  1. I don't know if this has been done before here or somewhere else, but I thought it could be fun! Just post some pics of your Castle army. You can include old skellies in there too! The best way to do this is always in some kind of diorama! So, let's see some armies! :skull: I might post mine soon as well!
  2. As you know, LEGO has made 2024 the year of space; incorporating the ‘space’ banner across many established themes. If successful, this will hopefully bring in a new wave of space fans and satisfy some older fans of space and classic space. Is this something LEGO may attempt for other classic themes; specifically, Castle? It could be wishful thinking but I don’t think its impossible that 2025 or 2026 could be the year of Castle. Depending on the success of “Space 2024”, it could allow LEGO to be more flexible with its Castle banner and help satisfy multiple groups of LEGO fans while introducing a new generation to Castle. Spreading the banner of Castle across many themes would allow us to get more variety of pieces and prints. Themes such as CMF, ICONS, Creator, Friends, Duplo, City, Technic, Ninjago and maybe even introducing a new theme in the castle wave. I’m not sure how it would be executed but we can definitely take some cues from “Space 2024” for a theoretical “Castle 2025” What are your thoughts and do you think LEGO might go down this route in 2025 or 2026?
  3. Well, since there is no "real" castle (spare me the discussion about Nexo please) in the next months, castle-loving AFOLS will increasingly have to resort to other themes for their historic needs. Since there is a thread for the impact of CMF on historic, I figured it might make sense to have a wider thread for parts from all the other themes. Up to now, it has been common use to post this in the respective threads, now I suggest to collect that here, too. CMF can remain in the thread already existing. So let us see how this works out: Let me begin... New tall skeleton in Minecraft There is a new, quite tall black skeleton in the upcoming minecraft sets. A worthy addition to the abundance of skeletons already available. It is particularly the legs which are longer. New shield in Elves New shields can make new characters, regiments or even factions. This one is beige and gold with a red gem on it. New shield in DC licenced Wonderwoman has a new shield as well, it looks somewhat white and metallic.
  4. Afoland Castle Game. "The Portal stands silent until blood is spilled. A loyal servant of chaos prepares the ultimate sacrifice to open a gateway to another realm." Thanks to my daughter for coloring the book!! Some techniques
  5. Unfortunately, it's a bit plain, and the photo doesn't convey the volume and curves. But here it is. Afoland Castle Game. "The small faction of Knights of the Order of the Crow is not going through the best days of its existence. But the ancient watchtowers still stand strong." Photos from the construction process:
  6. Hello, and welcome to the Royal Nest! The updated Griffin Castle is back for the BrickLink Designer Program Series 11, you can find my submissions here: https://www.bricklink.com/v3/designer-program/series-11/main.page?page=1&s=tlg The round bastions, the decorated main gate, Gothic windows, the yellow half-timbered house, the plants, and many other details make this castle a worthy home for the king of the griffin faction. It can be displayed either closed or in multiple open formats, and in the open configurations, the interior becomes accessible. It includes a throne room, the king's bedroom, an attic with a treasure chest, a dining hall, a kitchen with a masonry oven, a blacksmith's forge with an anvil, a prison in the basement, and servants' quarters. All the doors are functional (though the one at the top of the staircase is blind). The set includes 9 minifigures (8 characters and 1 skeleton) and some animals, including a horse, offering plenty of play opportunities. Notable changes from Series 10: Much more detailed Gothic window and additional greenery on the main tower The color scheme and flags have been adjusted to better represent the Griffin faction The King now carries a faction flag Dimensions of the castle (closed): Width: 51.2 studs / 16.1 in / 40.9 cm Length: 51.9 studs / 16.4 in / 41.5 cm Height: 55.2 studs / 17.4 in / 44.1 cm The set is not actually based on a real building, but was inspired by some famous castles. I prefer the brick-built solutions to keep the flexibility of the used parts in further builds, so only one coat of arms sticker is used. Thanks for visiting, _TLG_
  7. DISCORD: https://discord.gg/4UPpRSdCsW Revision History: Guilds of Historica New Member Guide Hello fellow adventurer, it looks like you have decided to move to the land of Historica to join us in our quest to flesh out one of the greatest Lego stories ever told. I have prepared this guide to help “ease” you into the guilds project. Perhaps the first question we should answer is “What is the Guilds of Historica?” The simple answer is that it is a building community on Eurobricks that is open to all who wish to join. We tell stories about a land called Historica which currently has five guilds. Each member joins a guild, and builds to win points (Gold Darics) for their guild and to better their building skills. At any given time of the year there may be one or more building challenges that a builder may win recognition and sometimes prizes for themselves. The current official description by ZCerberus is: “The Guilds are a Castle MOCers paradise where builders can connect with other castle fans to build in a connected world of five distinct Guilds, each with their own territory, history, and geography. The world grows as builders compete in challenges to win prizes, enhance their building skills and progress the official lore of Historica. Guilds score gold by competing in challenges and by "free building" in their own guild to grow their world.” Table of Contents 1.0 Choosing a faction 1.1 Choosing a Signature Figure 1.2 Common starting questions 2.0 General Guilds of Historica Guidelines 2.1 Where are we now? 3.0 Some links to important Guilds of Historica information. 1.0 Choosing a Faction The first thing a new builder needs to do is choose a faction. Sometimes guilds are closed for official membership, but you may still build there (see below). Avalonia – A land of that reminds us of Arthurian legend and classic European medieval style. Kaliphlin – A land where desert culture has become king, but also one of the more diverse styled guilds ranging from Mediterranean to Middle Eastern, and from the Far East to pre-Columbian American. Mitgardia – The northern guild, which is more akin to Norse tradition along with some of the other northeastern European styles. Varlyrio - the western island guild, similar to the Mediterranean on the east, dry wasteland in the west, the Venetian capital is closer to Renaissance in feel then the rest of the Guilds. This was closed for Books I and II. CLOSED GUILDS - While members can still build here, new members can no longer join this Guild, and it is no longer included in challenge participation. Nocturnus – A guild of pure and dark fantasy for the most part, but elements of each of the guilds in its own twisted style. This was closed for Book III. As a new builder you should decide to join the guild which you feel the most akin to. Are you looking to step outside of your building comfort zone? Are you looking to stay within the bounds of your own collection? These are all questions you might want to ask yourself. For example, conventionally, you may need a lot of tan pieces to build in Kaliphlin, you may need a lot of white pieces to build in Mitgardia, or a lot foliage to build in Avalonia. (There is no rule that says you need any of this, but there is a common consensus that these elements make it easier). If you think your lack of a certain type of piece will slow you down, maybe another guild is right for you. I personally would suggest joining the guild that most interests you and to start building your collection in that direction. Others will suggest the opposite. Varlyrio is the newest Guild, first opened to members in mid-2018. 1.1 Choosing a Signature Figure After choosing a guild, it is time to choose your signature figure. This figure represents you in the builds that you will be making and in the builds of others (with your permission, of course). You will need to introduce your signature figure in a post in the homepage thread of your chosen guild. Most members post a backstory to their “sig fig” in their initial post. This can really be anything, that is the beauty of the Guilds of Historica – although there is some “cannon” history, it is open enough that whatever you make can stand. If you want to be an ex-slave looking for a new life, you can. If you want to be a high lord of Avalonia, you can! If you want to be a peaceful farmer, you can! Please remember that your signature figure doesn’t have to appear in your builds, but you do need to have one for scoring purposes. (It is also good to have an “In Character” voice to speak with.) 1.2 Common starting questions: Can I have more than one character? Yes! Although one should be your sig fig, and your main character, you can have as many other characters as you wish. The world needs to be populated after all! Can I join Nocturnus? No, Nocturnus is no longer available to new builders for Book III. That guild is available for anyone to build in, but it does not have an open membership. This Guild is no longer included in the active Challenge and Build system of Book III. Can I be a wizard, mage, witch, omnipotent death god? Well, errr…. Yes? You have to remember since this is a community, it might be hard to get everyone on board with a superhuman being that could “consume the Avalonians with fireballs from his eyes, and bolts of lightning from his bum.” ~ Victor Revolword. Which guild is the best to join? They are all the best! Pick whichever you have the most interest in. What kind of challenges are there? 1) Overarching story line challenges: For Book II, this was civil war in all the guilds in turn which give you a couple of months to build. For Book III, this included many builds to further a storyline set forth by the challenge prompts, and a large one near the end that allowed for more direct storyline writing on the part of the participants. 2) "Mini challenges" set as a contest within your guild in between the civil war challenges, with (sometimes) lower stakes. Typically these have shorter deadlines, such as the Sultan's Gate community build, or the Avalonian monarchy challenge. 3) Ongoing skills development challenges like the ages of Mitgardia, the Albion community build, or Historican Settlements. These are basically open ended and which are measured by your own progress rather than in competition with other builders. Participation in any of these is entirely optional and up to you. Some people do all of them, some do one only, some do one and skip a few and then do another. I am lost, there is so much history to learn! There is already a lot of history, but the Wiki along with our very helpful membership base is willing to help you out along the way. The Wiki has not been updated much recently, but is open to anyone who might wish to update it. A good place to start is the Story and Challenge Index. Also, as I said before, there is so much Historica, if you just start creating, it is unlikely you will come into conflict with other storylines. Lastly, there is always some good bedtime reading buried in the many threads of the forum. If you really want to dive in, the actual history is somewhat daunting, but was compiled here in its entirety. Some people here have a shield tag with the colors of their guild. What do you have to do to get such a tag? Those builders participated in Book I challenges. We are currently in Book II, but those who participate in these challenges should also have a chance to earn a special shield. Wow, I want to get into GoH, but I would like to learn more, where can I go? I am glad you asked, here are some helpful links: The Historica City Guide The GoH Wiki(not a Eurobricks link) Nice Marmot's map-making guide A good post by Gabe on how to get your small collection to a more useful collection when just starting off with GOH (this link is broken, need to fix it) Some fun, ongoing projects that you can join right away! The University of Petraea's Doctorate of Historica Program (and the University Tracking Thread ) Age of Mitgardia List of Historican Settlements Current Gold Standings for the Guilds (As of Bk. III Ch. III FB Period 3 8-4-2019): Avalonia: 678 gold Mitgardia: 501 gold Varlyrio: 409 gold Kaliphlin: 331 gold
  8. Edit: Show the most recent photo. Over the past 6 months I have been pulling all the shields I could find from my collection. I am 56 shields shy of having a complete collection. I have created a bricklink wanted list and am considering sourcing the remaing shields that are priced under $10 (all but one of them). I also need to source some more number tiles. The black 2x2 radar dish and the black 3x3 disk pieces are placeholders for missing shields. The black 1x1 round plates are placeholders for missing number tiles. Details of each shield can be seen here: https://followsclosely.github.io/shields/, the site has the same layout as the above image. Use the toggles on the top to show/hide and to break on year.
  9. A GWP for later this year has been announced on r/LegoLeak, and I was able to find out a bit more information about it from u/FluffySky6. Based on the description, it sounds like a remake of 6048. Discussion of this set:
  10. So last year I went through a bit of a nostalgic period and fell super hard for Classic Castle again. I was also looking for something of a pet project while waiting for the Horse Knight castle and the Vending Machine to drop. It was then when it hit me: I would rebuild a classic set using available modern pieces from Pick A Brick, and with some modern details as well. And it didn’t take very long to settle on a set to work from. It would have to be 1984’s epic 6080 King’s Castle. As a boy I owned 6073 Knight’s Castle, and it obviously created a lifelong loyalty to the beloved Black Falcons. But the larger, and wonderfully perfect King’s Castle eluded me. So why not recreate it using modern pieces? It wasn’t a huge piece count and plus I would fit in perfectly with the lore I’d invented for my still growing Black Falcons faction. I like to develop a story for each of my factions, then give some of the more flavorful characters their own name and motivations. In my world, the Black Falcons rule over a mountainous region and control the Peregrine Pass, the only gap through the mountain chain that separates the east from the west of the realm. On one side is the region known as Kestrel, and on the other is Osprey. My Black Falcons are a faction composed of two houses, one from each region, and control the pass via two strongholds on either side. The House of Osprey are more aggressive, and a bit more ruthless, and face the west from Castle Harrier (aka Knight’s Castle). The House of Kestrel value virtue and honor, and would need a stronghold to keep watch from the east, and so it was that the stage was set for me to create… The snowbound Castle Hawkmere. To create Hawkmere, I studied the instructions of 6080 faithfully to create a stud grid drawing, and actually extended the depth of the original castle’s footprint by about five studs. Don’t ask me how many pieces I used; if I’m being honest I kind of lost track along the way. I also worked in some additional details, such as a proper walkway around the castle walls, some timber supports, some thatched roofs, a great bonfire in the courtyard, and of course lots of gargoyles! I also chose to set everything up on a white foundation and built up some drifted snow along the walls. I also used a variety of plates and pieces to create a layer of snow across the top of the ramparts. Finally, I used some rounded plate pieces to create a system that enabled the bonfire to center on the two opening plates of the courtyard and yet still slide off when the castle opens. It took some experimentation, but the end result works well. All in all I’m very happy with the end result. All pieces were bought from Lego’s Pick A Brick, including a second round of ordering when I realized I hadn’t sufficiently prepared for how different the castle wall piece is today from the 80’s. It still wasn’t that costly in the long run. And honestly, it was all worth it when I was finally able to populate the castle with the knights, men at arms, archers, rangers, and squires of the House of Kestrel. And to bring it all full circle, I thought I’d wrap up this presentation by depicting a special occasion at Hawkmere. After spending the autumn at Harrier, the Osprey Falcons, led by Sir Nigel of Osprey, have escorted King Alus Peregrine to winter at Hawkmere. And for those of you that may have actually owned 6073 Knights Castle, you will recognize that both Alus and Nigel are the original knights of that set, on their original steeds. Thanks for reading my little love letter to the Black Falcons all the way to the end. Black Falcons forever!
  11. Hello, and welcome to the Royal Nest! For Bricklink Designer Program Series 10, I’ve reworked the interior to be more spacious and logical, added an extra cave, more windows, and fresh renders to show it all off. You can support it by voting and commenting: https://www.bricklink.com/v3/designer-program/series-10/4126/Royal-Nest The round bastions, the decorated main gate, Gothic windows, the yellow half-timbered house, the plants, and many other details make this castle a worthy home for the king of the griffin faction. All the doors are functional (though the one at the top of the staircase is blind). The set includes 9 minifigures (8 characters and 1 skeleton) and some animals, including a horse, offering plenty of play opportunities. Notable changes from Series 9: A more spacious interior at the main door Additional cave under the dining hall More logical staircase arrangement Cleaner and more detailed main entrance under the half-timbered house Additional skeleton and dog for more playability options Dimensions of the castle (closed): Width: 51.2 studs / 16.1 in / 40.9 cm Length: 51.9 studs / 16.4 in / 41.5 cm Height: 55.2 studs / 17.4 in / 44.1 cm The set is not actually based on a real building, but was inspired by some famous castles. 12. It feels good to be once again active in the Guilds after a bit of a hiatus! Here's an updated look at my characters for Book IV - my Guilds sigfig Kars has pledged himself to Avalonia. From left to right: Gerard Renwick Sinclair III, Cobold McTavish, Kars, Fieryn, and Ayra Valken In the wilds of Avalonia’s Enchanted Forest, a mysterious woodsman named Kars has decided to settle down after several years of bounty hunting. After completing an impossible job for a very powerful Avalonian (who will go unnamed – client confidentiality is no laughing matter), he now has enough gold to build a dwelling for himself. Maybe even a fortress or settlement… To help with him this task, he has enlisted the help of his old friend Cobold McTavish (right)– simultaneously a brother-in-arms, master architect, and top graduate from the University of Petrea (whose colors he passionately brandishes at sporting events). The pair have also encountered Gerard Renwick Sinclair III (left)– a Valyrian socialite who (vain as he is) might prove helpful when establishing alliances within Avalonia and across the sea. Kars and company have discovered that they are also neighbors with Fieryn – a wily and enigmatic inhabitant of the surrounding forest. She is quick with her blades and can transform into a flaming owl - unfortunately she can only communicate in various hoots and screeches. The group will have to figure out how to breach the language barrier... The last member of the group is Ayra Valken. A centaur from the east, she has crossed paths with Kars while on a pilgrimage to the western edge of the Enchanted Forest. Grieving the loss of a loved one, she seeks the Emerald Flame – a holy site and the location of a magical order who she hopes can help her hone her healing powers. With them, she hopes to mend the wounds of the world along with those of her own heart. All five of these character were a lot of fun to build! Gerard Renwick Sinclair III underwent the least amount of changes from his original design (posted back in 2021). I overhauled the outfits for Cobold, Kars, and Ayra. Fieryn is the only totally new character. I'm very happy with how here design turned out - I wanted to evoke owl wings with her massive cloak. I look forward to fleshing out Kars' realm in future posts!
  13. Hello everyone! This is Samurai Castle my new project for LEGO Ideas! A modular Japanese castle with a full interior and 8 minifigures. The build is a tribute to Ninja, the classic Castle sub-theme for 1998 and 1999. One of my favorite themes from when I was a kid. The build takes a lot of inspiration from set 6093 Flying Ninja Fortress and features multiple references to the set. I would love to see a more '"realistic" samurai/ninja set from LEGO, similar to LEGO Ideas Viking Village. Let me know what you think! If you like the model, you can support it on LEGO Ideas: LEGO IDEAS - Samurai Castle Thank you!
  14. Figured I would some pictures of my castle factions. I'll keep adding to this topic over time. Feel free so ask about any of the figures or lore stuff. First up is the kingdom of Halloran. The bulk of Halloran consists out of crown knights but they also include: green dragon knights, forest men, a lion knight (2013) and the warhorse knight (Knights Kingdom II). The Queen, King Consort and Queen's Guard. The warhorse knight and the knights of the Kestrallin Marches. Men-at-arms and crossbowmen. Spearmen. The green dragon knight and his retinue. The citizenry. The forest folk. Thanks for checking out my post, more to follow soon :)
  15. Hello everyone! After a long pause due to lack of free time, lack of inspiration, and too much work... at the beginning of the year, I found the desire to build again, and after six months of work, here I am with module 5 of the Medieval Village! The fifth module of the medieval village is the classic market square where you can find food, tools, trade, and entertainment. It consists of three 48x48 bases and integrates with the previous four village modules. The buildings present are (from left to right): 1) The Lord Merchant's residence 2) The Bakery 3) The castle's entrance portico with two watchtowers 4) The Tavern 5) The Painter's House 6) The Fruit and Vegetable Seller 7) The Blacksmith 8) The Sundial Tower In the square, we can also find additional accessories: A cart with wood and spices, the baker's stall, the tavern table, the village well, a raised stage with minstrels and jugglers, the fishmonger's stall, and five knights (on horseback). On the left side of the first house, we also find a tree and a small bridge crossing the stream that connects to the watermill (from the previous module). The tavern is also a clear remake of set #6067, a tribute to this glorious Castle set. The tavern also features interior furnishings. For the other buildings, I am considering recreating the interior details in the future. This new MOC is made up of 32 minifigures and an approximate total of 14,500 pieces. You can view all the detailed photos of the MOC in this Flickr Gallery: https://www.flickr.com/photos/sdrnet/albums/72177720327772401 I hope you enjoy my latest work, and stay tuned for the next module #6! Comments are welcome! Sandro, SDRnet
  16. My fifth entry to the CCC XIV, for the ‘Pit of Despair’ category. The landscape was largely influenced by Dubbadgrim’s builds. The majority of this build was built in two days, as I wanted to take it to a LUG event. The castle features a working drawbridge, and a full interior in the tower. The doors of the prison carriage can open as well. After some forestmen were captured by crusader knights, their compatriots hatched a clever plan to free them from the dungeon: disguise themselves as crusader knights, bring more ‘captured forestmen’ to the castle, and then break the others free! But will they be successful, and slip through the castle guard un-hindered? Or will their clever plan backfire? Lots more pictures on Brickbuilt Thanks for looking, C&C welcome!
  17. hi guys, have a shot a making lego decals for castle, here is my first attempt below, i have a skeleton army and a human army and would like any feedback on how i could make these sharper!! regards

  19. Hi, I'd like to present my latest MOC - Eastern European Castle based a bit on concepts from upcoming game "Kingdoms Come: Deliverance". It is also my entry to XIV CCC in Miscellaneous - Large Creation Full gallery is in my album on flickr.https://flic.kr/s/aHskPcg1NX
  20. Hi everyone, I created an own version of the 6494 Magic Mountain Time Lab. It is the 20 years anniversary of the Time Cruisers theme. The basement is a laboratory with a lot of equipment and computers. In the basement is a portal gone haywire and a lot of people from the past and present has come into the world of Tim and Dr. Cyber. In the basement are several confrontations among several parties and Majisto the wizard has blown a hole in the wall and has hit a pipe. Can everyone get out before the water reaches the electronics? On the ground floor is a study room, where Johnny Thunder sees the confrontation between the Forestmen of the Dark Forest and the Imperial Armada. In the hallway, Dr. Cyber escapes from a confrontation between Pirates and the Blacktron Future Generation. In the Kitchen, the Forestmen are fighting with pirates. Outside, the police has started a raid and one of the Blacktron is trying to keep them away from the house. The Superhero is rescuing the police from the fire. On the first floor is a confrontation among the Imperial Guard, Unitron, Pirates and Spyrius. There is a bathroom, bedroom and another study room. Here is an overview of the basement and the ground floor. Here is a picture from the outside. For more pictures the album of Time Cruisers. Comments and questions are welcome. Sander
  21. “Weary from the long journey, our heroes find the toppled great tower looming before them. An unspoken question haunted them: had the daughter of the Duchess been in her quarters? Should she no longer breathe, the mission would be for nought. Once a floor hatch, now a door. Once a door, now a floor. Her room was on the 4th level. They entered the 9th.” -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My initial attempt at bringing the resting tower to life ended in ruins. I made it too large, and I began running low on the necessary parts. About a month ago I made the decision to tear it all apart and start afresh. It was a hard decision after all the hours spent on construction, but it was worth it! I had just received a much needed bricklink order, so the timing was good. The smaller size was much easier to manage, and I had enough parts to spare for the large chunk of wall the tower fell through. I would have loved to spend more time on it, but I knew I could go on endlessly, so I made the call after about two months of part time building. The big challenge on the second go at building this MOC was fusing the odd sections together so it wouldn't fall apart every time I touched it. From the back, the smith prefers to sleep out in the open air on the roof. Forge area without the roof. Inside the shop. The smith's assistant tends to a costumer. Inside the smith's house. C&C is appreciated. Thanks for viewing.

DESTRO is their tool of choice when normal bows reach their limits. Unlike the MEADS, which wreaks widespread havoc at a very long distance, DESTRO is deployed for medium-ranged precision shots. DESTRO "Griffin" - Deadly Spear Thrower by MWardancer, auf Flickr ELVEREST - Elven Repeating Spear Thrower When the firing rate is of the utmost importance, Elves use the ELVEREST system. It is known as a long-range cavalry killer and effective troll deterrent. The prospect of encountering a sudden rain of bolts reinforced with Elven steel is something even medium-sized dragons frown upon. Due to its modular nature, versions with up to 10 launchers can be built if mobility is not of primary importance. Some say he crushed his first orcish skull when he was still a foal. Some say he bathed in the Everqueen’s blessed springs. The truth is only known to Prince Maerendil, who has guided his four-legged comrade into countless victorious battles. When general Maeven, battle-tried since the ambush on Viéd Nahm, and his steed Felsentritt enter the battlefield, lesser beings tremble before the sacred aura the banner exudes. However, for some... delicate matters, nameless assassins are needed. This silent warrior answers directly to the Everqueen and to her only. The Nameless Assassin by MWardancer, auf Flickr Archdruid Nemesis Many conclude that Elves embody qualities of a forest on a friendly summer's day, such as hospitality, ageless wisdom, peacefulness and dignity. However, most who were unfortunate enough to travel a forest in a stormy night will agree that forests also have a threatening, archaic side. In times of war, Wood Elves tap the forests primal rage and direct them. The Archdruid is the key to the forest's dark powers. After opening the gates for earthly creatures, he restores the mobilized energy by sacrificing enemies in the swamp Nemesis the Archdruid by MWardancer, auf Flickr Dryad Fiérce and the Sylvaneth Sisters (summoned) With the orc problem becoming more and more pressing, the druids had to resort to calling the dryads. These vile creatures usually slumber in the harsh, barren parts of the forest. Once summoned, cold hatred makes them rise and move towards the enemy. A shell of wood hardened by the ages makes them virtually impenetrable to most of the weapons used by mortals. With claws as hard as steel they stab their enemies without mercy. Dryads move faster than their big brothers, the Tree Demons and they usually travel in groups. Fiérce was the first to be called, and she will be in a particularly bad mood until her younger sisters show up. So if something whispers and crackles in the woods tonight, better not suppose it is the forest fairy... Often referred to as Forest Balrog, these Tree Demons are not to be messed with. Never ever approach them with an axe. If a tree has a circle of mushrooms around it, it is most likely a tree demon. Blades of Gray by MWardancer, auf Flickr Blade of Gray by MWardancer, auf Flickr Everlight: Arcane Royalty The Everqueen Some say her wings are real. Some say they are of magical nature, like the flowers she allows to blossom wherever she is present. Some think the wings are simply part of her artful attire. Others claim they are merely an allegory on her majesty's arcane powers and timeless beauty. Be as it may, most who have the honor to come before her throne, the broken heart of the forest, do not question the Queen’s ability to banish demons with a gesture of her tender hands. The Everqueen by MWardancer, auf Flickr The Archmage Couple: Filin and Fenian As an expression of the self-complementing polarity of nature, the archmage couple’s power is only surpassed by the Everqueen herself. Whereas the former is said to have summoned his beloved spirit wolf at the age of four, the latter ins known to have wrestled forest lions as an infant. Be as it may, to most defeated enemies it seems irrelevant which part of the inseparable couple has dealt the fateful blow. 24. Hello everyone . A week ago I made a new castle wolfpack and I've added things lately . I hope you like it.
  25. This was my build for the 6th and final round of the 2017 Middle Earth LEGO Olympics. The category was ‘Switched Teams’; so someone who was a villein would now be a good guy, and a place like Rivendell would be evil, etc. I decided to do Minas Morgul, which is the fortress of the Witch King in the Lord of the Rings, so in my version the Witch King is now a noble leader with a valiant force of warriors guarding the splendid fortress. In order to make it look less scary/bad guy-ish, I opted for a white/grey colorscheme and changed the architecture to be slightly less pointy (though I did keep the buttresses and battlements rather spiky), while still keeping the same general layout. I’m quite pleased with the result, and although I didn’t plan on it getting quite this big, it’s now my heaviest build to date, weighing a smashing 31.2 pounds! There are also a few things you can try to find in this build, if you would like (though not many of them are very well hidden, I admit!): 4 frogs 1 bear 2 hedgehogs 1 bird in a birds nest 3 chickens 2 goats Lots more pictures on Brickbuilt. Thanks for looking, and as always, comments and constructive criticism very welcome!
