"You are now entering the Blacktron sector! This is the absolute limit of the Classic Space quadrant! You have been warned!" ...sorry about that. Had to get the legal stuff out of the way first! Anyway: Blacktron long-range fighter "Buzzard" Above is the two copies of the Blacktron XL-15, which are now dubbed the "Buzzard" type starfighter. So back in January of 2023, I decided to convert the XL-15 spaceship from the film "Lightyear" into original Blacktron colors. The blue became yellow, and white was turned to black, with all the trans-green removed. I added laser blasters under the wings where some technic pins are and put a different control tile in the cockpit. I was thinking about building a second ship, but then again, getting some of the parts from Bricklink was a total pain due to extremely low quantities in the needed color. (I'm talking about you, 3 x 3 wedge plate in yellow!) Thankfully, I bought one too many of both kinds of the yellow 12 x 3 wedge plates, as they are very rare as well with only one store selling four of each kind in the USA, which made making the second one easier later on. Blacktron command vessel "Executor" In addition to the two Buzzards, I wanted a Blacktron capitol ship. I had no ideas of my own ship, so I spent most of the afternoon of 10/5/23 taking Benny's beloved spaceship from The Lego Movie and corrupting it into a twisted, evil version. I revamped the nose, removed the expanding wing assembly and snub fighters. Of course I then recolored it almost exclusively in black and yellow. (some gray was unavoidable!) I armed it with a turret on the top rear where the sensor array once was, and put the commanders office below where the wing mechanism used to be. To keep with the one-word naming scheme of the original Blacktron, I borrowed the name of Darth Vader's Super Star Destroyer, decreeing this ship the Blacktron Executor. I struggled to think of an engine flame color that fit OG Blacktron, but eventually trans-light blue was selected. Since the wings don't extend anymore, I added a third section for figures with a turret on top in their place. The rear-most section lifts away, but the rest of the roof sections are supposed to fold open. The ship seats seven troops and 1 commander. Blacktron cargo transporter "Vendetta" The Blacktron Vendetta is finally finished! I combined the Renegade with a new cockpit modified from the Blacktron Cruiser GWP, with added parts from a free Rebrickable MOC's instructions for a Cruiser / Renegade adapter . The cargo pod is reverse engineered and modified from one posted in a Brickset article. You can view the Rebrickable MOC by user Brickstertwo here while the Brickset article about modifying 10355 is here. The rear of the vessel. I changed the engines flames from trans-red to trans-light blue to match the rest of my fleet. Same thing with the yellow technic wheels becoming light bluish gray. The cockpit seats one mini-figure, and has two laser cannons just outside the canopy. The removable cargo pod is inspired by one in a Brickset article from late December of last year. It works beautifully with the ship's drop mechanism. The top lifts open on a hinge so you can put cargo inside. Blacktron two-man snub fighter "Avalanche" These ships are Blacktron 1 versions of a classic Star Wars speeder design is mostly taken from set 75204 - Sandspeeder, with portions taken from other snow-based versions of the type as well. All this is wrapped up in a new black and yellow paint job with a trans-yellow windscreen from 75414 - The Force Burner Snowspeeder. I call this ship type the Avalanche class snub fighter, and they will be going with my heavily modified Renegade set and the rest of my Blacktron 1 MOD's. Rear view of the two ships. This type of short-range fighter is usually assigned in massive quantities to defend critical planets with Blacktron bases on them, whereas the much more capable and deadly Buzzard type is usually for capitol ship escort duty, and can take on much bigger vessels with only a dozen or so fighters. The inside seats two figures. Blacktron armored ground transporter "Marauder" The 2021 Star Wars set 75311 (Imperial Armored Marauder) has been transformed into a Blacktron 1 version, complete with revised guns instead of those annoying flick-fire things. I couldn't use space seats inside this one, but there are plenty (four) 2x2 modified tiles with just enough room for air-tanks in the model... at least I hope that will be the case! The rear of the hover-vessel with the laser turrets rotated. There are eight total opening hatches on the all four sides and top to place figures / store cargo. One figure sits in the rotating rear turret, two troopers sit in the main body of the vehicle, while the last fig sits in the drivers seat. Blacktron giant robot "Destructor" For this model, I used parts and ideas from the Eternals line's "In Arishem's Shadow" set 76155 (body / head / upper legs / upper arms) along with claw from the old Agents 2.0' "Robot Attack" set 8970. The lower legs and laser arm are (modified) holdovers from the "Build Better Bricks" Iron Giant instructions. (I need to fix the laser arm's elbow joint but I keep forgetting!) Blacktron "Shadow Runner" space car Recently, while I was on my Blacktron kick, I decided I needed a vehicle for the commander. So, after a few false starts with other models, I dusted off this old TRON Legacy Light Runner model and went to town modifying it. The model originally was made five years ago (was 2018 really that long ago?!?), and is based off the two-seater TRON set 21314 MOD that was made by BrickBrosUK and posted on Brickset here. The name Shadow Runner is a play on the Light-based vehicles from TRON. Blacktron minifigs 1x commander 4x officers 19x troopers 1x robot (E.D.G.A.R.) (Thanks to my brother for giving me ~10 of his unwanted Blacktron torsos from the old GWP that were purchased from Pick-A-Brick back in 2023.) Blacktron robot "E.D.G.A.R." This model is recolored and modified from the E.R.I.C. robot from set 76831 - Zurg Battle - from the Pixar film Lightyear. I call this one E.D.G.A.R. which stands for: Electronic Data Gathering / Assimilating Robot Blacktron space base "Outpost 13" This sandwich-looking model was built from an 2002 Alpha Team set 4795 (Ogel Underwater base and AT sub) but heavily modified to fit into the Blacktron I theme. I had to fill in the spots where the flexible plastic "window' pieces were, replace the skull logo with the upside-down Tri-Force logo of Blacktron I, find ways to make the model almost totally "air tight", and add on a radar dish instead of a harpoon gun. I also made the building a lot deeper - about eight studs. The rear of the model. I took out the fancy spinning wall of the original set and replaced it with a bank of windows. The radar installation and it's tower are my own design. As on the original set, the logo folds down, where it can be used as a ramp. Also as on the original set, the MOD folds open to access the inside details. Special shout out to Jon Mo who designed the brick built Blacktron logo I used on my model (thanks also goes to EliteGuard01 for finding that logo design and recommending it to me). The inside was very hard to figure out, as most space furniture is for me. I decided on six computer stations and a desk for the commander. Another source of trouble was to make the building open cleanly and close without holes. The original set struggled with this, and it failed miserably - however I feel I managed to fix that issue. Inside of the rear with the commander's desk front and center. Blacktron hover tank "Havok" I modified 25 year old Star Wars set 7155 (Trade Federation AAT) into Blacktron I colors. Before that, the original set was very much a mess of too many colors, but now these two look elegant and refined in my opinion. Here is the rear of one of the tanks with turret rotated. Welcome to the M:Tron Mining Base! I have always been a Classic Space fan, and because I also like gemstones, M:Trons are a blend of both space and crystals. I really enjoy the micro-scale LEGO building, especially because the detail is more packed into small areas, making designs smoother. This MOC contains 4,278 pieces. I always imagined that M:Trons would mine Brickonium (the crystal) out of big mountains. The satellite towers that I included are used to help the freighters leave the atmosphere safely. I hope you enjoy my build! 😄 Up first is the main image. You get a good look at what's going on. This is the top view. Cool angle, right? This is a shot from the side. Easier to see the action. The Deep Space Explorer is my latest submission to the Bricklink Designer Program Series 10. The design, colors, and parts used are based on Classic Space sets, mostly up to 1987. This ship is comprised of 21 separate components that assemble into 1 main ship or can be assembled into multiple ships and land bases, all using the original connection style from Classic Space of Modified Bricks with Technic pins and Technic Bricks. Hi all! I've finally finished a MOC that I've work on, on and off, for years. It's a redux of the Blacktron Renegade. Here's the original: I wanted to keep the overall design pretty much the same. How did I do? I named it Betrayer because a Renegade is essentially a traitor or deserter. I thought Betrayer sounded supremely evil while being synonymous with the original name. One thing that excited me a lot was using the new yellow triangle tiles to make a brick-built Blacktron logo. And I wanted to keep the original gimmick where the command ship could detach from the front, as well as the two side ships. The command ship has hidden guns! One thing that always bugged me about the original was that after you removed the command ship, you were left with the butt-end of a space ship without anything to control it. I guess you had to pretend it was computer or AI controlled at that point. Like a robot. That gave me an idea. Why not make it transform into an actual robot? I hope you like it!

Based on the Lego Road Show large rocket display, this 4 level base has 4 vehicle garages on the lower level, 4 Spacehip hangars on the top level, and a 2 story high airlock rooms on the mid section. The mid section is divided on 8 rooms on 2 levels which can be used as barracs, sickbays, labs, communication centers. Here we have Lego's Deep Freeze Defender from 1993's Ice Planet 2002, a sub-theme of the long-lasting Space theme. While not the most expensive set in the Ice Planet line, the Deep Freeze Defender has the highest part count at 420 pieces. It retailed for $45 when first introduced. It's impossible not to fall in love with the Ice Planet color scheme. White, blue, black, and trans-orange all work deliciously well together. This mighty vessel is instantly identifiable as a craft made to explore dangerously cold environments. I especially love the array of tall, trans-orange "window" elements at the rear of the ship. This frontal shot prominently displays the distinctive tandem cockpit set-up. The Deep Freeze Defender was not the first or last set to utilize this design feature, but in my opinion it remains the most iconic of those that do. The large print of the Ice Planet emblem in the center of the craft is stunning. The printed arrow tiles hint at the first of many gimmicks of this set. Both cockpit sections are connected to the main hull via a 2x2 brick with a technic-style pin. With a bit of force, each module can easily be detached from the rest of the ship. Even by themselves, the "command craft" are delightful little builds. Identical to each other, each craft features a pair of skis, a chainsaw, and a black blaster/flashlight/whatever element for the pilot to use. Of note, the white skis are elevated just slightly above the ground. The bottom of the craft is raised by four smooth inverted dish pieces, allowing it to glide along a flat surface with ease. Here the connector piece that allows the command craft to attach and detach from the bulk of the ship is clearly visible. Other elements on the main hull sandwich around the rearmost bricks of the craft, ensuring that the command craft remain aligned with the rest of the ship at all times. With the canopy open, the cockpit interior is visible. The printed 2x2 slope piece is lovely, and the pilot fits snugly and securely inside. A look at what the set looks like with a single command craft docked to the main hull. The satellite which was once in the center has been moved off to the right of the ship. A look at the set with both command craft removed. Perhaps this could be operated by the pilot of the scout craft in the rear of the ship, who we'll see more of soon. Once more, the printed arrows hint at another of the set's gimmicks. This time the main hull itself will be splitting apart into two smaller craft. To undock these two halves, simply lift two arrow-printed hinges and pull the two sections of the ship apart. Aside from the stud connections of the two hinges, the halves are joined by two blocks with technic pins, similar to the command craft. The rear section of the vessel begins at the large trans-orange "corner" pieces. The two halves of the main hull separated. Each has a unique gimmick which will soon be revealed. With both sections of the main hull separated, the two command craft can dock with the individual components, forming two unique, complimentary craft from a single large vessel. A truly wonderful gimmick and easily my favorite part of this set. In my opinion each configuration of this set looks equally impressive. While one could interpret the rocket housed within the forward hull section as a weapon, it's really intended as a launch platform for a data-gathering satellite. The rocket is loosely, yet securely mounted on a short technic axle. Lifting the bay hatch pulls the rocket with it, allowing the rocket to stand upright for blast-off. The rocket is ready for blast-off, and the satellite has been mounted and secured. In cases where the rocket can't take off directly from the ship however, the magnet hints at an alternate launch method. Visible through the slots in the rear windows is a hard-working Ice Planet astronaut. While the two pilots in front are busy maneuvering and navigating the ship, perhaps this intrepid fellow is pouring over research data. Of course, he has other duties to perform as well, when needed... Another iconic facet of this set is the launch bay, comprised of alternating white and trans-orange garage door elements. Here, the bay is securely locked. The track for the bay door is unlocked by flipping open the two hatches, made easy by the large black thruster elements. Sliding the bay door open reveals the interior, and the Ice Planet astronaut within. But with the bay door fully retracted... ...The hidden scout craft is ready to take off! Sliding the bay door back all the way presses against an arm that angles the tiny ship into launch position and locks it into place. The craft easily slides off the arm to take flight. A look at the bay with the scout craft removed. The launch arm is clearly visible. When the scout craft returns, the arm's protrusion simply slots into an empty space on the rear of the tiny ship. Sliding the bay door closed relieves pressure on the arm and lowers the scout flat inside the bay itself. A look at the scout craft by itself. A very simple build. Like the larger command craft, it features a pair of skis for its pilot, but no other accessories. As for the magnet on the left side... ...This allows the scout craft to fly off with the rocket! Perhaps the pilot has found a more suitable place to launch the satellite into orbit. The rocket has launched, and its payload has been inserted into the icy planet's orbit. When deployed, the arms of the satellite unfold as shown. Assembled here are the three minifigures included with the Deep Freeze Defender. Two can pilot the ship, while the remaining member can pilot the scout craft. The figure in the center has a unique torso print, denoting his status as leader. With their trans-orange visors flipped up, the identities of each minifigure are properly revealed! Commander Cold (known as Commander Bear in the U.K. and Japan) stands proudly in the center, flanked by unnamed male and female astronauts. Ice Planet 2002 was one of the first Space themes to include specially printed minifigure faces (narrowly beaten by Space Police II). Additionally, the female of this set is the first female minifigure in the entire Space line. Equipped with their accessories, the Ice Planet astronauts are ready for anything! Commander Cold sports a combined tool made from his black "blaster" element and chainsaw, while the female astronaut wields them separately. The male astronaut treks on only with a pair of skis. The broad, flat surfaces of the skis allow for some (carefully set) walking poses unaided by plates or other pieces. In conclusion, the Deep Freeze Defender is an absolutely phenomenal set. It's durable, stylish, fun, and loaded with interesting and well-implemented gimmicks. It is by far the best of the Ice Planet 2002 sets, and one of the best large starship builds in all of Lego history. Very highly recommended for all Lego Space fans.

Hi everyone, I created an own version of the 6494 Magic Mountain Time Lab. It is the 20 years anniversary of the Time Cruisers theme. The basement is a laboratory with a lot of equipment and computers. In the basement is a portal gone haywire and a lot of people from the past and present has come into the world of Tim and Dr. Cyber. In the basement are several confrontations among several parties and Majisto the wizard has blown a hole in the wall and has hit a pipe. Can everyone get out before the water reaches the electronics? On the ground floor is a study room, where Johnny Thunder sees the confrontation between the Forestmen of the Dark Forest and the Imperial Armada. In the hallway, Dr. Cyber escapes from a confrontation between Pirates and the Blacktron Future Generation. In the Kitchen, the Forestmen are fighting with pirates. Outside, the police has started a raid and one of the Blacktron is trying to keep them away from the house. The Superhero is rescuing the police from the fire. On the first floor is a confrontation among the Imperial Guard, Unitron, Pirates and Spyrius. There is a bathroom, bedroom and another study room. Greetings space fans! To celebrate the successful arrival of the Juno spacecraft into polar orbit around Jupiter I have created some free instructions for a microscale model made from 85 elements. Headcanon says, this is a Distant Sky Survey team. These guys are the third line of space exploration, dispatched wherever long-range scanners and robot probes discover something that needs human eyes on the scene. The ship is unarmed, I think of those pokey bits in front as parts of the hyperdrive system. All the greebling is supposed to be sensors and, hopefully, enough stealth gear to keep the ship out of trouble. There's an opening ramp, and the roof's designed to come off. Interior is a mess of equipment and stale coffee cups. Behind the scanner operator's station, there's just enough cargo space for a little rack holding two carbines and a spare lifesupport pack, and a box for, apparently, the severed head of some alien. I've been meaning to build these guys a proper ship for a while, and finally got around to it..thanks for looking!

This is a minivan/sedan delivery thing in the general spacecar theme of Space Police III. Indisputably best Space Police! Hello, this Space Tank is a "small class" unit inspired by WWI English tank Mark I. Colors and style are clearly based on LEGO Classic Space series. Named "Blue Bull" due to the stocky shape, it's equipped with a huge long-range gun and with a little gun machine right below the rotating turret. I particularly like the loader's hatch and the details featured both on the turret and the side. The crew is composed by 3 crewmen: the commander, the driver and the gunner. Here the Tank is at the maintenance hangar where the staff is taking care of it after a moon mission. Below the Space Tank in plain sight Even if Classic Space is not my comfort zone of building, and some friends of mine were surprised seeing this new build, I like this theme since I was a little boy. Moreover having in stock a lot of CS pieces pushed me to build the tank and the space hangar. It has been really funny building this MOC and for sure won't be alone for a long time. Get ready to blast off into the unknown vastness of outer space! This model was inspired by set 3831, (Rocket Ride, from the 2008 Spongebob line) albeit with a pointier nose cone, and gray color scheme. The model now has a enlarged engine section with longer tail fins and four more engines, along with a crew of two humans and a robot helper. One of the human astronauts can even be seated in the fold-open cockpit. (The below story line is 100% fiction.) This ship is the forerunner for all of the other Lego space ships: in 1969, this crucial piece of history launched from LegoLand Space Port for a mission to the moon. This was very soon after the failed 1965 launch of 801-series Space Rocket, which killed the the brave crew of Kat Aclysm: female rocket science genius and designer of the experimental ship, and Abraham "Abe" Normal, the best test pilot in the academy. Their deaths at the Samsonite launch pad were not in vain though, as the newly founded LegoLand Aero-Space Authority (renamed Classic Space Command in 1978) rebuilt their reputation as the premier brick-built space agency by launching the "Innovator", also known as LL002 which in early August 1969 made history as the first mini figure - built object on the moon! This rocket and it's crew (Bill Fold, Penny Wise, and S1L-V3R the robot) made history with their two days on the moon's surface, providing the foundations for the Classic Space Moon-base series of missions. The model without the figures The model now has a enlarged engine section with longer tail fins and four more engines. The rocket features an opening section to get at the interior which now only consists of the cockpit. The model was too weak in real life when the whole thing opened up, so I was forced to solidify every section to keep it from falling apart. The trans-clear windscreen part should have this print. The crew of this fateful mission was commander Bill Fold and scientist Penny Wise, along with their robot helper S1L-V3R. (nicknamed Silver) The robot is inspired by the robot customer in the 2007 set number 4981 (another Spongebob set called The Chum Bucket), while the astronauts were inspired by the Sandy Cheeks mini-figure in set 3831. The mini-figures should feature this torso print. MISSION NOTES: Here is the inspirational set 3831, courtesy of Brickset... ...and here is the original real life version of the rocket. I just started buying Lego sets again after a long dark age, so Galaxy Squad was a couple of years before I started paying attention to Lego. I have some questions about it: How successful was Galaxy Squad at the time it came out? It seems well-regarded by AFOLs now, but did it sell well? Was it planned as a single-year release, or did it not perform well enough in the market to be continued as a line? In your opinion, what does the performance of Galaxy Squad say about the viability of non-licenced space themes in the future?

Hi ! I am not only an AFOL, I am also a big fan of Valerian and Laureline. I have all their comics. They were sources of inspiration for the Star Wars saga and the 5th element. In this comic, I love the spatiotemporal vessel, the XB982, also called Tempus Fugit in the animated series. So I could not resist trying to replicate this ship at the LEGO Minifig scale. In comics, it undergoes multiple changes over the albums, and this achievement is therefore a pure interpretation on my part. At the landing, the XB982 deploys 4 feet and Valerian and Laureline down through the hatch in the cabin. The interior of the vessel is accessed by opening the upper parts : The interior is made up of 6 modules, connected by Y-shaped corridors : - the cockpit at the front - the space-time engine in the rear and sides: - a dining room - a medical center - a bedroom - a room with a shower Hope you enjoy it!
