Inspired by @M2m thread I've started wrting a 3D Studio Max script that allows importing, editing and exporting LDD brick geometry and their XML data. They are rough, some geometry data is unknown (this doesn't have any visible or noticable impact so far) but it works and here's the result (click for bigger pictures): Fixed connectivity issue of 90 deg tube (pretty popular piece for 2018/2019 technic sets): Custom 3x5x2 panel that I saw in one of the Chinese custom (not copied from Lego) models: I was curious how my MOC would look like with more realistic, narrow tires so I shrinked Unimog tire to fit on 42029 rim. Dimensions: 81,6 x 30: For the tractor enthusiasts - how could a Class tire look like on an Arcos rim - also that Chinese model. Hi guys, For some time I've been working on these sticker sheets to use in various Lego Star Wars builds. It is primarily made for the Factions RPG here on Eurobricks, but I thought I'd share them with everyone. Nov. 2015 Initial Post: Hello Eurobrickers! I have a great announcement for you guys, especially those who are interested in Cavegod's UCS AT-AT. Over the past month or so, I have worked a countless number of hours in order to bring all of you guys something that this MOC deserved ever since its creation, a proper instruction manual. Yes, that's right, the famed issues of LDD will no longer be apart of this project thanks to this manual. Now I'm sure you're wondering, how big is a 6000+ piece manual? Well, to answer that question, the manual is a massive 1,089 pages. No that is not a typo, ONE THOUSAND AND EIGHTY NINE PAGES!!! A special thanks goes out to both Cavegod and drdavewatford. Cavegod designed a masterful MOC, one of the greatest ever, and drdavewatford was kind enough to allow me use of some of his photos throughout the manual. This could not be achieved without you guys! Enough of me talking, here are some images directly from the manual: (Initial images removed for clarity on update) Oct. 2020 Instructions Update: Almost five years after its initial release, I'm thrilled to announce that the remastered instructions for Cavegod's AT-AT are complete! The instructions feature updates that make this build SO much easier and affordable. The most important things that are included in the updated instructions are: Redesigned Legs. These new legs have a technic interior and erase any issues that occurred with the original leg stability Reinforced Body Frame. The handle is now incredibly sturdy and the technic structure that is housed within the body is significantly more sturdy Cheaper Pieces. After several years it was time to swap out the expensive parts. The parts and MOC are now much more affordable. Display Base. What MOC would be complete without a display base? I designed a large black display base that includes technic framing to snap in the feet, a much better alternative to the old method of tires within the feet. The base also features several snow-covered rocks to imitate a Hoth landscape The MOC now consists of 8,935 pieces and measures: 34" long 18" wide 30" tall The instructions are now reduced down to 550 pages. More information about getting the instructions and free access to the parts list can be found here Pete and I are super pumped to be sharing the update with you, and I cannot understate how much better they've made the build experience and final MOC. If you already own the instructions after getting them from me in the past, you should have received an email detailing how to obtain the updated instructions. I'm creating a McDonald's for my LEGO LANE project. Here are my simple techniques to create various McDonald's signs. Feel free to use them in your city! Find out how to create the Apple Store logo here. LEGO McDonald's 1/3 - Signboard pole How to create the famous "M" signboard pole from McDonald's in LEGO. LEGO McDonald's 2/3 - Rooftop sign Push the studs (part 87087) of the "M" into the holes and you have a McDonald's rooftop sign. Attach another "M" on the back for a nice 360 view. LEGO McDonald's 3/3 - Wall sign and Ronald McDonald statue And here's another way to put a big "M" onto your McDonald's build. I also created a very basic Ronald McDonald statue. The fries and burger are from official LEGO sets.

Hello does anyone have any advice for building custom pull-back or clockwork motors using technic pieces? I’m trying to build one for a custom armoured train since I don’t have the money for all the fancy motor pieces. Thank you -
Hello one and all, For those that have more experience with pneumatic systems, I was wondering if a self-sustainable, closed-loop system is feasible with LEGO pneumatics? I have been toying with the following idea in my mind: Air tanks lend air to an engine and to a power generator, leftover air from the engine going to a turbine, and from that to two compressors. Power from the pneumatic power generator goes to the lego-built compressors which resupply air to the air tanks. Would such a system work? Or am I looking at a pipe dream (pun intended)?

Hi all, I've started to use again the 3D printer after a big time it was unused (I had to re-align it and still has some work to do). Thinking about a model of @Evans (a large steamer in 12v style with old 12v medium size wheels - those of 7750 , but in black), I tried to recreate the original 12v medium wheels design and I also tried to go further, enlarging them to 37mm size. The new wheels feature 10 spokes as the original old wheels, angled at 36° each. I used Tinkercad since it is easy and more than sufficient for my projects. And this is the result ,printed both in black and red (red filament is new - I have to understand why there is black filament residual - I'm still a total noob on 3D printing ). I printed on a medium quality setting for the red ones. The black wheels were printed on draft setting. The filament I used is PLA - a medium cost one but it works fine. The red color is somewhat between the red one used for new Large wheels and the old red of the 80s. I think there are darker and lighter red filaments, but it's really difficult to tell if the printed result will be of the correct color (the raw filament color is quite the same as the original Lego wheels, but once printed...they are a bit brighter). I used a pair of normal red wheels (the ones used on wagons - like in 7720) I removed the original wheels, kept the "red axle" and used it with my 3d printed wheel. Then I locked again in place the red pin on the black wheel holder brick - and that's all. I'll post here all my experiments - there's a lot to improve! Hi everybody! So much time was spent for findings which model to build for the contest and finally found the best option for me. I believe you already know which model i am talking about, yep it is Mercedes AMG coupe. At this moment i am not 100% sure that it would be SLS AMG or it would AMG GT, but for sure it will be one of these models. Few words about specification: Wheels: 43.2x14 for front and 43.2x22 for rear drive Engine: V8 connected with rear axle Color: red Regarding functions, let it be a surprise for all of us. ;) Initial update spent one night for preparing the engine and the place for steering. -
I’m in the plane stage of a lego project I have the blueprint to make a RC scale model of German Horton 229 from WWII. I thought it be cool to make it out Lego bricks (after seeing someone a very large replica of Air Force One ). The only problem I’m having is how the engine are designed into the plane. I want to be authentic on my design. I’m hoping not to ruffle any feather by asking for help with project. I just think it’s a pretty cool plane. I attached some pics of the real Horton 229 as it sit in the Smithsonian to be restored for the museum.. again I hope it ok to post these considering it still has all the original marking on the plane. I got those off the google to show the design of the engines. again I apologize if I offended anyone

Good evening, everyone, Today I would like to present you our model of the German "war locomotive DR BR 52" of the "Deutsche Reichsbahn". This is a tender locomotive, of which more than 7000 units have been built since 1942. It is often called a war locomotive, because it was designed and built especially for war conditions and the resulting shortage of raw materials. Even after the war, these locomotives were still in use for a long time, distributed throughout Europe. The retirement of the Deutsche Bahn took place in 1962. The model can be powered by two Power-Functions L-motors. Both engines and the infrared receiver are installed in the boiler. The battery box finds place in the tub tender. The locomotive consists of approx. 1218 components and is approx. 64 studs long. The model has some details, such as the undercarriage, the superstructure on the boiler or the striking tub tender. Various SNOT techniques were used during construction. I made this custom Walker for my nephew's 12th birthday (hence "M12"). It takes inspiration from the Power Miners theme (hence "Power"), set 8957. I released the .io model on Star Wars Day 2019 on Bricklink here. A backup is available on MediaFire here. Please let me know if you like it! I will post some pics of the real build soon.

I made these three Christmas ornaments for my nephews and nieces as a small gift. Use a little rope or a hook to hang them in your Christmas tree. Maybe you can use these instructions to surprise someone next year! Please let me know if you like them.

I hope it's okay to share this here. I just bought and reviewed DemonHunter Bricks' Luke's Lightsaber (Return of the Jedi) LEGO replica set. It costs £49.99 in the UK from their site with free postage. They email you a pdf file of the instructions and then ship you the parts by post. Would love to know if any other LEGO Star Wars fans on here have bought any of their sets. I've also bought Han's Blaster (DL-44) and will be reviewing that soon in a separate video.

Gargoyle Amber Ceremonial Guard Although these seemingly lifeless statues are usually found in a ceremonial solemn mood, the weapons of the Amber Guards serve more than merely decorative function, as anyone who has ever been met with a swift blow from a massive granite sword will surely tell you. Animated by ancient Gargoylean runes and Amber magic, these fellows fight fiercely when the ancient graveyards are disturbed by trespassers. So better honour the aeons. Hello everyone, I have built a model of one of Britains classic race cars, the Bentley 4.5l ‘Blower’, a project that was never actually approved by W.O Bentley (company founder) but nonetheless took part in the 1930 Le Mans 24hr race and French Grand Prix where it finished second behind a much more agile Bugatti type 35. Its claim to fame was not through racing victory but through its racing stories. The model has working ‘worm and wheel’ steering and a removable bonnet to expose the 4.5 litre, 4-cylinder supercharged engine. Accuracy and realism was key right from the chassis frame and the parts were spray painted to give two new green colours. Hello, everybody! I live in a place where acquiring LEGO (sets or parts) is incredibly difficult due to many reasons, including the inability to buy online. I would like some ideas concerning minifigures I never had. What I would like is: -A head design for Kit Fisto (Purist, and I can apply decals for the face. I just need ideas for the tentacles.) -Luminara's hat. -Aayla Secura's twi'lek tentacles -Pong Krell's head. If any of you have any ideas, I would be extremely glad to learn from you! Thank you! -

Two days ago, I went to my local LEGO shop and managed to get my hands on set 76141 Thanos Mech, and yay, because I already had set 76140 Iron Man Mech. So I decided to make a custom thingy-majigy out of the pieces I had, and I made the weird, totally stupid Iron Mechosaurus, which is absolutely awful but fun to mess around with. Because there's only a certain size of files I can upload here, I've got a PDF of the custom here. Hope you like it (although I won't be surprised if nobody does).

The main model uses 2,581 bricks, and the minifigures and accessories add ~150 parts to that. Our personal favorite feature is the curved wall with three cannons overlooking the water! Everything is modular, allowing easy access to all play features. More importantly, the set includes five spring-loaded cannons that can be positioned anywhere along the fort walls, allowing for quick defense against raiding pirates! Here are some pics of my brick built animals. Perhaps some day I will finish my custom Zoo to cage them. [MOC] Giraffe This is a remake of my old giraffe. This time I tried to give the giraffe a spot pattern. Head, legs and tail are posable. [MOC] Lion I created this one in 2015. It uses a tan colored 1x2 plate with clip(s) for jaw which was not available yet at that time. Now it is thanks to BrickHeadz. Jaw, legs and tail are posable. [MOC] Stork I created this one for the Polybag Competition at Brickset.com. Place it on the roof of a LEGO house. [MOC] Baby elephant This one was also created for the Polybag Competition at Brickset.com. It looks very cute next to a modded 10257 elephant or the 'rebuild the world' elephant.

Hi all! Lately I am more and more intrigued by trying to make my own silicone molds for LEGO parts (mostly Bionicle) and make resin casts. I have had a look online and there's some good tips and tutorials. This is an "old but gold" tutorial about how to make molds for lego hairpieces and helmets, I remember it from many years ago, but now sadly the images have gone missing. Has anyone tried, and has experience to share? In particular brands of silicone and resin to use. Another important thing will be trying to match as much as possible original LEGO colors. Does anyone have some experience to share on that regard? It would be very helpful! Some people got very nice results but I doubt they'd want to share their secrets :P I have never attempted silicone casting, so I only know what I could read online :) Thanks for your help!

It's been a long time, maybe even too long, since I posted a finished MOC. But here I am, posting again this now good old BMW i8 of mine.
