Thanks @The Reader! I'm still torn if I'm keeping it dark red or changing to black and use the part from this upcoming set for the hood: Thoughts?

I finally took pictures of this MOD of Overwatch set 75972 I've been working on basically since the set released in 2019. It's been turned into a 6-studs wide 1950's-style tow truck, and seats one figure at the wheel. The front of the truck. The rear of the truck. The cab roof is removable to seat the driver behind the wheel. NOTE: The vehicle might get changed to black later on because a printed grille (the same part type I'm already using here) in CITY 4+ set 60435 is coming out, and I always wanted the grille on my tow truck to be more pronounced. Only time will tell if this truck gets color swapped or not... Thoughts?

It appears to be a combo pack containing sets 1557 and 1558. Check the latter two links for parts inventory for those two sets.

I don't remember Batman (or Phil Spector, for that matter) being in the Yellow Submarine film! Deleted scene perhaps? But seriously: @legoturtle what you propose would never happen. I believe Universal owns the Ghostbusters franchise, whereas Batman is DC / Warnes Bros., and TMNT was bought by Nickelodeon. Having said that, they have been backdoor cameos of TMNT in Teen Titans GO! but we don't talk about that show because it's basically making fun of EVERYTHING everybody in this thread holds dear, I.E. DC. We have a higher chance of seeing LEGO sets based off the unmodified version of the Joker's death scene from 'The Return of the Joker' film from the Batman Beyond franchise than ever seeing that proposed film grace our screens.

@brickbride That Friends B&B is a Victorian-era house from the mid-to-late 19th century, and is probably named like it is as because kids today most likely don't know what Victorian means. Thus, I don't think it will work for pirates, to be honest.

I personally think the dark tan robes look morel like lounge wear / night clothes, but maybe that's just me. To each their own!

@The Reader You and I are on the same train of thought, as I thought the same thing about that Ninjago fig! His name is Bleckt, according to the set description.... I also think I remember him from the Explorer's Club scenes from previous seasons of the show, which, if true, certainly makes him an Adventurer. (if in name only!) I would personally rather use the outfit the station master from the Orient Express is wearing, and put Bleckts head and hair on that to make him more versatile. (and it keeps the pocket watch too!)

This model was built from a single picture of 2024 Friends set 42638 - Castle Bed and Breakfast. I made the model in my own style, while attempting to keep the proportions of the set. I gave it a fold open back, and had to redesign the turret-area as I had no clue how they assembled it in the set. The official roof was likewise unfamiliar territory at the time, so I originally improvised a new one using bricks and slopes. (which was a total pain) Since the set's instructions came out, I replaced the roof with the one from the set. The early-1930's Duesenberg SJ seen out front of the house is based off the car seen in Indiana Jones set 7682 - Shanghai Chase - from the 2009 Temple of Doom line. I updated the car's look with parts not available 15 years ago, and added a hardtop roof among other things. The rear isn't too exciting: I added a back door, and added a chimney by the turret up front. The building is also removable from the modular base so it can open up. The ground floor features the living and dining rooms. The ground floor near the stairs features a telephone and painting. The second floor features a writing desk along with a table and lamp. Inside the upper part of the rear half featuring the stairwell. (There isn't much to say about this bit.) The third floor features the bedroom and bathroom. The front of the vehicle alongside the owner of both the house and car. The rear of the car. The car seats two figures inside the cabin. Comments, questions, and complaints welcome!

I built this for everyone who likes the modern house, but doesn't want to buy it because it has no back. Well, here you go: The building is currently unfurnished, and the set will require modifications to allow the custom half to swing open / lock shut. All needed parts for this MOD and set modifications are included in the LDD file on this Bricksafe page as of late yesterday. Just thought you guys wanting a back for it would want to know, and apologies if this post is considered bad form. This was not my intent, I was just trying to help!

LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Murdoch17 replied to Lyichir's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
three words: Light. Bluish. Gray. (This will drive everyone who made their own absolutely crazy and bring down aftermarket prices on the parts!) -
I am SO making a back for that B&B, and removing the modern bits to convert it into the typical Victorian / Edwardian home it seems to be inspired by. I was originally gonna get the Creator modern house set (already designed a back for that one from the pictures!) but now I'm going for the Friends set as it fits better in my early-to-mid 20th century style layout.

@SpacePolice89 The game was shut down in early 2012 by LEGO, but there is a recreation out there using files and assets from the game taken (I think) from an old discarded server. Now that it's gone open source, you have to download the server and run that while playing the game as well, but you will be the only player on that server. My brother is trying to get a server up and running for the three of us in my family that played it way back when. It may require some coding knowledge, as there as glitches and bugs to fix before you can play. I hope this answers your questions.

Lego Universe: Moonbase (a Classic Space world) made by the World Builder League, which has quests where you get the parts to assemble a 918 into a rocket called the 'Moonbase rocket'. It also has Grabbles, aliens inspired by Facehuggers from Aliens, but they also sort of resemble Fleebnorks (space fan-made alien creations from the early 2000's), but in tan instead of transparent colors. (links go to the LEGO Universe wiki)

I'd love to see somebody combine them together to make longer platforms for 60335.

It's certainly odd. The rest of the OE figs (including the conductor with his new torso) are on there, but no Pippin.... it's really strange!
