    [MOC] Episode 1 diorama model

Hello there, some time ago I started to build a Star Wars diorama. It is the first diorama of this series, because I want to build all episodes. In this model are two main scenes of the first episode. On one side you see young Anakin screwing his Pod Racer on Tatooine. On the other side, you can see the battle on Naboo between Qui-Gon-Jinn and Darth Maul: If you are interested in the model, you can check it out on rebrickable at the following link: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-108496/SimonsBrickWorld/the-phantom-menace-episode-i-scenery/#details There I have posted the model with instructions.

[Factions Ep. 1] Luxury on Commenor

*Your entry has earned 10XP* Previously in SoNE =============== It’s been awhile. These days the Empire – sorry, Remnant, feels a lot smaller. “Ambassador” Beltar they call me now. It’s a title may not be deserved, but it has got its benefits. The Empire has seen better days, but perhaps the best is still to come… as we redeliver peace, justice and security to the galaxy. Obviously the New Republic doesn’t condone such behavior, but they are too busy dealing with people like me. I spend quite a bit of my time negotiating hyperspace routes and supply trades. Absolutely awful. But, it puts me in the same room with some of the most powerful people in the galaxy, which is a real advantage for some of my, “research”. Many troopers went missing after Endor, even more after Jakku. I’ve got a list of thousands of soldiers that are MIA, and I want to close that book. Unfortunately, because of the lax policies of the previous Empire, markets such as Zygeria flourish, and I’ve seen all too many Imperial faces in there. Contacts in other governments have been of use to help me cross reference what happened to their P.O.W.s, and give me leads to where others may be. The uniform helps me find them. Still, I miss the bucket over my head, down in the dirt on the front lines, fighting with friends. Friends… most of my old acquaintances are long dead, but a few made it out all right in the end. Some had given their lives to save mine, I owe it to them to save others. This apartment may be one of the finest in the city, but it feels like a prison cell. Security has been tight. But it’s got a view that I would have never gotten on my old mud ball of a home. Unfortunately, it’s a view of Commenor on lockdown recently with all the riots. But, there’s always something to do. Someone’s got to keep the supplies moving. Why does it have to be me? I don’t know. “Sir, Lt. Hudson and the New Republic Delegate are requesting your presence. Your ship is being prepared at once, ISD Mercy will be accompanying you. The council expects a report in three cycles.” Consolation has been surrendered the New Republic because of its advanced capabilities, so I have to do with the last few Destroyers off the assembly line, which are horrendous after all the New Republic limitations and restrictions. I’ve heard a rumor that Kuat Drive Yards may be going under soon with all the bad publicity. There have also been many security breaches recently. The Rebel Alliance may now be a legitimate government, however its history of guerilla tactics inspires some to action, requiring me to have a security detail despite being a low level target. See you around, soldier. === Pics Well it truly has been awhile for me, life has been busy to say the least, but it seems to be back on track for now. This go around, I'm going to have a different take on how Beltar's story evolves. I'd like to do more world building, less front line battles, and find a new direction for stories. I've got like 4 half complete builds on the table, so hopefully I'll be able to churn them out soon. Anyways, hope to see where this all goes from here! Beltar

    [MOC] C-9979 Landing Craft

The Separatist C-9979 Craft is one of the few Star Wars ships that doesn't have a LEGO model, years ago I set out to make one, and have been updating it ever since. This model has gone through many iterations, but I'm very confident in the current design. Hope you like it! YouTube Instructions
  4. This is my rendition of the famous climax of the first prequel. Darth Maul goes to battle Obi Wan and his master, Qui-Gon Jinn. The pictures you see are only a quarter of the room because I don't have enough pieces to finish the moc, I wish I did :) I wanted to try and make this moc the closest I could to the actual room from the movie. Please let me know how I did and things I can do to improve. I love your feedback. Thanks, MovieMocs Real scene VS Lego Real scene VS Lego

  6. Hi guys, here is a little MOC I made of my favourite star wars poster, the Episode 1 teaser poster entitled 'Every Saga Has A Beginning' DSC_2328 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr I loved the poster, thought it was so evocative and I wanted to try and recreate it in lego as a 3d Model. 2016-11-21_02-01-55 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr The shadow was a bit tricky at first but I am pretty happy with how it turned out - if anyone has any other ideas on how to improve it I would love to know! Episode 1 - teaser by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr Anyway, there isnt much to this post as there is really only one angle this MOC works! Hope you enjoy and any feedback, comments and advice welcome. Thanks

    [MOC] The Battle Of Concordia

Hey there everyone. This is a short video of A MOC depicting the days of the battle for Mandalore. Today we have the first part of a short 3 part series loosely based of the Ahsoka Novel. Hope you enjoy. Dont forget to like, comment and subscribe for more.
  8. This ship is one of my favourite ships from Star Wars, it's the first ship you'll ever see while watching the saga! It's 292 pieces and comes with 4 stickers on the front area. The escape pod below the cockpit will detach, and the landing gear can be tilted up or down. Overall it's quite a beautiful ship! [LDD MOC] Anakin Skywalker's Podracer

So after hearing we'd be getting another version of Anakin Skywalker's Podracer in 2016, I decided to go ahead and make my own rendition of it. This model has 253 pieces, and many features such as a detachable stand, rotating engines, and detachable cables. Minifigures include Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Padme Amidala, and a Pit Droid. Additional pictures as well as the .lxf file can be found in my brickshelf folder: http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=558204 (will be private for a few hours until site admins approve it). Any comments, criticisms, or praise is encouraged and welcomed. Also, I would like for this to be indexed if it is allowed to be.
  11. This brickfilm animation "LEGO Minecraft - Episode 1: The Forest" is based on the hit game Minecraft from Mojang. This was my one of my first animations and was part of my coursework for college. Steve's adventure begins, collect resources and build a shelter before the Creepers come out at night. Please leave your comments and thoughts down below.
  12. For the 11-th TechLUG Star Wars contest devoted to the LightSaber Duel, I have choosen the final fight between Obi-Wan and Darth Maul at the end of the Phantom Menace. This because I like particularly Darth Maul with his double lightsaber and his unusual and choregraphic way to fight The reference scene I have tried to represent is the one where the two characters are fighting to death in front of the huge and deep well. Moreover, into this scene, the two fighters hold their lightsaber using only one hand whereas most of the time they use both hands which is more difficult to do with minifigs. THE ROOM AND THE DEEP WELL I have spent some time to build this scene including the deep well, the floor and the backward wall in order to keep everything into 12 studs times 12 studs as required by the contest : the final version contains something like 800 parts. Rendering the deep well is not so easy because it is really deep and I did not want to do a one meter high tube or a waterpool like one. Talking about water pool, this picture of the making of is interesting because it shows a lots of details not easy to get into the video and because it shows that only the deep well is virtual. So, for the deep well, I decided to build a 8 studs high half-cylinder on top of a 3 studs high funnel in order to use a forced perspective effect. The wall of the cylindric well is made with black 1x2 tiles with grille fixed on dark gray bricks in order to have a striped texture. Note that the well is slightly tilted relative to the square base to align the white vertical band with the door of the room. The cylindric wall of the well : The bottom of thr well is made of 3x3 plates without corner stacked verticaly and forming a half-circle fixed by circular briks in front and back by an elastic; the diameter of the circle is obtained by intercaling a 1x3 plates between two 3x3 plates. The bottom of the well and the base : The well and the floor are included into a 12x12x12 studs3 cube onto a 12x12x2 studs3 decorated base. I have choosen to close the 3 other faces of the cube adding some functional elements like air or fluid tubes and some duct to render its bulk shape. Backward face and one of the lateral face of the cube : The floor is made of two decorated arches for the border of the well, of bricks and plates lying on top of the cube. Finally, the backward wall is made with 2 panels 13 studs high slightly sloped back making nearly 45 degrees from one to the next. The central panel is build by 2x4 dark grey tiles shifted in order to render the white bach lightning. The left panel includes the source of the force field and a control panel fixed on a trapezoidal black plate. The right panel is made with 3 columns of tiles slightly shifted vertically to follow the floor profile. The 3 panels of the backward wall : For the back side of the wall, I have indroduced some decorative element in order to not just have a black back. The whole building splited and built, with an animated gif to turn around it. . Some pictures of the MOC in real bricks ; THE CHARACTERS When Obi-Wan enters the room to kill Darth Maul, his master Qui-Gon Jinn is dying on the floor and, because there was some room remaining, I decided to include him. For Darth Maul and Qui-Gon Jinn, I have taken the minifigs of the Sith infiltrator set using old brown hair for the Jedi instead of the reddish one. For Obi-Wan, I used the minifig of the podracers set taking the hair of agent Charge corresponding more to the movie. . THE SCENE Some pictures speak finally better than a long speech : Close views of the duel Obi-Wan is raging against Darth Maul but takes care of the Dark Side Some other views : Larger images can be found into my Flickr album : https://www.flickr.c...57646030400841/ Animated gifs showing the building of the different elements can be found into this brickshelf folder : http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=546082 Thank you for having read (or not) this long presentation .

    [MOC] KV9T9-B Wasp Podracer

Hello I have some new Star Wars stuff for you. It's one of these non-known Podracers from the big Boonta-Eve-Classic. The KV9T9-B Wasp by Clegg Holdfast: Want more? Enjoy the details on flickr and MOCpages! Stay crætive! Jonas
  14. Hi @ all, soon, very soon, there will be the Lego Fanwelt 2012 in Cologne, Germany. I presented to you some months ago a sneak peek from my layout for this year: Boonta Eve Classic (Podrace from Episode 1). Today I want to show you two of my new podracers (what sense makes an arena without "modern formula 1 cars?). I tried to build them as sleek and "round" as they are in the film, and I think it works well from what I can do with Lego bricks:: Gasganos podracer: Second image: Aldar Beedos Podracer: So what do you think about them? I wait for comments..(-; greetings Hendrik
