  1. "You are now entering the Blacktron sector! This is the absolute limit of the Classic Space quadrant! You have been warned!" ...sorry about that. Had to get the legal stuff out of the way first! Anyway: Blacktron long-range fighter "Buzzard" Above is the two copies of the Blacktron XL-15, which are now dubbed the "Buzzard" type starfighter. So back in January of 2023, I decided to convert the XL-15 spaceship from the film "Lightyear" into original Blacktron colors. The blue became yellow, and white was turned to black, with all the trans-green removed. I added laser blasters under the wings where some technic pins are and put a different control tile in the cockpit. I was thinking about building a second ship, but then again, getting some of the parts from Bricklink was a total pain due to extremely low quantities in the needed color. (I'm talking about you, 3 x 3 wedge plate in yellow!) Thankfully, I bought one too many of both kinds of the yellow 12 x 3 wedge plates, as they are very rare as well with only one store selling four of each kind in the USA, which made making the second one easier later on. Blacktron command vessel "Executor" In addition to the two Buzzards, I wanted a Blacktron capitol ship. I had no ideas of my own ship, so I spent most of the afternoon of 10/5/23 taking Benny's beloved spaceship from The Lego Movie and corrupting it into a twisted, evil version. I revamped the nose, removed the expanding wing assembly and snub fighters. Of course I then recolored it almost exclusively in black and yellow. (some gray was unavoidable!) I armed it with a turret on the top rear where the sensor array once was, and put the commanders office below where the wing mechanism used to be. To keep with the one-word naming scheme of the original Blacktron, I borrowed the name of Darth Vader's Super Star Destroyer, decreeing this ship the Blacktron Executor. I struggled to think of an engine flame color that fit OG Blacktron, but eventually trans-light blue was selected. Since the wings don't extend anymore, I added a third section for figures with a turret on top in their place. The rear-most section lifts away, but the rest of the roof sections are supposed to fold open. The ship seats seven troops and 1 commander. Blacktron cargo transporter "Vendetta" The Blacktron Vendetta is finally finished! I combined the Renegade with a new cockpit modified from the Blacktron Cruiser GWP, with added parts from a free Rebrickable MOC's instructions for a Cruiser / Renegade adapter . The cargo pod is reverse engineered and modified from one posted in a Brickset article. You can view the Rebrickable MOC by user Brickstertwo here while the Brickset article about modifying 10355 is here. The rear of the vessel. I changed the engines flames from trans-red to trans-light blue to match the rest of my fleet. Same thing with the yellow technic wheels becoming light bluish gray. The cockpit seats one mini-figure, and has two laser cannons just outside the canopy. The removable cargo pod is inspired by one in a Brickset article from late December of last year. It works beautifully with the ship's drop mechanism. The top lifts open on a hinge so you can put cargo inside. Blacktron two-man snub fighter "Avalanche" These ships are Blacktron 1 versions of a classic Star Wars speeder design is mostly taken from set 75204 - Sandspeeder, with portions taken from other snow-based versions of the type as well. All this is wrapped up in a new black and yellow paint job with a trans-yellow windscreen from 75414 - The Force Burner Snowspeeder. I call this ship type the Avalanche class snub fighter, and they will be going with my heavily modified Renegade set and the rest of my Blacktron 1 MOD's. Rear view of the two ships. This type of short-range fighter is usually assigned in massive quantities to defend critical planets with Blacktron bases on them, whereas the much more capable and deadly Buzzard type is usually for capitol ship escort duty, and can take on much bigger vessels with only a dozen or so fighters. The inside seats two figures. Blacktron armored ground transporter "Marauder" The 2021 Star Wars set 75311 (Imperial Armored Marauder) has been transformed into a Blacktron 1 version, complete with revised guns instead of those annoying flick-fire things. I couldn't use space seats inside this one, but there are plenty (four) 2x2 modified tiles with just enough room for air-tanks in the model... at least I hope that will be the case! The rear of the hover-vessel with the laser turrets rotated. There are eight total opening hatches on the all four sides and top to place figures / store cargo. One figure sits in the rotating rear turret, two troopers sit in the main body of the vehicle, while the last fig sits in the drivers seat. Blacktron giant robot "Destructor" For this model, I used parts and ideas from the Eternals line's "In Arishem's Shadow" set 76155 (body / head / upper legs / upper arms) along with claw from the old Agents 2.0' "Robot Attack" set 8970. The lower legs and laser arm are (modified) holdovers from the "Build Better Bricks" Iron Giant instructions. (I need to fix the laser arm's elbow joint but I keep forgetting!) Blacktron "Shadow Runner" space car Recently, while I was on my Blacktron kick, I decided I needed a vehicle for the commander. So, after a few false starts with other models, I dusted off this old TRON Legacy Light Runner model and went to town modifying it. The model originally was made five years ago (was 2018 really that long ago?!?), and is based off the two-seater TRON set 21314 MOD that was made by BrickBrosUK and posted on Brickset here. The name Shadow Runner is a play on the Light-based vehicles from TRON. Blacktron minifigs 1x commander 4x officers 19x troopers 1x robot (E.D.G.A.R.) (Thanks to my brother for giving me ~10 of his unwanted Blacktron torsos from the old GWP that were purchased from Pick-A-Brick back in 2023.) Blacktron robot "E.D.G.A.R." This model is recolored and modified from the E.R.I.C. robot from set 76831 - Zurg Battle - from the Pixar film Lightyear. I call this one E.D.G.A.R. which stands for: Electronic Data Gathering / Assimilating Robot Blacktron space base "Outpost 13" This sandwich-looking model was built from an 2002 Alpha Team set 4795 (Ogel Underwater base and AT sub) but heavily modified to fit into the Blacktron I theme. I had to fill in the spots where the flexible plastic "window' pieces were, replace the skull logo with the upside-down Tri-Force logo of Blacktron I, find ways to make the model almost totally "air tight", and add on a radar dish instead of a harpoon gun. I also made the building a lot deeper - about eight studs. The rear of the model. I took out the fancy spinning wall of the original set and replaced it with a bank of windows. The radar installation and it's tower are my own design. As on the original set, the logo folds down, where it can be used as a ramp. Also as on the original set, the MOD folds open to access the inside details. Special shout out to Jon Mo who designed the brick built Blacktron logo I used on my model (thanks also goes to EliteGuard01 for finding that logo design and recommending it to me). The inside was very hard to figure out, as most space furniture is for me. I decided on six computer stations and a desk for the commander. Another source of trouble was to make the building open cleanly and close without holes. The original set struggled with this, and it failed miserably - however I feel I managed to fix that issue. Inside of the rear with the commander's desk front and center. Blacktron hover tank "Havok" I modified 25 year old Star Wars set 7155 (Trade Federation AAT) into Blacktron I colors. Before that, the original set was very much a mess of too many colors, but now these two look elegant and refined in my opinion. Here is the rear of one of the tanks with turret rotated. Initially, I only slightly modified Dennis' Talbot T3 “Einheitstaschenwagen” Sdgms Source: https://open-l-gauge.eu/talbot-t3-einheitstaschenwagen-sdgms-4-color-versions (available under Creative Common License CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/). But I was not satisfied with the result. So I rebuilt the frame, but took over many details from his wagon: I copied the lettering from a photo of an original intermodal wagon, only the length dimensions were converted into studs: This wagon needs a minimum radius of 104 studs and a maximum kink angle of 1°26', which corresponds to a plate on a rail length of 16 studs. If there is a larger kink in the track, the frame can rest on the rails. I used „n“ as length dimenson, as „Noppen“ is the German translation for stud. Now I think I should have used an abbreviation for stud as this would be international. The letter„s“ can´t be used as this is already an abbreviation for second. What about „st“? „st“ is an abbreviation for the weight unit stone, but this unit was removed from the list of units permitted for trade in the United Kingdom. The stone remains widely used in the United Kingdom and Ireland for human body weight. Should I use „st“? Or should I use the original dimension in meter although the wagon has not properties to scale? A single container on a 60 feet intermodal wagon? I decided to built two containers. I only needed to build the LEGO containers in duplicate, but I couldn't simply copy the stickers. Each container has an individual label consisting of 3 letters for the owner/operator, a fourth letter as a device identifier, a six-digit serial number and a check digit. For the second container, I increased the serial number by one and recalculated the check digit (there are websites for this). I then created the stickers for the second container on this basis.   3. After reading several topics on Eurobricks, today, for the first time, I present an MOC on the forum. Do not hesitate to notify me if I made mistakes in my presentation. This MOC is a kind of tracked machine-gun Tank. It is powered by 2 BuWizz (one in the body, the other in the turret). Motorization: one RC per track with each a gearbox with 2 speeds. The two gearboxes are synchronized and controlled by a motor L. Orientation of the turret by motor M. Lifting of the "gun" by motor L. The firing mechanism uses 2 XL motors. This MOC actually started as a conversation about legends sets in the "future star wars sets". @ARC2149Nova mentioned how he liked the T2-B tank, I looked it up, remembered it from an old mobile game, and decided to MOC it. It probably looks drastically different from what you Empire At War players remember it looking like, and that's because it's based on the canonized version from the "star wars commander" game. It also appeared in the comic "vader down" according to wookiepedia, though I don't have the comic myself and can't confirm this. It's meant to resemble an actual set, with play features and figures, and the design of the base of the turret suffers slightly to allow it to fit a figure. I really like the tank's design in-universe, and must have spent hours on an 8-stud wide version before starting over with a 10-stud wide version. The final specs are: 10 studs wide (not counting the side pods) and ~25 studs long. There are 470 pieces including the figures. There weren't any good images of the back on google for the canon version, so I made some detailing based on what I could see and a bit from the legends version. Front view shows one of the play features I mentioned, hidden spring-loaded shooters. Pushing down on the 1x2 dark red tiles towards the middle of the tank will cause them to fire. I enjoyed making the firing mechanism a lot, and I think the shooters are hidden enough that they're not obstructive to the set. Removing some parts gets you to the driver's seat. Despite the amount of parts removed, it's mostly one chunk that comes off easily enough. Finding a way to include a driver's seat was by far the biggest challenge of the set, and while this solution isn't perfect, it's not too detrimental to the build and even has some control panels down there. Any good set has figures, so I added two stormtroopers and two rebels. Overall, I'm pretty happy with how this turned out. Let me know any suggestions/criticism/comments you have!

  6. Tank Brothers - mini tank troop. It is made of 2 Short Range Tanks, 2 Long Range Tanks, 1 Spy Drone and 1 Commander Tank. These 6 tanks can combine into a big combat robot to defeat more powerful enemies.

Here is the post on my new Lego Technic model, which is of the British Second World War Cruiser Tank, A34 Comet: It entered production in late 1944 but didn't see proper service until early 1945. By Second World War standards it was an excellent vehicle, being fast, well armoured and equipped with a powerful QF 77mm HV gun capable of dealing with almost any enemy tank. It also saw action during the Korean War, however was shortly after superseded by the Centurion Main Battle Tank. The Korean war saw the introduction of the Comet Model B, with the large engine vents sticking out like a spoiler, as shown in the image below. My vehicle is of the Model A which was used during the Second World War, which is noticeably different as it lacks this 'spoiler'. Some information: Weight: 5.9kg (Making it possibly one of the heaviest Lego RC tanks on YouTube). Dimensions (mm): 290 width x 680 length (830 including the length of the main gun) x 300 height. Motors: Nine Power Functions Motors in total (2 XL, 2 L and 5 M) Driving is done by the two XL Motors alone. Fully functioning headlights and turret lamp. Traversing bow machine gun. 360-degree traversing turret. Elevating and depressing main gun. Shooting mechanism which fires projectiles through the barrel. Recoil mechanism for the main gun. Spent shell casing ejection system - dispenses through the floor at the rear of the turret for collection (Not enough room for a proper collecting tray). Powered by one PF 7.4v Li-Po Battery Pack in the turret, and one AAA Battery Box in the hull. The AAA Battery Box is equipped with three 3.7v 10440 Li-Ion Batteries and three AAA dummy batteries which when fully charged give the vehicle 11.1v of power, though they need to be recharged somewhat more often than a usual 6x 1.2/1.5v Battery Box would. This is how such a heavy vehicle can drive so quickly. Another benefit of this power set up is I could take the advantages of programming in the SBrick (Which is how the firing mechanism works), whilst achieving almost the same voltage as the BuWizz, without spending so much money. The firing mechanism is quite powerful, and the footage doesn't really do it justice (probably in part due to the quiet sound), though its power is somewhat reduced by the length of the barrel and the small space inside the turret, still it is a good deal more powerful than most Lego Tank firing mechanisms on YouTube. It alone is controlled by three M motors. Speaking of the firing mechanism, this is the sole reason the model is so big. My firing mechanism as you have read is very functional, however it is also quite large and I needed more space inside the turret for it, as well as the Li-Po, SBrick and Elevation/Depression mechanism, and on top of that, room for it to recoil. The Comet already has quite a large turret in comparison to its hull, if I decide to build tanks with smaller turrets, they would be to an even larger scale. The tank can only turn reliably on smooth surfaces due to its immense weight, however it is at least able to. Powered by two SBricks, one for the turret and one for the hull. The placeholder three-cylinder tractor engine I had in the tank before I built one which looked more like the Rolls-Royce Meteor. I like my 'Expert Builder 1977-1980' style of Technic engines.The SBrick and Li-Po (Which was originally in the hull) can be clearly seen. Photo of myself next to the mid-development vehicle.   8. my setup (imgur) I just made an RC lego tank using lego technic, but when driving it's slightly turning to one side, everything is aligned properly and the center mass is correct, Could it be because one of the motors needs poles reversed to make the tank drive forwards? please help.
  9. An OLD MOC of mine, yet still one of my favorites. Name: HT-44 "Sledgehammer" Heavy tank Armament: one 120 mm cannon, and twin 10mm auto-cannons in a second turret Description: Aged Heavy tank that is just as effective today as it was 20 years ago. Its Armor is of a Spaced Chobham type, with ERA integrated in. It also has a Sapphire glass windshield for the driver. It has 4 crew members; a commander, a driver, a gunner, and a radio operator. Comments and crits are welcome.
  10. Hello everyone, my name is NABLACK and this is my first post. This Porsche Tiger tank is from an anime called Girls und Panzer. It's mostly a normal Porsche Tiger but with a function to boost the performance. And to achieve that "boosted performance" in my Lego Porsche Tiger, I stupidly put 12 PF L motors into it. I got a lot of inspiration from Sariel's Tiger XL and Tommy Styrvoky's Tiger (P), and a lot of thanks and respect to them. Maybe there's too much Tiger tanks around there, but since I was planning to achieve a different feature, I think it would be fine to have another. Hope you will enjoy this.   11. Hi, there When i was assembling a set, i got a question. I'm asking help to solve my curiosity, 1. This product, 57518(Technic, Link Tread Wide with Two Pin Holes) is hard, didn't bend easily even if i give it strength, and i found it, made of ABS material. 2. And next part 3873(Technic, Link Tread) is softer and and was bent easily compared to 57518 when i give a strength 3. BrickMania Track Links just added because look same material as No.2, Part 3873 I wonder why Lego made first one hard and second part light and soft is there any difference in purpose or usage between the two parts? and more, wanna know the raw material of 3873 briefly Need Help you Guys Thank you and have a nice day~

  13. The Type 99 A2 MBT is an improved version of the Type 99 MBT designed and manufactured in China by the local defense industry. Main armament of the Type 99A2 consists of one 125mm smoothbore gun with a thermal sleeve and fume extractor. The turret is fitted with a carousel automatic loader located below the turret. Smoke grenade dischargers are fitted on each side at the front of the turret. The hull and turret are of all-welded steel armour. The tank has also an improved composite armor over the front of the hull and turret to provide a higher level of protection against anti-tank guided missiles and rockets. It has a new Explosive Reactive Armour (ERA) able to defeat new generation of tandem warhead of anti-tank missiles which is mounted at the front and along the sides of the turret. The same ERA armour is fitted at the front of the hull. The Type 99A2 is motorized with a 150HB turbo-charged diesel engine developing 1,500 hp. Standard equipment of the Type 99A2 includes an NBC (Nuclear, Biological, Chemical) protection system, fire detection and suppression system, global positioning system and snorkel for deep fording. The Type 99A2 MBT is fitted with the 1A45T Fire Control System, A JD-3 infra-red jammer is mounted at the base of the top of the barrel to jam Anti-Tank Guided Missiles (ATGM) such as the Western HOT, TOW and MILAN. A laser jamming device is mounted on the turret roof.   14. The Type 10 (TK-X) is an advanced fourth-generation main battle tank (MBT) for the Japan Ground Self Defence Force (JGSDF). Main armament of the Type 10 MBT consists of a 120mm L44 smooth-bore gun. On each side of the turret is fitted a bank of electrically operated smoke grenade launchers that are coupled to the warning laser system. The hull and the turret are of all-welded steel amour including nano-crystal steel and fourth generation of modular ceramic composite armor which provides protection against rocket propelled grenade (RPG) rounds, HEAT projectiles, and anti-tank missiles. The add-on armour modules can be easily removed and installed to add/remove protection levels. The Type 10 MBT is powered by diesel engines producing 1200 hp. The Type 10 is also fitted with an Hydropneumatic Active Suspension which allows the driver to lower and raised the overall height of the vehicle to suit the tactical situation. The suspension can be also adjusted on the left or right and front or rear. The Type 10 MBT can run at a maximum speed of 70 km/h. Standard equipment of the Type 10 MBT includes automated fire suppression systems, NBC (Nuclear, Bacteriological and Chemical) protection, C4I (command, control, communications, computers, and intelligence) system, night-vision cameras and laser warning systems. The C4I system allows the tank to communicate and share information with other tanks in the GSDF network. The intelligence C4I system also enables the MBT to work together with the troops in the infantry's outdoor computer network, Regiment Command Control System (ReCS) during integrated combat operations.The Type 10 MBT is also fitted with a computerized fire-control system (FCS) that enable the vehicle to engage stationary and moving targets while the vehicle is stopped or moving. The Type 10 MBT is fitted with a digital battlefield management system (BMS) that provides increased situational awareness by displaying the required information.   15. The T-90M also nicknamed Proryv-3 is an upgraded variant of the export version of the Russian T-90MS Main Battle Tank (MBT). The T-90M Model 2017 is improved in term of protection, mobility and fire power. Main armament of the T-90M Model 2017 Proryv-3 consists of one 125 mm 2A46M-4 smoothbore gun able to fire standard ammunition but also anti-tank guided missiles (ATGM). At the rear of the commander hatch is mounted a remotely operated weapon station armed with a NSVT 12.7mm heavy machine gun. The T-90M features a new all-welded turret design protected by the Relikt ERA (Explosive Reactive Armour) armour fitted at the front and on each side of the turret. It features higher protection performance and serviceability compared with the Kontakt-5 ERA suite. The lower part of the turret on 360° is also protected by an RPG metal net to counter the threat of rocket propelled grenades. The T-90M Proryv-3 is motorized with a V-92S2 engine developing 1,000 hp. The T-90M is also protected by a soft- and hard-kill active protection systems (APS), which seems similar to the Afghanit system installed on the T-14 Armata. According to Russian military experts, the T-90M is also fitted with a modern fire-control system providing tank-type target detection at a range of 5,000 m by day, an enhanced dual-axis gun stabilizer and automatic target tracker that can operate in hunter-killer mode.   16. The Black Night Challenger 2 is an upgraded version of the British army Challenger 2 MBT. The new version of the Challenger 2 features many new improvements mainly mounted inside and outside of the turret. The new combat equipment of the Black Night MBT turret is equipped with a Safran Paseo commander’s independent sight, Leonardo thermal imager for the gunner, and Leonardo night sight DNVS 4 to provide hunter-killer thanks to thermal imagers for the gunner, commander, and driver. Uses the same turret as the standard Challenger 2 that is mounted in the center of the hull. Main armament includes consists of one BAE Systems L30A1 RO Defence 120 mm rifled tank gun fitted with a thermal sleeve, fume extractor and muzzle reference system. The layout of the Challenger 2 Black Night MBT is similar to the original Challenger 2 except for the turret which is equipped with additional systems including night vision equipment, active protection and laser warning systems. It also has CV-12 Condor V-12 12-cylinder diesel developing 1,200 hp, hydro-pneumatic suspension and hydraulic track tension system.   17. The year is 2035. War rages across Europe and Asia. NATO is struggling to keep the peace. The Middle East is riddled with pockets of biological radiation. To deal with the challenges and hazards associated with the new breed of warfare, NATO updated their legendary M1A3 Abrams Main Battle Tank. The resulting armored vehicle was designated the M1A4 SEPV5. Upgrades include a new unmanned turret, vehicle defense package, and heavy weapons suite. The most prominent feature of the new turret is the pair of "rabbit ear" missile tubes. The missiles are based off of the Titan MRPL Compact from ArmA 3. Mounted all around the main chassis are Active Protection System grenade launchers and their infrared targeting cameras. The APS launches chaff/smoke grenades to confuse guided anti-tank missiles. The tank's cannon has been upgraded to a 120mm cannon with a rate of fire of about 15 rounds per minute. At the end of the barrel is the gunner's primary sight, with a muzzlebreak fitted to keep muzzle flash from interfering with the gunner's sight picture. The 7.62 coaxial machine gun has been replaced with a 12.7mm (50 Caliber) machine gun. The driver's hatch on this tank has been replaced with an aftermarket one, as the standard version does not have any periscopes fitted. It appears that the crew of this tank are fans of classic PC gaming. Looking at the rear of the tank, we see the rear mounted CROWS turret. This is an automated weapons system designed to protect the tank from rear attacks. It features a mounted M2 50 caliber machine gun, MAAWS anti-tank missile launcher, and two blocks of tear-gas launchers. The writing reads: How's My Driving? 1-800-Screw-You. The interior of the tank has been upgraded with more controls and sensor screens for the commander and gunner. Additional rounds for the MAAWS and boxes of 50 caliber Raufoss rounds can also be seen.   18. The C2 Ariete MBT has been developed at the end of Cold War, to replace Leopard 1 and M60. After an initial offer, Italy decided to achieve the development of a battle tank by financing its industries. The main armament of the C2 Ariete is a 120 mm smooth-bore cannon, which is able to fire APFSDS-T (Armor-Piercing Fin-Stabilized Discarding Sabot Tracer) and HEAT (High-Explosive Anti-Tank). The MRS (Muzzle Reference System) system is also present on the muzzle (on the end of the barrel). There are 8 GALIX launchers for 80 mm smoke bombs (4 per side of the turret) capable of firing FUM-B grenades which generate an effective smoke screen both in the visible and in the IR. The front and side armor of Ariete is made of steel and composite materials; the turret is built with the same technique as the hull and has, on top, additional armor to protect the crew from missiles with a high profile flight path. The C2 Ariete is equipped with the TURMS OG-I4 L3 system by Galilelo Avionica (periscopes, COSMO MP501, meteorological and ballistic sensors, gyroscopic device, MRS, coaxial auxiliary telescope). The Ariete is equipped with NBC system. It also has anemometer, RALM receiver, Radio antennas attached to digital radios of the SINCGARS type, PSO Additional Armor Pack, new 1600hp IVECO engine, Integration of SICCONA and an APS of type "SCUDO". For photos, see the Imgur gallery: https://imgur.com/gallery/rBwm0Pi Hello, My newest Tank is a model of the British Vickers M1936, a member of a line commercial light Tanks developed by British arms manufacturer Vickers-Armstrongs from 1933-1938, designed for the export market. The Vickers M1936 was sold to the Netherlands, and as such earned its nickname 'Dutchman'. The vehicle also saw service as a training platform for the British Army during the Second World War. Building Instructions can be found on Rebrickable: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-51517/Tarix819/vickers-m1936-light-tank/#admin Now, usually, I include a firing mechanism in my Tanks, as I had done with my A34 Comet back in April and my Vickers Mk. E (B) in August, however this was the first vehicle I intended on designing building instructions for, so I wanted to keep it simple. Whilst the Tank was far easier to build than the Vickers Mk. E (B), the instructions were somewhat challenging to make on Studio 2.0. This one took less than a month to build, compared to the almost four months it took me to complete the Vickers Mk. E (B). This is probably due to the greater simplicity. Features: -Weight: 4.9kg -Scale: 1:8 -Pieces: 4855 -Suspension: Coil-spring bogies, or, the less specific name, Horstmann. The 9.5L soft shock-absorbers give the vehicle a sort of 'hop-along' impression when travelling at full speed, however they are almost at the limit of their strength. -Two AA battery boxes each with three 3.7v Li-Ions and three dummy batteries, giving an output of 11.1v per track, and ultimately making the vehicle incredibly fast. This is also because the drive wheels have 10-stud diameters. -Seven motors in total: Two PF XL for each track, and three PF M for turret traverse, gun elevation and the engine. -The engine is a realistic model of the Meadows ESTE 6-Cylinder engine used on the real Vickers M1936 and many of the interwar British Light Tanks. -The vehicle has functional Headlights and Rearlights. -The turret can traverse 360 degrees, although rather slowly, as it is a one-man crank-operated turret. -The main .303 Vickers Machine Gun can be elevated and depressed. -On each side of the Tank there are track tensioners for tensing each track. -Detailing; exhaust, fire extinguisher, periscopes, vision slits and covers, handles, doors, vents, etc.
  20. And here comes the latest one: the TX-225 Katyoucha, directly derived from the Occupier tank. TX-225 Katyoucha by Veynom, on Flickr When the Empire asked for a combat vehicle with superior firepower to support first-line troops from behind, Rothana Heavy Engineering decided to modify its somewhat popular TX-225 Occupier by adding a rocket launcher pod on the rear platform. The idea was to boost its tank production and benefit from the existing investments made for the Occupier. The impressive rocket launcher is able to fire its 16 rockets under 14 seconds if necessary with a deadly precision thanks to its mounted sensors. Results were highly impressive and the Katyoucha was up to its promises, able to smash opponent's strongholds, positions, or even any facility with accurate effectiveness and a frightening noise crushing enemies' moral. Unfortunately, the Katyoucha suffered one deadly operational flow: reloading the rockets is slow process, mostly manual. Moreover, the TX-225 could only carry a few extra rockets under the platform and required an additional ammunition carrier to follow. In the end and give these operational limitations, the Empire selected the famous AT-AT and it sounded the end of the Katyoucha. This was a hard blow for Rothana Heavy Engineering. It is 2 studs longer and external similarities with the set are purposely made, in order to align the Katyoucha with Occupier tanks during upcoming Lego events. The Boston and Albany had two wheel-arrangements that were used in their Suburban tank locomotives the 2-6-6t: In 1906 the Boston & Albany received ten 2-6-6T locomotives built by Schenectady followed by eight more in 1907 designated Class L-1a and L-1b. The tank engines had 20x24 inch cylinders, 63-inch drivers, and operated off 185 lbs. of boiler pressure. During 1928-1931 Lima rebuilt the engines with superheaters, increased the cylinder bore to 23 inches, and the boiler pressure to 200 lbs. The rebuilding produced a substantially more powerful engine. The rebuilt locomotives became Class L-3 and L-3a and when 4-8-2's were delivered in 1940 as that class, they were reclassified D-2a and D-2b. After that, the B&A came out with a class of 4-6-6t locomotives: In need of specialized locomotives for its Boston commuter service, the Boston & Albany purchased five 4-6-6T locomotives from Alco in 1928. The locomotives were designed for rapid acceleration, adequate power for heavy trains of up to 20 cars and perhaps most uniquely – to be operated equally well in either forward or reverse. Not having to turn the locomotives at the end of the line saved space and cost and also a lot of time. The locomotives bore a strong resemblance to the New York Central's Hudson in the front, with a small attached "tender" behind the cab riding on a shared 6-wheel trailing truck. Coal and water capacity was adequate for the commuter runs. The D1-A class served the railroad and Boston's workers well for two decades before being replaced by diesels. Although these locomotives were unique to the B&A / NYC, there were similar designs used on other railroads with the same needs.   22. Hello, Here is my latest model, which is of a Light Infantry Tank known as the Vickers Mk. E or Vickers 6-Ton, originally designed as a private project by the British arms manufacturer, Vickers-Armstrongs back in 1928. The design was rejected by the British Army, however was bought and built under licence in great quantities by the Soviet Union, Finland, Poland, China, Bolivia and others. The vehicle was used as the basis for the famous Soviet T-26 and Polish 7TP tanks. The model I have built is the production Type B version. Whereas the Vickers Mk. E (A) had twin turrets with machine guns mounted in each one, the Vickers Mk. E (B) had a single two-man turret with a 3-pounder (47mm) short gun and a coaxial .303 Vickers Gun. Images of the model can be found at my Imgur post: https://imgur.com/gallery/va9A4IT YouTube Video: Here is a list of features: -Scale: 1:8. -Weight: 6.8kg. -Motors: 9, four PF-XL for driving, two PF-M for the firing mechanism, one PF-M each for the engine, turret traverse and gun control. -The hull is powered by twin AA battery boxes each fitted with three 3.7v Li-Ion 14500 batteries and three dummy batteries, giving a total output of 22.2v for the hull, which is how such a heavy vehicle drives around without many issues. The turret is powered by a single 7.4v Li-Po. -Unlike my A34 Comet, which was driven only from the rear, the Vickers is driven from the front and rear, vastly improving mobility. On smooth ground it can neutral steer, on rough ground it can turn in a large radius. -There are two SBricks fitted in the hull, and one fitted in the turret. -Track tensioners are mounted on the side to increase or reduce track tension. This makes removing the tracks rather easy. -The removable engine deck allows access to the AA battery boxes and the straight-six Armstrong-Siddeley Puma engine, which looks and functions like the real one. -The turret can traverse 360 degrees without any snags. -Six different hatches can be opened on the turret for maintenance. -The gun can be elevated and depressed to a limited extent, the coaxial Vickers Gun follows suite. -The main gun can fire and is rather powerful (More than my A34 Comet). The projectiles fire through the actual barrel and look like real shells rather than just regular technic liftarms. -The firing mechanism automatically reloads each shot, the spent shell casing is ejected into a collecting tray at the rear of the turret for retrieval. -When firing, the gun recoils in a realistic manner. -The magazine can be removed for resupplying, and can hold up to four shots (four shells and four shell casings). -The suspension system is Leaf-Spring Bogies and is quite unique - I used lego 1x8 tiles to function exactly as leaf-springs do in real life and it works a treat. -The model features white headlights and red rearlights for a nice effect. -Other decorative features include a fire extinguisher, shovel, spare roadwheel, rearview mirror, exhaust pipe, radiator and vents. Building Experience: This model was quite challenging to build, with most of the initial problems caused by the suspension and the turret. Firstly, on the real Vickers, two bars run width-ways along the chassis to keep each bogie securely attached, however at this scale in Lego it is not possible due to the flexibility of Lego pieces. It took about thirty revisions of the suspension system to stop it from collapsing when driving at full-speed, and oddly enough the actual leaf-spring part was to begin with the most reliable part of each bogey. Thankfully, the final revision fixed this problem completely, though I now understand why the British army rejected such a design . . . The turret also gave me issues, mostly because of how small it is, with the firing mechanism barely being able to fit inside, with room to elevate, depress and recoil about two-studs' length. On top of this I needed room for the elevation/depression mechanism, the battery box, SBrick, motors and finally room to remove and insert the magazine. I fixed all of these problems to a certain degree, with the only issue being inserting and removing the magazine is a bit fiddly, however I am willing to accept this minor inconvenience for what is otherwise a very functional and decently reliable turret.
