Hello! This time I reworked the 6254 Rocky Reef set for the Classic Pirates tournament. There are two pirates and a skeleton in the set. The island and the cave were once inhabited by natives, but the pirates felt it would be a great island to hide their treasure and took over the place. The only traces of the ancient inhabitants are the small totem detail left at the back of the cave and the skeleton in the cave. Of course, what pirates would they be if they didn't have a little place to hide an emerald right now. The roof of the cave can also be removed for playability, and there is a small jetty on the island, if you bring supplies for the two pirates by boat, you can untie it. Instagram Flickr

RC Rock crawler. Features AWD drive without differentials using 69730 "Large angular position motor"(As it has realy good torque), Steered by L-motor, and springless suspension (concept by superkoala). Lack of differentials gives nice off-road perfomance, but the crawler has big steering radius due to that.42114 C-model. [ENG] I made another OSP (Old Set Pirated) set, this time from the world of Star Wars. The original set was called "Ambush on Mandalore Battlepack". It's a small set, and at first I tried to stay strictly within the framework of creating the same one, but pirated. But in the end these early versions were absolutely not to my liking. So I went a bit away from the original and increased the size of the set a bit. I replaced the andalorians with pirates and soldiers. For the more observant, you may notice that all the figures are female. I thought this might give it a little extra, I hope you like it. Hello All! It is winter time, so I am bit more busy on Legoing. After seeing, that @Didumos69 started his 4x4 buggy project, I looked into a bit deeper the Ultra 4 racing, and the rigs been driven in this extreme events. Finally the video, what I linked to his topic, triggered the work on another MOC: the Ultra 4 buggy. Here is another video to see the interesting bits of independent suspension system on this beast: Still, I might end up with IFS (independent front suspension) and solid axle with torque bar for the rear, but the body is heavily inspired by the Lasernut buggy. Parameters: 2x L motors 1x servo motor AAA battery box - in order to be replace ability with BuWizz in case IR control Let's look at into the progress a bit, maybe it is interesting to read. I started on 28. november with LDD model. To set the proportions, and the body ideas, I usually place the essential parts free in space first. Check the real inspiration thing and the very first sketch: After that I added the electronic parts, to check the necessary minimum space. (Unfortunately Stud.io has corrupt models, so some cover parts of the motors are just not present.) At this stage, I built the front axle, to see how can I integrate the steering. The answer is: massive fail. So back to drawing table, I deleted the 5x7 frame, and started to figure out, how to connect the needed fixation points for swingarms, servo. Due to this, the model gets more complex than I thought, but buildability is always first! I recommend to check meanwhile IRL building too, or at least stop by and thinking about how to add the related parts. I was hopeing for a simple MOC, but I ended up already a pretty complex assembly, so I made each step with double check. Later on, I will try to add groups in LDD to represent the buildability order too. So far the front module with steering and IFS is ready, the middle module is almost done, I am wondering about interchangable solid axle or independent solution for the rear - not sure yet. Also the color is to be decided yet, as the springs type as well (soft or hard). I think if soft ones will be OK, than I go for white body, as it presents the "rollcage" better. In case the yellow hard shock absorbers will be needed, of course the only choice is: full MEAN black body. This picture shows the advantage of the white body, and also a comparison for tyre types: 3740 on the left, 45982 on the right, both on 56908 wheels. So far 407 parts, and I guess it is about 70-75% ready. I need to figure out how to fix the roof, and create a solid, but easily disconnectable rear module. Necessary parts are ordered, so real build pics might come in couple weeks first. And how is the road presence? I guess it will be pretty much like a punch in the face. p.s.: Yet another WIP, I hope for long winter nights, to finish at least some of my unfinished projects... -
Hi to all fans of Lego! Today I want to share with you my new work - Rock Rod Rock Rod - it's the crawler, on the construction of which I was inspired by the fierce custom projects from HAUK Designs. Especially, where, no matter how on the crawler to run a fresh RC DC chequered flag STT PRO rubber wheels and BuWizz. At the output was a relatively light on the portal bridges crawler. At the heart of the model is also the philosophy of placing motors on bridges, to reduce the center of gravity and minimize weight and inertia of the body. Technical characteristics of the model: Weight (together with a technic-figure) - 817 g. Number of parts - 617 pcs. Steering - Servo motor Movement - two L motors Power / Control - BuWizz Even the "sofa" trial allows us to understand that additions such as non-standard tires and BuWizz significantly expand the scope of use and possibilities of radio controlled Lego models. It remains to wait until the snow comes down, to ride Rock Rod on the rocks. But you can do this before me, by building the Rock Rod yourself by free video instruction. I plan to test the model in the spring on a severe off-road. I will be very glad to hear from you any advice or wish for the completion of both the technical component of the model and its appearance. Ahead is still half a year :) -
I realized recently that it has been far too long since I’ve done a build for the Isles of Aura. I also have been wanting to get to the tree tutorial that I promised for the trees in my Allanar Forest build. So I decided to hit two birds with one stone, and make an IoA build with the tree on it. Keep your eyes out for the tutorial which will be coming later this week! Dear Journal, I took advantage of the pleasant weather today to explore among some smaller islands not far from home. While I have been to all of them before, you never know what sorts of new plants or animals one might find. Hi, this weekend I played a bit with an idea of non-uniform rock technique. It might be already well know, so in such case sorry about my ignorance :) I just wanted to make a rock from smaller blocks, where each can be positioned/rotated freely. Unfortunately I quite soon ran out of some essential bricks so I was unable to build a "wall" but just a somewhat bigger stone. Hope you like it. Ahoy there, and welcome to Jose's Inn, located on the scenic Skull Rock boardwalk just a stone throws away from the pirate port itself! This Inn has all amenities of (both ship-or-land-based) home, such as five cozy beds and a large wine cellar stocked with all best ale's, beers, wines and spirits. The food served is guaranteed by our cook Dan "Dysentery" McGee to be the best served in all the world's navies, with no-maggots* crackers a staple of the pre-dinner meal! We are also proud to feature twice-a-week amusements by "Davy Jones and the Cursed Immortals" as our house band on Monday and Friday nights. Come around for such hearty songs such as "Point of Know Return", "Wooden Ships", "Octopus's Garden", with "Hotel in Tortuga" as their usual closer. The rear of the tavern, with the crow's nest-like lookout on top. Inside and upstairs are the (cost is per night) beds. Downstairs is the tavern area. So come on down to Jose's Inn, where our famous waitstaff (Manfred the waiter on left, Rosemary the barkeep on right) will treat you like old friends! (*Crackers may or may not contain maggots. Resulting disease may vary; Check with your local barber for more details on whether the crackers may be safe for you!) Davy Jones and the Undead Immortals Band are, from left to right: - Cpt. Vanderdecken, on drums (cursed God on a trip round the horn of Africa, so God cursed him) - Corporal Punishment, on guitar (from a Spanish expedition to El Dorado) - Major Paine, on bass guitar (officer from the English Civil War) - Davy Jones, on vocals (made a deal with goddess Calypso to ferry souls to underworld) NOTE: Their instruments are made from ectoplasm and not visible to living beings, thus they are not visible here. MODEL NOTES: This tavern idea came to me in early February, and was built in late May, and is based off set 31109's B-model with the printed sign from set Pirates of Barracuda Bay (from the Ideas set 21332 number . I thought I should build accommodations for my pirate crews upon arriving at Skull Rock, and it will hook into the boardwalk via clips on both sides of the model's dock easily. The song list is the one I thought long and hard about... thinking of REAL songs with pirate or ship themes, however slight, was hard! However, the easiest one to add was because of @Professor Thaum and his awesome pirate-y rendition of Hotel California, as seen in the post linked to above in the actual song list and again here, because I love it so much. Hello! It was my first MOC after switching from Lego Digital Designer to Studio. That was time, when I can learned how Studio works. Brave warriors are taking a rest on their post. I wanted to create some different areas based on the four elements represented by the four main elves, I've mixed parts from all kinds of different sets to create these places. This one is the earth themed home for Farran the Earth Elf. I wanted it to be part cottage, part treehouse. It's mostly parts from The Elves Treetop Hideaway and the Ewok Village sets. I attached my waterfall cave alongside the treehouse I also made a fire themed volcano cave with a tall treehouse/tower neighbouring it. It's mostly made from a Lego Friends set that has a cabin and a waterfall. I kept the cabin and built the tower above it and changed the waterfall into a volcano. I've created a workshop for the Air Elf Aira in one section of the tower with a bedroom above it, an observing platform with a telescope above that and a turret room on the top. The webisodes show that Azari the fire elf is homeless and just crashes with the other elves, but I've given her a warm place to sleep inside the volcano. I kept the camp beds in the cabin for the humans to sleep in when they visit Elvendale. And here's some random pictures..

Hello everyone, I'm making a kinda large Diorama at the moment. It's going to be 4 48x48 baseplates big (for now, I might make it bigger when this is done). I don't have a lot of experience with making large MOCs, so any help is appreciated. For now I'm working on 2 of the baseplates to make a sort of mountain/cliff area, with either a watchtower or fortified barracks on top, not sure yet. But as of now, I don't have a lot. I'm going to post updates here, not regularly because it's probably going to take a few years to finish (I need to save up for a long time if I want to buy new bricks, so yeah). Anyway, here is the start: Here is some rockwork, I am happy with how it looks. And here is how everything is supported. It is pretty sturdy. But if you guys have tips/ideas on how to make this better, I'd be more then happy to hear them! And this is the 2 baseplates I was talking about. The black minifigbases are where the path is going, just as a reminder. Anyway, hope you like it so far, and I hope it's interesting to watch an average MOCer build something this big

This MOC is inspired by Tim Cameron's 700HP rig called "ShowTime". A one-off custom built rig made specifically for "Southern style Rock Bouncing" events. These machines are all about insane horsepower, near impossible climbs and pure strength. The chassis design uses over 60m of steel tubing as is often criticized as being ugly and "excessive", but the design is exactly what keeps this rig together after repeated crashes, rolls and torque-driven rock bouncing. The LEGO version is made to closely resemble the original at 1:10. It features a powerful driving and climbing ability from 4 XL motors, geared 1:3. It uses 2 SBricks for control and, just like the original, it includes 4 wheel drive, 4 wheel steering and 4 link suspension. During the outdoor driving, the MOC was very enjoyable to drive. Let's start with the video: Control: 2 SBricks Drive: 4 XL (1 independent motor per wheel) Gearing: 1:3 Steering: 1 Servo (4 wheel steering) Batteries: 2 AAA battery boxes Length: 60 studs Width: 30 studs Height: 28 studs Ground clearance: 6 studs Weight: 1.6kg (with batteries) Tires: Interco IROK 1.55″ from RC4WD The 3'rd party tires gave very good climbing traction over rock and loose dirt. The motors had no problem with torque. It was only the batteries that lost power very quickly with the high drain setup and the cold weather. The suspension could also benefit from harder springs in the front as the center of gravity is placed between the front tires and seats. The tires performed beyond expectation on the climbs, but did put strain on the single servo motor. The tread pattern having grip on the sides also makes them grip the body if there is not enough clearance provided when they reach steering lock position. The biggest challenge in this build were the axles. 4 wheel drive and 4 wheel steering was a requirement, as well as a look that resembled the original. After several attempts to include the motors in the chassis, a compromise was made to have 1 L motor directly driving each wheel. This gave the "compact" look I was looking for but performance was disastrous. After finishing the build, I decided to restart the axles using 1 XL motor per wheel and a portal hub with 1:3 gearing. The results in the end gave good clearance and enough torque to overcome some steep rocky climbs. The most exciting part of the build was the fully tubular body, in red! Since I didn't want to convert the colour scheme to blue, grey or black, I had to find 3'rd party hoses compatible with LEGO. The build ended using 3.5m of hoses, all cut to standard LEGO lengths. All the hose connections as well as the rest of the build was made using 100% LEGO parts. Hope you like it. Feel free to comment or ask questions! Thanks, Mik -
Built in another age this hut was the home of a powerful druid who preferred to study high above the ground. So not to long ago (a year today to be exact) I posted my first Moc online (that primitive thing in the spoiler). Anyway its been a pretty good year and I am impressed by how much I have improved thanks to you guys. So I hope you like this new updated version better than the first (if you don't I guess it means I have failed? ). I changed up the base and although the rock work ain't the best it works :p I added some leans so it was closer to the original plan and I used a net for the second time in the roof.. The trees and mediocre. Overall I thinks its half decent and beats the original by a slim margin. so thanks for a good year and keep the C&C flowin

Hi guys, after doing a large build for the SJ17 I did not have much motivation for a new large project immediatly. Then I remembered how I have many uncompleted Age of Mitgardia builds left to do :P Here is my take on the tower phase one! My first focus was on the rockwork, and when I started the tower I had no idea where it was going, but im quite pleased with the result.

This is a LEGO Ideas project I have made of Rockie - a guitarist that can keep the beat to the music. See more at the project site. I would appreciate if you gave it a look and your support! Rockie's head and neck can move (the same kind of mechanism I used in my Star Wars Bobbleheads) and if you have some music on and tap on his head it looks like he is keeping the beat to the music. See a video that demonstrates this . Rockie is a teenager who dreams of becoming a great music star one day. "Practice makes perfect!" is his motto. So far his only fan is his mouse friend Mac who always sits and listens to his guitar play. He specifically enjoys playing rock music, but also other kinds of music like jazz and blues. -
Here is the deal. I was going to enter SHIPtember this year, but I accidently made the main structure of this thing 60 instead of 80 (the cockpit was planned to be 20 studs)... But hey, I still got a pretty nice looking... thing? Right?! Lets move on to the actual creation itself. It's a dropship that's heavily based the very old "Tunnel Transport" set from the Rock raiders theme. The location of cockpit is the only difference really. It was really fun to put it together, especially considering it would be the very firsts RR SHIP, even if that did't happen it is still quite massive and measures up to 84 studs! Hello, now, it is time to present a fortress on an island that is inspired by 6265 "Sabre Island": And I am very happy to do so: As you may recall, the Sabre Island set as a blue coat rowing towards the island. My island version is slightly bigger... There is a brave guard awaiting the boat: Aerial view (not historically correct ) On one side of the island we find a waterfall (through which you get into the inside of the rock) On the other side there is a cave (with a secret door that this unlucky guy obviously did not find) The different levels of fortress and rock are accessible .. and everything is modular: (The monkey will come in later) The white background makes it easier to spot a few things: I hope you like this island fortress - and I am looking forward to comments and questions!
