After said time expires, the treasury could be scrutinized, and any need for further taxation considered. "As for Royal Properties, I suggest that we send out a letter signed by the members of the Colonial Council to every settlement of Eslandola, asking for voluntary aid for the construction of three Royal Properties for the faction - the first to be completed between the first of June and the last of August, the second between the first of September and the last of November, and the third between the first of December and the last of February of the year 618. If they could be completed sooner - even better! But I do believe that is a modest goal to aim for at the moment, given that all our citizens have their own stories and wallets to be looking after as well." Result: Passed (12 'Aye's, 2 'Nay's, 1 Abstention, and 4 chaps on vacation) Proposal 1-B: We, the Colonial Council of Eslandola, enact the following funding of properties licensed by any Eslandolan in any Eslandolan settlement in the Colonies from January 17th, 617 AE to April 17th, 617 AE: - 15 Dubloons for every small property - 30 Dubloons for every medium property - 50 Dubloons for every large property - 500 Dubloons for every royal property (only 150 Dubloons for private palaces) - 15 Dubloons for prospecting - 20 Dubloons for setting up any mine Result: passed (11 for, 10 against) Proposal 1-C: We, the Colonial Council of Eslandola, enact the following funding of ships licensed by any Eslandolan from January 17th, 617 AE to April 17th, 617 AE: - 10 Dubloons for ships rated class 0 or class 1 - 25 Dubloons for ships rated class 2 - 45 Dubloons for ships rated class 3, or 80 Dubloons if sold to Eslandola - 75 Dubloons for ships rated class 4, or 150 Dubloons if sold to Eslandola - 100 Dubloons for ships rated class 5 or higher, or 200 Dubloons if sold to Eslandola Result: passed (20 for, 1 against, 0 abstentions) Proposal 2: All (active) Eslandolan members co-operate to build at least 3 Royal Properties, licenced by Eslandola. Until such time as the first Royal Eslandolan property may be licenced, or for the next two months (whichever ends sooner), I would propose that we put in place, - A 20% tax on build submittal income, - And a 10% tax on town banks, as per the good Governor's proposal. After said time expires, the treasury could be scrutinized, and any need for further taxation considered. Result: passed (12 for, 3 against, 6 abstentions) Proposal 3: Please vote on the new salaries for the members of the Colonial Council: 3a) Don't alter current salaries (50 DBs for Admius Legistrad, 25 DBs for members of the council) 3b) Reduce salaries as suggested by Román Fontonajo (15 DBs for Admius Legistrad, 10 DBs for members of the council) 3c) Reduce salaries based on the suggestion from Governor Damaximus (10 DBs for Admius Legistrad, 5 DBs for members of the council) 3d) Eliminate salaries entirely as suggested by Aaron van der Meede. 3e) Members may voluntarily reduce their own salaries on an individual basis. 10. Rules for Voting This thread is for votes only! Comments, discussion, and questions about voting can be done in the PTV Discussion Topic. Members that joined after the start of the contest (August 13th, 2015) are not allowed to vote (unless you entered the contest). This is to prevent fake members that are created only to vote once. Sorry if you aren't a fake member, you may not vote, but sadly we need to take these steps. For each category, you have up to three votes. You may vote 1 point for three entrees, 2 points for one entry and 1 point for another, or 3 points for one entry. You don't have to vote for all categories, and you don't have to use all three votes for each category. It's up to you! All of your votes must be in one post. You may not vote for your own entry In the case a of a tie, we will check who got more staff votes in the pre-selection. If there is still a tie, my dice will pick the winner randomly. The voting closes on November 3 at the same time this topic was created. If a vote doesn't follow the rules stated above or the format below, we won't count the vote. 13. MODEL TEAM VOTING TOPIC This topic will be used as a voting topic for the Model Team contest. VOTING RULES AND REGULATIONS Voting scheme uses the old Formula One style point distribution (10, 6, 4, 3, 2 and 1 POINT) You need to assign 10 points to the 1st place, 6 points to the second and so one. You need to vote for 6 ENTRIES (no more, no less) Clearly mention the ENTRY NUMBER and the NUMBER OF POINTS per entry that you vote on. If you joined Eurobricks after the start of the contest, you can be banned from voting (when vote rigging is suspected) You may NOT vote for your own entry. In the event of a tie for any place the Technic Staff will decide which entry wins. Our decision is final. Questions about voting can be asked in the Model Team Contest Information. For example (entries randomly chosen for example): --- comments can be placed above the votes 5: 10 (no comments here please) 6: 6 1: 4 9: 3 7: 2 3: 1 Or comments can be placed below the votes ---- NOTES Please use this exact notation NUMBER: VOTES (with a colon). Please use this thread only for voting. You may explain why you made your choice, but any general discussion should take place in the Model Team Contest Information Topic. Comments should be placed ABOVE or BELOW the votes. Please don't comment on the same line as the votes. VOTING CRITERIA The idea about this contest is to create a Model Team model which reflects the old school Model Team style using a modern approach. Indirectly this means you need to look at the following criteria: Design Functionality Color scheme Parts used Playability ENTRIES All entries can be found in the entry thread: Please visit the entry topic to see all entries. 1. 1980 Red Trans Am 2. 14. It's time for you to cast your votes for your favourite entries in .... The Turtle Insanity Contest! The response to this contest has been phenomenal! Thank you to everyone who took the trouble to enter. Now we need you to vote for your favourites. The top vote-getters will be placed on a shortlist to be judged by a panel of experts from The LEGO Group. Entries are indexed by thumbnail in the post below. We recommend reading through the Entry Thread before voting, as many entries have features which will not be apparent from the thumbnails. If your entry has not been indexed, then it has been ruled ineligible. Common reasons include two or more entries in one post (first only is indexed), entries clearly based on Licensed themes, or coloured backgrounds. Use this thread only for voting. Please use the Discussion Thread for questions relating to the voting rules or process. Remember, you're voting for the turtles you'd most like to be featured in the poster. Voting will close on 24 August 2014. So Get Voting! Voting Rules This public vote will be used to create a shortlist which will be submitted to The LEGO Group for judging by an expert panel. Only Eurobricks members who registered before the start of the contest (registered on or before 14 July 2014) are eligible to vote. Voting is allowed immediately and will close on 24 August 2014 at 23.59 CET. You may cast a total of 9 (nine) votes. You may cast a maximum of 3 votes for any one entry. You may cast a maximum of 3 votes for any one entrant, regardless of how many times they have entered. You may not vote for yourself. Any member who infringes these rules will have ALL their votes disqualified and will not be eligible for the voting raffle. Any attempt at vote-rigging will be dealt with harshly. Eligible votes will be entered into a voting raffle with a chance to win a further prize. The Eurobricks staff and The LEGO Group reserve the right to adjust these rules as necessary. If there is a tie, or any dispute, the EB staff decision will be final. Example vote: The Prizes 1st prize - Signed Exo Suit set and exclusive T shirt 2nd prize - Signed Exo Suit set 3rd prize - Exclusive t-shirt Runners-up (the number yet to be decided) will be included on a poster. The poster will be sent to all of those whose turtle makes the poster and will also be distributed as an exclusive gift at the Skærbæk Fan Event in Denmark in September. All eligible entries will be entered in a raffle for a signed Exo Suit set (excluding the winners who receive a set). We ask that you please keep the set built in case further photography is required. The Jury will consist of: Peter Reid, creator of the Exo Suit Mark Stafford, the LEGO Designer who created the final model Karen Frost Sørensen, Project Manager, LEGO Ideas.
