1. Hi everybody, I present you the Wild Horse, a very huge creation of myself that many people would like to assemble, 1100 bricks and 75 cm long... Beside the Death Star, it's so... I don't know? WILD! https://ideas.lego.com/projects/bfba06f9-df7e-464f-93e7-226622d6e63e
2. An average walk in a dark, eerie park turns out to be much more than just clippity-clomping hooves down a path... 3. This challenge entry will have a lot of photos and text, so you are forewarned. There is a livery stable in Arlinsport on North Street. It was run by Henry the livery master, and his son Harry. Its ownership was held by the WETEC, though it was being transferred to Henry at a rate of 10% ownership per year that he oversaw the business. Today the trot of horse hooves on cobblestone stopped in front of the livery. It brought Henry to the door. Micah was informed by Henry that Elizabeth had arrived. He came out to meet her. Henry: "Harry get back to sweeping and quit trying to eavesdrop on the young lovers." Harry: "Father, the sawdust can wait..." But he was cut off by a stern look from his father. Micah: "It is great to see you, Elizabeth. You are as lovely as a filly in the spring." Elizabeth: "Thank you, Micah. You always do say the strangest and sweetest things. I have come to expect to hear some magnificent horse reference from you." Micah: "I could always stop if you wish me too." Elizabeth: "Not at all. Please carry on." Micah: "I definitely shall. What brings you down to the livery today?" Elizabeth: "I came to invite you to supper. We have many things to discuss in regard to our wedding in two months, and mother suggested if you came over we could spend the evening finalizing plans." Micah: "That sounds like a good idea. Let us go for a short walk down to the bakery." Right as they reached the edge of the livery, Micah slowed up. His left hand reached for his sword, starting it from its scabbard. Elizabeth: "What is wrong, Micah?" Micah: "I smell a rat." Stranger in the alley: "Greetings, sir. and fair woman. You wouldn't happen to be the one they call Silent Wolf and his fancy fiancee?" Stranger: "Let me introduce myself. I am Philippe the Intelligent." As he bowed deeply. "I hail from the fun town of Pontelli in the wealthy empire of Eslandola. I wish to give you something." Micah had drawn his saber, in uncertainty over this man's contradictions and uncertain motives. For though he was dressed as a gentleman, he spoke like a man who was not used to polite speech. Philippe as he advanced toward them: "I have a business proposition for you. It involves a great treasure that I know of that is sailing soon. It can be yours for a price." Micah: "Elizabeth, would you please go back to the carriage. I would like to speak to Philippe alone. I shall be there shortly." Philippe: "I know of a treasure fleet that is sailing under silence from the new islands back to the Old World. For a fee of 200 doubloons and a share of the end of the profits, I can tell you all I know including where the fleet will be travelling. All you have to do is intercept it and take the treasure for yourself. Imagine us being the richest friends in all of world." Micah always the analytical, skeptical, and thoughtful person, stayed silent. Philippe: "I can assure you my information is valid. I heard it directly from Major Woward Holowitz in Pontelli." Micah: "So it is an Eslandolian treasure?" Philippe gleefully: "Yes, yes it is." Micah: "I see. Well, let me send my fiancee off, then I will get you your payment inside." Micah: "Elizabeth, please tell your mother that I will be there at supper. I am sorry we cannot spend more time, but I have to take care of this business right now." Elizabeth: "I do not trust him." Micah: "Nor do I..." As soon as Elizabeth left, Micah and Philippe entered the stable. A saber swept from Micah's scabbard and planted itself against Philippe's throat. Micah: "Who are you really and what traitorous deeds have you committed? If you mean to do me harm by implicating me among the cutthroats that would start a war for money, I shall kill you where you stand." Philippe with a plaster smile: "I don't know what you are speaking about." Micah: "I know of Major Holowitz. As an officer in the Eslandolean army, he would not betray such secret information to someone who would sell it for profit. Even more if you were a man of honor, you would not stoop to such levels of selling out your own nation. No matter how well you dress I can tell you are not a gentleman." Philippe: "I will not tell you anything. How dare you challenge me, a wealthy man? Besides what does it matter to you. There are many others who paid the prices I set for such information and they will be very upset if I am injured in any way." Micah: "You are indeed not a man of honor. Henry and Harry, tie this man up in one of the empty stalls. We will find out what he knows. Any man who would sell out his own nation has evil plans afoot." Turning to Philippe, "You may have expected to make easy money today. However, there is one thing I cannot stand above all and that is a man of dishonor. No matter your station in life, you should carry yourself with integrity, honesty, and honor. You, sir, with your traitorous schemes have done everything that I would deplore.Even more I am a business man who trades throughout the world. Did you think I would cross Eslandola and risk putting my trade with them at risk? " After a while of questioning, Micah was able to get out of Philippe that he had indeed sold this information to others. Yet he would not reveal who he had sold it too, nor what their plans were. Philippe was convinced that they would let him go very shortly, in fear that these mysterious powerful friends would be too dangerous. Micah was not one to fear, especially in contrast to principle. Micah decided to let Henry have a try with the bullwhip. Philippe may be a criminal, but he is not a true spy. His tongue loosed very quickly when the whip began to play. Henry: "So it appears that he found out by overhearing Major Howitz being told about it. They were talking overtly loud and it became easy to eavesdrop. He followed the Major and was able to acquire more information using his particular set of skills, cat burglary." Micah: "Who has he sold this information too? Do they know the exact route?" Henry: "He said the fleet was supposed to be leaving Nelissa enroute to Terelli. They are supposed to sail past An Holli then meet additional escorts for the time they sail near the larger ports and shipping lanes. He has sold the information to the Order of Oleon, the kingdom of Mardier, and the factions within Garvey. Apparently Garvey intends to send a large vessel to intercept the fleet. It is presently stationed at their settlement on Alicentia." Micah: "Tie up our 'friend' and hand him over to the Eslandolean ambassador. Eslandola shall treat this traitor the way he truly deserves. Plus, they may find he has more information that is useful. Tell the ambassador everything we have found out so far. I will head to the docks and attempt to find a fast vessel heading east that can alert our settlements in Mooreton Bay, or King's Harbor. Maybe they can mount a defense against Garvey's vessel. I will also command the Soupfish to resupply and set sail as soon as possible. Perhaps it can reach our Eslandolean friends and warn them to alter their route. Then I have to get to supper to discuss wedding plans." Edit: Fixed some of the text, and added a photo I missed. To refresh on previous parts of the story, here is a link to all the builds I have done.
4. This thread encompasses all builds within Elizabethville and on the Corrington claimed island of Lacryma. Name: Elizabethville Ownership: Crown Location: Lacryma Mayor: Tom Mercer (SilentWolf) Trade Value: See account sheet Who can own property in Elizabethville: Anyone Who can freebuild in Elizabethville: Anyone Map: To be released someday About the settlement of Elizabethville: Elizabethville is founded on the island of Lacryma which was discovered by Micah and the other members of the WETEC while searching for new islands to the East. They found there a friendly local tribe, and were informed that the island had many other tribes as well. The partners founded a horse ranch in the area near there discovery of a cave. This was the beginning of the settlement that is growing as new settlers arrive from all parts of Corrington and the brickworld. The geography of Lacryma is mostly pedestrian looking plains with plenty of trees scattered about along with a few small forests. There is no great harbor on the island, but several places to anchor a ship safely. 8. Hello! Recently I have decided to enter a contest over on Flickr, the Colossal Battle Contest in the group LEGO War. One of the categories is Beasts of battle, and I was wondering if anyone had ideas/techniques of how to build cool animals that might fit that theme. I already have one entry done, but I still want to hear some ideas and learn some new techniques to apply in other builds as well. I hope this topic will help others too, because I know that animals and beasts are often rather difficult to realistically represent in LEGO brick form. Thanks everyone!
9. So I put together this Lego cart below and I thought the build style was fun enough to share. The "column" pieces made good hay bundles and the side panels gave just enough room to hold them to make a good sized cart. But there was another problem. The horse was too short and it make the cart tilt forward. That's when I got the idea of putting either hooves or horse shoes depending on what you want them to be. The horse was taller and even had a fun style element. This made me wonder, why doesn't Lego put hooves or horse shoes on the horses? It makes for a fun extra element so maybe I'll start adding them to my horses now. The video shows how to make the cart and will give a few more angles than this title screen can show. I also included a couple stop motion scenes to add a little fun. Enjoy!

12. The Stud One of the most classic symbols of the American West is the mustang stallion, the untamed spirit of the mesas and scrublands. I lived in Colorado for seven years, and pictures and statues of horses were everywhere, including a demon stallion greeting folks at the Denver airport. So, inspired by such memories, and on the heels of my American icons of the Monarch butterfly and American robin, I bring the stud stallion. I seem to be on a nature streak these days, inspired by the Style it Up contest. This week's prompt was to build something with no visible studs. So of course I built a stud horse. It's also an entry to the Iron Forge, with minifigure legs in the tiny cacti/bush things. C&C welcome.
13. My tribute to a famous Chinese ink painter Xu Beihong (1895-1953). He was primarily known for painting horses. No glue used. Unlike the real painting which was done on paper, this MOC is very thick and heavy. I use a lot of technic parts to get more than half of the slopes stuck. The size of the MOC is 44x44 studs. I think this is the maximum size allowed for this method of creation. You may have noticed all the edges were curved outwards. 14. Hi! I would like to introduce you my series of creations that is a story about Oliver's horrifying night. Enjoy. This is Oliver. He´s a very average middle-aged man, who goes to work every morning, makes his monthly house loan payments on time and enjoys things like watching sports on TV and eating junk food. Sometimes he goes to the pub and drinks a beer or two, as you can see. However, Oliver´s got a problem: at night he suffers from awful nightmares. That´s why the dark circles under his eyes have been a part of his facial features for years. Oliver having fun by Heksu, on Flickr The day turns to night. Oliver goes to bed but has a feeling that the night is going to be hard. Oliver trying to get some sleep by Heksu, on Flickr Oliver fell asleep fast at night, but the torture began soon. Oliver, who suffers from arachnophobia but loves reading, has already seen this same nightmare many, too many, times. Spider attack by Heksu, on Flickr Because of the spider nightmare Oliver’s shirt was dripping with sweat, and he woke up to change a dry one. It was only a couple of minutes past twelve o’clock. Oliver fell asleep again. The next dream started this time quite promisingly. Oliver was hiking in a rainforest that was full of beautiful and colorful flowers and other vegetation. It was surprisingly quiet, as if all the animals would have been hiding. There weren’t even mosquitoes disturbing! Oliver found a stream and filled his water bottle. Then he sat down against a rock face and drank. But no paradise without a… In the rain forest by Heksu, on Flickr It seems that Oliver's nightmares won't stop. Oliver has in his garden a decayed pine tree that he should cut down. However, Oliver has avoided the task, because he's afraid that something goes wrong... like in this nightmare. Romantic candle dinner by Heksu, on Flickr I will probably create more nightmare-MOCs to annoy Oliver - until then, sweet dreams! 15. Hi guys, So I figured, if anyone would be able to help me, it'd be the fine folks over at the Eurobricks Forums. Basically I am trying my best to recreate this: As seen in the LEGO Movie (though briefly), it is one of the Wild West Citizen's Master Build creation designed to thwart President Business. I am currently attempting to recreate it in LDD, with limited success, (I've done the head, reigns and a bit of the front legs). I have found a few low-res or blurry images online which are not too much additional help unfortunately. However, I do know that a recreation of this horse can be found at The LEGO Movie Experience at Legoland California, which does admittedly differ ever-so-slightly from the onscreen version, but nevertheless will be the closest reference imagery I'll be able to find outside the one above still from the film. Anyway, Has anyone here been to visit The LEGO Movie Experience and has already happened to have taken some nice high-res imagery of this horse..? Or is anyone going soon who would be able to assist me by taking some detailed snaps? Can anyone identify the Minifigure riding on top? Does anyone know the original creator who built it? I know it's a long shot, but any further reference imagery I could get would go a long way to helping me re-create this great build, which I would of course share on completion. Many thanks for your interest and help! - James

17. Not sure if this is the best forum for this, but I guess it is mostly a Technic model. I've been wanting to build a horse for quite a while, and since I've been building a lot of mechanical models recently I figured I might as well try and build one that moves. I tried to incorporate a lot of the subtle movement of a galloping horse into it, including the rocking of the body, forward thrust of the head and a little flick of the tail. I went through quite a few prototypes refining the motion. Any horse expert will tell you it isn't an exact reproduction, but I was really pleased with how well it turned out. All of the movement is driven through a single shaft that runs up through the base, which can be cranked by hand or with a motor. Details of how all the movement works is included in the video. Hope you enjoy! J

19. Here is a fun way to make epic scenes using a very few number of pieces! Micro castle is awesome. Wade through danger Side Back That's MY treasure Side Microscale is really fun since you can build huge scenes with only 1/10th of the pieces! Helps on space and budget ;) I submitted this to LEGO Ideas, so it may even be made into a set one day! You can help make it happen if you vote for it here! Thank you for your time!
20. If you heard nothing about a gang of Ginger Joe then you probably were born much later the events that occurred on the territory of the future state of Colorado. In 1858, in the streams of the Rockies gold was found. Thousands of people flocked here going for the gold. Soon prospectors camps have turned into small towns and became the object of attack of the the Indians and robbers. Then all knew the most notorious thugs - Joe gang. His fiery red hair was seen at the attacks on shops merchants, robberies on the roads and even attacks on bank branches. So far, luck was on the side of the bandits, but this time it all went wrong... Bank robbery was planned carefully. All foreshadowed easy profits. But, instead of the two guards with sawn-off shotguns, hijackers met well armed force. In the skirmish was killed most of the gangs, but Joe himself managed to escape. He decided to get rid of the chase and to lay low for the some time... By the wild narrow path riding on the Caesar he sneaks to Arizona. But suddenly old Sheriff Bill Kanning blocked the way... 21. It represents the house/laboratory from which the blue jackets are supplied for the fabrics and accessories for their uniforms. On the ground floor there is the leather workshop, where the merchant shears one of his sheep among rolls of fabric, trunks of wool and various dyes, and the wife offers travelers the products of their work...comfortable leather backpacks and shoulder bags for soldiers, as well as various accessories for grooming the beasts and decorating the jackets. Upstairs is the spartan house, small but complete, with a large bed, table and fireplace for warming up and cooking. The house is also equipped with a "recessum", so as not to have to go out in the cold when the body calls, sheepfold and chicken coop. And watch out for the kitten who enjoys ambushing the little animals wandering around on the roof...
22. This is a MOC from a collaboration project where members are creating chess pieces. Once every piece and the board have been modeled, we're hoping to take the whole build on tour so a few major conventions. Having never created a horse before, I took on designing the knight figure for the medieval team (white). Check out my other projects on Instagram and Flickr.

24. Hi, guys! I know that, there is February yet and we're before March release, but let's start new topic! So, at first I want to say that 2023 wave is amazing. New brand, new mudguards, new windscreens! Whoah! And there are my speculation/cars I want to see in Speed Champions 2024: ~ Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport 25 ~ Porsche Taycan ~ Audi e-tron GT ~ BMW M6 ~ BMW M4 GT3 & BMW M3 1991 ~ Ferrari 499p LMH ~ Ford Focus RS 2021 ~ Honda Civic Type R ~ Cadillac LMDH What do you think about my cars? What cars would you like to see? Show your speculation/wishlist.
25. Finally got around to posting my revamp of one of my Brickscalibur (Trading Places category)! Horses are the dominant mode of transportation throughout much of Historica. Farriers are never short of work, with entire families taking up the trade. One such family are the Ogden family, with all three generations of men taking part in the family business. Though advanced in years, Josiah Ogden still has the prowess needed to tend to horse hoofs. His son, Johan Ogden, focuses on preparing horse shoes, while also teaching his own son, Jeremiah, the tools of the trade. Many farriers will also accept centaur clients, with one such client being Brielle Valken on one of her (much needed) days off. Healthy hoofs make a healthy centaur! From left to right: A weary traveller named Tomas and his steed, Ochre Jeremiah Ogden Johan Ogden Josiah Ogden Brielle Valken Comparison: Original vs Revamp The original MOC was cobbled together at the last minute. I submitted entries for every category, and this unfortunately suffered from having the least amount of time allotted to it. I'm glad I was able to revisit it! More images of the revamp:
