    Swamp Defenders

This is my entry for Category B: Defensive Structure. Enjoy! After recruiting the Wolf Tribe to fight for Nocturnus, Rasmus and his Mitgardian friends began the return journey back to Nocturnus's capital, Abyssian. They spent days sneaking through the many swamp lands of Nocturnus, avoiding many Black Spire tratiors. Eleven days into their return journey they came across an abandoned tower situated on a high cliff. Knowing that Black Spire spies and armies used the swamp lands frequently, they began to bring in provisions and fortify the tower. They vowed no Black Spire traitors would pass the tower alive for as long as they defended the area. After 3 weeks, their vows hold true. They have taken down many enemy spies and after Rasmus's latest supply run, they have enough provisions to last six more months in the tower. Though news isn't all good, there are rumors that the enemy is gathering a large group to overtake the tower. Will this be the end for Rasmus and his men?

    GoH Display

So I got to display a module in a local indie toystore, but I didn't get a chance to take any photos at the actual event, just a couple at home right before I left.Check out my Flickr for a few more (bad) photos!
  3. Swords are for those who are intellectually-challenged. Lord of Lava in his new armor and Staff of Demon's Eyes The unfortunate intellectually-challenged lizardman who dares to oppose Lord Ssilyrrlith The magic seal for the Inferno spell I was going to enter Category C. But I don't know if I have time for that anymore. So a quick entry for Category A for now.
  4. Read Part 1 HERE, Part 2 HERE and Part 3 HERE. "The apple tree that had stood watch over the grave burned, it's death sending a smoky signal into the sky. The wind was still, not even daring to fan the flames that flickered from the leaves. Blood stained the ground, running in rivulets away from an elderly Nocurnian, the shining red liquid reflecting the horror of the creatures desecrating the grave; a hunchbacked raven, an Avalonian warrior, and a soldier of the Hand of Corruption, bearing the colours of the Black Spire. Raven: "This is the resting place of that which we have sought for all these years. I cannot believe the guardian thought he could defend it." The raven gestured to the Avalonian warrior. "Sir Natas, if you had simply killed the woman and her damned child, you would now be in a position to make a play for the Avalonian Leadership. Ravaage is displeased. It is only the lack of other Avalonians willing to follow Ravaage that has kept you in the running for this. Consider yourself incredibly lucky." Sir Natas: "M'lord Zurias, I swear my fealty to Ravaage once again. I will not make another mistake." Zurias: "See that you don't. The sword, it is a symbol of the right to rule in Vladivus home in Avalonia, but the foolish half-breed doesn't realise it's significance." Sir Natas: "Yes m'lord." Zurias: "Take it. Feel it's significance in your hands." Sir Natas took the sword from the mess of bones in the ruined grave, hefting it in his hand. As he looked closely at the blade, an inscription in Elvish was apparent, describing the bearer of the sword as entitled to rule a land in Avalonia. Sir Natas: "It feels good. It is well made this sword. A true relic of the times before Avalonia and a united Historica." Zurias: "Leave the reminiscing, you have work to do. Gather your men, and travel to Avalonia. You must set yourself up as a ruler of lands. Plans are coming to fruition. Do not fail us. You will regret it. Go now, and with haste." The group dispersed heading out in opposite directions, each heading towards inevitable encounters..." This is the final build for my story of Lord Vladivus, and predominantly sets up what will hopefully be my storyline in Avalonia when the Book II challenges reach that guild. It also introduce Zurias, who is going to become a sort of nemesis for Vladivus. C+C welcome.
  5. Here is my entry for Category A with the Nocturnus side guys. "Rumors have arrived mitgardia that the people of Nocturnus are in danger, and looking for allies to help them defeat the Black Spire. Sir Gunman the Lurikeen is on his way to Abyssian in order to meet Lord Ssilyrrlith. The journey is long and Gunman is tired. He has to rest a bit and eat something. In the meanwhile Recruiticius, member of the Black Spire is on a mission to gather allies for the Black Spire in order to strengthen their powers and get Nocturnus out of their way..." 476A5651 by GunmanLurikeen, on Flickr Gunman : hmm yummy yummy... 6. Read Part 1 HERE and Part 2 HERE. "After a brief silence, Vladivus began to speak again, and still Corocus listened. "There are many horrors I could tell of our journey through the Rakath Mountains. The ice-cold, the Ungolians, roving bandits, Reptrians, the list goes ever on. Nothing compares to the loss I suffered when my mother and I made it down from the peaks." Vladivus paused, and Corocus could sense the anger building up within the half-vampire. As suddenly as he had paused, Vladivus continued, his voice strained and dripping with bile. "Those beasts, those Caniban, those outcasts, even in a place such as Nocturnus. They set upon us as we rested. I had grown swiftly during our time in the mountains, perhaps a result of my Vampiric physiology, but I was not yet large enough to fend off out attackers. But you, Corocus, appeared as though from the ground itself and leapt to out defence. It was to no avail, my mother was mortally wounded, blood stained the sand around her. I have you to thank for my life, Corocus. I wish you could have met my mother. Alas it is not to be and you shall have to content yourself with tending her corpse." Silence once again fell across the grave site. Corocus counted nearly two hours passing before Vladivus' voice rose to the surface. This time it was strong, and full of purpose this time. "Fare thee well Godfather, I must leave. Ssilyrrlith has called for all loyal Nocturnians to rise up against the Black Spire. I may have need of you yet old friend." Corocus: "Aye farewell young Vladivussss." With that, Vladivus rode off, little knowing that for both of them, their lives would forever change... Part 3. This is the final part of the actual story, but there is going to be an epilogue, stay tuned! I tried to make the site of the fight resemble the grave site, hence the small bushs/tree that are larger in the current time. C+C welcome! Cheers
  7. "A particular day in the depths of winter holds a particular significance for Vladivus. This is a day in which he travels to the Rakath Mountains, unguarded, alone, and allows himself to become lost. It is then that he will be found, and taken to that spot which he holds dearest in all Historica. For on this day, it is the anniversary of his entry to Nocturnus, and the anniversary of the death of his mother. Vladivus was merely a baby when he arrived in Nocturnus, and was unable to protect his mother from the Caniban, but salvation came for the young half-Vampire. Corocus, a disgraced member of the Kazzar Tribe found the Caniban attacking Vladivus' mother, and beat off her attackers. Vladivus mother died of her wounds, but Vladivus himself was hale, and was raised by Corocus. Vladivus visits Corocus yearly, on this date, and ensures the old reptile is well. Vladvius: "Hail and well met Godfather!" Corocus: "Aye, welcome young Vladivussss." Vladivus: "Do I find you in good health? Is my mother's grave undisturbed?" Corocus: "Yesss, lad, I am well. There are a few bandits roaming these hills. It is troubling, they bear the colours of the Black Spire, and I have seen Avalonians amongst them." Vladivus paused, deep in thought, as his mind wandered back to his hazy memories of his arrival in Nocturnus..." Thanks for looking, this is the first part of a trio of freebuilds relating to Vladivus' entry into Nocturnus. I'm quite pleased with the tree technique. C+C welcome!
  8. TOPIC LOCKED Use the second quarter registration here. First Quarter Free Build Registration Sept 1st 2013 to March 1st, 2014 (Book II, Quarter 1) What is this thread? This is the thread where YOU register your free build if you wish it to be scored for your guild. Why are you doing this to us? Despite Rogueang’s wonderful MOC index, the guilds project has become quite large. The core leaders feel that we need a self-indexing mechanism that will allow us to grade free builds more efficiently. This is what we have come up with. What do I need to do? Just simply write the following information In a NEW post: Name of Moc with link to the thread | Name of Builder | Guild you belong to IE: Obsidian Spike |ZCerberus | Nocturnus Do not write anything else. What counts as a “Free Build?” Great question! Any GOH build that was not entered in one of the official main challenges or for any official mini-challenge that issued a physical prize. All free builds must have their own thread, and there must be a link to that thread provided here. Do not comment on builds in this thread, please do that on the MOC’s own thread. Can I just post in my guild thread and leave it at that? Whereas you are welcome to do so, if the build does not make it into the index , it will not be scored. Can I put up an entry for another guild member's build? If that builder has disappeared and we are getting near the deadline, this would be allowed.
  9. Alright, so this is the hideout of Kermit and his brother: As the sun began to set, Kermit and his brother walked across the deadly swamp, back to their hideout, to claim the life of another poor victim, a poor fool who dared go into the swamp. Without minifigs: And that's about it!

    Obsidian Spike

The Obsidian Spike is the home to Lord Raavage and the Black Spire. Sitting atop a rocky ledge in the swamp lands, the Spike only has one above ground entrance, though it is said miles of tunnels sit below the surface where worker Drow bring supplies, news and captives to Raavages home. This build is actually fairly detailed, but all the black makes it very hard to photograph. I think I learned a few tricks along the way and finally got a few good pictures in the end! I updated the photo on the frontpage and in the challenge 1 thread to reflect the superior shots here. And some fun details to check out of the build! Anything else I missed might be viewable on this set in my flickr account.
  11. "The Ungolian are ancient, immortal creatures. They are named after the first of their kind, Queen Ungoliant of Underverse. She existed in a time when the continents occupied different positions, and humans, elves and dwarves had yet to exist. The Ungolians are creatures of incalculable malice, and their plans stretch on for millenia. To cross one is to entertain misery for all of your bloodline that follow after. Their carapace is incredibly tough, and only their eyes represent a weak spot, and coupled with their immortality, they are tough to kill, and many that exist today can remember their Queen as she was in her heyday before the coming of humans, elves and dwarves. Fortunately for Historica, Ungoliant herself perished when the first mages of the world banded together and tore her spirit from her body. She was the only female of her species, so numbers of Ungolians are few, and they largely stick to their homes atop the northern Rakath Mountains, preying on unwary travellers. They are possessed of eight limbs, which end in vicious claws, and their prehensile tails end in a barb that renders a victim utterly paralysed. There is no known cure, and the victims body cannot be moved from the position in which it is struck. Strangely, death seems to completely remove the toxins causing the paralysis, and limbs can be moved again after this. If a female Unglolian were ever to be found, it would spell certain doom for the world. For now, most remain blissfully ignorant." This is my third tribe, and first (and likely only) entry for the seocnd Nocturnus Tribes challenge. I didn't have as much time as I wanted to spend on it, as I had to go and teach Geography a hundred miles away from my bricks. I wanted to do a non-humanoid tribe, and I liked the idea of a giant arachniform. It's also my first go at putting snow in a MOC (see spoiler). I'm not too sure on the landscaping, but it'll have to do. Edit: yep, I stole the name from Tolkein. Edit 2: realised a bit of the story didn't make sense. C+C welcome Cheers!
  12. ~o☼o~ Swamp Faeries ~o☼o~ The Swamp Faeries (or "Forested Wet Land" Faeries if you prefer) live in family groups throughout the Moruth Swamplands, and make their homes out of the hollows of dead trees. They are quite shy, and are rarely seen except by those unfortunate enough to have their hands or feet bitten off by their double row of razor sharp teeth (they love the crunch of little bones). A picture of the swamp by itself: I thought I'd give a swamp moc a try...

    Nocturnus Tribes: Blents

The Nocturnus Black Ent, aka Blent, is a rare derivative of the common Ent. Once widespread, they are currently found mostly in Nocturnian forests, although a small tribe lives deep in the coastal forests of northeast Kaliphlin. The Blent is rarely seen, although it is extremely difficult to tell a sleeping Blent from a common Nocturnian evil tree, and Blents can sleep for years. Nocturnus Black Ent (Blent), by nice.marmot, on Flickr Blents have sparse foliage, and supplement photosynthesis with animals that they catch as they wander through the forest. They spend their lives (which can be thousands of years) tending to their patches of evil Nocturnian forest, which are shepherded to provide a supply of food in the form of forest animals. Thus woe to the ignorant Nocturnian who unknowingly cuts down trees in a forest with a Blent. Very few have survived an encounter with a hungry Blent bent on revenge. With amazingly strong limbs, extremely thick, tough bark, and an ironwood like interior, very little can harm a Blent, except a serious, large forest fire. For this reason, fire dragons are the Blents' worst enemy, and they have been known to gang up and hunt down dragons that move into their area. In general though, they tend to stay out of the affairs of other species, caring only about the health of their forest. Blents have an ancient culture, mostly made up of long, florid, epic poetry, which can take decades to recite. Although capable of modern speech, they usually communicate in their own tongue, which mostly consists of slow, deep subsonic rumblings that can propagate through the earth for miles.
  14. I will MOC these guys later. Hopefully for challenges but if not just for fun in free builds. :) The Crows of the Grum Mountain Range feast on the battlefield dead of the Siccus Badlands. It would appear that a diet of zombie flesh and wasteland mutants has it's own "special" nutritional side effects - mainly a huge increase in size, ferocity and appetite! The size of a man the badlands Carrion can carry off a small child. In greater numbers they are happy to attack lone wanderers or even larger animals if the correct opportunity presents itself. Judicious use of Etape to mask the joins at feet and wing/hand joint finish this off And here are some more Denizens of Nocturnus. Black Spire - Drow Slaver Bridge Troglodyte Eramus Burntwud - Black Paladin Old Forest Road Zombie

    Fortress Illing'vress'ive

In a huge cavern below the rakath mountains, across the lava sea with lava falls, lies the ancient home home of the house Baen'und - fortress "Illing'vress'ive". Due to it's unique location it was never conquered, and it is very unlikely that it will ever be attacked.
  16. Deep down below nocturnus, in the vast caverns, lies the realm of the house Baen'und. From time to time, they send their war parties to get wealth, slaves and glory. The torsos and faces are made with waterslide decals. The faces are based on original work from: "thepyromaster" (flickr), "redbean" (MCN) and "Capt. 5p8c3" (flickr), the torsos are various official parts recombined. The spider necklace is from redbean on MCN.

    Nocturnus Tribes: The Caniban

"The Caniban are a tribe of part-human cannibals. Rumour has it that their ancestors were bred with demons, and the tribe themselves do nothing to dissuade this notion. Their skin is a natural jet black, and they tattoo themselves with brightly coloured inks to distinguish their role within the tribe. The warrior caste are represented by red, the colour of the blood they spill, whilst the priests are represented by yellow, the colur of the poison they coat their sacrificial daggers with. The tribe's village is located at the base of the Rakath Mountains, on the Eastern side, level with the southernmost point of the Kelra Labyrinths. Here we can see a priest, guarded by a warrior, about to perform a sacrifice in the ruins of an ancient temple- the victim is a poor nomadic caveman from the Rakath Mountains. Left, Priest, and right, Warrior." Extra views: This is my second entry to the Nocturnus Tribes. C+C welcome! Cheers!
  18. "This particular tribe are named the Shkcklyk in their own tongue. Their species are more commonly referred to by the denizens of Historica as "Swamp People". Researchers from the University of Petrea have designated their species as Homo Swampius. They are distantly related to humans, and it is thought that they represent a divergent evolution millenia ago. Their diet is one of mainly fish, although, their digestive system can handle tough roots, and other meats. They live in the Moruth Swamps, and their dwellings are often hard to spot, as they utilise nature to it's fullest extent, using dank, dark caves. They rarely gather together, being predominantly solitary, and as such, there are no villages to come across, simply single houses. However, in times of peril, the tribe gathers together, and it is rumoured that the swamps themselves come alive at their command, and travellers and enemies alike vanish in the thick cloying liquid mud that makes up much of the Moruth Swamps. Despite their nature, they form a vital part of the swamp ecosystem, as they herd many of the dangerous creatures away from the few trade routes through the Swamp, a fact that the local Lords and Tyrants often fail to recognise." This is my first (possibly only, I have a couple of other ideas, need to see if I can do them justice) entry for the Nocturnus Tribes. C+C welcome!
  19. Avalonia was dying. Ravious remembered the times when it was a vibrant and happy place, but now it was hardly better than Nocturnus. He was nearing the edge of the town walls on the way back to his house, with his two sons. He thought back to when Avalonian walls made him feel safe, but now he couldn't wait to get away from them. However his son, Roland, only felt safe near the walls, and was scared about the walk home. There was a time when he loved walking past the meadows and fields with his mother on the way home, but all that had changed now. The walk was dangerous with all the bandits about, and his mother had been killed by the elementals. Roland was always closer to his mother than his father, for he loved artistic things, such as painting or singing. He had no interest in his fathers job of fishing, for lakes these days were murky, and filled with evil creatures. Ravious' eldest son was quite the opposite of Roland. Deixis had been nicknamed Hercules by the rest of the townsfolk due to his incredible strength. He was skilled with a sword, and many girls in the town were after his heart. He fought in the town arena often, and had never lost. Ravious was very proud of him. Roland stopped. Ravious saw that he was scared about leaving the town walls, for he was every time they left, so Ravious put on his best encouraging smile, and told Roland that if bandits gave them trouble they could easily defeat the bandits. Roland was still scared, but he carried on walking. They were leaving Tolswick... Some more shots: Thanks for looking, C&C welcome.
  20. Book II- Chapter 1- The Battle for Nocturnus. Revolword’s defeat should have marked a day of great joy in Nocturnus, the realm hit hardest by Revolword’s elemental monsters, but Revolword’s defeat has since become known as the Day of the Black Victory. A new alliance calling themselves the “Black Spire” with membership consisting Varlyrian rebels, Hand of Corruption Soldiers and Drow loyalist have captured over half of Nocturnus and erected a stronghold in the heart of the darklands. Bursting up from the ground, seemingly overnight, the fortress has been named the Obsidian Spike. The Spike taunts Nocturnus’s lords; it is not just a sign of the changing times in Historica, but a symbol of the new power unleashed in Nocturnus. After the events in Cedrica, the Varlyrian flood quickly cut through the eastern defenses of Nocturnus, killing or enslaving all Nocturnians in their wake while the Drown tunneled up from the south and the Hand forces rallied from their defeat in Cedrica to invade Nocturnus from the west. The Black Spire’s assault was only stalled when Lord Ssilyrrlith, General Grimm, and an army of volunteers from all the guilds made a desperate stand at Abyssian Castle. The battle was bloody and claimed the lives of many heroes of Historica, including disgraced Avalonian General, Sir Trian Buress. The battle for Cedrica is over, but the battle for Eastern Darklands now begins. ***Nocturnus*** (Credit ISC for Abyssian) Now in control of the northern and some of the western portions of Nocturnus, Lord Ssilyrrlith calls a meeting to discuss the dire situation. (Credit Ecclesiastes for the Nocturnus Throne Room) Lord Ssilyrrlith: As you have become aware, our position hassss left usssss vulnerable. The Black Ssssspire controlsss the easssst, and ssssouth while we hold the north and some of the wessst. Though I had hoped Buresssss’s death would bring the Avalonians into the fight, we still have only received sssuperficial sssssuport from the other guildssss. General Grimm: Yes, Lord, it would seem we must seek new alliances in every corner of Nocturnus. The orcs, minotaurs, spider people and cyclopses must all be brought into the fold. They are savages, but they are also warriors and Noctrunians. Lord Ssilyrrlith: Yesss, General Grimm, we must seek new alliancesss, but we must also ssstrengthen our defensessss. We can not continue to lose ground to the Ssssspire. Every inch of our land is just as important as Abyssian itssself. Commander Fangmore: We should show our strength Sslither, we should strike at the Spike itself! Send their monstrosity crashing to the earth and scatter the Spire forces like the roaches we know they are! Lord Ssilyrrlith: We can not commit a force that large to a ssssingle target, even one as tempting as the Obsidian Sssspike. We will need to win many battles to topple the Black Ssspire. General Grimm: Should we send emissaries to the other guilds for assistance? Lord Ssilyrrlith: They have already left us for dead, besssides, each hasss their own problems to addressss. The Avalonians who joined our caused have been exiled from their homesss and it is rumored Rex has unleashed a dark power in the Mystic Islesss. Kaliphlin facesss its own internal struggle as Flagg has stepped back and we hear the Jarl struggle with too many uprisingsss to even know friend from foe. We can not count on help from anyone elsssse. Thissss isss our home and we mussst defend it now! Commander Warrent: What are your orders Lord? Lord Ssilyrrlithr: First, we must persuade, by whatever means necessary, the factions in the Darklands to join our cause. Ssssecondly we must ssstrengthen our defensessss. Build towersss, wallsss, gatehousesss and fortificationsss wherever we are vulnerable! Third, we must find the weak pointsss of the Sssspire and take the fight to them. General Grimm: We do as you command sire. (Credit Ecclesiastes for the Nocturnus Throne Room) ***Black Spire*** From his perch high above the Nocturnian swamplands, the new Lord of Nocturnus calls his most loyal generals to discuss the war in the Darklands. Lord Raavage: The Nocturians have held Abyssian and their Avalonian friends have temporarily halted our attacks in the west. Because the intervention of the Avalonians could not have been foreseen, I have only taken the head of General Varsk for this failure, should any of you fail me now, your fates will not be so pleasant. Commander Basil: We have witnessed the Nocturnians strengthening their defenses. The serpent has slunk back in his hole to hide! Lord Raavage: Do not underestimate Lord Ssilyrrlith. We wounded the serpent, but we have not killed him. The Nocturnians are more resilient than we believed. General Lurn: We Drow are not concerned, we have a secret weapon to aid in Nocturnus’s destruction. Malicia, would you kindly bring in the weapon. *A resurrected, zombified Trian Burress enters the chambers* Lord Raavage: So your necromancer was able to revive the old dog! And he is loyal to me? Zombie Sir Burress: I can speak for myself M’Lord Raavage. Lord Raavage: Then speak zombie! Zombie Sir Burress: I am loyal to the Black Spire M’Lord. General Lurn: Of course he is! What kind of Necromancer would raise an enemy from the dead! He is bound to the life spirit of Malicia. Whomever she supports, her new dog supports. He is intimately familiar with Abyssian and the plans of Lord Ssilyrrlith. Zombie Sir Burress: Lord Ssilyrrlith will attempt to rally any undeclared tribe to his aid. We must do the same and forge alliances with any creature not yet flying the Spire's banner. The snake will also use guerrilla warfare to strike any patrol or weak point we may have left open. We must seal the gaps in our defenses and strike the Serpent's forces whenever they surface. Lord Raavage: A useful new weapon indeed. As the mutt suggests, I command you to build up our defenses wherever they are weak, “convince” those tribes who have yet to claim their allegiance to side with the Black Spire, and should you encounter any Nocturnian in your way, place their head on a pole atop the Obsidian Spike! Victory or death. All: Victory or death! Later, alone in the throne room, Malicia enters. Malicia: M’lord Lord Raavage: And so the spell from the Book of Marzule brought the dog back to life. Are you sure you could raise an entire army if we can capture the Orion Sphere? Malicia: Yes m’lord. The Orion crystals held in Abyssian would allow us to raise an army of millions. With the dead on our side we could crush Historica and enslave all the humans, elves and dwarves who stand in our way. Lord Raavage: And Basil still knows nothing of our plans? Malicia: No m’lord. He still believes Varlyrio and will be an equal partner in our quest to take the guilds. Lord Raavage: That fool. He still believes we sent Varlyrio to Cedrica to capture the Helm of Elemental Magic! Did he really believe the elemental scourge was the strongest magic in the land? It is not the elementals that will rule conquer Historica, It is the dead that will rule this land. Malicia: Victory or death m’lord. Lord Raavage: If we are successful, Malicia, not even death’s grasp will stop us! **Challenge I** If Nocturnus is your home guild- Reply to this topic and declare the side of the conflict you wish to support. Nocturnus House

A small house, intended to accompany the Moruth Outpost I did earlier. "Having collected the crops from near the Werewolf Outpost, the Orcish farmer returns home, waving to Vala Mal, a Night Elf heading out for an evenings hunting." 22. The most fascinating part of Nocturnus is all the non-human species in our great land! We need to develop the backgrounds of these creatures. 23. Wonders of Historica: Nocturnus Shrine of Immortality Located far to the East, over the highest of peaks, past the deepest and darkest swamps in Nocturnus, placed in the middle of an oil lake, sitting on top one of the oldest shrines of Historica, rests the single key to immortality---Green flames; not burning to the touch but magical, rest in a bowl under a blood red Cyprus tree…any person from the lowliest peasants to highest of kings may come to drink the flames, and gain their immortality…but it is not a journey free of peril… Devious souls. People who at heart are evil; and even those who may in the future do such evil deeds will be punished when attempting to drink the flames. The shrine cannot risk opening Historica to an eternity of evil men…and so…any monstrous person at heart would be burned by the flames; engulfed in emerald fire; thrown from the shrine of immortality, and into their oily tomb…the Goblet Graveyard. Miles and miles; hundreds of thousands of goblets all rest above the oil lake, with their master’s charred hands still holding on to them…their corpses trapped forever, and their souls destroyed. Then why, do you ask, why is this deadly temptress here? Do so many evil men risk their lives for the chance to live forever? Why was it constructed in the first place—to lure devious men to their deaths? And why was it built in a place of such evil as Nocturnus? Perhaps it was done because those who built it knew…while there would always be millions of evil men who wanted to abuse that power; it would only take one good soul to share that power...forever. Nocturnus Wonder of Historica Enjoy? ~Nemo

    Moruth Outpost

Hot on the heels of my my Shadowmere microbuild (http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=86052) comes a minifig scale build! "Deep in the Moruth Swamp, near the citadel of Shadowmere lie several villages. These villages are watched over by warriors of various races, such as Cyclops, Minotaurs, Orcs, and here, Werewolves. Being in the middle of the swamp, the guardsmen are often underequipped, and armour is usually only afforded to those in charge. Here, General Fenrir Bloodcloak visits a village to inspect his werewolf troops. An Orcish farmer collects vegetables from a patch of earth that is less barren than much of the surrounding area, whilst a werewolf eyes up a tasty bird- dinner is served! All the while, a watch-wolf on top of the tower watches for approaching enemies (there's been quite a few Avalonians pass this way, we helped them, er become not lost )." A few other views: The tower's small (impractical) interior: And the build, sans minifigs: Cheers for looking, c+c welcome! (I apologise for the poor photography, i don't have my set up optimised yet, (this is just sheets of paper haha!) and my camera is being borrowed, so my iPhone is standing in!)
