Batman (DC Superheroes) 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

I hope they wont go with thw Batgirl/Batman bs I also hope Harvey Dent will appear as such for a couple of seasons before turning into TwoFace. I want to see more of their friendship before he becomes a villain
  3. Brakes on an esc means that a motor won't change rotation direction in an instant. With breaks an esc will first use the motor to slow down/break and only if you stand still and then push the throttle into reverse again, the motor will spin in reverse. Boats or tracked vehicles(tanks) mostly don't have breaks as they either drive slow or don't have much force applied if directions are changed. About your speed, check the battery voltages(each cell) and internal resistance(check online about lipo health). Any decent charger(not usb) can do such checks. Just to make sure the LiPo is still good as yeah they age and don't like to be stored full or empty. Else the motor could have gone to hot wich can damage the coils or magnets, degradin performance. Had a testdrive with a 3652 motor and a total reduction of 8:1 and a car of about 1.5-2kg. And it got quite warm. So my main concern about the 2445 or smaller motors is that they could get quite hot if used in any vehicle in the 1kg+ range. After all that scale is mostly used in 1:16 or smaller rc cars.

LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

There's a pretty big flaw in this argument- it's not whether or not kids have the internet browsing ability to navigate the bricklink website- it's A: whether or not they know about it (This applies to parents to, i've had internet-savvy, lego-purchasing parents I've interacted with who had trouble understanding bricklink even after I explained it to them), and more importantly B: whether or not their parents are comfortable with them using it. I know parents who aren't comfortable with their kids using bricklink, and I know parents who don't want their kids buying secondhand or loose figures instead of the on-shelf sets, whether it's due to lack of trust in the site/sellers, not wanting their kids to spend the money solely on figures (this is a real thing I've run into), or other reasons. But there's also the simple fact that bricklink is secondhand. A lot of people don't like buying secondhand, or at the very least prefer buying things firsthand. If we lived in a world where most people were using bricklink to buy sets, we wouldn't be seeing a new X-wing, TIE, etc every few years, because everyone would just buy the older ones. I want to know how you managed to end up with spare pauldrons. I think I have about seven official ones in over a decade of collecting. (1 sandtrooper (orange), 1 sandtrooper (black), 2 death trooper (black), 1 ARC trooper (red), 1 snowtrooper captain (red-orange), 1 stormtrooper seargent (white)). And their bricklink prices can be more than the average figure. I was super excited when I heard the Rex pauldron was going to be on PAB, only for it to be around the amount the figure'll likely go for post-microfighter.
  5. The issue there is having the black pauldrons. I had a bunch of Sandtrooper commanders which I've been trying to turn into normal troopers and those pauldrons aren't cheap. Would love for them to be more accessible through a battlepack.
  6. I'm excited to see it come to life, I think this is a great idea, and it'll be interesting to see as your progress continues, please DO put a ghost in the attic, it'd look perfect with the house, which kind of reminds me of the Addams family house but more grounded and less over-the-top so a ghost would be a nice nod to that in a way. I can't wait to see what you come up with for the furniture, it's going to look great! I was also pretty inspired by the friends bed & breakfast set and this is looking to be an even cooler version of that since you won't be limited by part count and all that.

    Jooo, not bad!
  8. Thank you, that means a lot to me, and I think you couldn't have given me a better compliment. Your image speaks volumes Here's a quick one-minute video to enjoy some high-speed moments and a bit of driving. I'll make something more elaborate very soon! Having a lot of fun with this model, the securely held wheels provide immense satisfaction because you can really push it to the limit and it doesn't flinch a bit! I've been driving it almost non-stop for nearly 20 minutes, chaining together high-speed runs and aggressive driving. I truly believe it's perfected; for the first time, I see nothing to improve, nothing to add, nothing to remove.

It might make a lot of sense for them to do a 'wave' of UCS style set designs at the same time, so the research is concentrated into one slot. Especially for IP sets, where the level of accuracy to the source material is usually important (for consumers and the IP holders), so it means they can watch the movies, review art boards, see props/sets, and get several sets out of that time rather than one. But also it means they can get a lot more out of interaction with the IP owners, who may not be available to work with them annually in line with LEGO's release cycle. Doing all of it up front is probably a lot more efficient, as core set design is probably a relatively short part of the overall process. They may leave them as concept models before they get the green light though, and then go through all the LEGO internal processes of quality, build, production etc, so could still change at a later date.

    2025 Castle Theme [wishlist/speculation]

This would actually be much easier if LEGO City Adventures were still going; Gracie Goodhart was stated to be from a different city (and she has a British accent and wears a British police uniform!), so Castle could be integrated by having at least parts of the season take place in Gracie’s city. Yep. I see the 2024 City Space sets as a successor to older City space and Town Space Port (sub)themes, and a predecessor to the 2000’s Space themes (Mars Mission, Galaxy Squad); the classic themes take place much farther into the future, IMO.
  13. Yes and No. The past years where so bad it is easy to have a good one. But it's possible that TLG is only pushing my buttons this year. The only thing that's missing is a parts pack well equipped like the 42139 All-Terrain vehicle (turntable, 6 wheels + shock absorber, 2 differentials, and so on).
  14. Of course you are right. I don't know what I meant here, tbh. Tested it again now, small linear actuator did 19.75 rotations for full extension (3 studs = 23.4 mm) so 0.84 rotations/mm.

    Wizarding World 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

Thanks, @Black Falcon, I think you've got it. Wishful thinking on my part, more than once I've wanted that 1x3 jumper, and solving it with 1x1s (2 tiles and 1 plate) just isn't so chic.

Heavies are easy to cobble together if you have a black pauldron, though the ammo pouch design from Battlefront would be nice to get at some point. Personally, I would rather see a few separate Imperial packs - One is the ISD add-on, another could be a J:FO/J:S pack with 2x Purge Troopers, 1x Flame Trooper, and 1x Electrostaff Scout Trooper. We would also need the various Imperial specialist troopers, environmental variants, and Army/Security troopers, but I am not going to get that far into wishlisting here!

    2025 Castle Theme [wishlist/speculation]

Not successor of a former Space theme, but to former City space. Like the old city space sets were clearly playing in todays time. So I consider the 2024 Space sets as a future spacecraft developed from those old sets, likely with the help from those crystals they found in that no limits episode and are mining in distant solar systems now. As for why I don´t think City fits with historical Sets or sets playing in the past at all, to me City is a modern theme, depicting nowadays life with Police, Fire department, Hospital, and just normal city life. This years space line works well with it IMO, because it is also modern theme, whicht historical sets are just not. That beeing said, while I don´t think it fits the theme, and that Lego would do it, I wouldn´t mind if they actually would do. In the end, I don´t care which label they put on it, as long as it will be cool sets.

LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

I really don’t think there’s that many 9 year olds and parents who actually know about Bricklink. I’m pretty sure the average parent/ kid buys the full set off Lego.com or Amazon instead of separate minifigs and parts off Bricklink. Also if kids are experiencing ever shrinking amounts of pocket money isn’t it a good business move by Lego to have a cheap set with the type of Troopers, in this case stormtroopers, that they want? But I might be mistaken. I don’t doubt whether a kid could navigate Bricklink, but whether they’ve actually heard about it. Speaking of Bricklink, have you guys seen that the scalpers have been buying up all the BD-1 figures. Annoying, but a damn good business move on their part due to Cal being the ISD.

Love these! Especially the big one which looks like an upgrade to the Beta-1 Command Base ship.

    Futuron City

Correct! That's why I incorporated all 90s pieces to recreate what Futuron would be if they continue releasing the space theme through all the 90s. if you want to see more of my MOCs, please visit my Facebook Group.

    Marvel Superheroes 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

Agreed, though I personally hope that Rogue stays exclusive to the Blackbird, so that we can get an additional character. My guesses: Professor X (dark green suit), Wolverine (reuse), Cyclops (reuse, maybe with proper legs?), Jean Grey (bright light orange and regular blue), Beast (lab coat), Storm (Mohawk is more likely, but her original ‘92 hair would be nice), Gambit, Jubilee, Magneto (red and purple), and either Morph (if the focus is on the X-Men, and they want to give us proper legs for Cyclops) or Sabertooth (if they want to reference the first movie and give Wolverine someone to fight). Mystique is another option for a tenth Minifig, given her prominence in the movies. I want both, but I do hope that they pick a single era just for the sake of team cohesion (and because ‘80s Storm needs a new hairpiece mould!).

Lord of the Rings Ongoing Discussion

Given that Barad-Dur originally leaked with the survey at the same time as Rivendell, it's likely that Barad-Dur has been ready to go for a while (pending Rivendell sales) So with that in mind, I wouldn't be surprised if there was already several other concept models being worked on already, maybe even finished and just waiting for Barad-Dur sales before the final refinements ready for next year.

Caught on the horns of a dilemma

Not something I've ever done, but if the area is to be covered with a sticker, it might be possible to sand the studs down completely? Leaving a smooth surface for your sticker.

Lord of the Rings Ongoing Discussion

Ha, yes same here. I guess major IPs get saved for last to build up more hype? So, if the plan is to churn out another giant LOTR set after Barad-Dur, would the next big set be in production now?

  27. About 74 mm. Probably no because a 2445 motor has got 2.3 mm shaft - but a 2435 one has got 2.0 mm shaft. Driving a model I don't feel the esc has got brakes, I brake by the motor. Last time I drove the rc model (I've charged the battery 2 times) it felt like it was going slower (on the same normal road). I've tried steering on two different radio controllers. Why is this happening? I've rebuilt the car model a bit but it doesn't seem to have much effect (or it does).
