GBW - RC1 : The Deland Republic - Hercynian Hunters crow nest Bricklandia continent map Map Grid F7 To counter the progression of the New Brickika tanks on the South east border of the Deland Republic, the Federal High Command decided to send their best Mountain specialists : The Hercynian Hunters. 2. The first attack hit us pretty hard! We were tasked with setting up a forward position ahead of the front lines along with some other platoons from our company to stop or slow down enemy advancement. Intelligence told us that the enemy will make contact with us in three days time, and they were only off by a day and a half. We had set up two road-blocks along the road with the rubble that was laying around, but that work went to waste by an enemy rocket punching a hole through the first wall. None of us were fresh out of boot-camp, but few of us had ever seen combat, save for the sergeant, but even then it was only small border engagements with cartels. The explosion that punched through the first barrier jarred us at first, but when the .30 cal. went off we were brought back to reality. The first casualty was one of the guys from the MG team that hooked up with us, I saw him go down and it looked like he bought it. The Great Brick War-Battle for Carrefour by ODA 401, on Flickr I was in the back of a building with Sgt. Anders, providing cover for our squad's support gunner when a two-man Refnor recon team rode up to us, ducking for cover when they felt bullets bounce off of nearby walls: Refnor scout: "Who's in charge here?" Sgt. Anders: "I am, Corporal" Refnor scout: "We located an armored column making its way here, it seems this road is on their route." "Can you estimate their ETA?" "Ten minutes max" Refnor scout: "Must be an advanced team...they're a small force, but they have enough firepower to clear this whole area." The Great Brick War-Battle for Carrefour by ODA 401, on Flickr The support gunner in our squad opened up on some enemies that were advancing through the alleyway. GBW - Campaign 4 RoN Battle for Carrefour Grid Coordinates: Studica - F4 Division 2, Operation Team 8, Toohati BLITZKRIEG!!! As the RoN forces began their attack on Carrefour, a satellite scan revealed a previously hidden LRA battery had taken up a position overlooking the Carrefour International Airport. In order for the operation to capture the airport to go smoothly, a surgical strike was needed, and it was needed yesterday. Flagstone Squad was selected. The top-ranked squadron in the Toohati Nightguards, this elite Special Forces team was known for having never failed a mission. Once orders were received, the squad was dispatched under cover of darkness. A briefing took place en route, and 27 minutes later, the RAAV (Rapid Assault Armored Vehicle) had penetrated to the heart of Carrefour. It stopped a block short of their objective to unload the team.... Sgt. Leo "Brick" DeClay: "Sitrep, CoAC jamming is in place. Commie, get in your Tuba, we need a link to HQ. Kong, go AP on your load-out. We've got no idea whether they will have vehicle support. Rad, you good?" Sgt. Dietrich "Radaghast" Chvala: "I good. We go now, ja?" Sgt. Leo: "Commie, you up and running?" Tech. Joey "Commie" Staline: "Yup. I hate this thing... You owe me a drink. All of you, when this is over." Sgt. Xander "King Kong" Rasine: I'm ready, let's go. No MegaBlockers are gonna hold us back!" Sgt. Leo: "Comms check." Sgt. Chvala: "Radaghast reads you." Sgt. Rasine: "Kong reads." Tech. Staline: "Commie, check." Sgt. Leo: "Move out, this op should be accomplished in 15 minutes." The team moved silently down the deserted street, accompanied by the low rumbling of the RAAV. Reaching the crossroads, they saw the CoAC troops engaged in a drinking game.... GBW-CP4 Toohati Sgt. Leo: "Hit 'em hard and fast. No squirters on this one." The squad broke into a run, and rushed towards the park. None of the CoAC soldiers noticed. GBW-CP4 Toohati Sgt. Rasine: "I count four hostiles." Sgt. Leo: "Take 'em down." A series of muffled pops signified the deaths of several CoAC soldiers. GBW-CP4 Toohati Sgt. Chvala: "One runner, he got a long gun!" GBW-CP4 Toohati GBW-CP4 Toohati Sgt. Rasine: "Mine. Eat lead, MegaBlocker!" GBW-CP4 Toohati Sgt. Leo: "All clear. Hostiles down." Sgt. Chvala: "One alive. Out from drinking. Up, you MegaBlocker, get up! Hands in sight!" GBW- CP4 Toohati Sgt. Leo: "Commie, tell HQ we secured the LRA, with one prisoner." Tech. Staline: "RoN Central Command, the LRA is secured, and we have one prisoner for the spooks. Go take that airfield! Flagstone out." 4. GBW - Campaign 4 RON Operation Battle for Carrefour Map grid : Studica F4 Division 3 operation team, The Deland Republic : In road to Checkpoint Pontsureau In the light of the morning sun, the Deland Republic team was moving through the Industrial part of the city of Carrefour. It was a crucial move because securing the Industrial part of the city would help all the rest of the startegy the RON Central High Command established. So, the Armored Personal Carrier of The Deland Republic was on a dangerous pass around fabrics and warehouses that could hide ennemy nests in every corner... Unfortunately, it was not an ennemy that initially slowed the vehicle, but a splash of toxic waste which damaged the road and the front hull of the APC making it stops. The on board engineer managed to try some repairs but it was at this time a COAC team surprised the team and engaged fire. The engineer quickly finished to repair the hull and the APC deployed its combat team. The fight was hard and the team lost a man on this ambush. The Sargeant took the Radio Operator apart behind the safe hull of the Armored vehicle and deployed with him the brand new Radio Sat Comm the RON High Command recommended to use as it was obvious the COAC spyed the RON frequencies... - APC Division 3 to report here. Said the Sargeant. We are facing a strong resistance here in Fabric zone, just before our goal of Checkpoint Pontsureau. We will need the Special sweeping team from Swintoc. Do you copy ? - APC 3 ! it's Swintoc Sweeping Team here, backup on its way ! I repeat, Backup on its way ! Over ! Answered the Swintoc team. The APC once repaired and the ambush secured thanks to the Swintoc Elite, Checkpoint Pontsureau finally finished under RON control. The rest of the Operation could continue. This is my Campaign 4 entry inside the RON coordonated Tactics. Thanks for watching !

  6. Campaign 4 Fighting for the City Map Name: Studica Grid: F4 Time: 0630 Hours After narrowly stopping the COAC Advance, RON forces are now trying to push the COAC back out of their territory. COAC Forces have dug in rather than completely withdrawing out of the city. Both sides have hunkered down in tight Close Quarters Combat with each side fighting from building to building engaging in small skirmishes to try and maintain control of a city block. And we're back after a much needed break so that no one would get worn out. Thanks for sticking around and we hope you enjoy this round. More to come! Campaign Guidelines Both sides are to show their forces engaging in Close Quarters Combat in a city. (Failure to do this will result in a loss of points) The goal for both sides here is to show coordination with each other across your builds. Stories should intertwine and share details. Be creative. This will be a big part of your score. Nations that currently have not declared war will need to do so before submitting combat builds or find other creative ways to build something to fit in with the guidelines. All builds must be posted as a new topic in the “Great Brick War” subforum, the title prefixed by, "(GBW- CP4)" followed by the Country you’re representing, and then your MOC’s Title. Example "(GBW- CP4) Filace - Fueling up the Jets") Neither side should show their forces definitively destroying the opposition. Showing successes is okay, but not total domination. The winners of the campaign will be decided based on the points awarded from judging. This means if your team doesn't score well, it's possible for your forces to be beaten back. MINIMUM SIZE BUILD IS 32 X 32 All LDD Builds must be labeled- Example: (GBW- CP4) Country - Title of build (LDD) All builds must be new MOC’s and not prior builds. Photo Editing is to be kept to a minimum with only real edits of lighting and color correction. No special effects. Players may crop one picture of their MOC onto a background picture to help with their landscape if they’d like. Pictures cannot be bigger than 800x600 Players may post a link to an offsite host such as Flickr where Higher Res pics are located. Be cool and share your photos in the GBW Flickr Group! Please refer to the General Rules Topic for limitations based on your Point Level. Upon completion, players must also post a link to their build in the AAR Thread as well letting the judges know that it is eligible for scoring. Campaign Duration 9/20/17 - 10/29/17 All builds will not be finalized until the closing date for the campaign. Players can edit their posts up until that point. As long as it is 10/29/17 somewhere in the world, you can submit. Use this as a deadline https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/usa/baker-island The Outcome If the COAC wins, they will maintain their foothold into the next campaign. If the RON wins they will be assaulting into COAC territory in the next round. All players who participate will be awarded the points they earn for each build. The winning team will earn a special tag. Players can have only (1) GBW Tag in their profile at a time. If you would like this tag, please let a GBW Staff Member know.

    [GBW-CP4]-Refnor-Ambush in the City

STUDICA F4 We moved into the city of Carrefour under the cover of night. By the next day we had 2 troops in an abandoned apartment building across from part of the city park, while Roger was on top of a convenience store and I was hiding beside it. The other 2 hunkered in the apartment building with an injured civilian, while our medic tended to him. We had dispatched a small 2 man team to assist ODA 401's troops elsewhere in the city, so we were anxious to receive news on their operation. It was around noon when we heard a single jeep with a small militia on board. They probably were going to assist other troops in the city. Roger fired a shot and took out the driver in one shot. The infantry scrambled to help the driver, and the bazooka handler readied, looking for the sniper. Another shot, this time from the apartment building took him out. The other trooper jumped out of the truck and ran towards the apartment building, but I jumped out and wiped him. Roger climbed down and we went into the apartment building to check on the other men. The civilian was told to wait here while we waited for a transport to take him to a safe place as we waited for a word from the 2-man team. Thank you for viewing and please judge this build. (Sorry for some bad pictures, I was a bit rushed with schoolwork and other things.) BONUS PICTURE: JEEP: (A modified jeep from what came in the Black Panther Pursuit set.) BUILD PICS:
  8. CoAC soldiers patrol the airport hoping that the attack be else where. Though when a rocket took out one of their gunners they where not surrpried. They retreated inside their walls and took their defensive potions. RoN troops stormed the airport hoping to seize control of the airport tower. Once they had breached the outer defenses and made their way inside they took out CoAC troops. Those who remained surrendered. Hoping to get Intel on CoAC movement they took them as prisoners. Now that they successfully took the tower it was time to use the new sat comm to inform RoN headquarters.
  9. Grid STUDICA F4 Carrefour is a major town in Briolui. It has an underground network and big parks. And that´s why this area is important for the COAC war efforts. This area is closed to the dockyards, where FILACE troops are trying to stand against the RON attacks. The other end of the park limits with the favelas, where PLANTASEA troops also stand against the enemy. And the underground network is important, as NEW BRICKIKA infantry move to encircle the enemy. This image depicts a T corner, with a big park in the bottom. A restaurant, “The Bistro au Parc”, in the upper right and a hardware & tools shop, “Carrefour tools and more” in the upper left complete the scenery. There is also an underground entry gate. The initial combats left the street somehow damaged: no traffic lights, the park fences and gate broken and a mailbox in the middle of the lane. Also a tree was cut… 1 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr A lonely German shepherd with a camera on his back appears. An abandoned dog? No way! That´s an awful crime! Instead, he is searching for the enemy. The camera has a small transmitter so his handler can know what he sees. His excellent smell sense would make him sit to show the position of any explosive devices. 2 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr The dog keeps on inspecting the area. 3 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr 4 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr The handler and another soldier appears. The area should be secure for them. 5 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr A small section has taken the hardware & tools shop and goes to the roof. The dogs takes a rest and three soldiers will raise the alarm in case the enemy appears. The section leader gives instructions… -We must make our stronghold here. We must make sure the enemy can´t go through this area. We will fortify this building and prevent the enemy from getting to the underground network. As far as I know, the underground line here connects with the other side of the town, where our allies of Plantasea are defending in the favelas. I don´t remember the name of their unit…well, the enemy CANT ambush them from behind. We must also prevent the RON troops from ambushing New Brickika troops in the tunnel. -Sir, will we have any CAS? -Yes, the callsign is TIZONA. García and Fernández, you will inspect the restaurant and make it unusable for the enemy. Pérez and Hernández, you will see what we have in the warehouse and take advantage of what we have. The rest of us, let´s prepare for the defense… -Yes, Sir! 6 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr García and Fernández went to the restaurant. They entered by the door which was closer to the shop. Two lobsters were inside a cauldron, with a lot of kitchenware on the floor… -Hell, if we survive I can cook these lobsters. I went to MasterChef before entering the Army! -Haha! Good idea! 8 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr Pérez and Hernández inspected the warehouse and the main floor. A lot of interesting stuff was left after the evacuation. -Wow, this is the bloody treasure chest! -Yes, and the warehouse has sand, empty sandbags and what we need to make obstacles! 7 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr After working very hard, the building was fortified with sandbags, barbed wire and more. 9 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr The underground gate was secured too. They could even build other obstacles and the dog stayed on the street and awaiting for the enemy. However, García and Fernández hadn´t left the restaurant, as it took a lot of time to secure the underground gate. 10 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr The enemy appeared walking through the park and by the street. As instructed, the Erotema troops decided not open fire until the enemy were very close… 11 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr 12 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr 13 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr But the dog was the first to score. Maybe this dog is not the best friend of this man… 14 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr Making his buddy to leave towards the park. 15 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr The Erotema troops, maybe more accurate than a drunken Jawa, took their first target. 16 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr But the enemy got closer… 17 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr From the other side of the street, García and Fernández tried to ambush the enemy. The gate had to be safe from the RON troops, as they could ambush COAC troops underground (New Brickika), or go behind the COAC lines (Plantasea). 18 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr The RON troops tried to return fire. 19 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr And knowing the gate had to be taken to escape and ambush COAC troops inside the underground network, they tried to swarm it… 20 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr But the death buzz of a PICARÓN CAS aircraft, callsign TIZONA, en route to help the Plighian allies, was heared. 21 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr And that plane really scored…a lot. 4 .50 machine guns give a powerful punch. Really, a very powerful punch. And the next enemy would have to face 12 125-kg bombs and 6 anti-tank missiles… The only surviving RON soldier tried to escape…running for his life. 22 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr 23 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr
  10. After the events depicted on [GBW] - Troop build up - Erotema - Submarine Assembly Plant the first unit of the S90-class diesel attack submarine is to be christened. What does this mean? Normally, whenever a marine unit is ready to enter service, she (I will never understand why vessels are feminine in English) is given a name and someone very important for her own country breaks a bottle of champagne on her hull. In this case, the first unit of the S90 class will be named S901 TRIANA. The namesake comes from Rodrigo de Triana, the lookout who first spotted the American continent on 12 October 1492. It is also one of the most typical neighborhoods in Seville, Spain. “Good morning, this is Antony Stone reporting live from Erotema Shipyards, where the new submarine of our Navy, Triana, is to be christened in the following minutes.” 1 START PRESS by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr “We are close to the catering for the subsequent finger food lunch that will take place after the christening”. 2 CATERING by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr “The authorities today are the following: Mr. Blas Gálvez, President of Erotema. Crew: 32 + 8 passengers (specops units, training personnel, etc). This submarine has 3 diesel generators and 1 electric motor driving a pump jet, which makes her even more silent than current diesel submarines (of course, more silent than nuclear subs). Its AIP plant extends her underwater endurance for about 30 days without surfacing.

After the combats started, and following the order of the Brioluian government, they decided to flee to Carrefour airport. However, the Jennings are not just Brioluian citizens. They are a cell of sleeping agents of the Directorate S of the Erotema Intelligence Service. Many years ago, Erotema foresaw a possible conflict with the neighbor Briolui, so sleeping agents were deployed. 13. Bricklandia - Grid C4 José Jiménez is an experienced recon pilot. He is flying the Hispano Super Saeta, an extremely secret aircraft used for high-altitude recon. His mission for today is simple: take pictures of the northern coast of the Deland Republic. The mission is quiet but, suddenly, something starts going wrong. The master alarm indicator shows a power failure. The jet has 2 engines, but both of them stop. As the airplane flights at very high speed and the air is very thin at such high altitudes, a loss of speed implies a spin, which is very hard to control. Although José tries to restart the engine until the UPS is out of energy (another failure), there is no other option than ejecting from the aircraft… After a soft landing, he started walking towards a small mountain range he saw while parachuting, and entered a cave. He activated his beacon, knowing that the enemy forces would be also able to find him… Allied forces were parachuted a few hours after and could find him easily although the beacon emitted intermittently. José decided to leave the cave and go east, to the border with New Brickika. He is luck, because the rescue team finds him. The rescue team finds the pilot. by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr After being found, José was taken to the remnants of his aircraft, and he found a strange scene… -Hey, what the hell is that? -What, the lobsters? -Yes, what is that guy doing? -Ah, that´s our coverage. From now, we are farm lobsters if enemy forces intercept us. That´s why we are carrying two lobsters. -You are kidding… -No, this is not a joke. I will give you later the book “How to raise lobsters for dummies”. The most important part of the mission is to save the disk of the flight recorder. The lobsters are the second priority. Meanwhile, the flight recorder (”black box” in Spanish, although it is orange) was found, so the hard disk with the recordings could be saved. Crash site by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr The flight recorder is found by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr Chasing lobster on the snow by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr -Sir, the disk has been found. Time later, the full team has crossed the borders of New Brickika and are found by friendly troops. Crossing friendly lines by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr -Hey, who are you! -We are peaceful lobster farmers. You can see our specimens. (This is the password the recon team has to use when finding Erotema troops in New Brickika). -Ok, go ahead (that was the code to cross the border). The information was saved and the information would be interesting for further actions...

  15. Campaign 3 Taking Ground Map Name: Studica Grid: E4, E5 Time: 0530 Hours Before the sun comes up, Johann Paulson is already halfway through his day having fished along the river with his son, Leif. Johann and his son are spending time at this cabin for their summer just across the border from Filace. Johann returned to the cabin to start preparing for the second half of the day to clean and cook the fish they caught..... or so they claimed. Leif stood silently gazing out into the river when Soldiers popped out of the water with guns pointed straight at him. Johann quickly grabbed his gun to come to his son's aid. Before he could even move out the door his son was restrained and the guns were pointing at him. The soldiers were instructing him to drop his weapon and no harm would come to him and his son. Johann complied dropping his weapon and raising his hands above his head. He was explaining to the soldiers him and his son were just fisherman on retreat. when the 2nd part of the recon team breached the front door to the cabin to search the area as the false dawn was striking the sky. The tower which they claimed was for operating a personal radio was linked up to the Briolui Army's Intelligence Wing. They were providing early warning for the military. Additionally, an artillery crate was found booby trapped inside the cabin which they stated was just stores of food for the summer. The recon team moved the Paulsons away from the house completely disregarding their statements on their activities. The Recon team made one last sweep on the cabin and determined it would be wise to call in an EOD team to inspect the crate . The recon team secured the Paulsons a short distance away behind a berm while they waited for the EOD team to arrive. When the EOD unit arrived, they instructed the Recon Team to stay in place behind the berm while the Tech inspected the cabin and the suspicious crate. Once inside the cabin, the EOD tech inspected the crate and disabled the explosive trigger. Inspection of the crate would show a map and a list of documents pertaining to the planned COAC invasion of Briolui. There were detailed documents showing troop counts and planned routes of assault. Someone inside the COAC leaked the battleplans to the RON and now they knew exactly where the COAC was going to strike. They would be ready. ____________________________________________________________________ Campaign Guidelines Forces of the COAC banded together and launched a full scale coordinated assault on Studica Grids E4 and E5. The COAC is trying to push into Briolui territory in hopes of bringing things to quick end. Word of the impending attack slipped out prior and now all RON Nations have been alerted and are already moving their forces in coordinated a defensive effort. Countries that are part of the COAC are to build MOCs depicting their side assaulting fortified positions of the enemy attempting to capture ground. Countries in the RON are to build MOCs depicting their side defending assaults. The goal for both sides here is to show coordination with each other across your builds. Stories should intertwine and share details. Be creative. This will be a big part of your score. Nations that currently have not declared war will need to do so before submitting combat builds or find other creative ways to build something to fit in with the guidelines. All builds must be posted as a new topic in the “Great Brick War” subforum, the title prefixed by, "(GBW- CP3)" followed by the Country you’re representing, and then your MOC’s Title. Example "(GBW- CP3) Filace - Fueling up the Jets") Neither side should show their forces definitively destroying the opposition. Showing successes is okay, but not total domination. The winners of the campaign will be decided based on the points awarded from judging. This means if your team doesn't score well, it's possible for your forces to be beaten back. MINIMUM SIZE BUILD IS 32 X 32 All LDD Builds must be labeled- Example: (GBW- CP3) Country - Title of build (LDD) All builds must be new MOC’s and not prior builds. Campaign Duration 6/15/17 - 7/31/17 All builds will not be finalized until the closing date for the campaign. Players can edit their posts up until that point. As long as it is 7/31/17 somewhere in the world, you can submit. Use this as a deadline https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/usa/baker-island The Outcome If the COAC wins, they will earn the ground they set out to conquer. If the RON wins, they will put a stop to the forward momentum of the COAC preventing any offensive campaigns for the next (2) Campaigns. All players who participate will be awarded the points they earn for each build. The winning team will earn this tag: Players can have only (1) GBW Tag in their profile at a time. If you would like this tag, please let a GBW Staff Member know. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Recon and EOD Team were fully outfitted courtesy of one of our sponsors, Minifig.cat Be sure to check out their site and all of the great products they offer to build up your armories!
  16. [GBW - Cp 03] - Deland Republic - RON Part A3 - The Wiwaxia Studica Map Grid D6. Somewhere on the internal lake of the continent. As prepared as the forces of the RoN are, there will always be surprises in combat. The goal is to have a reliable counter ready for those surprises ! Designed for quick movement in all kind of waters, including rivers and lake, the FREMM (FREgate Multi Mission) named The Wiwaxia is just such a counter to the CoAC forces. As a FREMM, this Frigate with the ability to launch cruise missiles can totally defend itself with automated 100mm gun on main deck, anti-aircraft missiles on the top roof of the cabin and with anti Submarines mesures, including drifting mines and also with a constant Navy SEAL intervention/boarding team on the breech. She is one of the newest vessels the Deland Republic has launched in order to replace the older and heavier Destroyers still active around the Common Wealth of Southern Territories. With all that equipment, the Wiwaxia, named after the south western county (Land) of The Deland Republic has become a force to be reckoned with. The Deland Republic has sent the Wiwaxia in a counter move against Filace by anticipating their move in Studica E4 and E5 and passed through all Refnor detecting systems thanks to its revolutionary Stealth system. With such a stealth system, she is able to pass through any radar detection and cannot be detected in a civil fleet. Even, during Anti submarines trainings, the crew had to attach some warning systems at the hull in order to mark her for their own subs to avoid collision ! She is now at sea around the shores of Refnor in D6 and is preparing itself for battle. Currently, there is a call from command to launch cruise missiles into multiple locations in grid E5. - Sir We have confirmation of the target in E5 ! Can we begin the firing procedure ? Asked the radio operator. - Yes ! Open the hatch ! Target coordinates ? Answered the Commandant.. - Studica E5 in sub Area A1 and A2 + C1 and C2. Targets aquisition complete. We are waiting confirmation from RON Main Comm-Link... So, since the order from the RON Comm-Link has been transmitted the vessel of nearly 70Studs long aligned itself for fire and prepared its 8 Long Range Cruise Missiles located inside the front main deck, just behind its automated gun. - Targets confirmed sir ! - So let's begin the danse ! FIRE ! SWOOOSH ! SWOOOOSH ! SWOOOOOSH !
  17. Not all soldiers get the luxury of being air dropped into a comfy forest and hiding out to wait in ambush for the enemy. Some warriors have to man the defenses and prepare for the worst! This squad has just arrived and already has taken up position at an Bunker and is ready for the CoAC scum to storm into their area of fire. Armed with state of the art weapons and equipment, this squad can keep in constant contact with the command post. If this team is overpowered and needs to make a retreat, a nearby surface ship can launch a cruise missile attack to give the team time to retreat to their rendezvous point. As the troops get comfortable a explosion from Coac artillery knocks out one of their satellites. The troops quickly rush outside and open fire, only to find a squad of troops. While the troops from Coac believe that they have won, RON troops, whom were camouflaged, suddenly stand up and gun down the Coac artillery gunners. After losing their gunners the remains of the Coac squad retreat.
  18. Shared intelligence between the RoN nations of Briolui and Toohati has lead a general consensus among the intelligence command groups (aka "Spooks" to soldiers) that a small group of CoAC agents have crossed the border between Refnor and Briolui. (Grid E5, southeast corner). A patrolling drone detected several anomalous heat signatures moving southeast from Refnor into the Briolui town of St. Reinhardt. Once into the town, the heat signatures separated, becoming lost among the others. Save one. One heat signature was able to be tracked. It took the road less traveled, heading into the abandoned district... Left empty and walled off after a serious industrial accident, this district has long been undisturbed. Over a decade ago, an explosion at a factory showered caustic and poisonous chemicals over the surrounding area. With no clean-up options available, the city was left with no choice but to evacuate the area and wall it off to prevent people from entering the contaminated zone. As time passed, the dangerous chemicals once prevalent throughout the area have degraded, or been washed away by rain. Today, one man has entered this forbidden district, his intentions unknown, but undoubtedly bad. Campaign 3 Once the general heading of this unknown agent was determined, several squads of JNTF (Joint National Task Force) soldiers were ordered to find and capture this agent, dead or alive. Preferably alive, but dead if there was no other option... The squads broke into two-man groups, all in radio contact. They were dispersed across the south side of the abandoned district, hoping to find and capture this agent within their net. "This is Alpha 1 Command. Bravo Unit, comms check." Toohati Cpl. Keone: "Gandalf, check." Briolui Sgt. Brian McGuire: "Artist, check." A1C: "The target has been designated Crow. Last seen at 21:38 hours heading west, approx. a half-klick northwest from your current position. The spooks say the only intel about a possible destination is a reference to an Eye. They have no clue what that may mean, so focus on finding Crow. Alpha Command wishes you boys good hunting." Gandalf: "Roger that Alpha Command. Artist, I'll take point for now. I used to live in this area, many years ago..." Artist: I got the six. Any place good for an overwatch?" Gandalf: "Not far from here. There was a building near an old bar that may work, if it is still standing. My father used to go there on the weekends.. It was called... " Artist: "Called what? Is the overwatch near the Crow's reported position?" Gandalf: "It is a ways beyond it. Probably another quarter mile. The bar was called 'the Devil's... The Devil's Eye! Alpha Command, can you locate the Devil's Eye?" A1C: "...Command has a location. 86% match. Follow your current heading for another 400 yards, then turn left. About 500 yards down, on the park corner, is the possible Devil's Eye Bar." Gandalf: "I copy. Lets go, we need to get there before the Crow." Moving silently through the darkness, the soldiers slowly and methodically covered the distance to their destination. Reaching the location, Artist quickly scaled the building, positioning himself o the damaged balcony. Artist: "Gandalf, I am in position. I have a good view of... hold on... possibly our target approaching. He is coming east. He must have gone too far in his search for this place..." Gandalf: "I am in the alley. Update in 10." Campaign 3 Artist: "Took a scope pic. Waiting for facial recog from Command, but it looks like a possible hit. Potential weapons in a briefcase." A1C: "Spooks are running a trace on him... Found a match in the Refnor hospital records. Apparently, he received a concussion in a recent car accident. He should not be here. Bring him in." Gandalf: "Understood. Artist, shoot to wound. We need him alive." Warily, but in a determined manner, the man approached. He watched the darkness around him closely, but did not see the sniper above him, nor the soldier in the shadows of the alleyway. Campaign 3 Artist: "He should be visible to you in 3 seconds... Looks like he is heading for the park, not the Devil's Eye." Gandalf: "I see him. Watch him. If he heads toward a different objective, we need to capture him there." Artist: I have a clear shot. He is picking up something in the bushes..." Campaign 3 Gandalf: "It's a cylinder of some sort. Dead drop, or I buy y'all drinks." Artist: "I won't take that bet. What is he...?" Campaign 3 With an echoing crash, the Crow shattered a bottle on the ground. From the shards, he picked out two items: a key and a scrap of paper. Campaign 3 Crow turned and looked at the building across the street. There was the sign he had been told to look for. He cursed himself for losing his way in the dark. Now he was behind his schedule by several hours... Campaign 3 Gandalf: "This is the place. I am gonna take him now." Artist: "Understood. Try to leave me a clear shot in case the stuff hits the fan!" Rising from a crouch, Gandalf swore silently as his knee creaked loudly... Maybe he really was getting too old for this job. Campaign 3 The sharp popping noise of protest from his knee alerted the Crow to his presence. He dropped the key, and drew a mini-Uzi from his briefcase. A stream of bullets whistled around Gandalf, three hitting his chestplate, but none striking flesh. Campaign 3 Gandalf: "Nngh!" Artist: "Firing! Are you hit?!" Campaign 3 With a boom like thunder, flames shot from the rifle, propelling a pointed piece of metal at over 4000 miles per hour... Blowing a chunk out of the Crow's right calf and knocking him to the ground. Campaign 3 Gandalf: "I'm good! I'll get that son of gun!" After a quick struggle, the Crow was bound. His wound was roughly dressed, and Gandalf and Artist began escorting him back to the Mobile Command Center. Campaign 3 Gandalf: "Alpha Command, we have Crow in custody. Send the techies to check out the Devil's Eye. It was definitely his destination." Artist: "It is now officially a record: the new shortest time to locate and capture a person is 43 minutes from last known sighting to capture. That deserves a round of beers!" A1C: "Good work boys. Haul his butt in here, and we'll ship him somewhere... Less pleasant. We need information..." Read the previous installments of this story! 1. A1 "What do you call..." 2. A2 RoN Defense: A2 3. A3 The Wiwaxia 4. B1 RoN Defense: Part B1 5. B2 So long, and thanks for all the fish! 6. B3 Roadside Slaughter 7. C1 Crossroads Command Post 8. C2 The Counterattack To be continued... 19. On a lonely road in Briolui... GBW Campaign 3 by North White, on Flickr "Ve Shall crush the Briolooey dogs and feast upon they're remains." Said a Filace Soldier "Yas, and Ve Shall have much farmland vhen de var is ova." Said the other. GBW Campaign 3 by North White, on Flickr In a burst of machine gun fire, the poorly constructed Filacian Jeep collapsed into two, ending any hope for Filace to take the sector. GBW Campaign 3 by North White, on Flickr FIN Yeah, yeah, I've been on hiatus for a while. Sorry Stash, for letting you down. C&C or whatever.
  20. Infantry is made up of soldiers, and soldiers are one of the most valuable items the RoN Alliance has! True, tanks and helicopters can cost millions of dollars, but those don’t have the ability to assess a situation. A tank cannot decide, based on terrain, the best way to devise an ambush and capture/annihilate the CoAC enemy. Soldiers can! These men have devised an ambush, in the hills and forests of Briolui in grid E5 and intend to take down as many of the enemy as they can. Once the retreat is given by the command post, there will most likely be a cruise missile launch to cover the soldiers retreat. Lemar: Sarge, we've got Refnor forces inbound, small 5 man recon squad moving through the trees ahead. 1 by Phadeout, on Flickr Sgt Grimm: Good eyes Lemar, small enough for us to handle alone, Lobo, Chalk, hold until I call it. Reminds me of a joke I heard "What do you call a group of Refnor soldiers walking through a forest?" 3 by Phadeout, on Flickr Chalk: Dunno Sarge. Sgt Grimm: Hold on, hold on.. Ok green light men drop them. 5 by Phadeout, on Flickr Lemar: Four down, we've got a runner" 6 by Phadeout, on Flickr Lobo: In my sights Lemar: Five down, clean sweep. So what do you call a group of Refnor soldiers in a forest? Sgt Grimm: Corpses. Eyes open, they'll know soon enough their boys aren't going to check in be ready to pull back to the exfil site and call in the big guns, nice shooting fellas.
  21. Map Name: Studica Grid: E5 Size: 48x48 Due to great mobility, the New Brickika armed forced quickly advanced to enemy positions. A coordinated effort with Erotema took down an enemy fighter jet which was crashed inside the military facility. Sadly, it looked like the pilot could not eject in time. The base had a railway line in front of the gate but being so remote, the place was clearly being covered in sand due to lack of care taking. Great Brick War Campaign 3 by Tom Gray, on Flickr The commander insisted that he should lead from the front. One of our men was already picked off by a sniper in the tower. Great Brick War Campaign 3 by Tom Gray, on Flickr Great Brick War Campaign 3 by Tom Gray, on Flickr Again, Erotema came to our aid as a Humvee rolled up to the gate. I managed to shoot the last guard and an Erotema soldier did some counter-sniping. Great Brick War Campaign 3 by Tom Gray, on Flickr One of their medics also came to the aid of our wounded commander, though he still insisted a real leader should take the front of a charge! A small victory perhaps, but these small gains can ensure the overall defeat of our foes!

    (GBW-CP3)-Refnor-The First Trench

Map: Briolui Grid E5 Size: 32X32 We were marching through the fields of Briolui on our way to meet up with another squad of soldiers. Suddenly, we heard voices. I motioned to drop to the ground as we listened to Briolui soldiers in a nearby trench. They complained about how boring the country was and how they wished that they were somewhere facing combat. Their wish was about to come true. Jack and Dan ran towards the trench to provide distraction while Mike and I crawled around to the roadside of the trench. I looked around the corner and saw 4 soldiers. I threw a flash bang and ducked back behind the wall. We ran back around the corner to find all four soldiers on the ground. By the time they could see again, they were surrounded by Refnor soldiers. We searched the trench and found a small laptop with a few locations of other outposts. We sent the info back to HQ and continued along the road into Briolui territory. The build:
  24. (GBW- CP3) Plantasea - The Bridge [Campaign 3 main build] Info: The build features the bonus paratroopers I received during FRACO#1. MOC The Bridge - prequel by BoBKiD206, on Flickr MOC The Bridge pt1 by BoBKiD206, on Flickr MOC The Bridge pt2 by BoBKiD206, on Flickr Fun fact: The "abandoned service tunnels" features a pair of Power Functions led lights with green transclear bricks, that gives the greenish "night vision" effect.
  25. Filace CP3- Uphill Battle Map Name: Studica Grid: E4 The RON countries never did anything to try and thwart the COAC attempts to use the river leading into the Basin in Briolui leaving the gap wide open for an amphibious assault. Immediately after being dropped on the beach by the Plantasea Navy, the First Division of the Filace Marines stormed up the river banks to engage the fortified positions there. They were met with fierce resistance from a company sized element of Various RON forces spread throughout a number of defensive positions already set up. Captain Beeze was extremely dissatisfied with their orders from command. Their task was to get mobile once the Marines had cleared the beach and start forward reconnaissance to find defensive positions further back from the beachhead to engage in a joint raid with the airborne. The only problem in the scenario was that the marines were taking a toll fighting up the hill and the Army Theater commander, Colonel Kilgore who was also inserted with some rangers during the marine assault, would not let Captain Beeze's team move until the Marine's cleared the beach often yelling "We ain't moving till its safe to surf this beach captain!" As the Marines continued to fight on through constant artillery and rocket barrages slowly making headway, the Captain brought his team in to discuss their options. Reports flashed out over the Comm Net that stated a tunnel complex had been found in the side of the hill. Captain Beeze and his team made the decision to "Recon" the tunnels in hopes they might run into some bigger targets to call in the paratroopers.
