Hello everyone, this is my MOC of USS Constitution. I estimate it to be between 5-7000 pieces. I will eventually rig the ship fully as well as add minifigs and longboats. I am currently working on the Guerriere for a battle diorama. If anyone has any feedback or changes I should make, plea feel free to let me know. more photos at Uss constitution - Imgur

Forbidden Cove. I remember buying this set when I was 9. Enchanted Island was out of the question. This was my consolation. I loved the rotating face. I loved that it had extra Islander hair (the Kahuka mask was awesome, but I already had him, I needed more soldiers). The happy sandy beaches, the imposing tropical tower. Good times. With so many others remaking Enchanted Island, and with so much time spent on Saber Island, I thought this would be a fun project. The thatched roof does work with real bricks, there can be a little tension on stray cactus pieces, but nothing worse than being stored in a plastic tub with 6000 other pieces. The frame holding it up is sturdy. Islander minifigures are sourced from the new Indiana Jones set. The triangle stonework is as well. I'm sure you'll notice several things. Yes, I took 90% of the Tiki mask from the new Indiana Jones set. Yes it is crooked. And no, I'm not sure what that red stuff is in the little pool. If you straighten the Tiki mask, a door to the cave opens up! Inside we have headless skeletons strewn around, some roots, and a golden treasure. With real bricks you'll want to grab x276 (Sun Disk from Amazon Ancient Ruins) or 73681 (Golden Idol from Indiana Jones), but since those models aren't in Stud.io I used a skull with metallic gold. If you turn the zebra-print drum on the back... The mouth opens! The gap is enough for a figure to squeeze through (2 studs wide by 4 bricks tall). There you have it. With the free-for-all in the Eastern seas, Hernan Orellana outfitted an expedition to sail for the islands, to see if he might capitalize on the chaos gripping the region. The night before his departure from Weelond, Orellana went for a drink at one of the local watering holes. There he met a man who claimed to have escaped from Lotii captivity. The man told Orellana that upon his escape he had grabbed several Lottii artifacts including a map that, he claimed, led to an ancient civilization on the island of El Oleanda. Although feeling pretty doubtful about this stranger's story, Orellana purchased the map and departed for the island the very next day. Throughout the voyage Orellana studied every inch of his map, but it was only after the cook spilled a mug of lemon juice on it that it revealed its secret. Beneath the marked city on the map, the juice revealed what appeared to be a small oval with a maroon dot and the word Thabthim written inside of it. Several days later the expedition disembarked on the southern coast of the island of El Oleanda, purposefully avoiding all settlements as they didn’t want anyone seeing what they were up to. After a day's march through the thick jungles of El Oleanda, Orellana’s expedition arrived at the ruins of what his men had begun to call Thabthim. But Orellana could just not get that strange gold and maroon oval out of his head. Just as the group began to leave the courtyard a loud rumble came from beneath Orellana’s feet and all of a sudden he was falling. Below the central ruins of El Oleanda was the Golden Altar of Thabthim, a shrine to a god of the ancient Oleandan civilization. The altar held a massive ruby surrounded by ornate gold pieces, untouched by looters, protected from the world for centuries. Since I have been a child I always wanted to control my LEGO Red Beard Runner without pushing it around and now my dream has come true. I have build a motorized Version of the famous Flying Dutchman which is my favorite pirate ship, too. I have seen the original swedish Vasa which has given the idea for the Dutchman with its marvelous bow and stern. So I managed to combine them with my own creative ideas into this "rolling" Dutchman! Please have a look at the features in the video and the pictures! Video: Update 2: Thanks for your 1k supports so far! I have worked on the main picture a bit and now added a picture of the crew and one showing the functions as well. Update 1: New rotten Sails! (Picture 7+8+Video still with the first sails) Motorized Features: Rolling movement caused by waves (1. M-Motor) Two motorized triple-barrelled chasers in the bow (1. M-Motor) Motorized steering with simoultaneously rotating ship´s wheel, rudder and steering mechanism (S-Motor) Motorized movement for- and backward (L-Motor) Motorized sail trim with turning capstan and changing sail position of all square sails (M-Motor) All features can be controlled by rc-control via 4 channels and two receivers All features use the Power-Function System but could easily be adapted to the new Control+ System which can lead to advanced handling of the functions The battery box can slide out easily to switch on/off and change batteries General Features: Minifigures: Davy Jones, Jack Sparrow, Elizabeth, Bill Turner, Barbossa and more. (I am not familiar with the movies in english so I would like to ask you to tell me the names in the comments section!) Two decks with cannons (one side the lower deck is closed to store the motors) The two tripple-barreld chasers can manually slide backwards and then the gun ports can be closed Removable deck at the stern to take out the steering wheel Removable lower balcony´s on both sides Handmade sails Two functional anchors Upper cabin minifigure size with Jack stealing the heart (illuminated) Lower cabin with Davy Jones organ (illuminated) Two torches at the stern (illuminated) The capstan can be removed The ship is based on the sturdy hull parts, the complete 2 lower rows of bricks can be removed with the steering and driving wheels to use it as "normal" push forward ship or display model The main mast and the mizzen are both slightly tilted backwards Correct rigging and sails due to the movies The ropes between the masts can be removed easily to take them apart for transport It would be an honor to receive your support. Hello all, I wanted to share my long time project, the USS Constitution. The Constitution has always been a favorite of mine, and I've seen other great Lego versions of this tall ship, but I wanted to make one that is true to minifig scale. Due to a personal visit, my first creation is mostly inspired by the "Castillo de San Pedro de la Roca" also called "Castillo del Morro" from Santiago de Cuba, but also by other Morros from Havana and San Juan in Puerto Rico. "El morro" refers to the rock or the hill, the fortress is built on and had mostly its purpose in keeping the towns save from pirates. I wanted especially make the round towers, but step by step added more of the details, eventhough the real and complex form is not possible to rebuild, at least for me. So I kept it boringly square-shaped, but still like the (not) end result quite a bit. I will make some 1-1 comparisons, but first I'd like to tell you the story of Captain Valiant(You can read it or just skip it and scroll down and see the result): You remember Captain Valiant? Sure you do.... hmm, well actually I didn't knew who he was was until I heard his amazing story: He was the Captain of the Santa Cruz, the Armada Flagship, although he doesn't like to mention that the real leader was not him but the admiral. So, after they conquered all the caribbean and the southern seas, found the eldorado and got tons of gold, he decided to retire and start a banana plantation. Captain valiants vision by Victory Count, en Flickr It was there, 5 years ago, when he heard rumours about a bay full of bloody pirates and they were coming to get the gold. Standing at the beach, tasting his rrich flavoured self grown fresh banana, he had a vision about a fortress that would keep any pirates away, and keep the town, plantation, habitants, goods and gold save. He would call it El Morro: "El morro de Capitan Valiente". And of course the priest accepted quickly, if he just keeps those sinners away. "Yes captain" responds the cook, but his eyes wander once again to the horizon, where he sees that shipwreck which always fascinated him. And I'm not sure if I'm more shocked by his hair or the impression that I had for a moment, seeing something suspicious through the window. But it wasn't the moment to tell the captain, so I left his cabin. It's been a long time since I built my last MOC. But I received my BSB some days ago ( new fan of Lego Pirates here!) and havent any soldiers. I bought 4 redcoats and while they arrived I did this outpost. Most of the boats approach from the east, so it has a loophole on that side. Access to the upper part is via a wooden staircase inside (there is a wooden hatch door). The lower part is also used as a prison, in case of capturing a pirate. I hope you like it ! Building my city for 6 y. ( 7 m now ). I finally started building pirates and castles. The pirates will be by the beach, like the old part of town with a harbor.This is 4 x32 -2 more house to build and square and a market.

Ahoy, mateys! I'd like to present to you a Lego Ideas project - The Royal Flagship - a classic style, modular, set-like looking ship-of-the-line with lots of play features. SUPPORT NOW Stats and overview: Features: ---------- About: I started this project with a specific intention - to design a multi deck vessel that can be both - a Lego set-like looking ship that's fun to play with, and a decently realistic shelf model of a true ship-of-the-line. And all of this had to fit in the Lego Ideas framework, specifically it had to contain 3000 parts or less. No easy undertaking, and I've failed to come up with something that I liked a couple of times over the past years. This design now, however, I think it quite does it. Sure, it might not be playful enough to some, and not realistic enough looking to others, and then there's the fact there are only stud-shooters instead of ye olde Lego cannons... () But I hope the compromise I found is appealing to at least some of you; and that it proves that ships-of-the-line can be done as sets by Lego. Some decisions I took along the way: Use stud shooters instead of spring powered cannons (*boo-ing noises in the background* ) But hear me out - let's face it, no single set will ever contain that many classic cannons. So the Royal Flagship features easy to remove stud shooter based custom cannons that can be fired from outside the ship, but that can also as easily be replaced by your good old spring powered cannons - if you got enough of them, the space is there! Almost no interior, except for the captain's cabin. This decision was simply based on Lego Ideas' 3000 parts maximum. Feel free to fill the decks with whatever you would like to see though - there's enough headroom for minifigs to be placed on all decks! Relatively simple hull shape, little tumble home, no string rigging. Due to the modular approach, I just couldn't come up with anything more ornate/fancy/complicated - if you have some suggestions, however, feel free to elaborate! The Royal Flagship was very well received during last year's Bricks @nd Friends exhibition in Cologne; kids especially seemed to like the firing mechanism pretty well - we literally had a blast Let's see if I can take the ship to a few more exhibitions this year - if Corona permits. ---------- If you have questions, please ask! The Black Pearl I built this for Innovalug's Style it Up contest, where the prompt was to build something, anything, with only one color. So after contemplating many colors and subjects (spaceship, dragon, etc.) but ultimately rejecting them all, I started building a ship. Then, since my color was black, I settled on the Black Pearl of Pirates of the Caribbean fame as a reference. She's not a perfect likeness, as I did not bother with all of the gunports and other details like that, as it would have been beyond my collection at this scale, but I am pretty pleased with how it turned out. This MOC was inspired by @Mr. Townsend's Miss Elizabeth and @Bregir's use of 4185. Also of course the USS Hannah, on which the Miss Elizabeth is based. - Intro story will follow - A new ship was launched at the Farrensman shipyards. This time an order from the WTC. The Topsail Schooner Sjælland is a fast, light armed merchant vessel. Her rig doesn't require a big crew and her four carronades as well as her four swivel guns are enough to defend against little ambushes and make her one of the more independent merchant vessels. Nathaniel Stienhouwer's first signed position as a steersman. Her recommended stats: R M G C $ H4 6 1 2 4 1 78 of those little brown wheels are in this MOC. I'm happy with the result, only the sheets for the foresails bother me a bit. I might think of another solution but for now I want to give her some rest. -
Oi, I've been busy. STILL working on updating my YOUTUBE Channel since.... May this year? Sitting on a litteral HOARD of lego Sets from the last two to five years I want to pull apart and review, and I've got Mocs out the Yin-Yang. This is a recent one I made with the Systar System Party Crew set as a base (Music-Beard/Party-Time Metal Beard) I took the base model for Metalbeard, and pallette-swapped a lot of pieces until the good Captain was in his classic colors again. I took several creative liberties in his design, however I feel that i've hit a happy middle ground between making this an original creation I'm content with, as well as something that can be recognized as, "Oh hey, it's the Robot-Pirate from the LEGO Movie!" A feature I'm proud of including in this MOC is the right leg (The good one) having a functional joint in the knee. well, with the way the parts fit together, I'm pretty happy about that leg. Left leg/peg-leg has a special pin element on the side of it, that the new Grapple/Anchor piece, found in the latest Batman set (Batcycle Vs. Mr.Freeze) can easily attach to, to keep it out of the way when he's gallivanting about. The back of the model. I took the most liberties here, building up the engine on the back. Since his last stint, Metalbeard has overhauled and upgraded his onboard engine. Four cylinders, five exhaust ports, lots of output! Metalbeard with Accessories. Sword clips into his good hand, and he cradles his cannon under his Hook-arm. Against his better judgement, he has a single black cylinder shot for the cannon rattling around loose in his chest O' Innards! The Captain, in all his glory!

Hey, on Redbeard's Cove fanpage you can find new pirate short comic "Għajn Tuffieħa Escape" chapter one... and other images ☠️?? I took a lot of Redbeard's photos and had to do something :) Għajn Tuffieħa Tower was built in 1637 on the cliffs overlooking Għajn Tuffieħa Bay close to Mellieħa. The tower was designed by the Italian architect Vincenzo Maculani. Hi to all pirate friends , i just finish one more creation that inspire me from the lovely set Sabre Island. I just want to make something modern but with some old details like the original set of lego. I didnt want to make a tower with so much details and architecture tricks but with clear lines. This moc is one more creation that i love to have with ny other moc pirates creations and reminds me the gold season of lego sets..!!

Hey all, I've just come back from the new Lego store in Birmingham UK and thought I'd mention a couple of cool pieces that I got incase anybody is interested. Firstly, 3 minifigs were £4.99, which I'm sure is reduced from the last time I visited a store. Tomorrow, they'll also be doing specially printed Lego Birmingham Black Friday 2019 bricks for orders over £55. So, pieces... They had my usual favourite head piece from 70643 Lego Ninjago Temple of Ressurection: And secondly, they had this Pirate Torso, which seems kinda of rare from 70413 The Brick Bounty etc. I've not seen this in the BAM bin before so thought I'd let you all know incase somebody is interested: If there's another thread for this, sorry but I could not see it.

Hello everyone! This is my first post here, and I want to introduce myself with my Spanish Galleon build! (excuse the pirate flag its the only one I have at the moment) The ship itself is more than 2,000 pieces with more than 15 yards of rigging. It has a total of 4 decks, which carry its 24 guns. I have been planning and working on this build for the last 3 months and very happy how it turned out! This is my first large ship I have built, and it comes in around 3 feet long (just the deck) and 2 feet tall, which means its about 1/2 of minifigure scale! I used a combination of different hull techniques that I learn here to give the hull its shape. I have yet to include sails but will be working on that shortly! The Renegade Cutter A tribute to 6268 Renegade Runner Here is my last MOC. A little Pirate ship : The Renegade Cutter : I was heading to a more Pirate ship as I am more used to build for Brethren of the Brick Seas game and have mostly built a merchant fleet. I was immediately appealed by the old and simple design of the 6268 Renegade Runner, probably my first Pirate ship ever (I had it quite quickly at its release in 1993 way before I managed to get my hands on the biggest ones) So I decided to stay to a little and classical pirate ship design. Here it is from other angles : It has only the 2 hull sections the Renegade Runner has and is using a similar sail plan. The rigging is strictly LEGO official and the sails are originals too. I just added a second jib and made more rigging. I also changed the curves of the hull and made it really different from the original. Hope you'll like it ! C&C's are always welcome !

The islanders of Polynesia often traveled on huge rafts called crab claws, named after the distinctive shape of the sail. There is evidence these could grow as big as a frigate, or even a ship of the line. Just a little build. I don't really like the sails, but I think I quite like it overall. C and C appreciated.
