  1. If I was any minifig or train customizer shop, I would be worried at this point that I would be next.
  2. Either that, or John Smith.
  3. It's nice, but not my cup of tea as I prefer the original more, but thanks for posting it @Stereo!
  4. I voted for gold. It would go well with the new gold spaceman from City. It could also be used as a statue if the head is swapped to plain gold.
  5. @Stereo I put my car's rear wheels a full stud closer together width-wise to get the look I wanted. I can't imagine LEGO doing it any other way, honestly. And yes, having the wheels any closer to the front is impossible.
  6. @The Island Chronicles I struggled with the original set design for some time and couldn't figure out anything past the rear window. That is why my MOD is like it is - the set truly stumped me, so I made do with a design I knew!
  7. Regular green is actually the closest to LNER green, while dark green is more from the BR era. But otherwise, you did well! (How much of it is actual LEGO though @LEGO Train 12 Volts? Just curious, as you mention Blue Brixx....)
  8. Recently I reverse engineered what I could of the 1950's-styled 'lead sled' in upcoming summer 2024 set 60408 - Car Transporter. I didn't have pictures of the rear (and obviously instructions were also a no-go at this time), so improvised as best I could using what I thought looked reasonable for a fifties car. I managed to get 99% of the car built from one picture. The front of the car with the vehicle's owner. I can build the car in other colors, (yellow and red are among the possibilities currently) but I'm keeping my lips sealed on what the future holds... The rear of the car. Admittedly, I stole the taillights design from this old @hachiroku MOC. The inside seats one figure at the wheel. Here is the original car from set 60408, which releases this August in the USA. This is the one picture I used to build the car MOC, which was cut from a much larger picture and greatly expanded in size. ...That's all I got. Thoughts, comments, questions, suggestions, and complaints welcome!
  9. Nice work, love the mashup concept and the use of miner helmets for Dalek tops! Also, Davros wanting the Doctor's autograph sounds like a clever plan to (finally!) get his name!
  10. Its' certainly British, looking at the money used in the prices, and the address to send back to. (British LEGO Ltd.) Maybe mid 70s to early 80s? I really don't know. Sorry I can't be of more help @CheeseWedges!
  11. ah, The Black Hole... Disney's failed answer to Star Wars. Little did anyone know they'd OWN Star Wars in another 33 years! Great MOC, and keep up the good work!
  12. Update: I've gotten a little further on my garage modular building without ordering anything. The parts list has been gone through, and it's only gonna cost a hair under $50 (before S&H, off course!) to finish this MOC when i get around to it.
  13. PIGS IN SPAAAAAAACE! (Sorry, it had to be done.) Nice work, even though the spray paint bothers my inner purist. However, I shut that inner voice up when I saw the absolute perfection that is Darth Gonzo, so you're good! Side note: it appears that one episode of the Muppet Show will be the closest we will ever get to a Star Wars meets Star Trek crossover.
  14. No is the only answer to that.... Sets are made over 6 months (or longer) before they are revealed and / or sold. So everything Wicked has been made already. There is no way Lego would redesign sets (and they would have to, because minidolls can fit in places miifigs can't!) print new figure designs and create new art work just like that. It just isn't feasible.... and why should they do it anyway? Because some people don't like minidolls? LEGO does crap tons of market research to figure these things out - they know what they are doing. If the polls and play tests say dolls over figs, then why should they lessen the potential profit by saying "Nah, we'll ignore the research we just conducted and do it a different way!"? LEGO is in the business of making the most money they can, so this idea people get that they should listen to silly demands is ridiculous in the extreme. But I digress...
  15. Great work on this unique train, and kudos to you for getting it to around official train tracks - not an easy task for bigger engines like this!
  16. Thanks! A 1950s feel was my intent @Yperio_Bricks! I'll look into that. Thanks for the suggestion @yohai71. You are correct @Lemerbrix! I actually have a few other CARS 3 printed parts I'm gonna use as well.... but exactly which ones are a secret.
  17. Agree on your minidolls points. What does everyone want from this theme? I want that train from the movie trailer so badly... an Art Deco streamlined steam loco? Yes please!
  18. The Wicked sets are being revealed soon, as LEGO posted a theme teaser on Facebook, and Brickset posted an article with the official press release. Minidolls are confirmed as well as a release date - October 1st.
  19. Thanks to whichever Moderator front paged my MOC! It's always such a high honor to be seen there!
  20. @Darth Andrew I'm fairly confident it's sadly gone the way of the dodo. MOCpages is another example of a site that was lost a few years back. No idea why FBTB is gone exactly, but Lego sites like that are becoming rarer and rarer, and forums in general are a dying breed. Both are thanks to social media dominating everything!
  21. I was inspired by Overwatch set 75972 (Dorado Showdown) to create this modular small town auto repair shop with 1950s tow truck. I call the building Smokeys Garage. The building features a raised platform for cars to roll onto and be worked on, with folding ramps to keep the broken-down vehicle (in this case a dark blue Ford Anglia set 75953 MOD) in place. The front of the building. I've been working on this tow truck and building on and off basically since the Overwatch theme released in 2019. The rear of the building featuring a few empty oil barrels and some old engines. The main floor of the building, with the ramps lowered for receiving a broken-down car. Several types of tools hang from the walls. Upstairs on the second floor is the employee break room. The eight wide hover-truck from Overwatch set 75972 has been turned into a 6-studs wide 1950's-style tow truck. Rear of the truck. The hook is too high off the ground to actually pull anything... The cab roof is removable to seat the driver behind the wheel. This 1960s car is a heavily modified version of the Ford Anglia in the 2018 Harry Potter set 75953 - Hogwarts Whomping Willow, remade into dark blue. It has broken down, and is being worked on at Smokeys Garage. (my most recent modular building) The rear of the Anglia. The car has an opening trunk and cabin doors, and also seats one figure. EDITED 8/14/24: So, it's taken quite a while, but it's finally done! Enjoy the MOC!
  22. Classic Vinyl is a satellite radio channel name, so I don't have to flip over any records. (I don't even own a turntable or records!) Imagine is a good song, as are a good chunk of the other Lennon songs, but a few others...
  23. Building trolleys / streetcars / trams is not easy, but you make it seem so! Keep up the good work!
  24. Great question @Space Coyote! I have Sirius XM, so I either put on '60's Gold or Classic Vinyl. (60's hits of all kinds / 60's and 70's rock hits, respectively) Either those choices, or the 5+ hours of Beatles music on my iTunes.... depends on my mood.
