  2. We figured we'd open up a thread here, where people can post up their military style minifigs, customs, weapons, and gear. Post up your pics and try to include a brief description and impression of the items and their brands. Let people know what you think about them as they might be interested in purchasing them. We realize there is a separate section in the forum for minifig customization, but this is specific to military and for this game. Post up what you got!
  3. WELCOME TO BBN! The Brick Built News Channel Your Hosts for the evening (in order): Brick Johnson, John Studley, and Phil Brickman This is the place where staff members will create story lines and show events that are taking place in the brick world. Players will need to keep an eye on this thread as events may be covered that affect their country. These News Casts are independent of side builds and staff members will not receive points for any of these.
  4. Campaign 7- Failed State The RON and COAC Forces failed to secure all of the military installations in Xenor. They are both scrambling to secure the 3 remaining sites and engage each other on the battlefield. Sites Lima, Oscar, and Papa were not cleared by either side. Lima and Oscar are both clear of Nukes, but Xenor military personnel are still deemed a threat, though they have lost their leadership and have largely disbanded. In the shuffle, it is suspected that Xenor military personnel detonated a tactical nuclear weapon in the city of Haams outside of site Papa. Though small in size, the nuke did significant damage to the city. The staging COAC AND RON forces preparing to battle inside the city are now taking Nuclear Fallout precautions. Xenor military personnel have evacuated site Papa due to the engulfing fallout. Militaries from COAC and RON Nations arrived in haste to all 3 locations. The stage was now set for the largest battle of the war so far! Campaign Guidelines The 3 battlefields are: The radiated and battered city of Haams Weapons test site Lima Army Base Oscar Each player can choose which battlefield they want to attack. This does not need to be publicly disclosed until the player posts their campaign. (PLAYERS FIGHTING IN AND AROUND HAAMS MUST SHOW PREPARATIONS AND PRECAUTIONS FOR RADIATION - Post Apoc Fans, You're Welcome) Which ever side has the most cumulative points at each battlefield will capture that battlefield. The most battlefields captured wins. All builds must be posted as a new topic in the “Great Brick War” subforum, the title prefixed by, "(GBW- CP7)" followed by the Country you’re representing, and then your MOC’s Title. Example "(GBW- CP7) Filace - Broken Country" Neither side should show their forces definitively destroying the opposition. Showing successes is okay, but not total domination. The winners of the campaign will be decided based on the points awarded from judging. This means if your team doesn't score well, it's possible for your forces to be beaten back. MINIMUM SIZE BUILD IS 32 X 32 All LDD Builds must be labeled- Example: (GBW- CP7) Country - Title of build (LDD) All builds must be new MOC’s and not prior builds. Photo Editing is to be kept to a minimum with only real edits of lighting and color correction. No special effects. Players may crop one picture of their MOC onto a background picture to help with their landscape if they’d like. Pictures cannot be bigger than 800x600 Players may post a link to an offsite host such as Flickr where Higher Resolution pics are located. Be cool and share your photos in the GBW Flickr Group! Please refer to the General Rules Topic for limitations based on your Point Level. Upon completion, players must also post a link to their build in the AAR Thread as well letting the judges know that it is eligible for scoring. INTEL WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE ON 5/31/18. (2) PIECES AVAILABLE. FIRST COME FIRST SERVE. LIMIT OF (1) PIECE OF INTEL PER PLAYER. CONTACT @TheBeeze VIA PM. NOT AVAILABLE TO STAFF. Campaign Duration 5/29/18 - 7/9/18 All builds will not be finalized until the closing date for the campaign. Players can edit their posts up until that point. As long as it is 7/9/18 somewhere in the world, you can submit. Use this as a deadline https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/usa/baker-island The Outcome The winning side will have successfully conquered Xenor and it will become a member of that alliance. Xenor's resources and land will be available to all members of that alliance. All players who participate will be awarded the points they earn for each build. The outcome will also determine what happens next. The Brick of Nations

The Brick of Nations The Brick of Nations is an International Organization composed of Sovereign Nations and other International Organizations. The Brick of Nations is aimed at establishing International Law and serves as a forum for Nations to both air and resolve the grievances. The Organization has served for decades as a lasting moderator and advocate for global peace. This is where nations are free to bring forth their issues or seek to invoke international laws. Nations that have more than (1) Player must ensure that they have only (1) representative at a time to voice concerns at the Brick of Nations. This will be left to the individual nations to decide who their representative will be. The format for addressing the Brick of Nations Shall be as follows: 1. A player wishes to motion for a new international law - A player must post in this thread that their nation is seeking to institute an international law. That nation must... Build a case in their post as to why this needs to be done and... The player must get (3) other nations to co-sign their motion by posting agreement to said motion in this thread. If a player achieves the (3) cosignatures, the council (myself and staff) will determine if the cause can move to a general vote. If it is determined that the Brick of Nations is not going to vote, the issue is dead and cannot be resurrected unless circumstances provide building a substantial case. If the council approves the motion to vote, a separate thread will be opened to vote. Each nation will have (1) vote. If multiple entries are posted from (1) nation, the first one will be the vote counted. 2. A player can air a grievance with another nation - A player can seek to resolve an issue with another nation directly or they can ask for a council resolution. If a council resolution is requested, it must be detailed and show cause for a resolution. The council will determine the outcome of any resolution and may open the floor to a vote as outlined in #1. 3. A nation can make a formal declaration - this is used for nations to state intentions. Declarations of War, territorial outcomes based on battle, intent to break a treaty or alliance, ultimatums. Any country that is seeking to use military force against another must formally declare war against the country it is using force against. Any nation that uses military action against a sovereign nation without declaring war may be subject to action from the Brick of Nations. All posting in this thread is to be done in character and as a representative of your nation. Players are encouraged to create a unique Minifig to represent them as their nations Ambassador to the Brick of Nations. Staff may create ambassadors for your country to use for promotional content to drive the game. It is important to keep an eye on this section and try to build (pun intended) off of what the staff creates. This area is not to be abused or cluttered with endless back & forth ranting. Be professional and diplomatic. Accepted Laws through Legislation Passed by the Brick of Nations: Resolution BW001- The use of all Nuclear, Chemical, and Bio Brick Weapons is outlawed. Countries are to cease all programs furthering development of these projects.
  7. Campaign 6 Race to Safety Map Name: Studica Grid: F10 Oscar Time: 2345 An agent with the Plighia Special Services makes contact with Xenor rebels who have ties to the Servants of Freedom. The agent is hustled passed the men into a pickup truck heading who knows where.... Ten minutes down the road the truck stops and picks up an agent from Toohati along the same highway and keeps driving. They drive for over an hour with neither exchanging any information or pleasantries. They arrive at a warehouse just south of the border with Swintoc. Both agents are brought inside where they meet a man named Victor who explains he is with the Servants of Freedom and extends warm regards from Caesar, their point of contact who is unable to join them. Victor informs both of the agents that they will be taking a trip to a Xenor Army Base - Location Oscar, where they will intercept intel with the SoF. Victor cracks open a crate and starts handing out Xenor Army uniforms and Gear. Once suited up, they all get back in the truck and make their way to base Oscar. While enroute to the location, both agents wind up divulging to the other which government they are with. This is accompanied by heightened tension sitting with their enemy. They have no problem getting on the base. It becomes clear to the agents that the SoF clearly has contacts in high places. After passing through the check point and driving for 10 minutes down a long road in the base, the truck stops in front of a large concrete building. They all get out and two of the SoF members start carrying a crate toward the front door of the building. Victor exchanges greetings with the guards who ask for paperwork. Victor motions his men to bring the crate over. They crack open the crate to reveal their "paperwork" to the guards who naturally let them pass without issue. The guards on duty were placed there by SoF personnel embedded in the Xenor military just for this reason. Victor takes the two agents inside while the rest of his men stay outside pulling watch. While inside, the three men pass through the tight airlocked hallways. They come up to a solid enforced door with a single guard standing watch. He has been radioed by the guards at the door to let them pass through. The three men walk into what looks like an armory and see several boxes and crates that appear to be in the process of getting ready to ship out. Victor looks at one of the manifests on a crate and asks the agents to help him open the crate. They look at each other in hesitation and proceed figuring they've already come this far already. The agent from Toohati peers inside the crate and sees with his own eyes a Nuclear Warhead half way prepared to be used as with an explosive primer. Victor starts telling them that the SoF personnel they have embedded in the military tipped them off about a massive operation to smuggle WMDs around the continent into all of the other nations for use. The Plighian agent stands in disbelief and snatches the manifest out of the other agent's hands to read it with his own eyes. This particular package was being sent to Erotema. Victor and his Personnel carried the crate out and loaded it into the truck. Both agents accompanied them back into SoF territory. Before dropping the agents, Victor told them action would be needed to prevent Nuclear Armageddon from happening and that they would need to work together to eliminate this threat or it would be their own downfall. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- With the revelation surrounding the Nukes found in Xenor, RON and COAC forces have agreed to launch a full scale invasion into Xenor in an attempt to secure military installations suspected of harboring WMDs. Campaign Guidelines RON and COAC forces should be shown engaging Xenor forces at locations across the country in an effort to secure possible WMD sites. There are 16 sites in total. RON and COAC forces will need to coordinate their movements to ensure that all 16 sites are covered. In the event a site is missed, the circumstance does not need to be explained. The terrain is temperate and cool. Often very windy and wet. All builds must be posted as a new topic in the “Great Brick War” subforum, the title prefixed by, "(GBW- CP6)" followed by the Country you’re representing, and then your MOC’s Title. Example "(GBW- CP6) Filace - Ouch that stings)" Neither side should show their forces definitively destroying the opposition. Showing successes is okay, but not total domination. The winners of the campaign will be decided based on the points awarded from judging. This means if your team doesn't score well, it's possible for your forces to be beaten back. MINIMUM SIZE BUILD IS 32 X 32 All LDD Builds must be labeled- Example: (GBW- CP6) Country - Title of build (LDD) All builds must be new MOC’s and not prior builds. As long as it is 5/7/18 somewhere in the world, you can submit. Use this as a deadline https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/usa/baker-island The Outcome Both teams are working to prevent a nuke from going off. -In the event all of the sites are covered, Xenor will be disarmed and the RON and COAC will need to help stabilize the region and establish a new government in Xenor through the Brick of Nations. -If a site is missed, both sides will be on the hunt for missing WMD and at total risk. All players who participate will be awarded the points they earn for each build. 8. Welcome to the Great Brick War, Generals! You are about to embark on a new strategic brick journey. Before posting, please be sure to read all of the rules below and in the General Rules Thread. The following countries will be available for selection at game opening. We will allow 2 players per country after the first 12 countries are selected once. Please try and select countries that others have not from the onset in the interest of making the game more diverse. Players who sign up during the initial rollout will have options to change countries and alliances that will not be given to players who join later. Briolui - (RoN) - (Available) (Available) Filace - (CoAC) - (Captain Genaro) (Available) Erotema - (CoAC) - (Sigpro) (Available) Refnor - (CoAC) - (Lord Buckethead) (Available) Toohati - (RoN) - (Leonardo da Bricki) (Available) Swintoc - (RoN) - (Silvasio) (Available) Alsarh - (CoAC) - (Lo var Lachland) (Available) Isle of Rahz - (RoN) - (Umbra-Manis) (Available) Plantasea - (CoAC) - (paintballman) (BoBKiD) Commonwealth of Southern Territories - (RoN) - (Stash2sixx) (jansued) New Brickika - (CoAC) - (Spud The Viking) (Adamsons) Deland Republic - (RoN) - (Faladrin) (French Man) Plighia - (CoAC) - (ODA 401) (Available) Tyera - (RoN) - (LegoRacer1) (Available) Balafih - (RoN) - (Johannsued) (Available) ______________________________________________________________ Players must post in this thread with the name of the country they wish to join. This is a first come first serve basis. Please refer to the country index thread to read summaries of the countries and help make a decision. Remember the goal of this game is to enjoy yourself. Do not pick a country solely because you believe it has an advantage, things change in war on the drop of a dime. Players who work harder with lesser countries may be rewarded more so than those who perform mediocre with greater countries. All things to consider. Be sure to introduce yourself and list: Your Alliance, Your Country, and post a 100 x 100 Picture of your character. Tell us about your country (be creative) and what you hope to accomplish in the game. If you have questions, post them up here. ______________________________________________________________ Show your colors with our custom signature banner! Great Brick War by Jesse Beeze, on Flickr
  9. All players must post here, with links to all of their new builds so that they can be scored. Each player shall make ONE POST in this thread and one post ONLY. They will continually update their original post as they progress through the game. This is for tracking and record keeping purposes.
  10. Welcome Troops! The Great Brick War is a brick built Military Lego Adventure. You choose fictitious sides, characters, and countries to represent in the game. The more you participate, the more you can do. As you build and advance your character and country, you will earn the ability through a points system to unlock new types of buildings, technology, missions, and character perks. You drive the game. Your creativity is the limit (aside from breaking the rules). Your goal is to be creative and build some great MOCs. Strategizing is important and you are playing to win, but at the same time, you are here to have fun and become a better builder! Keep everything you do grounded in that principle. Before we come under fire, let's go over some rules that'll keep you alive! For Beginners- Choose a side - The Republic of Nations and the Coalition of Allied Countries are the two factions. Neutral Countries may become available as the game progresses. *See Map and Country Index* Choose a country - Pick a country that may have something in common with your build style, minifig types, or part availability. It is important to stay true to the description of the country. Be sure to check the climate and geography to help you decide. The initial players will have the opportunity to be creative and mold their country's image. *See the World Map and Country Index for Info on Countries and Alliances- check which countries are currently available in the Country Selection Thread* Build your character - You will tell the story of your country’s war effort during each campaign through the experiences of your character. In the beginning your character will be a soldier. As you progress, you will earn the ability to upgrade your character to different roles based on their point level. Your character should reflect their military. Obviously different militaries around the world share some similar uniforms so not everyone will have different looking figures. Your figures should share uniformity amongst them (ie. you should not have (2) soldiers in a squad with 1 wearing blue and then another in yellow.) With regard to color tones of minifigs - You can use yellow or flesh colored. This is a game, for fun. Do not misconstrue or attempt to make an issue out of anything with "race". We are depicting warfare with toys. Post an Intro in the introductory thread and request access to your teams private comms. Start Strategizing with your team for the future. The more involved you are the more there is to do. We have something for everyone here. How to play the game: The Brick War has been going on for some time now and things have shifted all around the globe. Countries have been left in ruin and countless lives have been lost. This game is unique in the fact that there is truly something for everyone to do. There are a lot of different ways to be involved here. Campaigns 1. Campaigns are launched usually every 1.5 Months based on the current situation in the game. Players are given a scenario and a list of guidelines on what is required of them for each campaign. 2. Player builds will be scored by a panel. The criteria for scoring will be based on the following- Originality, Build Quality, and Presentation. Points may be penalized for not following guidelines. Builds will be scored on a scale from 1-10. A score of “1” is minimal effort (A minifig on a plate). A score of 10 is an exceptional build (detailed minifigures in a scene, with vehicles, terrain, and scenery, containing a story utilizing top notch building techniques). Achieving a score of 10 will be reserved for the highest quality builds. A player's score for a build will be calculated by the average of (3) Judge's scores encompassing the above criteria. Players who score 10 over will receive 4 bonus points. 3. A player’s entry for a Campaign will need to be posted in a thread of it’s own following the respective titling guidelines and by the appropriate due date. Once the due date has passed, the builds will be scored. You are free to edit them prior to the due date. 4. Each build a player completes for a campaign should be original. Players will be penalized points during scoring if they use the same builds for multiple campaigns or alternative missions. Vehicles and minifigs are the exception to the rule, but not to be taken advantage of; strive for variation. Buildings and landscapes must be original. 5. Some campaigns may require sides to strategize and coordinate for maximum effectiveness. Each side will have a private Comm Channel to discuss. Players must make realistic moves and decisions when engaging in battle. The country of Filace could not launch a tank invasion of Swintoc because they would need to roll through (2) Sovereign Nations to get there. Unless they own that territory or are allied with those countries, they can't just roll through. At certain ranks (See the Rank / Point Level Scale Below) players will be allowed to utilize paradrops in campaigns. This will allow you to move forces into areas that may not have been accessible prior. Only on those ranks will you be able to do that. Once you rank up, you lose the ability. Plan wisely. 6. The outcome of the Campaigns will be affected by points earned for each side. Battlefield victories may change the direction of the game. Some times the victorious side will be given options to choose the direction of where the game goes next. The highest scoring player may occasionally be given an opportunity to change their country’s alliance. The player that wishes to do so will have to express their interest publicly prior to staff approval. The reasoning must be well thought and presented for staff consideration. 7. For Campaigns which will result in either an RON or COAC victory we have developed a point scoring system. With fluctuations in participation, we have tried to figure out the best way to not penalize sides who may be missing a few people for a single campaign. As long as the side with lesser builds has 2/3 of the number of builds as the higher side, we will take the average score for each side and that will provide us with the winner. If they cannot must 2/3, they will not win the campaign. Campaign builds need to be titled as follows: [GBW] - CP # - Nation - MOC TITLE [GBW] = Great Brick War CP # = Campaign number Nation = Your Nation Moc Title = What you've decided to call your build Side missions In addition to the campaigns, players will have a chance to build alternative projects to earn extra points to enhance their character. All of the Side Missions above are at the player's discretion, these are not required to play the game. It is possible for side missions to influence the big picture of the game somehow. Supporting the war effort- Players can depict scenes from their country where people are doing things to aid the war effort. Everything from military training to factory production of goods is fair game. Sabotage- Players can build scenes showing local resistance sabotaging the war effort of their enemies domestically. This is not a SPECOPS mission so there should be NO High Speed Tier 1 NVG guys running around with tricked out guns and Semtex. These are underground resistance fighters that your country might be arming or supporting. This is your build, but you're building in someone else's country. Don't build something that you would hate to see done to your country. Media- Players can build scenes showing the media covering outside events that are going on to enhance the game. Troop Build Up / Movement- In order to move large concentrations of troops to other regions for the next campaign, players can build scenes showing their forces moving into a new position. (Air or naval travel to a friendly a nation, ground movement along main roadways through allied nations). Reconnaissance- Players can depict their armies or resistance conducting RECON of their enemies. Everything ranging from field positions to manufacturing plants is fair game. (These can be unlocked when your character achieves level 21.) Lord of War: Players show their country acquiring new vehicles, guns, or other weaponry from an arms manufacturer or trafficker. It is important to note, this build is not just to show off something you have purchased or a specific vehicle you have made. You must build an environment, develop a story, have something to do with a manufacturer or trafficker. Players who just put things on display with these builds will not score well. Escort and Patrol- Players are to make builds showing their forces either A. Escorting someone or something of a level of importance or B. Patrolling an area currently under their control. Obviously combat is acceptable in a build like this, but 1. It Is Not Required and 2. Should not be a whole large scale battle. These builds will be scored based on the same criteria as campaigns, but the highest point value you can earn for a side mission is 4. Achieving a score of 4 is the equivalent of a 9 or 10 in a campaign; not easy. Once a side mission is posted, that is the assumed to be the final product and ready for judging. Freebuilds are limited to (4) between campaigns. When a campaign ends, the counter resets to zero. Players who attempt to just build quick and low quality MOCs for the sake of leveling up may not be awarded points at all! Build quality stuff, don't just run through it! This is subject to change if abused for the sake of ranking up. Side Mission builds Should be Titled as: [GBW] - Type of Side Mission - Nation - MOC TITLE Special OPs- Special OPs side missions are reserved for those players who reach the level of 73. When players reach Level 73, they can contact a staff member running The Great Brick War for a Task. These will be detailed and oriented missions specifically tailored to the player and the status of the overall game at that time. Staff will issue the missions and Task #s. Players who earn these missions need to produce higher quality builds. Spec OPs should look the part. No Star Wars minifigs running around here. If you can't do it justice, don't do it at all. Spec OPs scoring will be on the same scale as side builds but harder. Spec Ops Mission builds should be titled as: [GBW] - Spec OPs - Task # - MOC TITLE FRAGO- FRAGO Missions are changes to the normal Operation Order. At times, staff may flash a FRAGO Mission out to an alliance, both alliances, or single nations. Players will have a limited amount of time to respond and volunteer for a FRAGO Mission. Once a player has responded and confirmed their participation in a FRAGO Mission, they will have a limited amount of time to complete it. FRAGO Missions do count toward the 4 Limit of side builds in between campaigns. FRAGO scoring will be on the same scale as side builds (0 - 4). FRAGO builds should be titled as [GBW] - FRAGO - Order # - MOC TITLE On LDD builds: players are allowed to use LDD for their MOCs. However, LDD builds will be held to a substantially higher standard. With an unlimited supply of bricks and faux color palette, you should be able to build the most detailed build of all time. That said, you will have to work very hard with LDD to achieve a high point score. LDD BUILDS MUST BE LABELED WITH "LDD" AT THE END OF THE TITLE. ALL BUILDS, REGARDLESS OF TYPE, ARE TO BE LISTED IN THE AAR THREAD WITH A LINK TO THE SPECIFIC BUILD'S THREAD FOR SCORING. This is for tracking purposes. If you do not post a link to your build in the AAR thread, it will NOT be scored. Diplomacy Trade deals, treaties, and international agreements help build up the premise of the game. Players have a unique ability to further their nations and enhance the overall story of the game by engaging in active diplomacy. Players can seek diplomatic and political solutions to problems they encounter in the Brick of Nations thread. It is important to note, you will need to make a formal declaration of War against another country in the Brick of Nations before engaging in warfare with certain countries. All posting there is to be in character. See that thread for more details. Player Rank / Point Level Scale So we've developed a point system so that you can work your way up through the ranks in this game to build different things. Obviously we don't want everyone right out of the gate running around as a High Speed Night Vision Cool Guy Navy Seal, you have to work your way up to that. As you progress, you will earn the abilities to build and do new things. 00-10 Points - Soldier- assigned to the basic of duties and standard infantry combat. 11-20 Points - NCO- A Small form of leadership in your unit. Still doing basic combat. *USE OF ARMOR UNLOCKED* 21-35 Points - Naval OPs- *NAVAL OPERATIONS UNLOCKED* *RECON MISSIONS UNLOCKED* 36-50 Points - Flight Officer - *AERIAL OPERATIONS UNLOCKED* 51-65 Points - Airborne- Your duties in a campaign expand beyond just taking orders. Your unit can get a little more creative in combat *PLAYERS ONLY IN this rank can utilize Paradropping.* 66-79 Points - Special Forces- The Elite. Carrying out highly specific missions with great effect. *UNLOCK SPECOPS Missions at Level 73* 80-95 Points - Expeditionary Force - *PLAYERS ONLY ON this rank can utilize Paradropping.* Paradropping is only to be used in campaigns by players in that specific rank. Players above or below that rank CANNOT use paradropping. See the Campaign for more rules on using paradropping. More Ranks and Capabilities to be devised at the discretion of the staff and progression of the game. Player Credit Expenditures In addition to the rank system laid out above, players will now have a chance to use some of their hard earned points to pick up in-game perks. As players earn points through out the game, they can spend them like money. Every point earned = 1 credit Spending credits does NOT effect a players rank. All requests for Credit Expenditures must be handled via private message with the staff. The following Expenditures are Available for Use: 1. Purchase a solo campaign- player is given a solo campaign written by the staff that will span a certain length (length determined by the staff). These builds do not effect player's side build quota. Solo campaigns will be simply scored as pass or fail. Pass earns 25 points - Cost 15 Credits 2. Creation of propaganda post on the BBN- A player contacts the staff with a request for a post on the BBN. The player needs to convey the general message of what they want to the staff. If acceptable, the staff will create a BBN Post. - Cost 10 Credits 3. Ability to purchase Intel for a campaign- Each Campaign will have a defined number of Intel Packets available for purchase and the number will be stated when the campaign is posted. Intel is available on a first come, first serve basis. If a campaign has only 2 pieces of intel and the other team purchases them first, they are gone. - TBD Each Campaign 4. Though it is a fictitious world, we will aim to keep this as realistic and as close to modern military themes as possible. Players can use weapons, vehicles, and equipment from any modern military they would like; especially using real designations (ie. F/A 18 Super Hornet) as long as they do not contain references to real world countries. Players can only use real LEGO brand building parts for things like buildings and landscapes. NO COMPETITOR (MEGABLOK) OR CLONE BRAND (LEPIN) BRICK BUILDING PARTS. Minifigure, building accessories, and vehicle customization is not only allowed, but encouraged, through personal customization or the use of third party brands such as: Brick Warriors Brickarms Brickforge Brickmania Combat Brick Eclipse Grafx Minifig.cat Modern Brick Warfare Tiny Tactical Use of vehicle kits from companies like Brickmania is allowed, but players must give credit in their post about it. This goes even if you did some mods to it. If you didn't build it from scratch, give credit where it's due. Join our Flickr Group

Many of the minifigs in this MOC were used by @paintballman in his CP5 MOCs and then mailed to me, in order to have the same level of details and a solid storyline. The container on the side of the building is hiding a power functions battery pack which powers up the lights in the hardware store! It took me a total of 3 days to make this MOC. I was at about 70% when I realized I had forgotten to install the hidden power funcions cables.

  19. Recruiting Campaign 1 The Fight for Support We are going to run a small contest and support campaign before rolling out Campaign 5. The goal here is to help boost our membership here on Eurobricks and gain some new members. There are a lot of talented military builders out there who we still have not reached. Our goal with this project is to reach them. Due to the sizing guidelines listed below and the goal of this campaign, players are asked to focus and build extremely detailed builds. The whole point of this game has been to advance ourselves as builders so let's put that to work here and shell out some serious quality work. All builds can be used as promotional material for the Great Brick War. If players are not okay with us using your Pictures to advertise the game, do not submit a build. We reserve the right to disqualify and not include any builds from completion or in our promotion campaign if we do not feel they are up to the quality we desire. There is no team planning needed for this so start working now and don't wait until the last minute. Build Guidelines Players are to build a 16x16 Vignette - No bigger, no smaller. Players are to show their troops doing anything of their choosing in any location- No Blood or Gore All builds must be posted as a new topic in the “Great Brick War” subforum, the title prefixed by, "(GBW- RC1)" followed by the Country you’re representing, and then your MOC’s Title. Example "(GBW- RC1) Filace - Make Building Great Again") All LDD Builds must be labeled- Example: (GBW- CP4) Country - Title of build (LDD) All builds must be new MOC’s and not prior builds. Players can only submit (1) Picture for Judging. (Other pictures may be linked) Pictures cannot have any watermarks as they will be used for advertising. Photo Editing is to be kept to a minimum with only real edits of lighting and color correction. No special effects. Players may crop one picture of their MOC onto a background picture to help with their landscape if they’d like. Picture Size is limited to 800x600 but players are encouraged to link to a Higher Resolution version we can use. Players may post a link to an offsite host such as Flickr where Higher Res pics are located. Share your photos in the GBW Flickr Group! There are no restrictions as to what you can show in this image based on your points scale. Upon completion, players must also post a link to their build in the AAR Thread as well letting the judges know that it is eligible for scoring. Campaign Duration 11/24/17 - 12/14/17 All builds will not be finalized until the closing date for the campaign. Players can edit their posts up until that point. As long as it is 12/14/17 somewhere in the world, you can submit. Use this as a deadline https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/usa/baker-island THERE WILL BE NO EXTENSIONS FOR THIS CAMPAIGN The Outcome All Participants will receive (3) Points for Completion and (1) Pair of Eclipse Grafx custom molded hands/gloves.(We have been given a random assortment, we will not take requests) You must make a real effort here. Do not just slap minifig on a plate and expect to get points and a prize. The winner will be selected by a group of outside judges. The winner will receive (6) Points and a Prize Pack put together by the staff - (Staff Members not eligible to win physical prizes but do keep their points) As if not already obvious, this campaign is being sponsored by our friends over at Eclipse Grafx
  20. Campaign 5 Through the Mountains Map Name: Studica Grid: E8 Time: 2330 Hours It has long been rumored that the COAC and RON were breaking international law and moving troops and supplies through Xenor to try and gain an upper hand on one another. The recent tumultuous activity in the Brick of Nations has stirred up a bit of trouble for all nations. Since the latest revelation of the CoST base inside Xenor being bombed by the Xenor air force, RON forces have begun amassing along the North Eastern border of Xenor in preparation for an Assault. Meanwhile a pair of COAC jets were dispatched on a reconnaissance flight over Xenor after the Filace intelligence agent was executed in hopes of spotting more RON Forces. The two jets were picked off by the Xenor Harrier force. Both pilots safely ejected in Xenor territory and are currently on the run. Efforts are now underway by COAC forces to push into Xenor to try and rescue their pilots and restore some balance of order as diplomacy has long since failed. Campaign Guidelines RON forces are to be shown either A. Coming to the aid of the bombed base they had inside Xenor or B. Attacking Xenor forces. COAC foraces are to be shown either A. Searching for the lost pilots or B. Attacking Xenor Forces. RON and COAC forces can be shown bumping into each other or bumping into Xenor forces while completing the rescue parts of the mission. Though not required, players who collaborate can improve their score. The terrain is snowy and mountainous. All builds must be posted as a new topic in the “Great Brick War” subforum, the title prefixed by, "(GBW- CP5)" followed by the Country you’re representing, and then your MOC’s Title. Example "(GBW- CP5) Filace - Broke Back Mountain") Neither side should show their forces definitively destroying the opposition. Showing successes is okay, but not total domination. The winners of the campaign will be decided based on the points awarded from judging. This means if your team doesn't score well, it's possible for your forces to be beaten back. MINIMUM SIZE BUILD IS 32 X 32 All LDD Builds must be labeled- Example: (GBW- CP5) Country - Title of build (LDD) All builds must be new MOC’s and not prior builds. Campaign Duration 12/29/17 - 1/29/18 All builds will not be finalized until the closing date for the campaign. Players can edit their posts up until that point. As long as it is 1/29/18 somewhere in the world, you can submit. Use this as a deadline https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/usa/baker-island The Outcome Whichever side wins will gain access to routes of movement negotiated with the Xenor government for future operations. All players who participate will be awarded the points they earn for each build. 23. In here I will mention details and explanations about my builds Campaign 1 The Meeting The throne is inspired from Games Of Throns of course The name of the president is the reversed name of president (and LUG Ambassador) of Greek LUG "Gricks" - Spiro Gero(poulos) -> Orego Rips. He is actually a big guy also The war "Destruction of the Twelve Colonies" that mentioned and in where many chatracters fought is a fictitious interstellar holocaust first depicted in the 1978 motion picture Battlestar Galactica "George Saunders" is my SigFig, me "BoB Falldark" is my buddy from our LUG and co-player here in Plantasea, BoBKiD Secret Rooms The quote that judge Stolz says "When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace", seems invariably to be attributed to Jimi Hendrix. However, William Gladstone once said (prior to Hendrix): "We look forward to the time when the Power of Love will replace the Love of Power. Then will our world know the blessings of peace." ( William Gladstone 1809-1898) . In addition, at around the same time that Jimi Hendrix said his words, Sri Chinmoy Ghose said, "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then there will be true peace." . While Jimi Hendrix may have been influenced by the quotes of the others, the words "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace" appear to be his own (or at least his own spin on theirs). The room of the meeting in the mansion of Duke Carceran is full of deitails of real and fictional wars: Ancient Greece, Medieval, Vikings, Vitenam, Ninjago, Fallout, explorers era, Nexo Knights, 2nd WW, UN missions, Star Wars, HALO, Samurai, Gears Of War, Minecraft. Pirates. As the final comic strip was not very well set and most of the details lost, you can see more pictures here. The Deal The drug lord is named after Captain Hector Barbossa from the "Pirates of the Caribbean" Hell Legion Selection The obstacle course came from the final trial of Greek Ranger School from which I proudly graduated many years ago. The idea behind the unit "Hell Legion" and their soldiers, came from the France Foreign Legion For the pictures of each recruid file, I tried to copy any players sigfig was presented until then Base In Filace -center section The building in the corner is copy of HQ building level 20 of the game "Boom Beach" ( to be continued...)
  24. The first attack hit us pretty hard! We were tasked with setting up a forward position ahead of the front lines along with some other platoons from our company to stop or slow down enemy advancement. Intelligence told us that the enemy will make contact with us in three days time, and they were only off by a day and a half. We had set up two road-blocks along the road with the rubble that was laying around, but that work went to waste by an enemy rocket punching a hole through the first wall. None of us were fresh out of boot-camp, but few of us had ever seen combat, save for the sergeant, but even then it was only small border engagements with cartels. The explosion that punched through the first barrier jarred us at first, but when the .30 cal. went off we were brought back to reality. The first casualty was one of the guys from the MG team that hooked up with us, I saw him go down and it looked like he bought it. The Great Brick War-Battle for Carrefour by ODA 401, on Flickr I was in the back of a building with Sgt. Anders, providing cover for our squad's support gunner when a two-man Refnor recon team rode up to us, ducking for cover when they felt bullets bounce off of nearby walls: Refnor scout: "Who's in charge here?" Sgt. Anders: "I am, Corporal" Refnor scout: "We located an armored column making its way here, it seems this road is on their route." "Can you estimate their ETA?" "Ten minutes max" Refnor scout: "Must be an advanced team...they're a small force, but they have enough firepower to clear this whole area." "Ok, get you and your buddy back to your lines, we got a fight on our hands" "Yes sir" The Great Brick War-Battle for Carrefour by ODA 401, on Flickr "Thorson, patch me trough to TOC!" "On it sir" "TOC, this is Forerunner..." "TOC to Forerunner, we read you loud and clear." "TOC, We got an armored column heading our way..break..Do we have access to any CAS in the area..over?" The Great Brick War-Battle for Carrefour by ODA 401, on Flickr The support gunner in our squad opened up on some enemies that were advancing through the alleyway. He wasted a few before they decided it was best to take cover. I was half expecting the claymore we had set up in that area to go off shortly, but they hadn't rushed through the length of the alley yet. The Great Brick War-Battle for Carrefour by ODA 401, on Flickr The Great Brick War-Battle for Carrefour by ODA 401, on Flickr It was going to be a hard fight, but we had to hold the line. And we hoped they wouldn't get too smart, we had only been able to construct light defenses, and we couldn't afford to take multiple hits from heavy weaponry.
