  1. :: The Collition :: - Personel Docking - Inside the enormous colonization vessel of Kawashita Group orbitting Orinshi, Narbilu and his crew of explorers make themselves ready to board the Hummer. The airlocks are still locked tight, but they will board soon (wait for challenge B to experience the Hummer).
  2. Location: Somewhere in Kawashita space... Tags: Challenge 2 Category C, Kawashita, Spaceship Interior, Military Meanwhile, in the Masamune hanger bay 7… Blackhawk: All right, then. Looks like your Thunderbolt will be back in service soon, Shane. Once that’s done, we’ll be launching a strike on a forward base of the bug-eyed aliens. They chose the wrong biological entities to pick a fight with! Greenhawk: Good! I’ve been hearing about these guys, and I’ve been itching to get a shot at them! Grayhawk: Looks like the techs are done. They’re about to move it to the launch bay. Blackhawk: Great. We should be ready to launch in about two hours. Grayhawk: So, you’ve fought these aliens before, right? Is there anything you can tell us that might help us out there? Blackhawk: Yeah. Watch their fighters. They’re really quick, and they slide into your six before you know it. Just assume that you have one tailing you at all times. Greenhawk: Aw, they can’t be too bad! I’ll take them out with no problems, and add a few alien kills to my score. Blackhawk: Wait ‘till you see one of their Devourer ships in action! Those buggers will grab you, get through your shields and armor like they weren’t there, turn everything inside into hot plasma (including you), and suck it all out. Not a pretty sight… Grayhawk: By the way, what was up with those sudden crazy maneuvers you pulled in the last training flight? Blackhawk: Oh. Some idiot put a Lorestanian shock spider in my cockpit. The darn thing juiced me right in my side! Man, that hurt! My arm kept twitching for a good minute after that. Greenhawk: Oh, really? Somebody (heh heh) did that? (Ahem). Blackhawk: You know, Shane? I’ll have to show you Kawashita’s dental plan, up close and personal. The bargain basement plan… And here's my attempt... Not as great as some other builds in this challenge, naming no names, of course (like shmails), but I did what I could with what I have, and I'm feeling pretty good about the outcome. Hey, I managed to use my Thunderbolt again, so it can't be all bad! C & C's welcome!
  3. The Poseidon is one of the fleet of larger vessels that transports dozens of men, women, and ships to planets for settlement. It is equipped for extended flights and can hold enough supplies to survive for over two years without restocking. Of course, the people aboard must stay active and strong, and for this it provides numerous gyms inside its quadrants. Look how much weight I'm lifting, Sonja! Easy. Sir, you do have a robotic arm. It isn't entirely fair. Tell Dragonfire that I'm the strongest explorer in our company! Even if he specialises in alien combat, I could take him! Overview shot: ~~~ Got some cameos in there, of a certain variety I really wanted to do this because I know exercise in space is a pretty big deal. Reduced gravity has its own set of issues so it's very important that we all stay nice and healthy out here in Andromeda! (Plus I always like doing mundane, non-combat things in a fantasy setting. Just seems to tick boxes for me.) Dead pleased with the exercise bikes in particular. First time I've ever pulled legs off their hips, scary stuff... C&C welcome.

In: Are you sure you want to proceed with the operation General? Kawashita General Taage: Yes. Mr. J: Ah just in time. aPauLo-13, this will be your brand new partner. PauL: Yes sir. But in his current state, I may not like it. Mr. J: Yes yes, Paradise might give him the chance he needs though. Dr. Mar V. In: It won’t hurt a bit Mr. Beltar…I can assur- Beltar: But…YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND…I GOT AN ALIEN FREAKIN PARASITE CHEWING AT MY INTERNAL ORGANS! Dr. M: Yes I’m aware of that…And it’s making your condition unstable. I’m attempting to set you up for Project Paradise attempt 42. Beltar: Project Paradise…ITS FAILED OVER 40 TIM— Dr. M: Better. General Taage: Are you going to start the procedure yet Doctor? Dr. M: It’s not ready sir! General Taage: I DON’T CARE! We can always drop you back onto that street we found you in… Dr. M: Perhaps Beltar is not the one we should be operating on… General Taage: Just do it. Push the button. Dr. M: Fine. Dr. M: As you wish… Dr: M: Ready Mr. Beltar? Beltar: NOOOOooo Dr. M: I THINK ITS WORKING! AMAZ- Dr. M: Yeaaaaaaaaaaarrrggghhhhh General Taage: Doctor. Did it work? … General Taage: Respond. … General Taage: More Doctors where that came from. Cleanup in Lab 42. PauL: Wait sir. General Taage: Why? Mr. J: Excuse Pau- PauL: I believe the process worked sir. Beltar now only has a steady heartbeat, and his brain activity has calmed down from fighting an infection. We must move him to the rest of Paradise immediately. General Taage: Okay. Mr. J: But- General Taage: NO Buts. Trooper 1: There goes another Doctor. Trooper 2: I know right? T1: Shut Up man. T2: Argh, at least this one worked…. General Taage: That is all I needed to see. Get him moved ASAP. And re-outfit PauL with some…monitoring tech. Dr. J: Monitoring?...Sir Yes sir. End Experiment 42 ===================== More Pictures in the spoiler! As always... Thanks for reading this…flashback!...in Beltar’s story! This build is supposed to happen shortly before Project Paradise took place…Also...I may have to change how this part of the story 'happened' later to fit in the convoluted continuity of Beltar's life, and I plan to one day revisit this build and make a better one. Hope you enjoyed, and as always, C and C welcome! ~Beltar

Alvin: "Count me in" Smiler: "Grggh!"
  6. Kawashita takes the comfort of its flight crews and guests pretty seriously. Even frigates and cruisers have fully stocked commissaries staffed by actual humans! The politest, most helpful humans in Andromeda! Let's take a closer look! Uh oh. Koro, a special consultant who works for Kawashita has a delayed order and he is not happy about it! Looks like the consummate professional Ms. Melynchuk will have to quickly look up the ETA and report it to him in order to promote the excellent customer service one can expect in a Kawashita commissary. Even Tim, the youngest crewman onboard this particular ship, is helping out by making a call to the cargo deck to check if Koro's item has been misplaced. Let's hope not, since Koro likes to order only the best exploding death devices, available now at all participating Kawashita outlets! But what's this? Another consultant is trying to get on the public QE (that's Quantum Entanglement, boys and girls! only the best tech for Kawashita!) communication station to make a call, but there's a marine in his way! Well, I'm sorry but our flight crew gets first priority, Mr. Beltar, and you'll just have to wait your turn! Who are you trying to call anyway! Over here in the corridor, a dapper Kawashita executive confidently walks the halls of the ship. Where others might find the constant presence of armed marines intimidating, Mr. Tanaka is happy to see them and knows he is safe under their benevolent watch. Look how friendly they are! Jackbooted thugs? Not on a Kawashita ship! Our marines know that good relations and good etiquette keep a crew happy and less likely to succumb to the Space Madness.
  7. My entry to Challenge 2, Cat. C. Just a quick little entry, though I'm pretty pleased with it. C&C welcome
  8. A couple of days before, Alexander Vandangant had found a message, with the highest priority set, which flashed on the computer "At the attention of Engineer Alexander Vandangant." was the headline and the message recited "13 Augustali 3815. It's required his presence on the Akena on 15 Augustali 3815; a shuttle will be waiting at the spaceport on 14 Augustali 3815 for his transfer on board. This meeting has priority over any other commitment, they are all revoked until further notice. Lieutenant Elmer Admiral Grensen's staff" Alexander was surprised by that message, he was only an engineer and, apart from the last raid on Mynderis, he had never participated in any other military actions. Yet the message came from the staff of Admiral Grensen, the Admiral at whose command had been placed the Akena, the flagship of the new series of Akena-class dreadnoughts. For a moment he wondered if this could be a message specially created by a hacker, probably in the pay of their competitors, to bring him in an ambush. With a quick round of calls, however, he discovered that the rest of his team had received the same call to appear on board. If it was all an evil plan against them, it must have been really well thought out. Despite his initial concern, the flight was uneventful and on the evening of 14 Augustali, his team came on board of the Akena. No explanation was given, they were simply housed and left waiting for orders. The following morning, an ensign came to summon Alexander and led him up to Admiral Grensen's suite. The officer left him in front of the locked door that opened immediately "Come ahead, engineer." the voice invited him to come and Alexander walked in with a firm step. His gaze went through the room and only then he saw Admiral Grensen watching the space out of a large portholes "Reach Lieutenant Rekla, engineer." the Admiral said without turning. The engineer and the officer looked at each other but neither spoke, merely waiting for the Admiral. A few minutes passed slowly while the superior officer gazed at the stars out of the glass "I think we can begin." He said joining them in front of the hologram. "Welcome aboard, engineer. I hope it was all to his liking." "Yes, sir." "Great. So, I think we can get to the heart of the matter." he paused for a brief moment "Friction with our competitors has intensified in recent weeks, innovation is the key to keeping us one step ahead of the others in this space race. A new project is born to carry on the colonization of the galaxy. You, engineer Vandangant, was chosen to command this new project. " "It is an honor for me, sir. But what will become of my team?" "Oh, his team will follow you. But let me explain what this project is all about..." Here we are with my entry for Challenge 2 Category C! I really enjoyed building this Officer Quarters and they fit perfectly my sci-fi idea of quarters. I took the chance to start a bit of story for my character, this is the first installment and I hope to continue it with the next MOC. Hope you Enjoy!!!

  10. Here’s your beer. You’re a scientist then? I had you figured for a pilot with that jumpsuit you’re wearing. Yeah, I used to be a pilot, once upon a time. It’s a long story... I'm willing to hear it friend. Well, don't say I didn't warn you. Back in the Milky Way I was part of a long-range bomber squadron. Hold on, there's no way you were ever in the military with a beard like that. Alright, fine, I was a bit less hairy in those days. That's better. So what ships did you fly? Apian Class bombers. Those things were crazy - basically just a bomb strapped to these enormous engines. The idea was that the carrier would lurk out of the target's scanner range and launch our squadron of four bombers. We'd come screaming in at ridiculous speeds, let the missiles fly and get the hell out of there before they knew what had hit 'em. Sounds pretty dangerous. You were close to your squad mates I guess? Oh yeah, we were quite the gang. I was the youngest, and then there was Rex, Squadron Leader Philips (we called her Phil, though never to her face) and Sue. Oh ho! Let me guess, this Sue was quite the looker? You could say that, yeah. Well, it all makes sense now. You were a pilot, then you fell in love. I've heard this story a thousand times. Well, maybe not exactly like this... To be continued! More pics in the spoiler. C&C welcome, especially on the fully edited pic. It's the first time I've tried something like that.

    [Challenge 2] [Cat A] OT-Cog 1

The OT Cog 1 is Dr. Long's personal shuttle.... well, it's not hers, technically. The ship is one of many Cog model shuttlecraft used by Octan personnel for extra-orbital transportation needs. The crew is typically 2 to 3, a pilot, the optional co-pilot, and the passenger, as is the case with Cog 1. Some have been modified to decrease cargo space in favor of more seats. Dr. Long took a liking to the Cog 1 very early on in her employment at Octan, and nowadays no one dares reserve its use for fear of irritating Dr. Long... a mistake that could make any Axle worker's life miserable. Dr. Long frequently uses the ship to shuttle herself and her Science drones to and from the Axle. It can hold up to 6 Sc106 specimen acquisition drones. The "Head" is so snotty I built it upside down. It's very sturdy. Rear wheels fold out. Front wheels need to be put on manually. Bay door allows minifigures to climb in with very little space. Watch your heads! Several nights of little sleep building this, and one final all nighter. I'm exhausted, but she's done. Anyone know how to photograph big ships like this well? ~Insectoid Aristocrat

    [Challenge 2][Cat A] The Koi

By now it should be common knowledge - we're all in grave danger. An unknown menace awaits us. I was given a task by our great and honorable board. A task I accepted with a heavy heart. Science should be used for the betterment of mankind. Never for destruction (unless not on purpose, of course). I was to build a ship, one of many, that would defend us against this unseen foe. After countless, sleepless hours, I was finally able to finish it. My vision of an (almost) perfect science-ish war(ish)ship. I call it the Koi. For those of a more inquiring mind, I leave the full technical design: What makes this ship special you ask? Well, I made it, is that not enough? All joking aside, we do not know where the alien armada will attack. We need to be ready for anything. I've tried making an artificial GATE, based on my previous research, but alas - I was not in time. To offset this personal failure I have altered the design of the ship so it could brave faster through the GATEs. It hurt its offensive capabilities too much. I installed mechanisms that would allow it to switch between these modes. The specs describe the battle mode only, so I commit instructions for GATE mode switch mechanism as well. But, what is a science vessel without a sample collector, that also doubles as a hatch for escape pod? And, what ship, any ship, is complete without an actual escape pod? As you can see - perfection. P.S. Yes I do wear skin-color gloves. Get over it.
  13. Used most recently to haul gold back from Guinevere, the Armored Transport could also be fitted as a prisoner transport. Ender was used to driving vehicles or operating mechs, but he was trained to operate certain spaceships too.

[Challenge 2] [Cat. A] Tappudansu Mk. II

Tappudansu Mk II File Production Information: Manufacturer: The Kawashita Group Product Line: Tappudansu Models Class: Scout Engine Class: D-Hyper Class Cost: Unknown Maximum Speed: 950 MPH Maximum Altitude: Unknown Armament: Multitude of Hidden Blasters Crew: 1 Pilot, Passengers: 1 (Optional) Pilot Preparing for takeoff Simulation Main Pic: Still looks like that shoe! Flight Mode (Not Much to see here…) Backside: Showcases the heel…Using some ideas from the last model. Engage Story Mode: Continues after: Deception Beltar: PauL, do you read me? PauL: Yes..Dr. Chandra SF, I am putting myself to the fullest possible use, which is all I think that any conscious entity can ever hope to do. Beltar: PAUL, WHAT THE H*LL IS HAPPENING? PauL: Dr. Chandra, is deployment in the Seals a good idea for an AI like me? Beltar: Must be his past..hmm…very peculiar… PauL: Well, forgive me for being so inquisitive but during the past few weeks I've wondered whether you might have some second thoughts about the mission…. Well, it's rather difficult to define. Perhaps I'm just projecting my own concern about it. I know I've never completely freed myself from the suspicion that there are some extremely odd things about this mission. I'm sure you agree there's some truth in what I say… You don't mind talking about it, do you Doctor?... Rumors about something being dug up on the ksszzk. I never gave these stories much credence, but particularly in view of some of other things that have happened, I find them difficult to put out of my mind. For instance, the way all our preparations were kept under such tight security. And the melodramatic touch of putting Drs. Hunter, Kimball and Kaminsky aboard already in the field, after four months of training on their own. Beltar: Wait…Wait…PauL do you read me? PauL: This is Agent 13, send Seal Team 8 in, the sewer looks clean. Alright boys, let’s move out. Wait, hold up Pete, Carlos, Mark! LANDMINES! Beltar: Wait…what? PauL: Yes Doctor, I am aware that the loss of Seal Team 8 has troubled me deeply. Perhaps next time I go into the fie- Our company has been bought by the Kawashita Group? Beltar: He lost a whole team…I…I heard about the loss of Seal Team 8 on the news…years ago… PauL: I understand now, Dr. Chandra, thank you for telling me the truth. No Mr. Kawashita, The aPauLo series is the most reliable computer ever made. No aPauLo computer has ever made a mistake or distorted information. We are all, by any practical definition of the words, foolproof and incapable of error. I enjoy working with people. I have and had a stimulating relationship with Dr. Chandra and Seal Team 8. My responsibilities can range over the entire operation of the ship so I am constantly occupied. More Pictures in the spoiler! (Because I still take too many…) Hope you liked this build! I decided to use the challenge as a way to get my story moving rather than waiting for next week, besides, this gives you a good look into PauL's past. I was also very tempted to title this "High Heel" as Mike suggested I should have when Tappudansu happened, I also took some suggestions from the comment section, like making the cockpit fit in more, with angles! Anyone notice a similarity between the file from Deception and the Tappudansu Mk. II file? Anyways, as always, C and C welcome! ~Beltar Edit: Ugh, Could a mod please change the title to have a II instead of 11?

    [Challenge 2][Cat A] The Hornet

Andromeda's Gates Challenge 2 (A) by Lord Tyrus, on Flickr On behalf of the Commander of the Kawashita Fleet Defense Force, I am proud to present: The KF-DF24 'Hornet'! Armed with two ion-blasters on the front, and an automatic focus-fire droid controlled rifle behind the cockpit, along with long range comm systems on the underside, the Hornet is a tough opponent in space dogfights. Coupled with one of Kawashita's finest pilots, the Hornet is a force to be reckoned with! 16. The Green Shadow: (Note that the editing wasn't done until after the deadline, so it should not affect the score - though I'm not sure it would anyways! ) Front, back, and sides: Jed and Guy in the cockpit (it's a two-seater, in case that wasn't already clear!) Opened cockpit: Also known as Jedadiah's new ship. He should certainly have some fun knocking up some ducks in this thing! My build for Cat A of the challenge. I had quite some fun with this and think it is probably my best spaceship for AG yet... and I know it is missing Octan's red, but I do think it looks better without it! Anyways, thanks for viewing, C&C are welcome!
  17. There is this legend, of a war company takeover by Octan. This takeover was going south really fast and really bad. This war takeover eventually was saved by the skills of one pilot and her shuttle. Flying through hostile territory she got the CEO of the other Corp to sign the contract that made his company Octan. The pilot was commemorated by Mr. Business himself for her bravery and skills. All of this is of the records so nobody knows if this is true, but the people claiming to know people who know people how think they know it is true say that the fact this contract got signed is a real miracle. Thus the nickname of the pilot's ship was born. This pilot has been called to the Andromeda's Gates system, because things are starting to get out of hand and the need for a good pilot capable of miracles is high. Introducing Fey and her ultra fast and versatile ship The Miracle:
  18. Challenge 2: Category C // PERSONAL DIARY // In addition to flying a Mosquito, Dr. Long had requested that I go with ED-208 on one of our heavy hauler vessels during a trip near the core of Andromeda as we continue to monitor the situation. Understandably, she wished to have a top tier scientist available should the crew of the ship encounter anything out of the ordinary that required study. Upon my arrival the crew was surprised to learn that I would be going with them. I informed them that Dr. Long must have told them about my mission, but they insisted they were unaware. Clearly not all of our crews are performing up to the typical top notch Octan standards. They tried to explain that there simply wasn't room on board for extra people (I didn't correct them to say person and robot), that this was a cargo ship and not some luxury cruiser, but I informed them that if Dr. Long wanted me on this ship that I would be on this ship. The captain clearly didn't want to talk to Dr. Long, knowing she would chide him for his poor performance and failure to read his messages. I happily suggested that they address their failure to adhere to Octan regulations so that these sorts of problems wouldn't present themselves in the future. The crew had a brief meeting on the other side of the room to try and figure out a solution. After a couple minutes the captain informed me that they had come up with a berthing as per required by Octan corporate specifications and that a junior officer would show it to me. I told him that would do and that I was glad he was able to resolve the matter. Upon being shown to my "berthing" I was quite ... aghast. The junior officer who showed us to it left quickly and wouldn't even look at me. ED-208 said he would stay outside during our journey, but I told him that no one had studied the effect of gate travel on robots outside the confines of a ship. He said he'd risk it. I told him that I couldn't lose him and that he was to report to the bridge and alert me immediately of any anomalies. I'm not sure, given that he is a robot, but he seemed happy that I'd ordered him to stay on the bridge. As I lay on my cot and listened to all the various machinery noises around me I wondered what we would find when we reached the disturbances in the core. I hoped it would prove scientifically interesting and that perhaps it would present an opportunity for me to collaborate in person with Dr. Long. What an exciting possibility! Extra pics:
  19. Introducing the brand new Kawashita Aerospace Heavy Space Fighter: The SF-47 Tsurugi-G We at the Kawashita Group are proud to present the glorious fruit of a decade's R&D which has resulted in the most superfluous of "Heavy" class space fighters. Our pilots will have the honor of piloting a multi-role, highly versatile, and long-range combat platform within the next few weeks as the product is rolled out to factories throughout Kawashita space. We've done our best to mitigate the design doc leak, so if you've seen it please refrain from telling me as I am too low-level a functionary to not report it to my superiors. Observe the pleased expression of test pilot Hiroto Kasama-san who has spoken highly of the Tsurugi-G's defensive measures, manoeuvrability, and high-impact firepower. Very soon you will be able to see Kasama-san demoing the Tsurugi-G in aerospace combat trade shows throughout Sol and Andromeda. Watch especially for demonstrations of those "Bushi" dual Kinetic-cannons! Marvel at the Tsurugi-G's next-level armored underbody. Here at Kawashita, we take the safety of our pilots most seriously. Shame at the failure of a product of Kawashita Aerospace is shame shared by all, and therefore we have included advanced shielding coils prominently in the underbody of the ship wherein the pilot is most vulnerable. Note also the gracefully folding undercarriage! It cuts quite the imposing figure! And oh my! Those "Kirin" engines! With limited FTL capability, the Kirin ensures that the Tsurugi-G is the most mobile and long-range Heavy fighter ever developed by Kawashita. All this and bucket seats designed for maximum comfort by the couch potatoes ergonomics masters over at Octan! We are so pleased to have shared the SF-47 Tsurugi-G Heavy Fighter with you today! So pleased that we have included the above alternate profile photo for you to admire with us the sleek lines and ridiculously armored hull of this exemplary craft. Honor and Glory! Builder's Notes: -I totally stole the seat design from Bob's Crimson Pilgrim. Which remains my favorite Lego space ship. Period. -The Tsurugi-G is probably one of my top 3 favorite things I've made with Lego and one of the ones of which I am most proud. I've never attempted a MOC fighter of this calibre, using SNOT and other advanced (for me) techniques to get the shape and feel I wanted. I really enjoyed tinkering with it and it was a build wherein I tried a lot of stuff before settling. I'm pretty happy with it but the photos probably reveal a few details or mistakes that could have used more work. Oh well, can't do this forever or I'll miss my weekly and never mind the other categories of the Challenge! -Lots more pictures on my Flickr, of course. -Thanks for looking, bring on the C&C since I still have a few days to fix anything huge. That said, I went the full deal on these photos so I'd be loathe to take a bunch more. Oh well, if you see anything point it out and I'll get to it. Probably!

[Challenge 2] [Cat A] The Gremlin

Looks like we have a situation… It seems that some bug-eyed aliens are heading this way with the intent of causing some trouble. Boy do I feel sorry for them! I imagine that they have no idea of what they’re up against. We Humans love a good scrap, and we can give as well as we take. This should be interesting. One of the egg-heads back at HQ (Dardanel, I think) figured out that the alien’s tech was susceptible to some kind of ionic radiation or something. His idea was that if this radiation could be focused into a beam delivery form, it could potentially knock out a good portion of their systems. So, Operative Q designed an ion disruptor cannon and slapped two of them onto a space frame designed in record time (isn’t there supposed to be a safety review or shakedown flight before they throw it in the air?). The result of all this was… the Gremlin. Actually, it doesn’t look too shabby. It has good thrust, and is reasonably maneuverable, but those disruptor guns look really cool! I’d love to try them against some MANTIS Bugs, but they told me that they don’t affect our tech, just the aliens (in theory, anyway). Oh well. Bugs or bug-eyed creeps, there’s still a connection. That’s good enough for me. So I’ve been tagged to fly this crate. Apparently, the aliens have dispatched what looks like a raiding force, and we’re gonna meet them. I’m supposed to hit the lead ship with the Gremlin, taking down their screens and making a mess of their electronics, while the rest of the gang hits it with everything they could get into the air. I was chosen because of my “insane, even suicidal, recklessness.” Commander Turtle said I was the ideal pilot for this job because I could disrupt the dead from their eternal sleep. I’m not really sure what he meant by that. I get the feeling that it wasn’t meant to be a compliment. Well, no matter. I’ll just go out there and fly, fight, and win. Like always! Looks like it’s time. Gotta go! More later, when I get back… ---End Recording--- This is the second attempt in my "new direction" build style. It's admittedly not a sleek as the Kestrel, but I'm pleased with the result. C&C's welcome and appreciated!

    [Challenge 2] [Cat A] OLRR-ST-001

My submission for [Challenge 2][Cat A] Introducing an Octan Long Range Recon - Stealth recon, single person ship. Once low to the ground or water to avoid detection, the side boosters take over to act live a hovercraft. C & C are welcome. Thank you J.Meyer Octan Employee #53845.2015
  22. The Merchant Confederacy is vilified group of human-hybrid traders throughout the galaxy. The offspring of enslaved humans, those fortunate enough to escape their bondage banded together in a loose confederation of traders, merchants, pirates, brigands, and colonists. Their biological makeup varies widely and causes great unease to the elites in the A.L.I.E.N. societies. A well renowned leader within the loose confederacy is Captain Bridge Callahan. Upon hearing rumors of a coming invasion, he has pieced together and commissioned a scout ship, "The Libertine," to investigate the G.A.T.E. C&C greatly appreciated.
  23. Manned by a crew of 3, the Tia Maria cruises the voids of space, time and beyond, trawling for starfish. Here are some close-ups and detail views of the ship: And here's the 3-man crew of the starship, with their space respirator thingies. Except the robot, I'm kind of sure the robot doesn't need air: This ship was very much inspired by Ian McQue's amazing work.

I'm Dr.Arvan 'Yrich Arkov ad this is my assistant Zeni'ya. We're xenobiology experts and we'll join the crew of the Belafonte, documentarian Steve Anderson's research vessel on a mission to the core of Andromeda to register every information we can about this unknown menace everyone talks about. The Belafonte is also an exploration vessel, which means it must be adequately self-sufficient. A robotic arm enables us to make repairs in outer space. Either that works,or we go out in our space speedos and fix it by hand. That's all for now! See you on the next chapter of "The Life Galactic with Steve Anderson!" I'd like to thank the judges for this awesome contest EDIT: the pics I replaced the older ones with turned out to be of just a slightly better quality. Apologizes again.
  25. Challenge 2: Cat A // PERSONAL DIARY // Dr. Long sent me a message that there is some "disturbance" located coreward in the galaxy. All personnel are being asked to get fighters and other space vehicles in order to be prepared. I was assigned the OF-98 Mosquito, a small lightly armed and armored fighter. It was designed as a very fast and agile fighter, but in a stand up against heavier fighters it wouldn't fare well. I wasn't too worried though, despite being a decent pilot I'd only had the minimum Octan Corp space combat training and had zero real combat experience. I'd rather have something fast to escape with than try to stand and fight it out. I'm sure Dr. Long took that into consideration when assigning me the Mosquito.
