  1. After the events depicted on [GBW] - Troop build up - Erotema - Submarine Assembly Plant the first unit of the S90-class diesel attack submarine is to be christened. What does this mean? Normally, whenever a marine unit is ready to enter service, she (I will never understand why vessels are feminine in English) is given a name and someone very important for her own country breaks a bottle of champagne on her hull. In this case, the first unit of the S90 class will be named S901 TRIANA. The namesake comes from Rodrigo de Triana, the lookout who first spotted the American continent on 12 October 1492. It is also one of the most typical neighborhoods in Seville, Spain. “Good morning, this is Antony Stone reporting live from Erotema Shipyards, where the new submarine of our Navy, Triana, is to be christened in the following minutes.” 1 START PRESS by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr “We are close to the catering for the subsequent finger food lunch that will take place after the christening”. 2 CATERING by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr “The authorities today are the following: Mr. Blas Gálvez, President of Erotema. Bishop Marcellus Breadwine, top military priest. Miss. Marifé Gálvez, Miss Erotema 2017 and daughter of President Gálvez. Top Navy officers and the future Captain of S901 TRIANA”. 3 AUTHORITIES by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr “We listen now the anthem of Erotema being played by a small group of…MARIACHIS??? WTF!!! Well, our studios on Erotema city report that as all the available personnel is engaged in the war, the Navy had to hire the services of a mariachi band on tour on Erotema”. 4 ORCHESTRA by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr Overall view of the event. 5 OVERALL VIEW by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr Detail of the Navy Insignia, inspired on that of the Spanish Navy. 6 NAVY INSIGNIA by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr Detail of the submarine sail and the flag of Erotema. From left to right (bow to stern), attack periscope, observation periscope, 16-cell SAM VLS, snorkel, radio antenna, radar. 7 TOWER DETAIL by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr Overall view of the submarine in all her length. INSTAGRAM1 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr Main features: Length 241 studs, about 81 metres. Beam: 22,7 studs (aprox), about 7,6 metres. Armament: 8 650 mm torpedo tubes. Up to 32 torpedoes or missiles (cruise missiles too) plus 4 mines. Each torpedo or missile can be replaced by 2 mines. 16-cell SAM VLS. Crew: 32 + 8 passengers (specops units, training personnel, etc). This submarine has 3 diesel generators and 1 electric motor driving a pump jet, which makes her even more silent than current diesel submarines (of course, more silent than nuclear subs). Its AIP plant extends her underwater endurance for about 30 days without surfacing.
  2. The Royal Marine Office of Oleon has decided to open a branch of royal shipyard in Eltina, thereby supplying more ships, ships, ships to our glorious and incomparable fleet. Although we have already several shipyards in New Terra, but they can't manage all the orders, so it became evident to us that we need a new shipyard. After thorough consideration, the Marine Office esteemed that this new shipyard shall be located at Eltina. Once opened, it will provide considerable job opportunities to the locals, and more importantly, to the Mardieran refugees. We can see here Oleander leader inspecting the new shipyard. The fast patrol boat le Requin is being refitted after the misadventure of M***(shhh, secret mission) Thanks for viewing, C&C are welcome. Vive le Roi!
  3. Map location: Grid C4 in Studica, P6 world. At Erotema Shipyards, the assembly of the first S90 class submarine (to be christened yet) is finishing. STERN MODULE WITH RUDDERS AND PUMP JET by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr President Gálvez went there to take a final look of the manufacturing process. He speaks with the Fleet Admiral... PRESIDENT BLAS GÁLVEZ AND FLEET ADMIRAL by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr "-When will the sub be ready to support our Army and allies? Soon things may go very harsh. No problem President, the sub will be ready to be christened and ready to sail in 6 weeks. Ok. What about the S100 model? It´s on inception. Good." The S90 moves using a pump jet, so it is very silent. TAIL AND PUMP JET by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr The President and Fleet Admiral visit several parts of the factory to see how the work is going on MODULE ALMOST FINISHED by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr MODULE ALMOST FINISHED 2 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en FlickrMODULE ALMOST FINISHED 3 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr And he sees a scale model of the completed submarine and a sample of the weapons carried. SCALE MODEL AND HEAVY WEAPONS by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr "President, this is what our submarine can carry. The black cylinders close to us are naval mines, with them we can block any enemy port or naval route. Next, the cruise missiles, with a range of 2500 km. Its conventional warhead is very powerful and its CEP is less than 10 meters. The dark gray torpedo is an excellent weapon against ships or submarines. It has a double homing system with optic fiber and acoustic sensors, with a range of 50 km and 50 knots of top speed. To conclude, the SSM, with a range of 150 km and able to strike both ships or land targets. Besides, the sub will carry SAM in a VLS in the sail to have short range AAA capability against ASW helicopters." The submarine is a real build I began at the beginning of 2017 after making a 12000+ part LDD. I posted a few pictures of several real lego-built modules, but the pics displayed here with the wall and floor were taken a few hours ago. Enjoy!
  4. The new colonies are screaming for vessels, specifically for coastal transport, fishing, and whaling. As not near enough vessels reach the colonies from the old world, entrepreneurial craftsmen in New Terra has set up makeshift shipyards to meet demand. The easiest way to build ships with limited set ups is by constructing them on a slipway and, when the hull is finished, let the whole vessel slide down the rails into the water. This particular slipway is built in King's Harbour and has quickly become known for producing seaworthy and utilitarian (although somewhat broad-bottomed and clumsy) vessel of high quality. These vessels are affectionately known as the King's Harbour Tubs. _____________________________________________________ A take on a medium factory for King's Harbour - I have been planning a full-size shipyard with drydocks for a while, but felt like starting out with something simpler, reflecting the pioneering spirit of New Terra. I expect to outfit the hull later for licensing. Ever since thisbuild, I have wanted to try a brick built hull with that sort of inner skeleton, and I find it worked out well. (Although more expert builders can probably create more organic shapes...) C&C is, as always, welcome and encouraged. Thanks for looking!
  5. A large shipyard like mine needs its resources split to be ready for all eventualities! So I decided to have part of my shipyard in Elysabethtown (coming at some point) and in Quinnsville (more coming at some point too). For today we are showing you around in the outfittery in Quinsville - we are installing the masts, installing the rigging, and, in the case of a Warship, installing many guns. Let's take a look at my new Heavy War Brig being outfitted! Hey you guys! We need to wait with the last 4 guns for the forecastle and Quarterdeck! We need to get the gundeck filled first! (guy in the grey suit) Why do we have to scrub the sidewalls again? You were the one being stupid, you ...! (guy with the beard and no hair) ROW ROW ROW YOUR BOAT, ROWADY ROWADY YOUR BOAT (guy rowing the green boat) YOU CAN'T SING, SHUT UP! (guy steering the boat) PULL! PULL! (guy holding the rope to pull up the upper foremast) You are almost there, just a few meters more! (guy with the green pants on top of the mast) Holding it! (guy holding onto the mast not helping) Stop this! (guy with the beard) Are you allowed to build a ship here? (one of the Corrington Soldiers) Yes, here, check the papers. (Jerome Monezterell) Total area. I'm not sure if I should license this as a medium artisan and finish the brig or use the hull for another ship (tear this one down) and license this as a large artisan, as this build covers 64x48 studs, more than enough for it. I'll add some pictures of the Heavy War Brig (that doesn't fit into any definition, as it has 10 24 pounder carronades (the classical cannons you can see), 6 9 pounders on the upper part as well as 4 9 pounder chase guns. I feel like it is to small for a 5HA, and 5LA wouldn't fit as this isn't exactly a fast ship, and a 4HA doesn't exist. Oh well...) once my upload works again. A total of 56 minifigures are participating in this build:D
  6. Hi there, inhabitants of New Terra, pretty late, but here goes, presenting my first FB this month: The 'Royal Shipyards' in Breshaun With the ever growing demand for new ships in the waters of New Terra the naval yards in mainland Oleon alone cannot keep up. So some time ago already the 'Office Royal de la Marine' had decided to set up a branch of the 'Royal Shipyards' in the city of Breshaun, providing high-quality shipbuilding and ship maintenance expertise on-site. The compound is flourishing. It's constantly growing in size, and new buildings and installations are being added regularly, obvious proof of Oleon's expanding presence on the waves, as well as Breshaun's increasing importance for the Empire. Last month I presented a small peripheral facility to you, this time we're visiting the entrance of the 'Royal Shipyards' main compound situated directly at the mouth of Breshaun's harbor. about: Not much to say about it, could have been larger, but this month was pretty crowded. All is buildable, I'm kind of cool with the way the gate's arch turned out, the rest is rather regular business. The 'Crown-Wheel-Anchor'TM is the registered emblem of the 'Royal Shipyards' The architectural style is influenced by buildings I saw in Rochefort, France. It was a fun build, experienting with two colored walls and a SNOTed ceiling, but making the rider hold that letter was a real annoying job More of this shipyard is likely to follow. Thanks for watching, C&C as always very welcome! Vive le Roi!
  7. [OL - FB1] A Small Shipyard

Hi guys, I'd like to present my first freebuild here, for the glorious Empire of Oleon. It's a small shipyard in the vicinity of the city of Breshaun. Small shipbuilding facilities such as this one have sprung up in the dozens all over Le Bellan to meet the demand for ships these days. Although being simple stations without the grandeur and vivacity of the large 'Royal Shipyards', they are a vital part of Oleon's plans for expansion in the new world. In fact they are part of the 'Royal Shipyards' system and fulfill a dual purpose. Firstly they relieve the larger facilities from both construction and maintenance of smaller vessels, freeing the hands and minds of the master shipwrights there, enabling them to focus on the planning and execution of more capital ships. But in addition, these small stations are being led by dedicated junior shipwrights single-handedly as part of a teaching program. Those that excell in the duties thrusted upon them are awarded the status of master shipwright, thus increasing the shipbuilding potential of the nation even with sparse resources. Here's some more: Hope you guys like it, C&C welcome. Vive le Roi!
