  1. To keep the main Town forum a bit more tidy i decided to post all new alternatives to this one topic. This weekend i would like to present you my 50th and final alternative for 76901 - Supra A70. FREE INSTRUCTIONS:
  2. A long time has passed since I made a new proper Technic alternate build. Stumbled upon the 42181 VTOL set on clearance sale for 60 Euros and thought that it was too good of a deal to pass on so I bought it. At first I didn't have an Idea what alternate should I make but reading comments about the original set a lot of people talked that this as close as we will get to an actual Osprey set. Probably a lot of You remember the cancelled 42113, so I took an inspiration from it and started on making the best possible Ospray version that I could manage. In the end alternate turned out much better then anticiapted. Looks were important, but so was the functionality. The alternate retains the core features of the cancelled 42113, without any motorization of course. Functions: Flying and landing mode - rotate engines using Blue bevel gear on the top. Moving rotors using the second Blue bevel gear on top (Rotors work all the time, in all the engine positions.) Retractable landing gear - by pushing or pulling the central lever all 3 landing gears work at the same time. Manually opening rear ramp - ramp is there, although the space is limited due to the internal mechanisms. Instructions are available for sale on my Rebrickable page. Cheers!
  3. Cessna 152 (42025 Alternate) Features: - Working propeller - Ailerons, elevators with joystick control - Movable flaps - Movable rudder - Opening doors Video: Pictures: Free instruction is in the video and on Rebrickable: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-212662/paave/42025-cessna-152
  4. Hi everybody, I am happy to present my second alternate model of the 5767 Creator set. Nathanael's incredible alternate F1 car built from the parts of the 10248 F40 inspired me to create an alternate model myself. There are not too many features: just opening doors, opening bonnet and replacable engine cover. I hope you like it. As usual: Rates, critiques and comments are highly appreciated. 5. Alternate moc made with pieces from Lego Creator 31046 set Review video >>> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=www.youtube.com/watch?v=a8JAoLBao3A Thanks for watching!
  6. Set 31052 is really well done and it offers three very different models - RV, ship and house. So what can I add? Plane! It is inspired by LEGO City Ambulance Plane (set 60116) and uses just about half of set parts. I think it's not bad result for limited time and effort I've put in. It features opening windscreen, cargo door and roof. Last but main feature is described in little bonus story bellow. BONUS STORY Somewhere in wilderness... The plane is really able to carry bear - this is a proof:
  7. Just finished creating my 10th alternate model from #31046 Fast car set. Let's look at all alternate models 1. Classic cabrio 2. buggy 3. muscle car 4. Truck 5. Dump truck 6. Tumbler 7. Tricycle 8. SUV 9. Offroader 10. Angry Shark car More pictures at my instagram and review&tutorial videos of some models at my Youtube channel. Thanks for watching !!!
  8. Hey, Eurobricks. #31046 seems to be very fun set and I've created a new alternate from it. This time it's a dump truck. in the building process had to come up with some clever brick connections to get the shape and size of model from the limited brick palette. Here are some pictures >> There is also an introduction & how to build video at my Youtube channel ( link in my profile ) Thanks for watching and #KEEPONBRCIKING !
  9. Hello, Everyone! Here's another alternate made from the Creator #31046 set- a muscle car. It has a few functional feature like motile front and rear hood, easy to take off cabin roof. Youtube review video >> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=www.youtube.com/watch?v=bRqZ70aNtks Thanks for watching!
  10. Lance's VTOL I would like to introduce my first alternate build of LEGO NEXO KNIGHTS Lance's Mecha Horse 70312. The VTOL plane can tilt and spin all four engines, features opening cockpit and cargo bay, folds the weapons for mid-air jousting. Flamethrower is riding a combat scooter and Lance's bot is flying the hovershield. The building tutorial can be found in my Youtube channel. And the original model.
  11. Have you ever wondered how to end a row of modulars in a natural way? One of the available options is to introduce a water feature, be it a beach, lake or a river and then use that for a nice natural progression. In this case, I took the Big Ben set and rebuilt it as a 32w modular that's meant to sit at the end of your street and transition into a beach, bay or a similar feature. I wanted it to evoke the placement often found at beach resorts with a walkway "onto" the sea. It's kind of a faux corner building, as it has 2 adjacent sides of the facade exposed, but only one pavement. Since 10253 doesn't contain a baseplate, it sits on standard plates included in the set, making it slightly higher than other modulars. You can easily solve it by putting everything on a 32x32 baseplate and adjusting the pieces slightly to allow for modular connections. If you like it, you can get instructions here: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-14123/Huaojozu/the-lounge-10253-big-ben-alternate-model-modular/ Since there are no doors in the set, I solved it by making a sliding door as commonly seen in malls for example. That also determined what kind of building it's going to be - a store, hotel, casino or a similar high-end establishment would fit best with such pronounced doors. The Big Ben ski pole decorations also serve well to give the appearence of rich-ness. It was a bit of a struggle to make the interior, as the 10253 set contains an awful lot of tan bricks and not much else. But in the end I am happy with how it turned out. There was only enough plates to make floors for two sections, so the roof is just that - a roof. I've at least made the statue on the second floor a bit higher to justify the space. It was a lot of fun to do this and I am already looking forward to my next project, which will be an alternate model for the Sydney Opera House 10234. It's going to be interesting to see how so many curved white pieces can be used. And since it also has lots of blue, it will make a nice complement to The Lounge - sitting opposite of it and ending with the sea as well.
  12. I made Instructions for my MOC: 10211 Grand Emporium Alternative buildwith the theme of "Wedding Hall"You can make this Alternative build only using parts of 10211 lego set, without any extra bricks.Model design, Instructions by Inyong Lee Store pages: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Lego-10211-alternative-build-instructions/132595113153?hash=item1edf48dcc1:g:Vs4AAOSwdMBa3hef https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-14248/InyongBricks/10211-alternative-build/
  13. Alternate MOC model from official LEGO City sets. Let's start with a few LEGO City 60182 set alternate remake models. 60182 Truck and trailer 60182 Hot Rod Duel 60182 Minivan and pickup 60182 Dragrace cars Thanks for watching!
  14. Custom design alternate MOC model made using pieces from official LEGO sets. Let's start off with the 31074 Rocket Rally set. More to come!
  15. Hello, my plan is to make a battle szene with mortesv Nebulon B and the Correlian Corvette, both are scale 250:1 And this is the problem, a "in scale" 1600m Star destroyer would be 640cm long. Far more space and bricks i can effort. So im building simultaneously in LDD and real the nose and just the nose of a Star destroyer. The greebling height is aproximately 12Studs in this scale. Picture quality of the studio model is rare if someone has a good reference i would appreciate if you could share the link. Found plenty of different versions of greebling around the star destroyer. To make things a little bit more comlicated i try to design this as an alternate build of the 10030 and use only the original parts. This will cause a few compromises. This is the actual progress in LDD AND real bricks.
  16. I’ve checked every site I could think of that has anything Lego and in every country Bionicle came out, but have not found the alternate ending tile for the quest for Makuta board game. I’m pretty sure it’s a typo, but biosector says it was distributed in a copy of Lego magazine. Does anyone know what issue, or does anyone have a copy of the piece? I’ve been looking for a while and would love to play the alternate ending! https://biosector01.com/wiki/BIONICLE:_Quest_for_Makuta Photo of alternate ending piece here: http://bionicle-sell...nate_Ending.jpg Please message me if you know anything about the piece! 17. It's been quite a while since I last created a topic here on EB, but recently started a lot of building again, and want to share some of those here :) A while ago I bought 75084 Wookiee Gunship, but I didn't really like the set itself, so I decided to built a MOC using just the parts in the set. Here is the original btw: And here is my alternate build: 75084 Wookiee Gunship Alternate Build by Lego TWP, on Flickr 75084 Wookiee Gunship Alternate Build by Lego TWP, on Flickr As far as alternate builds go, I think I've done a pretty good job. It even won't fall apart when I hold it xD 75084 Wookiee Gunship Alternate Build by Lego TWP, on Flickr Usually alternate builds feature very messy underside's, but IMO this one looks kind of okay 75084 Wookiee Gunship Alternate Build by Lego TWP, on Flickr It features opening cockpit, rotating cannons and space to place a storage crate. As you can see, I didn't apply the stickers originally supplied with the set. Wonder what it will look like with them applied, but I'd like to use the parts for future builds ;)

  19. I built 2 pickup alternates from Creator Expert sets. The first one is from the 10265 Mustang set, and to keep within the theme and time period I decided to go for a Ford F100 from 1970. The model includes steering by HoG, opening bonnet, doors and tailgate, a detailed interior and engine. Once done I thought why not try to build a pickup model from the 10252 Volkswagen Beetle too? So that's just what I did with this vintage American pickup truck somewhere from the 1930's. It has similar features as the 10265 alternate except for the steering function, which was not possible. Some pictures: Pickup trucks from 10252 and 10265 by Nathanael Kuipers, on Flickr 10265 Pickup Truck by Nathanael Kuipers, on Flickr Pickup Truck guts by Nathanael Kuipers, on Flickr 10252 Vintage pickup truck by Nathanael Kuipers, on Flickr 10252 Pickup truck rear by Nathanael Kuipers, on Flickr More information and pictures for model 10252 and 10265 at NKubate.com. 20. This is alternate model of LEGO Technic set 42106 - Hoonitruck, pickup truck inspired by Ken Block's custom truck. Model use only pieces from set 42106 Stunt Truck and Bike show released 1h 2020. Model has openable rear gate, doors, steering system with a knob behind the cab. You can remove duck tail, some front stufff like bash-bar and tow ring, change rear wheels to narrow ones and get street-legal custom pickup. 3D model or/and full instruction are on my plans list. 21. After my 2 pick-up alternates, I returned to set 10265 twice more but this time to create 2 vehicles heavily inspired by iconic and classic sportscars from the 1960's in which Ford also played a key role, the GT40 and the Shelby Cobra which both fit perfectly with the 1967 Mustang. First the GT40 famous for winning Lemans. The GT40 was first built in England, but the later version in the US. GT04 main by Nathanael Kuipers, on Flickr The model features working steering wheel, opening doors, and engine cover with an engine that can be removed and displayed separately. GT04 open by Nathanael Kuipers, on Flickr Next is the Cobra Roadster, also a car that originated in the UK, but which Shelby with the help of Ford imported to the US. There it was equipped with a much larger engine that also required other changes to the chassis and suspension. I built this specific model for the TLCB Lock-down competition Cobra Roadster by Nathanael Kuipers, on Flickr This was a tricky model to render in bricks due to all its curves. Cobra Roadster rear by Nathanael Kuipers, on Flickr As with the GT40, this model features a working steering wheel and opening doors. Both front and rear open too. Cobra Roadster open by Nathanael Kuipers, on Flickr If you're interested to read more about the development or would like to see more pictures of either vehicle, please consider to have a look at my website NKubate.com. Thanks for looking!
  22. Hello folks, I wondered why there is no official alternate build for the 42108 Mobile Crane (sometimes lovely called Yellow Parts Pack), so I decided to create this cool American Tow Truck as an alternate model. This alternate uses 1172 parts from the main model. Spare parts are not needed. The dimensions of the truck are as follow: 52 cm (L) x 15 cm (W) x 18 cm (H) with extended wheel lift (20.5 in x 5,9 in x 7 in) The model reaches a total height of 40 cm (15,7 in) with fully extended arm. In scale, it fits the 42078 Mack Anthem or 42098 Car Transporter very well with those tires. The functions are as follow: HOG-Steering workable 6-cylinder inline engine with nice clicking-sound under the hood openable hood with locking function both doors can be opened raising/lowering the boom - operable on both sides of the model extendable arm working winch with locking function extendible wheel lift Because the lag of differential in the main model, the inline engine is just driven by one wheel and not by the entire axle. The playability of the American Tow Truck is just great. You can use either the wheel lift to hook and tow cars or other trucks, or you can use the giant boom to rescue some crashed vehicles with the strong winch. The model is based on a real American Tow Truck. Here are some pictures of the model you easily can build on rebrickable: With realease of 42107 and some rare panels in red, this model can be build to 100% in red instead of yellow. Blue, black and white are also possible with a few changes. Since 42115 and the release of lime panels and connectors, this truck can be fully build in lime instead yellow with some minor changes. instruction The instruction comes in high quality and clear images for builders with an age of atleast 10 years. With 5 parts per step, the instruction is very easy to follow and has 234 total pages with a total of 347 steps. The model is divided into several submodels and steps with different camera views as common for modern Technic sets. Rendering the rope was a bit tricky because it counts not as a part, but the instruction steps are very clear and understandable to deal with it. And the best thing is: You do not need to make or release the nodes on the rope - you can use the rope with nodes on both ends from the main model as it is. Here are some random example pages of the instruction: You can find this MOC with building instruction on rebrickable: here Finally a cool 360 degress view and review
  23. Let me introduce you my latest alternative model - Dune Buggy built out of set 42075 (First Responder). This buggy is my tribute to two special sets: 8829 (my very first LEGO set) and 8048 (the set that definitely ended my dark age). It features front axle steering, rear axle suspension, V2 fake engine and opening cab cage same as original models. I wanted to add differential but it would make engine block too high so it has just "one wheel drive". I hope you will like and any comments are welcome.
  24. Hey everyone, I'm back with another alternate model, this time for the latest modular - 10264 Corner Garage. I posted the exterior in the set's thread back in February and had to put the project on hold for a bit. I came back to it this month to finish the interior and you can see the result below. It uses 2190+ pieces, so about 85% of the original set. A lot of the very specialized pieces and Technic pins left over. Initially I wanted to make 3 fully furnished floors but it soon became apparent that I wouldn't have enough pieces for everything. The floor would have to be compromised a lot due to a lack of plates (since the original has an unusual floor shape) and there also weren't enough pieces left for furniture, without combining colors willy-nilly. So I settled for a store on the ground floor and an appartment on the top. Building these alternates, I'm starting to realize why Lego hasn't produced a classic straight modular for a while. The latest ones we had were DD, DO and PR - and while DD's and PR's sidewalks are straight, the buildings themselves are more corner-y. Having only one exposed side makes the building looks less interesting standalone. I think I will go back to corner modulars or adapt Lego's philosophy of "straight-but-corner" for the future. Seems like more fun. Enjoy the pictures below. You can get the instructions here.
  25. Lance's Plane & Trike My 3rd alternate model of Lance's Mecha Horse. The plane features a spinning propeller, working missiles, opening cockpit and detachable shield. The trike rolls on the ground and uses Flamethrower's mohawk for aiming the arrow gun. Both the models are surprisingly solid.
