Juan Alfonso replied: "You are right, father. You are the only one. But I am not sure about myself." "You have handled much of our business as well as Nova Terreli on your own already, Juan. You are the commander-in-chief of the Castillo. And you knew that day would come. You of all people in this new world are the only one who does not have to doubt, my son. And you know it as well as I do.", Román stated. "Thank you, dad.", he said and hugged his father. "Now go and make Eslandola great again!", said Juan, with a cheeky smile. "I am not sure about that slogan yet...", Román murmured, leaving the room. Juan Alfonso Fontonajo was left alone in his personal study near the harbour of Nova Terreli. The city where he would soon be mayor.

The largest ship by far owned by the de la Calle & Quintero group is El Heraldo de Oro, a large trader commissioned to make supply runs between Nova Terreli. the main base of the group and the new settlements in the Prio Seas, especially on the Autumn Isle, recently renamed as Otoño by Eslandola. 4. Don Gonzalo, the notorious murderer of Jamie, was, you may recall, removed to New Eslandola for sentencing. The reason was that the justices of the peace feared the likelihood of a mob insurrection, should Don Gonzalo be found guilty and his sentence be carried out in Terreli. Well, Don Gonzalo was found guilty, which came as no surprise to anyone. But there were quite a few raised eyebrows when it was first understood that he was only being placed under house arrest until the day of his sentence. Most people suspected that someone's pockets had been well lined before that happened. Be that as it may, it was the 29th of November, 616 - the day before the execution of Don Gonzalo's sentence ("elongation of the esophagus," as the judge politely put it). Don Gonzalo was living with a distant cousin of his, who, out of pity, had offered him and his guards a spare room. But the haughty and ruthless Don had soon ceased to be even an object of curiosity to the family, who stayed out of his way and didn't think about him oftener than they could help. So, though it was the day before he was to be executed, his cousin's young son didn't give that a second thought. He was outside playing his favorite game - sparring with the cast iron pump. His mother watched from a safe distance. Fredric could get wild. Meanwhile, outside, things were starting to heat up. Don Gonzalo was taken out by his guards, who laughed and chatted, glad that their onerous duty to this belligerent criminal was about to end. Don Gonzalo only sneered at their good humor. "He who laughs last, laughs loudest," he muttered to himself. He had a good reason for not being concerned. The Terreli mob may have been left behind, but boy had the authorities made a mistake in giving him this much time! It hadn't been hard for him to organize a full-fledged rescue, with a little help from one of his old cronies... Don Gonzalo chucked to himself as he leaned over the rail of his own private ship, later that night. Eslandian officials could be mighty stupid, he reflected. Just witness King Fernando, for one! And now - hurrah for the life of a pirate! A few more shots of the build: This was partially inspired by Legopard and Brick Vader's epic Venice 1486. It was lots of fun to build too, and I hope you enjoyed looking at it! C&C welcome!
  5. Part 1 - The Highest Position Part 2 - Glorious New World Part 3 - Handling Business Part 4 - Winning the people Part 5 - The Candidate Part 6 - The Safe Harbour Plan Part 7 - Beyond Part 8 - The Launching Part 9 - Denied Part 10 - Admius Legistrad Román Esteban Fontonajo had just reached the highest spot on the island of Nellisa. On top of the Terreli Hills stood a small tower, that Fontonajo's men had built years ago. Not only was it a great watchtower to protect the roads and farms from outlaws. It was also the best spot to think about his strategic plans on the island. Román came here whenever he needed time to think. Now that he stood on top of his tower, the suggestion from Willem Guilder and Guy K. Wyndzon circled through Fontonajo's mind. In his early years in the colonies he had not been an active member of Eslandolan politics. But that had changed, especially over the past year. He had become mayor of Nova Terreli and had taken the Viceroy's fortress in a military coup. He was the first to openly oppose King Fernando, even before the latter had attacked Oleon. And he had declared independence for Nellisa, and had become the de-facto-governor of the island. Nellisa had not yet officially accepted the constitution, nor had he. But that was about to change. All was about to change.
  6. Part 1 - The Highest Position Part 2 - Glorious New World Part 3 - Handling Business Part 4 - Winning the people Part 5 - The Candidate Part 6 - The Safe Harbour Plan Part 7 - Beyond Part 8 - The Launching Part 9 - Denied Part 10 - Admius Legistrad From his tower Román Fontonajo looked west. Down the hills, across the many cotton fields, along the road, passing some other farmland, or small forests, or the palmtrees on the coastline, his eyes took sight of the colourful city - Nova Terreli, standing proudly at the Nellisan coast. The second largest city in the new world, some said. It was about time for it to become larger than Breshaun. He looked further, to the harbour and beyond, and there he saw all the ships from all the nations entering and leaving the port, carrying goods and riches, bringing wealth to both the old and new world. Oh Glorious New World, he thought. One day this will all be one, and every single person will live in prosperity. But who was capable of the task ahead? He stood there for hours like this, thinking actively. He weighed strategies and options, considered one future or the other, outcomes, scenarios, inventions, everything. But the more he thought about it the more he realised that he had long made his mind. Following his intuition he turned, climbing down the tower, mounting his horse. Guilder and Wyndzon were right. He had to. He would be back to Nova Terreli within an hour.
  7. Events were moving quickly in Eslandola these days. The king had signed the magna carta, a colonial council was to be formed, and elections to that new governmental body were just around the corner. But where would the new Colonial Council meet? Gov. Guilder thought he had just the place. Weelond's lecture hall was not heavily used, and it was large enough to host large meetings. Although the meeting location of the new council was likely to rotate throughout the colonies, as Eslandola's oldest colony, Guilder thought Weelond was an appropriate location for the first council session. But where the council would meet was not Guilder's decision to make, so after he had the main hall prepared for the council. he invited several of Eslandola's prominent citizens to an unveiling of the renovated lecture hall. Hopefully they would approve of the Weelond lecture hall as a suitable first location for the new Colonial Council. Let's go in... The lecture dias was perfect for the Admius Legistrad, the council leader. Banners were hung on the back wall, flanking the crossed anchors relief behind the dias. MAESTRO representatives discussed matters... The large windows along the side walls let in plenty of light. Members of trade companies and independent traders engaged in lively conversation. The initial council would have seven delegations of three members each, although an eighth delegation was likely in the future. Desks for each council member were covered with green cloth, and provided an ink well and quill. No need for the unused desks to have an ink well, but one of the desks that is supposed to have one is missing it. Perhaps this fellow knows something about that. Here are a couple of pictures without the crowd: And a picture with the entry door attached: *********************** The hall was largely inspired by Independence Hall in Philadelphia. (I've been looking for an excuse to build it in Lego for several years.) The design for the top of the door frames was stolen from Bregir [edit: apparently I stole it from Oleander architects instead]; the design of the fireplaces was largely stolen from Garmadon. I hope my use of several Eslandolan sigfigs was acceptable to those involved. And since it's hard to classify just what property category "government" falls under, and given the backstory for the build as a lecture hall, I'm licensing the build as a large educational property. Besides, self-governance will certainly be a learning experience! Thanks for looking. All C&C welcome!
  8. Ever since Uncle’s disappearance, Guy had been feeling awfully low spirited. He would never have admitted it, of course, but so it was. At first he had thrown himself heartily into the goings on – you know, the signing of the Magna Charta, the creation of the Constitution, and that sort of stuff. But in fact, without Uncle around, he was feeling pretty lost. Proof positive: he had started talking to his old apple tree out back. Time was, Guy aired his speeches on his Uncle. He’d wax grandiloquent over the dinner table and throw out dramatic flourishes as practice for his secretarial duties. But he couldn’t rant over a solitary meal. Mostly because he had an idea that the butler was keeping a close eye on him. So today he was just lounging around, and suddenly found himself in front of a neglected old apple tree. Apples. Guy remembered how his Uncle hated them. From remembering how Uncle hated apples, to remembering that he was due for a speech announcing MAESTRO’s monopoly, was an easy step. (Even just thinking to himself, Guy caught himself and mechanically switched to maestro.) Guy looked around carefully. No one in sight. He could practice safely, without his butler thinking that he had lost his mind. “Citizens of Eslandola!” he began. No, that wouldn’t do: it was so – well, in fact, it had an Oleonish ring to it. “Ladies and Gentlemen!” But that sounded like something a Corry would say. “Bah! Let’s get to the point already. It is my great pleasure to announce to you... but that’s not true. I could hardly care less about the matter. Fact is, there’s not much I care about at all these days. Really, I think I should go on a good ol’ fashioned treasure hunt. Find me a map or sumthin’. Or maybe I should – should – turn harpooner and go on a whaling cruise. Or go live with the Indians for a summer. *Ahem!* Ladies and Gentlemen – green and red apples all – excuse my rambling. To resume. It has fallen to my lot to present to the honorable Trading Company, the Mpya-Steador All-Encompassing S… S… Something… what on earth does that S stand for?!? Statistical? Satirical? Satani-never mind. I ramble. Begging your pardon, apples. I hereby present maestro – I mean, MAESTRO – no – well, yes… What’s a man to say? Put it to yourselves, apples. I say maestro, I offend the reds. I say MAESTRO, I offend the greens. Or vice versa. Well, well. Civilized life’s a tightrope. That summer with the Indians is looking better and better, as long as I can be sure they’re not cannibals. I hereby present a certain Trading Company with – an apple monopoly! Ha! Yes, Guy, that’ll do admirably. Walk up onto the platform and say that. And watch the apples fly – at you. What has become of my flair for dramatics? I can’t seem to think up anything. I’ll probably blank out this afternoon. Yes, I can see it, plain as if it were already happening in front of me. I clear my throat a half a dozen times, smile all round, just manage to choke out – ‘I present… someone… with… something!’ Ha!” And Guy whirled around and strode back towards the house, still muttering to himself. In the end, he wrote his speech out on a fancy placard and nailed it to the Town Hall building, instead. A quick little build to announce MAESTRO's new Apple Plantation Monopoly!
  9. Having seen things satisfactorily settled for the present in Terreli, much to his delight and the amusement of all others, Captain Whiffo had sent Myles off with the Second Mate to the shipwrights of the Capital to commission the preparation of a new ETWC sloop at the shortest notice possible... and, finding that "the shortest notice possible" exceeded his own ideas of propriety (which were quite unique, by the way), he sailed off instantly to return to the New World, leaving a letter behind him at the hotel to let his mates know what was up. But, as the reader has probably guessed, it wasn't very elucidating - yet notwithstanding, our ingenious First Mate got as much out of it as practicable, and proceeded to take temporary command of the Fog-Breaker, to go and attempt to find his eccentric Captain somewhere to the east of Terraversa... Fair skies and fair winds soon saw them off in the direction of Pontelli... Our randomly promoted (at least for now) First Mate: And, the Second Mate by the wheel: The newest addition to the ETWC Eslandolan fleet, the Fog-Breaker is a fast trading sloop, built strong enough to weather the toughest gale, and yet sleek enough to cut through the water far faster than most of its possible enemies. Notwithstanding, it is armed with an 18 pounder in the bow, and the crew have weapons enough to be armed to the teeth. Like my other ship, as well, it has a full interior, accessible by the removable deck - which, unlike last time, note, is actually easily removable! Instead of studs-up I went for an entirely SNOTted deck that sits inside the hull connected by the stud on the bottom half of the mast, and the rigging was designed with the removable deck in view (also unlike last time! ) The ship's-cook (those guys always seem to have a difficult life, for some reason ) And the cabin. Given the raised quarterdeck, the two parts came off separately - and thankfully the quarterdeck didn't have any rigging in the way! The bow and cannon: And a few random rigging shots which I thought were too cool to do away with! The fighting-top: And a top-down view: And, wrapping up with a couple of overviews: And the crew - left to right, the ship's cook, a nondescript sailor, the Second Mate, the First Mate (previously Second Mate of the Henri), and Myles Bowditch, temporary Captain: And lastly the classic shot (just leaving Terreli - at least, that's my excuse for my photo-setup being surrounded by trees, ) Well, well, about this ship - This was supposed to be an experiment to find out how quickly I could build a ship, but as I got distracted about the middle of the building process and took a break to build my large-ish Weyworth Keep which swallowed up about two months, I'm afraid it ended up taking even longer than my last! Nevertheless, it's been sitting around (the pictures, that is - the rest didn't last very long! ) for about a month or so waiting for me to get around to editing them. But that said, here it is, so enjoy! On another note, I'm rather wondering what I ought to licence this as, so suggestions are quite welcome! I was planning on building a 2F for my free licence, but it ended up getting a bit out of hand, and Kai says she'd probably make it a 4 (Note that the full-scale sails do seem to dwarf it, so you'll have to scale it by the minifigs on deck ). I'm thinking a 3F would probably be the best fit... And, as I mentioned for the next time I used it, I've got a tutorial for the cannon design ready (though I don't think it's all that complicated or too original ), but I'm not quite sure if I should dedicate an entire new topic to it or if that (probably) is a bit much... Regardless, anyhow, thanks for viewing, C&C are always more than welcome!

    The Red Hat Gang

This is my entry to the mini challenge: The gangs of Charlatan Bay. These mean guys mean business: The Red Hat Gang. The boss: Big Red Riding Hood He is usually the one with a plan. His lieutenant: Harold Handbag. In battle, harold is wielding a loaded purse (containing a brick). Iron Carl - the problem solver of the gang. Guitar George - he knows all the chords. As well known amongst role players, bards perform an essential job as they keep up the gang's spirit. That is they sing and dance while the others fight. Dunno why. Must be a strange tradition. Smashed-Bottle Billie - always willing to fight for the right to protect the poor. Don't go looking for them. They'll find you! C&C Welcome!

    Consort's Duty

With the success of the Island Rose, the Crahaish neh Triuri invested in a much larger ship. Meet the Consort's Duty. (full image) The Consort's Duty (Class 5F) is the melding of a xebec and a junk, with a little lanteener influence. She was built by the same shipwrights that created the Island Rose. She is currently sailing from Nova Terreli to Trador, with a hold full of religious texts and artifacts. (full image) She is commanded by Captain Missa Drewsa. The shirtless man to her right is her long-time lover, Callum Dunn. Both are devout Truachesh Eslandolans. (full image) The man in the blue bonnet is Tavian deGrosh. He is tired of looking at Callum's tattoo. The pretty boy that spends too much time on his red hair is Tavian's little brother, Natan. "Lady" Julianne Caprice doesn't look like much, but under that heavy cloak are nearly a dozen throwing knives. Gina deLorenz mostly just answers to the name Swabbie. (full image) The Consort's Duty has two swivel mounted, breach bore guns. While the bores on these guns can only accommodate smaller than standard shot, their thickness allows for a more powerful powder charge behind it. That gives them a range long enough to allow the fast vessel space to avoid pirates. At the port side battery is Kindanna Swong. He was a native of Nellissa until he wed the woman at the starboard side battery. Sanya Time is the name most know her by. Fierce and deadly, she has worked decks since she was eleven. The Consort's Duty gets her name from the carving on the bow. The feminine form of the Triuri's Consort faces the bowsprit to suggest that it is the Consort's manhood. (full image) The strongman Felix Joe tries to not think about that while he prepares to throw the circular anchor overboard. (full image) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There are another ten images in this Flickr album. To see all the little things I might have missed in my pics, and to figure out how I built that pretty hull, you can download the .lxf file from this Brickshelf page.
  12. On the Grand Road of Nellisa, near Nova Terreli, is a small roadside tavern. Today is delivery day, and the tavern owner and his family are happy to see the brewer's cart arrive. The tavern owner's handyman rolls the kegs of beer into the tavern... ...and the brewer's workman loads the empty kegs onto his cart to take back to the brewery. The road is still muddy in places from a recent rain, but the old draft horse doesn't mind. It's better than a hard, dusty road, and the trip back to the brewery will be much lighter pulling empties instead of full kegs. *************************************************** This build is 1280 studs (32x40). I'm submitting it for consideration in categories A (Action on the Road) and M1 (Nova Terreli: Merchants). All C&C welcome!

    [ESL FB] Sandcastles

.. after all the buckets had been filled the Colonel told his men to build: Sand Castles This is one of the small scenes that took place on "Dodo Island" (which actually seems to be a part of the beach next to Pontelli) "Dodo Island" was presented at Brickmania Antwerpen last month. C&C welcome!
  14. King Fernando had a lot to think about after the recent events, so he sought refuge in his good old hunting cabin. Here he could wander along the shores, listen to the waves with mighty mountains in the horizon, thinking to himself: I have always liked the wild. Especially the Eslandolan wild. Now, who did it belong to? Not the merchants, nor the peasants. The crown had quite a bit of land in its name. And he was still King. So it had to belong to him. Yes, he was still King of the Hill. He made it out alright, despite the Trade Companies attempts to thwart his power. The Oleon throne was not up for grabs anymore, but he still had a chance at it, if those before him should be so unfortunate to slip and fall on a dagger in the middle of the night. Maybe this crazy situation wasn't so bad. At least he could do whatever he wanted out here, without interference from people that think they know better. Of course they didn't. But he didn't care. He did not rule supreme anymore, but he actually felt relieved. All the stressful years, decades, his whole life in fact had been weighed down with trying to keeping up appearances, trying to get accept from King Phillip and Queen Annetta. For Naught. They would never show him any respect anyway. The councils could have the power. The Responisibility. The difficult decisions. The Anxiety. This. Here. It was much better. For the first time in ages, he felt free. The Jule celebration were coming soon. His outlook on the future shone brighter than ever before. Hope you liked it. Power to The People! And Long Live The King!
  15. Small Palace of Trador Excitement was taking place on the streets of Trador. It received the Town status and rumours spreaded around that today, the 30th November 616 AE, the mayor will be appointed by Lord Maximilian Damaximus. Inside the newly build Small Palace, the Town Council gathered, discussing the latest events. At the first floor of the Small Palace, Maximilian and Margot took residence for the time being... Margot: So it is official now, my father lost his power... Maximilian: Yes my dear, but he still will have a function in the Continental Council. And at least, he still is our king. Margot: Do you think there will be a point in the future where the republicans will remove the crown from our family? Maximilian: not as long as there are royalists and not at all as long as I live. When I received the charter for MAESTRO, I promised your father to make sure of the continuity of the Eslandolan Crown. Margot: I hope the Fontonajo family, who is without any doubt the richest family in these new lands, will keep the things as they are now agreed upon. Maximilian: Roman is a very wise man and he has connections in every corner of the New World, but only in the New World. Your dynasty still has a lot of support in the Old World. Margot: So I am a princess in the Old World, but not anymore in Nova Terelli? Maximilian: Even in Nova Terelli, you will be treated as a Princess by most people. There still are royalists there. As far as I know, Roman hasn't conquered the Royal Fortress of Nova Terelli where your good friend the Viceroy has his residence. Margot smiles Maximilian: As long as Stedor and Trador stand, your father will be King here. Without powers ofcourse, but still... Margot: And Elysabethtown? Maximilian: He will be treated with respect. But I would not count Lady Elysabeth as a true royalist. Luckily her husband, Lord Tomvaximus, is loyal to us... Talking about Lord Tomvaximus, I hear he has arrived downstairs. My beautifull princess, I fear I will have to leave you for some hours. When leaving the room, Maximilian quickly looked around. The armour next to the balcony was a beautifull gift he received from the befriended Viking Tribe. The Royal Princess Guards he received from his father-in-law could have been puppets as well, so fiercly they were standing for hours without moving a finger. At the Council Room, Maximilian Damaximus was waiting for a few Council members to arrive... In the meantime, a musician was playing the Orchan and a service maid was looking for beverage. A beautifull shining armour received from MAESTRO Corrington was decorating the room. A few hours later, Lord Maximilian Damaximus left the Small Palace. at the square in front of the palace, he declared Sir Yohannes Ethiximus to be mayor of Trador. Yohannes made fame in Stedor as brilliant politicus. The perfect guy to be the right hand of Maximilian at Trador. And one more romantic picture with Lord Maximilian Damaximus and Princess Margot of Eslandola and those cool Royal Princess Guards. ------ Thanks for watching! C&C welcome! Made for Cat 3 of the Mini Challenge (Eslandola). Will be licenced as medium residence
  16. Magna Charta: Although in the ages of barbarianism and serfdom a King was essential to secure Eslandola from ravages without, the time has now come to require assurances from the King against ravages within. The rights of a law-abiding citizen to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, demand that government be for the people; and to assure that, it must be by the people. To achieve such a government in New Eslandola a convention is hereby authorized, whose decisions will become law. In recognition of the validity of this document, I, King Augusto Fernando VIII, do hereby sign my name: Fernando Augusto Fernando Augusto VII, King, Eslandola Constitution: The Kingdom of Eslandola will be governed by two councils, the Continental Council and the Colonial Council. The Continental Council, Section I: a) The Continental Council will consist of the relevant BoBS leaders. b) The Continental Council determines locations for troops, ships, and forts, but may be overruled up to half of the force in dispute by the Colonial Council. c) The Continental Council alone has the prerogative to declare war, but may not do so without the express consent of the Colonial Council. d) The Continental Council alone may sign treaties, but they must be ratified by the Colonial Council prior to signing. e) The Continental Council may veto any monopoly. f) The Continental Council has as its sole prerogative the granting of charters, including but not necessarily limited to charters for Trade Companies, Settlements, and Royal Properties. A grant may be vetoed by the Colonial Council. g) The Continental Council must supervise elections to the Colonial Council and must insure that elections be completed in a timely fashion. Establishment of the Colonial Council, Section II: a) The Colonial Council shall consist of eight positions; one position shall be granted to each recognized Trade Company (at the time of signing, East Trade-Wind Company, Merchant’s Colonial Trading Company, and Mpya-Stedor All-Encompassing Science, Trade & Resources Organization); one position shall be granted to independents; one position shall be granted to the representatives of each of the three regions; one position shall be reserved for the Admius Legistrad, elected by all citizens of Eslandola. b) Each Trade Company may decide internally how and when to appoint or elect a member to its position. c) The Independent Position shall be voted upon by all interested members of Eslandola not affiliated with a Trade Company. d) The Regional Positions shall be voted upon by members of a region. No member may vote in more than one region. No member holding a position as Governor or Mayor may vote in a region outside of that in which he exercises authority. No member may vote in a region in which he has not placed a build. Regional Positions may be added by vote of the Colonial Council. e) The Admius Legistrad shall be elected by all citizens of Eslandola. He shall be responsible for seeing bills through to their conclusion, for announcing the results of a vote, for communication with the Continental Council, and for keeping peace within the Colonial Council. f) Each position shall consist of three seats, equal to three votes, to be used as the member holding the position deems fit, except in the case of the Admius Legistrad who shall have one seat with three votes and the power of breaking any tie. g) Elections shall be held once every four months, except for the Admius Legistrad, which shall be held once every sixth months. h) Campaigns shall begin two weeks before the election begins. Campaigners must present a minifigure and a speech; further propaganda is left to each campaigner’s discretion. i) Council members may resign with two weeks of prior notice. Vacancies shall not be filled until the next election, except in the case of Trade Company positions, or in the case of Admius Legistrad, for whom a replacement shall be found by the remaining members of the Council from one of their number until the end of the term only. No member, after having resigned, may campaign in the following election. 17. Sailda Este, Ferro Azure The latest expansion for Salida Este is the addition of a ship registry office for all incoming ships and their captains. Unless said Captain is Marderian, than the Jail registry will suffice. In case you missed it, the entire building is upside down! (I was bored) Registered as a Small Commerce.
  18. The Golden Apple Chase, Part I : The Ténotclaxcans, Chapter 01 : The Doctor's mission Previously : Felipe de la Manzana is an Eslandian citizen who drove crazy exploring the deep jungle of Nellisa island. This adventure lead him to thought that Apple orchards could be less dangerous than the jungle. He brought his first mate and friend, Basil, to this insane idea and together, they developed orchards and apple industry inside the MAESTRO young trade company. By chance, they encountered a castaway in a Nellisa beach while exploring. The man, named Juan de Hespérida, told them he stole a first half of a map showing the location of a Mythic Golden Apple, which can bring knowledge if eaten. Felipe tryed to follow the map but the coordinates are not clear and it is said that the island where the apple grows is never at the same place on the sea. During such a research expedition, his first vessel, The Appleseed, sunk to the ocean and Felipe was the only one to survive, Juan was lost at sea. Basil was safe, because he did not took part at this trip. He had too much to do with the Natives they encountered in the new island of Berelli : The Ténotclaxcans ! Those natives told the 2 adventurers that they knew some strange stories about apples and about monkeys and turtles too. To make clear of this mix of legend and frighting stories, Felipe asked the help of a Corrington scientist, The Doctor Gellibrand. Now, after being disturbed by some political changes in Eslandola, the 2 men are ready to follow their Quest. Felipe managed to keep safe a copy of Juan de Hespérida map and the doctor settle a crew to live with the Ténotclaxcans. Everything is ready to begin the Golden Apple Chase ! So, I am back to my story full of apples ! I made this little introduction to remind my old builds and to keep it as an intro to the real chase. The quest is really begining here ! The Doctor was quite happy this morning. His preparations have been done and one of his companions, miss Donna was already inside the camp they made along the Ténotclaxcan village. So, the troop he selected was in march and passed through the market of elisabethtown. Pinya lead the march through the busy activity of the morning. The covered market was already full of food supplies and the merchants where already at work ! Then they passed along the houses along the road : some nice commercial slot have been made for some rich Eslandolans. Here there where a cloth seller : And there, a free fortune teller : The Doctor remind the mission to Clara (Who tryed to avoid the pigs passing near her horse) : - Be clear with our mission my dear. We are mainly observer here, we don't have to interfere with the Ténotclaxcans legends ! We must be attentive to their stories and after that we must try to scientifically rely them to something real. We could find the real position of the island Felipe is looking for. It is our top priority ! - Yes, Doctor, I know. I Know this is the first rule of your ethic moral : not to interfere with the natives. You already told me that. And they got out of the buzzing city to join their companion into the jungle of Berelli. This MOC is the Main Market Place of Elisabethtown and was a part of my participation at the Brickmania event in Antwerp. I am letting MAESTRO using this build to be part of the Royal Commerce license they want to buy. it's a 64*64 studs modular build in 4 parts. Thank you for reading ! Here are more pictures of the build istself :
  19. Trador Apple Orchard A settlement isn't a MAESTRO settlement without apple trees So around Trador, a number of small Apple Orchards popped up. This one is taken care of by Gran N.Y. Smith. Ofcourse, due the constant threat of Mardier, a bunch of MAESTRO soldiers are patrolling nearby. --- C&C welcome Will be licenced as a small plantation
  20. Unity Street - Trador Trador is growing fast, very fast, attracting investors and people from every corner in the world. As a result of this, the real estate market is exploding. Luckily, Mme Camille has founded a Real Estate Agency. Together with the Damaximus Family, Real Estate Properties are popping up everywhere in Trador. Where Trador used to be an Inn and a smugglers headquarter, it now has its first street: Unity Street. At Unity Street, a visitor can find the "Trador University - Department of Chemicla Engineering", Mme Bijoux Accessoires and the Real Estate Agency of Mme Camille. Trador University - Department of Chemical Engineering The University of Stedor is as old as the city of Stedor itself, being one of the first universities in the world. Altough the Stedor University still is one of the leading naval universities in Halos, the other branches are passed by the quickly developping Corrington Universities. As one of the main shareholders of MAESTRO (hence the "S" for "Science" in MAESTRO), the University of Stedor hopes the New World is offering new possibilities. One of these possibilities came when MAESTRO Corrington was founded, as the Stedor University can now exchange technologies quicker with the other Corrington Universities. Also Elysabeth of Drondil, one of the leading ladies of MAESTRO, is an honourary member of the Royal Society of Natural Phylosphy. Another opportunity came when Lord Maximilian Damaximus founded Trador. Located in the Prio Seas, it is close by all the newly made discoveries of plants and other flora and fauna. And thus, the University of Stedor opened an University in Trador. Here you see Its department of Chemical Engineering. Some students playing chess: Mme Bijoux Accessoires Mme Bijoux is one of the best friends of Princess Margot of Eslandola. As Lord Maximilian Damaximus and Princess Margot decided to share their time between Stedor and Trador, Margot asked Bijoux to move to Trador as well. She received a property as a gift from Margot where she could practice her hobby of accessoire making. Her jewels are very popular by the higher class of Trador. Mme Camille Real Estate Agency Same story as Mme Bijoux, a close friend of Princess Margot, who moved to Trador as well. Maximilian saw the huge commercial potential in this lady, so he offered her a job as broker. Here you see her selling a house to a fancy dressed man. ---- Thanks for looking, C&C ofcourse welcome! These will be licenced as: Medium Education (the University) Small Artisan (Bijoux) Small Commerce (Camille)
  21. This is my entry for the Mini-Challenge: The Grand Road of Nellisa. "Action on the Road" Somewhere near the Terelli Hills things are going to be heating up very soon. The Corringtonean coach and the Eslandolean coach are facing each other. None of the drivers is willing to give way... the passengers are siding with them. Who will be the first one to steer the coach into the swamp? And what lies ahead? Some people on the side of the road seem to be waiting for their chance... [Build contains 8 minifigs and one monkey] The larger versions of the pictures can be found on flickr C&C welcome! [Number of studs: 48 * 81 = 3888] .
  22. To outsiders it might look like a tense time in Eslandola, what with the attack on the treasure fleet and the war with Mardier, but we also like to party. 23. Outbound from Stedor to Trador is the Puppy Hustler, the only ship bound for the area with space for a passenger. Business must be booming for MAESTRO, since Governor Damaximus purchased the Puppy Hustler from the indebted Captain Tammini Cole, and retained the completely female crew at a competitive salary. The need to move cargo to the new trade port must have been great. For this Dearji the Windsong is grateful, since the Crahaish neh Triuri have charged her with the responsibility of arranging the construction of a shrine to the Triuri on La Sombra. With the plans, and monetary capital, in her gold-colored trunk, Dearji hopes to get a shrine built by the Winter Solstice. This evening Dearji is quite toasted. Blessing the wombs of the whole crew (involves uisge) had her near to giggling fits by the time the captain was to be blessed. Tonight she will sleep well on her bag of rice, down in the hold. "Shzee whaa leee," Dearji slurs the song about male fertility, "G'nooohn baah mmm." --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The small scale LDD model of what the Puppy Hustler is supposed to look like.
  24. With King Fernando gone, everyone was happy in the East Wind Trading Company. Colonel Brickinson found it cool to hang out with the gang and have a celebration This is my entry for the categories II and III: Category II: The Trade Companies’ Reactions Category III: Your Sigfig's Reaction
