    Galactic Warfare

This is more about the story being told rather than an amazing creation, the picks are more like a visual support to the events being narrated (thou I had to build some of the environment objects and ignoring that the events depicted here happen in a very sleek surfaced planet with a yellowish atmosphere). To make your journey a more delightful experience I added links to Star Wars music according to the situation (beware of those d@$# ads). Song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPCPw1dww3E ”Gentleman, You have been chosen to complete a very important task, I am General Reegar, and our mission consist on capturing a well defended planet near to the outer rim that shall remain secret until the orders are given, meanwhile you will be briefed into your specific roles during the attack. 01 por Nom Carver, en Flickr The planet is well defended and prepared to counter any space assault or land attack, in space they have deployed a cruiser filled with snub fighters while on the surface the city is protected by an ion cannon, a tight anti-air defensive turret grid and a powerful deflector shield. 02 por Nom Carver, en Flickr In order to break these defenses we developed a plan that consists of three phases: Phase one: Covert Op First, the storm commandos will move into the planet on board of a smuggler ship, an old YT-2000 corelian transport that will land on the far side of the planet so they can carry the explosives and equipment that they require into the city without any suspicions. 03 por Nom Carver, en Flickr Once they have infiltrated into the city, they will retrieve as many intelligence as possible and prepare to sabotage the ion cannon energy supply so that the fleet can arrive safely. 04 por Nom Carver, en Flickr With the ion cannon partially disabled, the attack can begin, coordination is vital in this phase to avoid the ion cannon to be repaired in time to counter the assault, the fleet must arrive in the precise moment of the generators destruction. 05 por Nom Carver, en Flickr Song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3IIeNorhVU Phase II: Asault The fleet must be prepared to attack, while the destroyers take offensive positions to disable the enemy cruisers shields, fighters and bombers take off to eliminate as many turrets before their own fighters respond to the attack. 06 por Nom Carver, en Flickr The TIEs must drive the attention away from landing crafts heading to the surface or into the enemies hangar, destroying as many as possible before they can be overrun by their fighters giving the landing crafts enough time to stop their arrival. 07 por Nom Carver, en Flickr The Imperial landing crafts that manage to sneak into the hangar can disable the fighters before they take off and deploy commandos to sabotage the cruiser from within or claim it for the empire (very unlikely). 08 por Nom Carver, en Flickr Without a Cruiser to support, the enemy fighters won’t stand a chance and therefore opening an opportunity to the ground forces to reach the surface. Song: Phase III: Landing With the way clear, the land vehicles can proceed to march into the city, but to do so they have to land on a safe location away from the anti-air guns range, in order to penetrate the shields perimeter, the land vehicles must be either have wheels or legs, in this case we chose AT-ATs and AT-STs . 09 por Nom Carver, en Flickr The AT-ATs, with their high position, can destroy many of the enemy’s artillery before the scout walkers or the infantry move into their effective range while the AT-STs protect them from dangerous infantry rides below. After the battle of Hoth, we learned that AT-ATs are vulnerable to towing cable maneuvers, for that reason if one of these vehicles is caught by this maneuver it must not move any further until the cable is cut. 10 por Nom Carver, en Flickr The main attack should work as a distraction for the imperial commandos to move in and further sabotage the enemy positions, specifically the shield generator. 11 por Nom Carver, en Flickr Once the skies are clear, air support can arrive and the destroyers can shoot an orbital strike on key targets. 12 por Nom Carver, en Flickr With the enemy positions weakened, the commandos can proceed to take down the high profile target (enemy commander); while the land troops can deal with the remaining resistance that won’t last long without their lead. 13 por Nom Carver, en Flickr As soon as we take control over the city we must try to repair the ion cannon to avoid being overrun by enemy reinforcements. Song: 14 por Nom Carver, en Flickr This is the way we should proceed in order to succeed, Do you have any doubts regarding to the plan? Fine, dismiss. ” I hope you liked it, comments and criticism are welcome.

    Forngord Castle

My last free build for chapter 1 of Historica. My little brother helped me a bit with this, and it is our largest build (footprint wise anyway ) yet. There is a full interior to the castle, and quite a few of the doors/trapdoors work. Joktan, Jayan, Erastus, Dedan, and Kenan, along with the Hradcanny dwarves are attacking Forngord Castle. The castle, located in southern Mitgardia, has been long abandoned, but recently the Hand of Corruption has taken residence there: Quite a few more pics here: link I think this is either my favorite or second favorite build, tied with my Fortress of Cameria build. Any C&C appreciated, the first chapter of GoH has been awesome and here's to an even better second chapter!

[MOC] Warhammer 40000: Battle in the Ruins

Hello Eurobricks! I am a huge fan of Warhammer 40k and have two armies: the Eldar and the Imperial Guard. Here is my small MOC based on the Warhammer 40000 universe. It represents the battle between human Space Marines and mysterious elf-like aliens known as Eldar. The battle rages in a ruined city on the one of billions of Imperial worlds. Noble Space Marines of Crimson Fists Chapter defend the planet from the alien invasion: The Eldar Farseer, the master of psychic war and sorcery, avenges for murdered fellow Ranger: Original ruins from Warhammer 40000 on which the MOC is based: LEGO ruins without the minifigures: The stained glass: The window can be "broken": Here come the minifigures. I decided to make Eldar without their iconic helmets because clone ones and other don't fit. Two Farseers: The cats are called Gyrinxes. They are really psychic animals that can increase psychic abilities of their owners. The Eldar Ranger: Eldar Rangers are outcasts of Eldar craftworlds who serve as snipers on the battlefield. Original Rangers: Space Marines are the genetically engineered super-soldiers of the far future. For them I used almost unchanged Galaxy Patrol collectable minifigures: Original Crimson Fists Space Marine: And the last but not he least - the Imperial Guardsman, an ordinary human soldier with a lasgun: Original Cadian Guardsmen: Thank you for watching! Comments and criticism are welcome.

    Assault on the Underworld 2

One of many MOCs I will be bringing to Brickfair VA this August. This creation shows the ultimate battle between good and evil. Who will prevail? For those who don't know, this is based on some of my earlier work only more portable and less reliant on lighting effects. (LCC)[Moc] Restoring Justice

This is my entry to the 4th Global Challenge of the Lands of Classic Castle Roleplay. Mark of Falworth and his mighty host laid siege to the equally mighty Lenfel fortress that barred the way to Stonewald. After five days of constant artillery bombardment, the walls were breached only slightly. Just enough for two men to pass through at a time. The Loreesi had a severe time pressure, for to delay even for a week would give the armies of Lenfald time to gather in such force that there would be no chance of escape. So, Mark of Falworth hatched a bold plan. As there was no time to build a battering ram or siege tower, Mark equipped his War Elephants with short ladders so that they became living armored siege towers! And dismounting his Heavy Knights and re-mounting them on the elephants placed his finest fighters within easy reach of the fifteen-foot high wall. The infantry charged towards the tiny hole in the wall, which was thickly filled with furious Lenfels. To clear this obstacle they shot Loreesi fire from a portable tube-pump. The surviving Lenfels hastily withdrew into the courtyard. And on top of all this, five Areani Knights suddenly appeared out of nowhere behind the walls and began cutting down the astonished Lenfels still trying to defend the breach. All these factors combined led to the remarkably speedy overthrow of a castle that was once deemed impenetrable. And Mark of Falworth continued on his quest... ...For the Glory of Loreos! Also check it out on Flickr! And be sure to check out the Video! Thanks for viewing and have a great day! :)
  8. Hello everyone! I got a lot of requests for a scene with Durge, so here it is: the first big duel between Obi-Wan Kenobi and Durge during the Battle of Muunilinst from the original Clone Wars series! Obi-Wan vs. Durge by Oky - Space Ranger, on Flickr Surrounding them are the burning debris of the Muunilinst buildings and Obi-Wan's split speederbike which Durge used to attack him with. Obi-Wan vs. Durge back by Oky - Space Ranger, on Flickr Durge uses all kinds of weapons and gadgets against Kenobi, including blasters and small round energy shields. Obi-Wan vs. Durge side by Oky - Space Ranger, on Flickr Here's a close up of the two duelists. I didn't push Durge's head down all the way on purpose to give him the tall look that he has in the show. Obi-Wan Kenobi & Durge by Oky - Space Ranger, on Flickr Obi-Wan eventually manages to cut Durge into pieces, but the fight is far from over... 9. This is my build for the fourth global challenge in the Lands of Classic Castle project. The tower is built off of click hinges, and while I have seen other towers built off of those, I haven't seen any in this design. The assignment was to rebuild a MOC by someone else in your own style: this was the build I was assigned to redo: http://www.flickr.com/photos/lord_woodz/8395916474/in/pool-thelandsofclassiccastle/ And our factions are at war so I showed the tower under attack: More pics here: http://brickbuilt.tk/GC4.php All C&C appreciated

    [MOC]The Battle of Drearcliff Pass

Built for the "Epic Contest!" over on Flickr. The empire of Brigadar, with their usual ferocity and cruelty, took by storm the smaller nation of Lietemi. Few escaped the occupation, but a very few did. Including the crown prince Connura, who fled to the kingdom of Anselm for safety. The Brigadarians demanded that Anselm return the prince or suffer the consequences! Anselm refused to send the noble prince to his certain doom, the Brigadarians promptly declared war and attacked the knights of Anselm at Drearcliff pass! Can the heroic knights of Anselm defend themselves from the awful onslaught..... .....Or will they to succumb to the terrible knights of Brigadar!? See all the pictures in the Flickr set, or on Mocpages! Thanks for viewing and have a great day!

    The Siege of Troy

Achilles chased the Trojans to their city. The gods, seeing that he had killed too many of their children, decided that it was his time to die. He was killed after Paris shot a poisoned arrow that was guided by Apollo. --------------------------------------------------------------- Yeah, never anger the gods kids... This scene is loosely based on the actual Siege of Troy. I don't really know much about the story, and I haven't read the whole thing yet so if it's not 100% accurate just enjoy the build. More pictures on Flickr! http://www.flickr.co...in/photostream/ Thanks for viewing and have a great day!
  13. A CALL TO ARMS! The Battle of Queenscross (This is a separate call for soldiers from the one in the Kaliphlin thread a month or two back. Those soldiers were used for something else entirely, but if they want to make a “stop” in Queenscross first, it can be arranged) In all directions the messengers rode, evading Victor’s forces where possible. In every town and village they read their message from Paulos MacLean, General of the allied forces at Queenscross. It states: “Come ye brothers and sisters, for one of Revolword’s greatest armies have come to Queenscross to force their way into the south. We need any available soldiers, adventurers, sorcerers, to make haste to Western Queencross immediately. No money can be awarded, but glory in troves shall surely follow the victor of this battle. The cities beyond the Arkbri River lay in danger if the mighty span as Queenscross falls into the hands of Revolword. Moreover, this is one of the largest assemblies of men under the traitor’s banner in all of historical. Now would be a fortunate time to strike them from this world. So, I Paulus MacLean, call to every able bodied person to make their way to Queenscross. We can not let it fall. ” (IF you don’t need caught up, skip to next section) The Road So Far: A few months back, Victor splithis forces into three known columns and marched them towards Mpya Stedor, Queenscross, and Albion. The first force was repelled by DaMaximus. The second force waited about 50 miles outside of Queenscross, no one knowing their true plan. The third force, we Kaliphinites have lost track of, and hope that Avalonia has repelled these foes. The force moving towards Queenscross is assumed to have their ambitions set on taking the great bridge over the Arkbri River in that city. It is the fastest way to move troops and leads up the capital road to where that road scales the Great Escarpment. This is one of the few easier ways into the heartland of Kaliphlin, and the innocent oasis dwellers beyond. The final defense once at the escarpment is the Jackal’s Teeth. Between Queenscross and the Jackal’s Teeth, Kaliphlin has been well protected over the last few centuries, until now. Queenscross was partially decimated by the Elemental menace 8 months back, when the Victor crisis began. The eastern half of the city was almost completely annihilated, making the bridge a poorly defended target, and weakening the first defenses of Kaliphlin’s interior. DSC_2031 by skaforhire, on Flickr Dugal MacLean gathered an army to counter Victor’s at Queenscross, and with the blessing of the city’s leaders (the Triumvirate), he was made General of all Allied Forces defending the city. Between Dugal and the Triumvirate, it was decided that the Bridge would be the fall back point of the battle and the last defense of the city. However, Victor’s troops stopped 50 miles from Queenscross to gather reinforcements and to try and feign movements to throw the allies off. One of those feigns two months ago led to the ambush and death of Dugal, and his brother Paulos took over as commander. The Plan Meanwhile, DaMaximus had defeated the Drow threat to Mpya Stedor, and this allowed him to dispatch the King Dragonius XXV of Drakrydar and a good army to Queenscross. Paulos and Dragonius decided that the king’s main force would ride south on the East Bank of the Arkbri River and keep the enemy army from fording the river south of the bridge. It yet remains to be seen if the King will stay in Queenscross for the final defense or lead his own men in the defensive fight south of the city. Also, with the Southern Lions freed up, Gex Marmota dispatched them to Queenscross for support. Meeting with Paulos, the Triumvirate, and Dragonius, the Southern Lion’s commander, Count Darzag told them of his orders to protect the Jackal’s Teeth, which were currently undermanned. The leaders decided not to put all of their hopes on the back of the battle of Queenscross, and the Southern Lions moved to reinforce the Jackal’s Teeth. Darzag left a small contingent of trusted Lions to act as a personal bodyguard for Paulos in battle. A few weeks passed with little difference in the enemy’s forces 50 miles away, they gained men, they lost men to attrition, they sent some small armies off to scavenge, but just last night a scout came back reporting that something was happening. Victor’s forces were dividing into two, but the much larger force was heading straight for the city. The second force seemed to fall to the Southwest. A member of the Triumvirate had realized what had happened first. “They waited until the wet season when we would be least defended, and the river its highest.” He told Paulos. Durring the wet season men had to tend to their irrigation systems back on the surrounding farms, and urbanites had to make sure the floodwalls were holding. Many conscripted men had already left the allied forces to tend to the needs of their homesteads. Warriors were needed badly, and the estimate was that they only had just under a week to get them! Paulos sent out a message to all those who would listen, pleading for support. How this works: This will be very similar to the Battle of Khordeem, my brother and I ran last year. Basically, the battle will be fought out as a wargame, using rules that my brother and I have been working on for a LONG time. (This is also a playtest for us.) It will take a few days to get all the way through, but should prove to be epic. The plan is simple. The call has gone out by raven , magic and other means to the far ends of Historica. Help is needed at the battle of Queenscross. If you wish to join the battle, send your small troop by mage, boat, or land to Queenscross. Some may make it for the start of the battle, and others might join in the thick of it as reinforcements. Anyone that signs up while the battle is still going, we will try to get into the battle. All we need is a pledge of men (1-10, although 10 may be hard to represent on the battlefield; the ideal number is squads of 5). I will try to represent your figures as closely as possible, but it might be hard to accurately represent some heroes or your actual men’s uniforms. (we can always chalk it up to artist’s interpretation) We will then give your men (or women!) stats and bring them into battle. They will then fight in the battle to see if they can help repel Victor’s forces. If your hero or your men are known for a certain weapon style or ability, include it in your pledge. We will try to accommodate this in your character’s stats. You may want to also show us a picture of who you are sending, if you want us to try and replicate them. WARNING: The soldiers you send may die – if you send a hero, you might want to tell us you would prefer they fell wounded or are likely to retreat. It is all luck of the dice (much like the tournaments that have been held) The battle won’t start until next weekend, but I will keep checking the forums for new recruits and can add people all the way until the battle is done – probably (next)Monday morning. So if you don’t make it before the battle, sign up at any point in the weekend too. Anyway, I hope some of you will heed Paulos’s call to arms and join us for the Battle of Queenscross One last thing, I am looking into a way of possibly setting up a live feed that would allow builders to check in and see what their heroes are doing. Also… I might even start up a twitter account for the battle where you can get live updates and suggest maneuvers for your soldiers or to the commander. At least that is something I am looking into doing that could make it quite fun and interactive. UPDATE: For better or for worse, I have set up a twitter account for the battle. it is @skalego

    High Tide Vengeance...

A continuation of my pirate story. Previously. After Mark of Tortuga and his crew escaped the clutches of the Spanish soldiers, the Spanish Captain addressed his first officer thus, "Tal suerte horrible! The laggards have escaped us this time!-" The first officer interrupted "But not for long Signor! We can row ashore and finish the dogs off, yez?" "An excellent idea, Fernando! Have the men get the boats ready at once!" And so the majority of the Spanish troops rowed to the island. Meanwhile, the pirates saw what the Spanish were up to. Captain Mark called a 'war council'. "The Spanish will be comin' after us soon after that warm reception they gave us! But we'll chastise them for their churlish actions! Soon as they be enterin' this here clearing, we'll surround them from all sides at my signal." "What be the signal, Cap'n?" "A bullet to the first enemy head sighted!" Captain Mark snarled. To be continued. Arrr.. Thanks for viewing and have a great day!

    Blasted Ashore!

[pid][/pid]231D A continuation of my pirate story. Previous. "Put your backs to it, lads! We may just escape the land-lubbers yet!" What captain Mark said was true, the pirates' rowboat was drawing close to the shoreline. And none too soon, for a Spanish galleon surged along the coast, trying desperately to get in firing position! As the pirates sprang ashore, Preston the first mate roared "Avast, ye swabs! Lively, now, to the jungle, before they can-" (KA-BOOOM) The bow of the pirates' rowboat shot upwards as the stern splintered from the cannonball's impact. A few of the crew were launched onto the beach when the rowboat was so unceremoniously landed. The pirates, with many oaths, scrambled into the greenery as more cannon shot crashed through the palms. Captain Mark stumbled through the underbrush. "Arrr! The Spaniards will pay mightily for this brandish insult! By the powers, them scalawags will learn that crossing Mark of Tortuga means death!!" .............. To be continued. Arrr.. More to come! Thanks for viewing and have a great day! 16. Built for the Heroes Guild of LCC, Level: Journeyman(2) "Your hero slaying a monster." Mark of Falworth won a major victory in the Siege of Lost Souls, The Outlaws were thrown from the massive walls and the fierce Dragon was finally forced to flee before the swarms of knights. The casualties were numerous on both sides. And the Castle was soon abandoned by the crusaders as they didn't want to leave a garrison behind in enemy territory. A fortnight later, Mark of Falworth and his companions Vaasco Suariz and Gonsaluus Petri (both valiant knights of the realm) were on a simple reconnaissance mission, when they spotted a huge object in the sky. They quickly realized it must be a Dragon, indeed it was the very one they had faced only a little while ago. It was careening right towards them! Vaasco shouted, "Forsooth, my liege! Let us with due expedience make our way towards yonder thicket that we mayest avoid the fierce Dragon, which would seek to do us grievous ill!" "Nay," replied Mark, "For yonder dragon did accept battle on my terms, so will I accept battle on his terms..." Gonsaluus interrupted, "But sir, verily even the bravest of knights would not dare to battle a dragon single-handedly, especially considering every knight's life is needed for the cause." “Thou speakest wisely Gonsaluus, but this dragon, surnamed ‘the cunning’ for his shrewdness of brain, can still be defeated by clever stratagem.” Mark winked at his companions, then dismounted from his horse in one fluid motion and marched alone towards the beast. The dragon, with a great flurry of its wings, landed a few yards away and breathed a blast of flame at the knight. But Mindarus the dragon was too far away for the fire to have any effect. Especially since Mark of Falworth was clad head-to-foot in steel plate armor... Mark jeeringly called out to the monster, "I bid thee good day, fine fellow. But, sink me, I cannot feel the heat of your fire! are thou still out of breath from the beating I gave you two weeks ago?" Hearing this rebuff, The Dragon lunged forward with a furious snarl, And inhaled deeply so as to scorch Mark to a crisp! Mark leaned back as if about to be struck... And at that instant, just before the Dragon breathed forth the flame, he hurled his sword straight into the throat of the vile creature! The monster reared back in shock and pain. Then, turning its head to the heavens, let loose a roar which shook the earth for miles around as blood and fire shot towards the sky. With a low moan and a deep shudder, the beast slammed into the earth, its head at the feet of the triumphant knight. As the brightness faded from the dragon's eyes, Mark said "Take no offence, sir dragon, But thine head will make a most worthy present to the King." And so the evil dragon, Mindarus the Cunning, was defeated by the equally cunning Mark of Falworth For the Glory of Loreos! Thanks for viewing and have a great day!

(LCC) The Siege of Lost Souls

(LCC){GC3} Part 2 Part 1 The Prince of Loreos instructed Mark of Falworth to take a strong body of troops to the south of the terrible Magic Island, and there besiege a certain fortress of great strength and evil reputation... After a brief barrage of artillery both sides quickly realized that the walls and towers were much too strong for the small amount of catapults that the crusaders had brought overseas. So, after a fortnight's labor, the besieging army constructed movable towers and ladders to scale the walls of the castle. The well-trained, iron-clad knights of Loreos fearlessly charged towards the enemy walls! Arrows, war-cries, and screams filled the air as the ladders were thrown in place. Meanwhile, the great siege towers rumbled their way forward. The defenders' arrows and javelins were useless against such machinery. Just as the siege tower bridge slammed onto the parapet, and the victory of the crusaders seemed certain, lo and behold, a mighty dragon swooped in and crashed onto the wall. It spewed a searing hot stream of flame right into the astonished knights! Taken by surprise, the knights nevertheless dauntlessly resumed their charge, straight towards the ferocious beast! In this siege of Lost Souls, who shall prevail? _________________________ This was so fun to make! I haven't built a big siege in a while. See more pictures on Flickr.

During the first Outlaw Crusade, Loreesi and Lenfel fleets scoured and harassed the coasts and the swamps and marshes of the Outlaws. They attacked any vessels they met. Here we see two Loreesi war galleys chasing down some smaller outlaw craft. This one was so much fun to build! :D I like nothing better than palmtrees and war galleys filled with knights! ;)
