It's quite impossible to really build it. Parts don't exist at all in some cases... you'd have to 3D print and / or paint them. Also, the laws of physics (gravity, for example) don't exist in digital programs. It may be structurally unsound, or have bricks that don't fit together in real life like they do digitally.
  15. It's a digital MOC, probably no instructions exist. We just need a giant Godzilla now to accidentally take Sauron out with an atomic-breath blast....
  16. Probably the 2x6 part in your case @Alexandrina was an accidental inclusion that went unnoticed... it wouldn't be the first time this has happened in sets over the years!
  17. First post updated as of now! Of the 1,065 parts on this building, I've found 333 pieces, leaving 732 parts still to go. These totals do not include furniture or the modular base - these items have finished the parts-finding phase and have been ordered from Bricklink as of the 7th.
  18. Thank you @Feuer Zug! Originally I had vents on the roof in the LDD file, but when I put the roof on it in real life it was too weak to attach the vents to, so I left them off. As for the different shades, I used old brown and new brown together to achieve that worn look.
  19. Thanks @Feuer Zug, and I think you're right... I'll keep this one dark red.
  20. Real world refueling depot MOC added to the first post 5/8/24! I took the wood hutch from set 76428 (Hagrid's Hut - An Unexpected Visit) with the water tower design my dad made in he 1990's and a generic coal bin to make this refueling depot for my wild west steam locos. I also added a bathing mini-figure to the top of the tower (Petticoat Junction-style) and removed the sand green from the wood hutch roof. Another view from the opposite angle. Thoughts?
  21. I just designed this detachable modular base for my Victorian townhouse MOD. It uses an enlarged / taller version of 2002 set 10069 - Christmas Tree for decoration, as the original tree from the polybag looked puny next to the house. Also of note, I ordered the house's furniture and the modular base's remaining parts. The house itself will also be ordered in the next few weeks.
