Has anyone heard if were getting another fairground set for 2016? The first 2, the Fairground Mixer and the Ferris Wheel were very nice sets and seemed like they were planning to do these annually. Any rumors?

There were many great MOCs during 2016. As is becoming a habit, and to celebrate some of Thirdwigg's favorite MOCs of the year, I present The Top 16 of 2016. Find out who won the coveted 2016 Thirdwiggy award. Enjoy, and feel free to let me know about your vehement objections to the list. Sorry for all the great ones I left out. Let me know what should have been included. Many thanks to Eurobricks for so many great designs and conversations over the year. I look forward to 2017.

So guys, in just2good's newest Catalogue Revisit video, at about 4:08, he mentioned while revisiting the Harry Potter pages that "these were the last wave of sets from the theme...until the ones being released later this year. Did I say that out loud?" Yes, he did! So, I say it's officially unofficially confirmed! He did say "sets" and not "Dimensions packs" or anything of the like. He, said, "sets." So, I know I'm excited! What about you guys? What are your hopes for the "return" of the theme later this year? I persoanlly expect a reveal at SDCC, but we can probably expect some tidbits from our trusty members with sources. Here's a link to the video: Edit: Mods, if you would, please add an "n" to the end of "Discussio." Thanks, typo.

Do you agree with brickfanatics?

Just an idea if the lego group decided to go with a more Nuva design for the 2016 toa using some of the Star Wars contraction pieces. I chose Gali as the subject cause she was the easiest to make. Current Batch is Batch 18!! Hello! 2016 has come and gone, and brought a lot of LEGO Star Wars minifigures with it. But what is the best LEGO Star Wars minifigure from 2016? Vote in the poll above, after a while, maybe a couple of days, I will create a new topic that has another set of minifigures! Credit to @Itaria No Shintaku for creating a similar game for CMFs and inspiring this topic. Here is the first batch! Today we have Rebels A-wing Pilot Admiral Ackbar Ahsoka Tano Baze Malbus Bespin Guard Bistan Vote away! Do comment with who you voted for and why EDIT: For some reason, I have problems voting on my own polls. My pick is Baze Malbus, though Ahsoka is a close runner-up. Let me know if you can vote on my polls or if my problem applies to everyone too. EDIT 2: I will remove the poll. Leave your pick in a comment below. Thanks!!

I've been making some additional 2016 season F1 cars to sit alongside the Ferrari F1 Speed Champions set (75879), first up is one of my favourite teams (despite their poor form in partnership with Honda), McLaren. This is my interpretation of their 2016 MP4-31 #14 driven by Fernando Alonso. The build was straightforward as it follows the standard Speed Champions F1 car build closely with just a couple of tweaks to nose and wing. The stickers were the biggest challenge as it's not possible to put all the logos in exactly the right place and scale. I didn't want any stickers to span more than one brick which limited things still further but I'm happy with the end result. Let me know what you think!

Hi As I am a visual person I put together this image. Prices are in euros and images are not at scale. If you spot any error just say it, please At a first glance, I am frankly surprised to see so little "old" yelow, red and blue around. The main motivation was the people complaining in the 2017 thread about a dissapointing year for Technic and I wanted to see the full picture. I had the feeling that there were less sets at the mid-range price, but it is not the case. I think that people just dislike each of this year's sets over 80 € because looking twice, the overall offer looks good. A point I dislike is that we are getting more sets in the expensive side than before

An Autumn version of one of my previous creations. I really should be building for Brickvention MOC but I really wanted to use my new LUGbulk parts! Now that Summer has drawn to a close, one of the oldest retirees of the Avalonian military has further settled down into his quiet retirement home on the coast of the southern part of Avalonia.

As you may or may not know, it has been announced that Lego will be releasing some player skin minifigures in 2 packs of four in September. Pictures have been released. http://brickset.com/article/22809/new-minecraft-minifigure-packs-announced This should sum it up. What do you think? Possibility of any more after these?

As they get nearer and nearer to the Arkbri river, two travellers, weary from there exhausting trek across the Oil Road, begin to see trees, and more signs of life sprouting up out of the barren desert. Overall, pretty pleased with how this sand technique turned out, pleased enough to order some more of the parts for my next large MOC!

Umarak the Destroyer is an ok set but he wasn't bulky enough for my liking. So I've made a few changes to him. They are as followed 1. Completely redesigned the torso so its much bulkier 2. Bulked up legs slightly 3. Removed claw gimmick so he can have poseable wrists. 4. Changed up the horns on the mask. I didn't like how Umarak's horns went away when he put on the Mask of Control so I combined them with the Mask of Control's horns. Umarak's horns are now gold. 5. Moved the jaw up so its not hanging down so far. With that out of the way here are pictures. View from all sides http://www.brickshel...destroyer_1.jpg http://www.brickshel...destroyer_2.jpg http://www.brickshel...destroyer_3.jpg Comparison with my Umarak the Hunter mod. One of him screaming from his transformation. The other holding the trans orange and gunmetal version of his mask http://www.brickshel...destroyer_4.jpg http://www.brickshel...destroyer_7.jpg Comments and criticism appreciated.

2016 has been a very successful year for LEGO Star Wars. There so far have been 37 Star Wars sets released (including the 9 sets to be released September 30th). They also made a new LEGO Star Wars TV show, The Freemaker Adventures which just aired its final episode. But 2016's UCS sets have sparked loads and loads of controversy, when the images and details of 75098 UCS Assault on Hoth it sparked outrage as many people though it costed way too much, didn't deserve the UCS title, and was a lazy attempt with so much incompleteness, and other complaints. The other UCS set is the 75159 UCS Death Star, it also has been criticized as a lazy attempt and a cash grab by LEGO. ^ 75098 UCS Assault on Hoth ^ 75159 UCS Death Star Set Reactions: Now I totally see everyone's point on 75098 and I think it was a very poor effort by TLG, but I differ from the majority on my opinion of 75159. I believe that 75159 is great, I have heard how upset people were when 10188 was discontinued, but it was very old and needed an update. Then when we got the update everyone is so outraged and upset with TLG for not changing it much. I see that people wanted something new, but 10188 was selling well for the 7.5 years it was being produced so why change it, everyone loved the set. Now I also see why people are upset about the price hike, but two factors called for it, first is that inflation sucks and accounts for roughly $50 of the increase, and second back in 2008 there was only LucasFilm with the rights to Star Wars, but now LEGO needs both Disney and LucasFilm licencing which isn't cheap, so it sucks but we know that this had to be done to continue to make profit. Also this might be slightly biased because I got to the LEGO and Star Wars buffet late and by the time I bought my first Star Wars set in late 2015 I was not yet big enough a fan to consider buying 10188, so I want 75159 badly an that is also my final reason for why there was nothing wrong with what TLG did with 75159, because there were so many more who wanted and couldn't get the original and we now have a second chance to get it. So leave your reactions to these two sets in the comments and May the Bricks be With You, Always.

Hello! Since, like many other, I've been super hyped for the LEGO Captain America Civil War sets, I thought I may as well do a little bit more extensive photo reviews of each set, along with the normal short ones that'll be in the main discussion thread. Let's start off with the Airport Battle set. __________________________________________________________ Name: 76051 Super Hero Airport Battle Piece count: 807 Price: $80 USD Figures: 6 regular sized, 1 microfigure, 1 brickbuilt macrofigure Release: March 1st worldwide (I found this at my Walmart, however) Video review: The Super Hero Airport Battle is the biggest set for the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Spring 2016 line of Captain America Civil War sets. It's garnered a lot of hype, and that's no surprise. Rarely do we get LEGO Marvel playsets, and the inclusion of characters like Giant Man and Agent 13 (both new) and updated version of Iron Man, Scarlet Witch, a micro Ant-Man, and War Machine will attract the collector fanbase that the theme has gained since its conception. But is it any good? Well, let's take a look at the sucker! First, I wanna take a look at the figures. The first six minifigures and the microfigure included are great for the most part. The microfigure Ant-Man is so cool! I love the little printing on him. I'm amazed there were able to put that much detail in such a small figure. The Iron Man is new, only because of the torso. War Machine is new because of all of his armor. The face is a bit disappointing. They could've easily used the Iron Man 3 War Machine face. It looks more like the actor than the choice they used- the Cyborg face from the DC line. I'm also REALLY happy with the new Scarlet Witch, who has a much more accurate hair piece (that only appeared in one other set in that color), a new torso, radar dishes to hold that represent her power (in the correct color this time, unlike her Age of Ultron set appearance), and a nice cloth coattail. She has the same face as last time and it's a good face that fits. Agent 13 looks good. I like the choice of hairpiece, which is a very uncommon mould. The torso print is new, and the face print is Leia's from the Imperial Shuttle of last year. Captain America is pretty disappointing, as he is the same version as last year, with no new printing. Not sure the smiling face fits, as all the other minifigures have at least one alternate angry face print. And, the Winter Soldier is the same as the Black Panther set. The new version has the face of Star Lord, but he has a new torso print for 2016. Here are some minifigure comparisons- comparing the new figures to their older counterparts! There's four builds of the set- including the big figure for Ant-Man. The Giant Man build looks good! I like how they captured the look of a minifigure. There's some parts I don't like, like the undersides of the legs (which show gray), the gaps in the sickers, and the backside which looks thing and bare. Of course, the latter two can't really be fixed because of the format of official LEGO sets (LEGO stopped stickers across multiple parts, and adding SNOT techniques to the back would bump up the price). The airport control tower build is satisfying. It's odd to have so many LEGO Airport sets in this year, but I'm glad we do. There's an exploding wall feature in the middle, and the bottom barrage of boxes has an exploding feature when you stick the microfigure Ant-Man in the mouse hole. I like the top build with the windows, where they use hinged plates to give it a nice curved look. Including a new Quinjet is pretty odd. We just got one last year, but this new one is smaller. About half the size of the last. It lacks the white the last one had, and the back space of the vehicle holds a string to eject a minifigure once the "door" is opened. The wings can be positioned as there's two hinged sessions, and there's three wheels as a part of the landing gear (I don't mind this that much, but people seemed bothered by it). There's a little luggage carrier as the final build. The wheels used and the dimensions of the vehicle remind me of a classic town vehicle. The boxes and suitcases have some really cool easter eggs on the stickers! See which ones you can spot. Overall, the Super Hero Airport Battle set has some really good parts, but there's also some annoying flaws. I think the airport tower is the best build. I don't think there's anything wrong with it. Giant Man looks good, but there's those three flaws I stated before that bug me. The mini-Quinjet is an odd inclusion, and the execution is alright. It's smaller and sleeker, but I don't like a lot of the edges on the vehicle and I think the white contrast on the previous version gave it a better look. The minifigure selection is probably the best part, but even then, it's odd that the set is lacking a new Captain America and the choice to have a different headpiece for War Machine confuses me. Overall, I'd give this set a B. I think kids will love this set, as it has a lot of stuff going on for its price, but adult collectors will probably be annoyed by many of the complaints I've pointed out. Thanks for reading. I'll reserve this post, for if the other reviews can't fit on the first post. They'll have much less pictures, trust me.
