Bricklink Designer Program Trains Sets | 2024 & Beyond

Just one is left from the Santa Fe. (It survives in runnable condition at the California State RR museum.) Any others you see are repaints from other railroads. -

I thought most (99.9%) Santa Fe F-units were turned into the ugly home-built CF7 series by the '80s? If that's the case, I wonder who is gonna make the first CF7 -inspired MOD of this set? -
Wow, now I'm really worried! I'll keep you all informed on what happens next... I just messaged him via Facebook (my third message across three methods of communication) as well just to be careful. I am really, REALLY hoping he responds with a timeframe and / or shipping info soon, because if I don't hear from him in some fashion by a month after the order date, I'm gonna try and get my money back.

Ok, so I messaged OKBrickworks a week ago today, and again last Friday - once through email, and the latter through the contact form on the BBB site. It's been two weeks since I ordered, and I've got no response, no communication from them at all. Any guesses / ideas / thoughts as to what's going on? I'm really not trying to be impatient, but I really need those XS wheels sooner rather than later (any other size won't work)...

LEGO Star Wars Media Discussion - Spoiler Warning!

I think you underestimate just how insanely popular David Tennant's Doctor Who run was, that and the popularity of other shows he's been in, like Good Omens. He may not be as big here in the states as he is elsewhere, but he is a big name actor. Just sayin'. -
Does anyone know if BBB is even open yet? I ordered from the redesigned and reopened Big Ben Bricks site that's now owned by OKBrickworks on the 26th of April. I've heard nothing since and am wondering if they backed up with a ton of orders, or are not even open yet. (although the website lets you place orders!) Thoughts?

The lack of trolley poles and the brown seal nearby makes me think it looks like a San Francisco cable car / scene to me. However, if you added trolley poles I could see it working for the other cities as the car's bodywork at the ends isn't quite right for San Fran. So, in short: it probably is a hodge-podge of body styles, tram types, and city locations mashed into one scene.

Same!

Thanks for the heads up!

This image was posted by Brick Train Depot on Facebook, with OKBrickWorks also being tagged in the post. Thought you all would want to know!

I hope somebody bought it! Big Ben Bricks is/ was a pillar of the AFOL train community, so it'd be a shame to see it disappear forever.
-
While that would be nice @_schwede, Space Police is not a City subtheme, but a Space subtheme.... although, a Space City (like as depicted in the old SPIII video logs) would be a cool thing too!

I keep hoping somebody will emerge to buy Big Ben Bricks and restart production, but it seems like a faint hope these days, and getting dimmer the longer it takes IMO. I personally refuse to use the 3D printed wheels everyone else seems to like - only injection molded for me! Oh, and I can't wait to see your pneumatic train again as well someday! I understand your pain regarding picture taking and loss of space. I had to go from a quite a bit of room in my own place to having to share with a family member again in a smaller space due to circumstances beyond my control, and ever since I've had issues with finding room for photo taking... Oh, and final thought: I like you new wheel arrangement for the Atomic loco!
-
Nice to see it flying along the line, and I'm glad you got the issues worked out @Electricsteam - it really looks fantastic! Just curious: do you have anymore projects in the works?

I was an adult when Ninjago came out and I liked it, so am I not "Normal" by your measuring stick? And as an aside: there is no pink ninja besides a one-TV-show-episode gag about washing red with white clothes. Also, @icm did respond about new monorail parts in the post directly above your latest one.
