    [MOC] Skoda 105 (Estelle)

Hello Skoda and Speed Champions fans, Skoda 105 is one of the iconic Eastern Bloc cars of my childhood. It was a rear-engined, rear-wheel drive small family car that was produced by Czechoslovakian car manufacturer AZNP in Mladá Boleslav, Czechoslovakia between 1976 and 1990. Engine sizes were 1.05 and 1.2 liters respectively. The color scheme of this model is based on my father's first car. Building instructions are available on the following links: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-93968/_TLG_/skoda-105/#details https://www.mocsmarket.com/lego-mocs/skoda-105-building-instructions/ It is a studless build in the original, 6 studs wide Speed Champions scale and fits perfectly to the new City style cars too. I have minimized the number of the stickers to keep the flexibility of the parts in further builds, therefore only two standard vehicle registration plate stickers are used. I wanted to build the model as accurate as possible in this small scale, therefore it contains lots of details: for example the front ligths, the front grill with the narrow chrome line and Skoda logo, the side view mirrors and the rear view mirrors, the door handles, the black rubber stripe on the sides etc... Maybe the most challenging one was the C pillar solution. I tried to fill every unnecessary gaps and therefore some tricky build techniques are used. The model has space for two minifigures: one on the front seat with small or middle sized hair (the rear view mirror assembly has to be removed in this case) and one on the rear seat without any hair. I prefer the model as it is shown on the pictures, but there are some modification possibilties: a) a rear windscreen can be added (there is a more detailed explanation in the last step), b) many of Skoda 105 cars has side view mirrors only on one side, c) on the real cars the color of the door handles and side view mirrors are sometimes black on the other ones they are chrome. 2. Hello. This forum is about classic car MOC builds and custom classic car MOC builds. Basically any car from the 90's and below can be on this forum. You can put your classic or custom classic car MOCs here on this forum too. And you can talk about classic cars. This forum is made to inspire classic car fans all around the LEGO space. And here are the things I would like to ask you to do. Do not bully or use profanity. And please do not be hesitant to report profanity. Please be nice to beginner builders who put there builds here. This is my first time creating a forum so if I mess something up or if you have any suggestions on what can improve this forum just let me know.

  4. I have a question about this image, does anyone here know where it comes from? Was it ever part of a catalouge or a poster? I would really like to get a high res version of it in some form. Would love to hear if you know something!

    [MOC] Ferrari Dino 246

New build still a WIP, but happy now with the shaping, just need to finalise the internals and doors, let me know what you think.
  6. With this MOC I wanted to create the feeling of a working class area in Sweden during the 70s/80s. The car is a Volvo 242 DL from 1975. Hope you like it!

Eagles from space: 1999 TV show

Who doesn't love the Moonbase Alpha Universe borns during the TVShow aired from 1975 to 1977 called "SPACE: 1999" and produced by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson creators of other cult series like the Thunderbirds and UFO. The eagles are iconic spacecrafts from the serie which I always wanted to build in Lego. Since few time Lego production give me the opportunity to get some parts which fit perfectly with the design of these. Of course I made them take part of Lego.Ideas in order to make a real fleet, one day... You can support this project if you want. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/119421
  8. ZOINKS! Shaggy turns out to be one hell of a hotrodder, turning his Dodge A-100 van into a pro-street pavement-pounder. Inspired by the full-size-engined/half-sized-bodied Zingers, the famous customs of the early 70's showcar-scene. The engine is a 2:1 scale full blown V6 race-engine. It's got dragslicks in the back, a wheelie-bar, and a drag-shute. To really appreciate this car it's best to compare it with the standard boring original cartoon version.

    [MOC] Suburb from the 70s

In this scene I wanted to create something atmospheric and mystical combined with a feeling of the 70s.
  11. I saw a video clip from an old 80s TV show, where there was a scene similiar to this one. I thought that scene represented a kitchen from the 70/80s very well, and I got very inspired to build it in LEGO! I thought it was interesting to build in a larger scale, because some LEGO parts can then resemble new things (such as the lamp and the blinds) that they normally would not in minifig scale.
  12. Hello Eurobrickers! Today I want to show you old race car from '70 years. I built it almost 3 years ago and from that time car was put in wardrobe until today. It has V6 supercharged engine placed right behind drivers seat, disc brakes on each wheel and big spoiler at the rear. This is only my vision of that kind of car it's not a copy of anything. Functionality is very poor but it has a openable trunk and steerable front wheels It is built mainly from 8258 parts and stickers from Crane Truck were used as well. Diameters: 35 stud lenght, 11 wide and 6 high. Weight about 240g. Gallery: Link to BS gallery: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=529491

A family playing Pong in the 70s

A small MOC showing a family playing Pong in the 70s. I got the inspiration to build it from an old Nintendo advertisment.
