  1. The bands are on there. See the third picture from the bottom on Brickset's review.
  2. @faph I don't think you can do this with anything but unpowered track and battery powered trains. Too many gaps, and you'd need a separate power supply to the bridge itself for 12v or 9v.
  3. No. The Batman and TLBM are a few of many sub-themes, not themes themselves. DC Superheroes is a theme, as is CITY and Star Wars, whereas Batman 1989, Volcano Explorers and The Last Jedi are not themes, but subdivisions of those themes I listed before. Also, they may be in a multiverse, but more than one Batman in the same universe? The laws of physics would break if this were so... Because Batman.
  4. ....this thread is giving me a significant migraine. I might have to go to the aslume after reading all this stuff. Wait. Did I just say 'aslume'? Man, I must be stupid! Oh no... it's spreading like a bad cold! In all seriousness, R rated movies will never get sets. Period, Full stop, end of line.
  5. Nice work, I love it!
  6. I'm not that afflicted by it... I don't care which direction the studs go, as long as the pieces go where I want them to! (I feel sorry for your fellow LUG member, though.)
  7. Thanks for bringing that up @Stereo! Hopefully we get the missing other wheels in the new colors soon, as this bits-and-pieces approach is driving my OCD crazy! (But such is life as a Lego builder, I guess...)
  8. I don't think it's buildable in real life. (most of this guy's stuff isn't, from what I recall) The antenna isn't available in that color, for starters, and I'd be willing to bet it isn't alone in that regard. I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, @ritzcrackerman and @Zephyyrh.
  9. Main post edited 4/15/24: Sorry for the REALLY late update, but I've finally gotten started on building this in real bricks! (only took three years, but whose counting?) Sadly, I wasn't too sure on the plate roof and if it would attach properly, so it was revised into brick slopes again. Sorry for everyone who liked that more! Compare the old... ..to the new! Over half of the parts have been found so far for the newer station. I've also started taking apart my Disney-inspired station for it's pieces, so that has made a dent in this project, with more to come as I start on the ground floor of that older MOC. It should be finished in real life sooner rather than later, with real world pictures of it and my Hogwarts Express coming shortly there afterwards. Also, apologies to the mods for the three-year topic bump.
  10. I wouldn't necessarily say the world adored Lego in the 1990's. (yes, it had fans, but not like now!) Remember, Lego made big news worldwide in 1997 by posting their first deficit, and sales had been declining for a while before that for several reasons. SW helped reverse that trend temporarily, until Bionicle came along and REALLY saved the company's bacon. There even was a serious offer from Mattel to buy Lego that was being given some careful thought right before Bionicle took off! I don't doubt Star Wars got them the money to plug along until Bionicle came around to dig them out of that hole. Without Star Wars, we might never have gotten Bionicle, and then we might be talking on a Mattel-based forum right now!* *These last two sentences are my opinion. I don't know if they're true, but it makes logical sense.
  11. I personally think not long now... maybe less than a month? But nobody knows for sure, except for LEGO. EDIT: Ninja'd by @The Brick Boss!
  12. It's way too early to know what's coming in 2025. EDIT: Misread your post. I thought you said 'half of the next year'. Apologies.
  13. To upload pictures, you have to link them from somewhere else, like Flickr, Bricksafe, or a few others. EB isn't meant to hold photos. As to the original question by Ropefish, I have no ideas. sorry!
  14. Edward has been added to the first post, and it's about time too... he's the one that started it all! This inside-connected 4-4-0 was designed by taking parts of set 7597 (Western Train Chase) and combining them with a tender originally designed for certain other English loco. The resulting amalgamation is supposed to be Edward from The Railway Series books / Thomas and Friends TV show. Engines 1 thru 6 are built in real life, with 7 and 8 designed digitally... though I don't think I'll build them. (too many engines, not enough rolling stock!)
  15. These look amazing, but I have some questions: 1. are they 3D printed of injection molded? 2. Tan 1x4x3 Emerald Night windows when? (You will make a KILLING there if you decide to do them!) You also might want to add the photos directly to your post from Flickr @SerperiorBricks. You'll get more comments and site traffic that way!
  16. Nice to see I'm not the only one who saw Adventurers' Mike in that newspaper boy!
  17. You ain't the only one confused by what this is all about!
  18. EDIT: Nevermind. I jumped to conclusions.
  19. I'm really flattered you want instructions from me, but I have no way of making them - I only have an LDD file and the instruction maker there is crap, to put it bluntly. However, where I got the base SW1500 model from has instructions for their model. It shouldn't be too difficult to recreate what I did from that (and a parts list of my MOC if you want it). Sorry I can't be much more help @ivanlan9!
  20. I misread the title as 12V instead of V12 and spent the first half of this thread very confused on where the electric train motor was. (You can tell I spend a lot of time in Train Tech, can't you?)
  21. Thank you @LEGO Train 12 Volts for your kind words! RE the cab roof: Will do, @Feuer Zug! Thanks for stopping by!
  22. Space theme started in 1978. so 60 years would be 2038 and 50 would be 2028.
  23. This is the only image I have, from 2020. (It's packed up right now so I can't get a better shot.) They aren't connected very well, and I had to modify the Voldemort area so it would attach better.
  24. I LOVE the Visorak feet as trees! Very cool NPU!
  25. That sounds awesome! Hidden Side was great for combining with HP sets! I combined Hidden Side set 70420 (Graveyard Mystery) with HP set 75965 (The Rise of Voldemort). I'm also planning on putting the new Hagrid's hut nearby as a groundskeeper's house for the cemetery.
