  1. 25 September, 2019 Timfield Highway route 45 - Carrefour outskirts - siege day 3 1 battalion, 232 Royal Brioluian Rifles advancing to support defence of the city. Orders to rendezvous with remaining elements of 4 Fielder Rifles (reserve) and civilian volunteers in defence of Military Research Bureau. Strategic value... absolute - loss of area and capture or destruction of classified weapons prototypes unacceptable. "Bloody hell" Private Maxim Throstle said as the truck passed a car that had gone through the barrier on the side of the highway and straight into the backyard of some terribly designed houses. What scared Maxim the pool of blood and arm sticking out from the bottom of the car. On a normal day, Firefighters, Police and Journalists would be everywhere, but there wasn't anyone around, even the houses through the hole looked abandoned. That's when it hit him, the world had changed and it was never going to be the same again.
  2. Infantry is made up of soldiers, and soldiers are one of the most valuable items the RoN Alliance has! True, tanks and helicopters can cost millions of dollars, but those don’t have the ability to assess a situation. A tank cannot decide, based on terrain, the best way to devise an ambush and capture/annihilate the CoAC enemy. Soldiers can! These men have devised an ambush, in the hills and forests of Briolui in grid E5 and intend to take down as many of the enemy as they can. Once the retreat is given by the command post, there will most likely be a cruise missile launch to cover the soldiers retreat. Lemar: Sarge, we've got Refnor forces inbound, small 5 man recon squad moving through the trees ahead. 1 by Phadeout, on Flickr Sgt Grimm: Good eyes Lemar, small enough for us to handle alone, Lobo, Chalk, hold until I call it. Reminds me of a joke I heard "What do you call a group of Refnor soldiers walking through a forest?" 3 by Phadeout, on Flickr Chalk: Dunno Sarge. Sgt Grimm: Hold on, hold on.. Ok green light men drop them. 5 by Phadeout, on Flickr Lemar: Four down, we've got a runner" 6 by Phadeout, on Flickr Lobo: In my sights Lemar: Five down, clean sweep. So what do you call a group of Refnor soldiers in a forest? Sgt Grimm: Corpses. Eyes open, they'll know soon enough their boys aren't going to check in be ready to pull back to the exfil site and call in the big guns, nice shooting fellas.
  3. Previous parts: Refnor Wants You! The Enlistment Trouble at the Mall Capturing the Bridge Refnor dispatched the Omicron Squad, one of their special forces. They pressed into Briolui to take control of the river (Map E5) ----- Closer look at tank: Closer look at truck: Closer look at jeep: Next part: Onward!
  4. While scouting for his next mission, Captain Mesabi encountered a patrol.... Prelude by North White, on Flickr With a swift click, his underbarrel shotgun fired, ripping the man in half. Prelude by North White, on Flickr Nothing Would stop Captain Mesabi from his mission... Prelude by North White, on Flickr FIN Thanks for viewing my build. I'm still in this, sorry I missed campaign 2 . I'm not entirely sure if this can be scored, because it's not entirely reconnaissance. Judges, use your best discretion. And please let me know if this kind of build doesn't work. Apparently you can't do recon until level 21. Please wait to judge this build until such time as I hit that level. However long that takes...

  6. The patrols returning from maneuvers in the west of Briolui had uncovered a series of points (Grid E5) through which light troops might be able to effect a ground strike into Refnor or Erotema. As plans took shape squds were tasked to reinforce some of these areas and bridging materials were brought in to facilitate higher speed deployment at a later time. Although these areas were lightly reinforced the likelihood was that the enemy wouldn't be able to bring any heavy equipment or armour to bear either. CP1-Overview by Phadeout, on Flickr The trees and other dense foilage on the other side of the river has been cut down to improve sight line for the defenders but not so much that an enemy advance would notice the claymores wired in to tear apart a charging infantry force. CP1-Mines by Phadeout, on Flickr A fair selection of weaponry is on hand to resist any enemy advance, with both anti-armour and anti-infantry CP1---Position by Phadeout, on Flickr At this stage in the conflict the troops are already well versed in catching breaks when you can! CP1---Break by Phadeout, on Flickr A small group of the troops have the high ground to see the enemy coming from as far afield as possible and to give cover to their squad mates if required. CP1---Outcrop by Phadeout, on Flickr The troops are hoping to be given the order to advance but for now will be holding this position. Thanks for viewing :)
  7. Not short on manpower the Briolui military machine sent a number of small groups in the mountains near their borders with Refnor and Erotema to scout the area for possible staging areas and routes that could be used to allow access deeper into enemy country should the need arise. The terrain seen here isn't too hostile but further into the mountains things would become more challenging undoubtedly.. gbwtm1_5 by Phadeout, on Flickr It was also thought to be a good opportunity for infantry troops to gain some alpine training, with several mountainous regions in the possible conflict zone it was deemed a worthwhile and relatively low risk exercise before any serious hostilities erupted. Every advantage gained now could pay for itself many times over when the sides warring groups met head on. gbwtm1_7 by Phadeout, on Flickr gbwtm1_2 by Phadeout, on Flickr gbwtm1_6 by Phadeout, on Flickr All the action here takes place in E5 for those interested, whether or not these troops had crossed any borders, well that would be telling...
  8. This is Thierry Laurent bringing you the morning news update here on Briolui Breakfast. Newsdesk1 by Phadeout, on Flickr We are going straight to our reporter in the field, Marie Duchamps, who has breaking news from our capital, Vieuxfort. Marie, what do you have for us? Reporter by Phadeout, on Flickr Thank you, Thierry, we are here in the quartier des ponts, behind me armed forces, seemingly led by a member of the usually secretive Military Intelligence, have arrested a man known to originally be from Refnor but living here in Briolui for over ten years on what appears to be a series of charges related to an attempt to assassinate a top military figure. Further details are unavailable at this time, but it is clear that a weapon appearing to be some form of sniper rifle has been removed from the property as well as a laptop and other devices. If this is the case can we assume that he was an agent operating at the request of his government or a lone terrorist? There are many questions and it seems Military Intelligence will not be making an official statement at this time but I suspect we will hear more about this later today. Arrest1 by Phadeout, on Flickr Thank you Marie, well even with all the facts still to be released we can expect an increase in the tension between the native people of Briolui and the not inconsequntial number of residents originally from Refnor, and indeed Filace. Speaking as an individual I would urge citizens to be vigilant but remember that the vast majority of the people of these countries are hard-working, honest folk, albeit the ones from Refnor are normally a little bit stupid and only really useful for manual labour. And now sport. Full shot of the build Arrestoverview by Phadeout, on Flickr
