    Fire and blood!

28 September 619, Infero Pordejon, Fort San Millar The black flag of the rebels was still waving in the wind, but it was not going to last: the tides had turned. The tides had turned. After a long shelling with the few cannons available, the strong walls of Fort San Millar were finally breached, and the final assault began. The fort, once the pride of the Ashen Guard, had been occupied since the first days of disorders by a cruel group of smugglers: they made huge profits closing the port and profiting on the provisions, even if this caused a terrible famine and made violence explode in the streets. But finally the tides had turned, and the fort represented the last stronghold of the rebel pirates. By sure, the fort was intimidating, with 32 pounders towards the bay, sturdy walls and two of the sides right above vertical cliffs. However, as Tristan had realised studying the maps, the fort had not been projected to withstand a strong assault by land: some of the walls were too low and too exposed to artillery. He doubted that it was an error in the project: since a land attack could start only from Charlatan Bay itself, more probably, the Dark Bishop didn't want to transform the fort in an impregnable fortress for a rebel garrison… whatever the cause, Tristan was more than grateful for that. In that moment, Tristan heard the first musket salvos and the screams of the wounded men. It was time to move. He incited his men, an heterogeneous group of Oleander volunteers and local militiamen, and jumped on his boat. The battle plan was simple but, hopefully, effective: a frontal assault against the lowest wall, followed by a flanking attack from the cliffs, with boats and grappling hooks, to neutralize the cannons before they could be turned towards the parade ground. The hooks were thrown towards the parapet. There was no more time to think now: thirty minutes of fire and blood and everything would have been over, in a way or in the other. Tristan unsheathed the sword and shouted a war cry, followed by his men. That day, if Ares was with them, they would have seen the end of battle for Charlatan Bay. The battle for the external walls: To the breach! A barrel of gunpowder thrown by the defenders: In the parade ground: Counterattack of the defenders: A cannon and ammunitions: A bird's eye view: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fort San Millar was finally assaulted. This is probably my last build for this storyline, but the future of Charlatan Bay is still uncertain, and peace will be frail for a long time, so... who knows? Probably Tristan will leave for the North, the Great Alliance States, the ice and the steppes, for the desert of New Oleon, the woods of Varcoast or the Southern Seas. I hope you enjoyed my builds in this storyline, and the story itself. I did. Again, I have to thank @Kwatchi and @Gulagurag, even if probably they won't read this, for the great storyline of the Dark Bishop and Charlatan Bay. In many cases, my builds retrace theirs (Fort San Millar itself, for example), or things they wrote about the settlement.
  2. Late September 619, Infero Pordejon, a open market in Charlatan Bay Lowtown The Keegan treaty seemed like it had been only yesterday but in reality it had been almost two whole months since Keegans men had joined the ranks. Lowtown had been taken back through many skirmishes. The all that remained had been pushed back to a reinforced line on the road to the Fort. Gustaf's Men now grossly outnumbered Tristan's volunteers and uniforms were commissioned from one of the local skilled tailors. This was done to necessitate a grand boost in moral and to create unity amongst the men as this civil war had been dragging on for the better part of a year now. Other changes could be noticed as well. Over the past week a Platform had been constructed .... The last time a similar platform had been seen in the settlement had been directly following the Dark Bishops reign. This platform was more intimidating though as a Large heavy blade was suspended over a stock. The talk that surrounded its purpose was that heads would roll once the fort was recaptured. It was also constructed in one of the open markets in the center of Lowtown. This was a bold statement as the governmental seat was in Hightown. Gustaf made his presence known in Lowtown with regular patrols with drummer and color guard always in step. Here you can see as Gustaf leads the a platoon past Arnesto the Smithy and the guillotine platform. The markets are also well stocked once again since the supply ships are now fairly regular. Fresh foods and even some preserved can be easily purchased from the Market Stalls. Medicines can be purchased from The Gypsy Woman providing you let her read your Tarot. Even Bru-HaHa is making its way to the settlement again. All that was left was the final push to the Fort. Surely supplies in the Fort were dwindeling as they had been cut off from thier supply ships as Gustaf had managed to beat the rebels to the Bells by sailing around the reach of San Millars' guns instead of the long jungle path through the gorge the rebels had tried. With the control of the Hidden Battery and Hells Bells the rebel smugglers lost many ships until they were snuffed out. Comments and Criticisms welcomed!

    Boardwalk Talk

The infamous Captain Nordau and a representative of the Sea Rat port authorities take a walk on a Garveyan boardwalk in Freeport, and in the process a large bag of DBs and some papers change hands respectively... only time will tell where it all will go from here! But, little do they know, they are not alone - other ears are hearing every word that is said... And a shot of the infamous pirate Captain on the beach: Hello y'all! A little scene to officially inaugurate my Black Flag Captain's agreement with the Sea Rat authorities - the details of which, for the curious, are that which Captain Nordau has bribed bought the future silence of all Sea Rat port authorities (i.e., the location of the Captain's ship(s) won't be published in the KPA when he's in a SR settlement) in exchange for 5000 DBs and a Class 4 ship which he has given to the Sea Rat faction. And yep, we did get the court's approval and all, so all's fair and above board - figuratively speaking, you know Oh, and no, this is not the start of another ETWC monkey story, I just couldn't resist the urge to get at least one monkey in the scene! Was really happy with how the sea background worked out; and it was awesome getting to crack out that light yellow for the beach! Thanks for viewing, C&C are welcome as always!

    [SR-FB] Jokers Folly

She was built to cause havock during the Pilots Association Events. The crew had celebrated brining destruction to the association. Perhaps they celebrated a little too hard ... or was it a little too long? As they awoke from their drunken slumber it seemed as if they had missed the whole event! OoC- I built this for the challenge but life got in the way of getting it to post in time. So Im posting it now. Comments and Criticism welcomed
  5. Dramatis Personae: Previously, Currently, Rassilon? Why are we looking at Rassilon? It looks so peaceful, doesn't it? And they don't even realize... That didn't sound ominous at all. Wait...that thing we built? Don't tell me!!! There it is, up in the sky! We're destroying the Sea Rat settlement of Rassilon? All those people are going to die!!! They're not ALL going to die. Besides, the upkeep costs were getting outrageous. Rassilon had to go. It got too expensive. So we're just going to kill them?!?! DON'T WANT TO CLOSE MY EYES!!! I DON'T WANT TO FALL ASLEEP, 'CAUSE I'D MISS YOU, BABY, AND I DON'T WANNA MISS A THING!!! We're responsible for this! We built that giant fireball! Ahem. Technically, I did. Leave it to the psychobabble student to try to steal credit from the engineer. You admit it! Of course. It's not my best work, but I'm proud of it nonetheless. PROFESSIONAL PRIDE!!! I don't care who built it! We couldn't have evacuated Rassilon first?! And create a refugee crisis? We can't afford that. Why do you think we are doing this in the first place? All those people are going to die and it will be on us! Nah. The people will just think the gods did this. It's not like they can see the fourth wall, let alone anything past it. I can't watch... Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds. HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!
  6. The settlement of Trador seemed to be the next logical step in the Eslodian markets. With its active wineries and current Cider production the network of goods was already set up. Plans had been drawn up and construction was now completed. Workers already had the first few batches run. This was a small factory compared to the other Bru-HaHa facilities with only a single pot which was much smaller. They found they could get 13 barrels per run after heads and tails were cut. Even though this was a small facility it was not by any means less state of the art. underground aging tunnels had been constructed under the streets and most never knew how expansive the tunnels were. This was also the first facility built with large windows low to the ground to encourage the public to view the process. Here a young family peeks in at the mash production The offices here are just large enough to conduct business as the facility is not open for tours. You'll also notice only dry stores are kept. Bru-HaHa belives fresh ingredients make a better bruh Another reason for choosing Trador. The Facility does not feel claustrophobic despite the majority of production being below ground level Another reason in favor of Trador is the constant patrols. Here you can see workers feeling safe beneath the streets in one of the underground storage vaults. However not everyone feels as safe from the patrols. Lets hope that poor inn keeper can calm his spooked horse before he looses his fresh shipment Another view of the facility where you can see the latest batch being completed and another batch being bottled for retail You'll notice the boiler is coal fired as you get a more controlled heat from coal then wood. You might also notice that the large elevated mash pots have direct plumbing to the boiler. Reducing the prep time needed to refill the boiler between batches. --------------- OoC: Comments and Criticism welcomed! This has been a fun build, and once again I am lead to believe that my computer in incapable of rendering over 10,000 bricks lol. I was lucky enough to get two before it began failing. This "small facility" will be licensed as a Large Factory. Also while I would have preferred to tile the mezzanine, the boiler poking through the floor could only be accomplished with the exposed studs as the only plate with the hole does not match up to any current tiles. [SR-FB] Myth Chaser

While in Fatu Hiva Samantha thought she recognized an old friend. So she followed her into the Blue Tassel for a better look Sure enough it was Cathy Derr. She approached her and surprised her. The Gals talked like gals do. They talked about old times then talked about the current. Samantha boasted that she decided to go abroad with her new Husband Darren Kedd, an Eslodian who owned his own trade ship now, and as luck would have it here are many fancy new dresses in the New world. Samantha asked where Rodish was as they were rarely apart. Cathy rolled her eyes and sighed... Stating he's gone off on a folly to go rescue his sister he's never met. Luckily we got the news after the Ball in Kings Harbor not before. Cathy straightened up and smiled though as she proudly proclaimed I am Captain of the Narwhal now though! Cathy explained further that she was preparing to head for a military exercise in Quinnsville, but was going to have to call it off as her crew refused to sail with soldiers packed shoulder to shoulder. She explained how it was really a pity as the Corish government had even sent her special flags to be flown from her masts. Samantha said you won't have to cancel at all, we have ample room aboard my husband's ship the Myth Chaser. After all they may not be neighbors any longer but they are still friends and that's what friends do. Cathy asked if Samantha would have to convince Darren to go along with it. Samantha told her don't worry it's as good as done... Just see if you can get a second set of flags dear! Later that day aboard the Myth Chaser Samantha told Darren of how she ran into her childhood friend Cathy and explained how she was going to cancel her mission but wouldn't have to because the Myth Chaser had plenty of room. At first Daren was shocked at the boldness of his new wife. He then scolded her as this folly would have no profit at all. To which Samantha batted her eyes and pouted her lip and said if you love me then the profit won't matter as long as it makes me happy right... That's what you told me. Darren was over a barrel. She had all the power in the world and he would give her anything to make her happy. Even if it meant getting his ship blasted with paint. He calmly said to Samantha It will give me an excuse to fire the guns and drill sailors, when do we depart darling? https://flic.kr/p/2czfwkr ______________ OoC: this is to explain the second ship raiding Quinsville since the Narwal does not have enough cargo points to transport all the troops @Bregir @LM71Blackbird This will also serve to Licence the new ship check the spoiler for photos Comments and Criticism welcomed Ship photos:
  9. Two nefarious sea Captains were caught in conference in Tortuga recently. Captain Larvey was seen examining letters from a what our source confirmed were signed by "The Phoenix" Larvey was overheard telling the Captain of LaPetunia " Aye if these be true mate we will be needing to procure more vessels" to which the response was "Aye they be true there already be a large fleet sailing south as we speak all on special mission from the Phoenix himself" Ooc: this serves to raise ship limits. 10. Meadow Tickle Tickle (n): a Newfoundland (Canada) term first coined in 1770. It describes i) a narrow salt-water strait, as in the entrance to a harbour or between islands & other land masses, often difficult to navigate due to narrowness, shallowness, tides, etc.; ii) a 'settlement adjoining such a passage. So named as a boat which traverses it may feel a "tickle" on the bottom of their hull. The fishing village of Meadow Tickle was composed of a handful of fisherman families and their huts, their existence on the edge of civilization was a hard one. Named for the explorer who discovered it (Captain Daniel Médaux), During the recent monsoons, two of the local skiffs were lost with all hands, devastating the community and threatening their livelihood. So when a pirate fleet came around the cape and asked to barter for supplies in exchange for hard currency, they jumped at the chance and the little hamlet prospered as never before. This represents a SEA RAT Pirate Hideout. Other pics:
  11. Our Sea Rats built an amazingly fun game for Weelond's Oktoberfest. The rules are quite simple. Drink as much fine bruhaha beverages as you can and a bit more. Then proceed to the rat maze. Once inside the rat maze, collect all the silver coins that you can while avoiding the ghosts. It's game over if the ghost slashes you. It's fun to watch but you don't get rich watching. 13. Willem Guilder, Admius Legistrad of Eslandola’s Colonial Council, could not believe that he was still in King’s Harbour, months after the Grand Ball. Living in a rented manor house, he now found himself working out of a room that had previously been a small chapel. Perhaps he should pray to return home, he mused to himself. Guilder had read through the latest news on the Prio situation. When all this had started a few months ago, it appeared to be a routine case of some pirates making off with the small Prio trade ship Palmetto. But then Prio had retaliated, sinking one of the pirates and capturing another. Bastion then detained two Prio ships in their port, claiming unpaid bar expenses by the crews. And now another Prio ship had been captured, this time the Prince Alex, flagship of the Duchy’s trade fleet. Eslandola naval reports advised traders to avoid the South Prio Sea if at all possible, and prominent Eslandola citizens were throwing fuel on the fire in both directions. As the director of a trade company, Guilder knew this sort of stuff was bad for business. Piracy is always part of the equation when sailing the seas, but an escalation wouldn’t help anyone. And while Lord Prio may have the right to feel aggrieved, he is not without blame and risks a fight that could send his fledgling nation into ruin. Balance needed to be restored. So Guilder sat down at his desk – a table, really – in his makeshift office in this rented manor house on a Corrish island miles from his Eslandolan home, and penned two identical letters: To Lord Alexander Prio, Grand Duke of Isle Romantica and Authorities of the Settlement of Bastion, and the Happy Bastion Barfly Club Dear Sirs, I have watched with much dismay these past months as your disputes at sea have inflamed passions throughout the region. I write to you in the hope that, as a third party outside the particulars of your encounters, I may offer mediation service to restore the Brick Seas to the status quo of some months earlier. As such, here are the details of my proposal: - The Prio ships currently detained in Bastion, the Peacock and Pearl, be allowed to leave port and return home. - The ship Palmetto be recognized as a legal prize, now property of the Sea Rats. - The status of the trade ship Prince Alex, as well as the status of funds owed in Bastion for actions of the Prio crews, be determined in a hearing to be held in a neutral location, judged by a panel of both Sea Rats and others. I offer this as a means of bringing hostilities to an end, while allowing both parties to plead their case and be heard. I anxiously await your replies. Humbly yours, Willem Guilder --- When finished, Guilder summoned one his personal guard into the makeshift office. “Sir?” inquired the Eslandolan swordsman. “I have letters here of the utmost importance. See to it that these go out on the fastest ships available heading to Alexport and Bastion.” “Bastion, sir? I’m not aware of any ships in port headed there.” “Yes, of course, you’re right. Well, then, I’ll have to charter one. Take this letter for Alexport and get it on its way. I’ll make arrangements for the Bastion letter myself.” “Very good, sir,” and the guard was off on his task. As Guilder got up from the desk, he thought to himself, “Maybe I’ll charter myself a ship back to Weelond while I’m at it…” ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ OOC: Leadership and the Sea Rats have agreed to resolve the Prio conflict with a good old-fashioned BoBS Build-Off! We’ll need builders for each side, exact number and subject of the builds still to be determined. Among the issues that will be decided are how much, if any, of the “bar tab” should be paid, and whether the Prince Alex should be awarded to the Sea Rats as a legal prize or returned to Prio. Details for the build-off will be posted as soon as they are finalized.
  14. Dramatis Personae: Previously, https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/160606-sr-fb-the-alois-forever/... A quiet day at the unsuspecting Oleon port... Little do they know that they are about to be attacked...by pirates! Fortunately, not all is lost! The fortress fires its cannons! Or is it cannon? I can never tell when to put an "s" at the end of plural cannon(s). YOU SANK MY BATTLESHIP!!! We're not playing that game! This is BrickseasHammer 1.8K! And what's with these unpainted grey models? I didn't have enough time to finish them before we arrived here...wherever this place is... Ahem...Currently, at The Naval Academy wargame store in Bastion... Who's that? I'm the narrator. No, you're a fake wanna be writer who is too stupid to realize you suck. Er...moving on...Suddenly, Oleon reinforcements show up! Wait! What happened to my turn? You deployed, then I got to move and fire. And now I'm deploying my dreadnought, which can move and attack the turn it arrives. What?! How's that fair?! Here...you can have a yellow cheese slope to represent how cheesy and overpowered this unit is. My dreadnought fires it's flame attack on the nearest sloop. Meanwhile, my Dreadnought's sorceror hero captain casts a time warp spell on the sloop that was already on fire from my fortress attack. There's magic in this game?! And flame attacks?! And...er...the ship that got time warped...that's not a sloop...that's a Goliath class ship of the line with 84 cannon...or is it cannons? I was just using the sloop model. You're using a proxy model?!?! Hey, these models are expensive and I'm just a graduate student! Just be glad I didn't resort to using rocks and pebbles! Anyways, it got time warped and it's your only unit, so you lose a turn. Now, I summon a sea dragon which uses a freeze attack! Of course... And you've lost your last ship. Good game. Whatever. Hold on a second. Based on the previous post, weren't we supposed to be sailing somewhere so you can do some secret thing to win over that idiot, Alois? First, Alois is not an idiot! Second...that's true. I wonder why we stopped at Bastion to play this game? Because I felt like it. Aaaaand that is why you suck as a writer. The MOC for that story is even finished! You uploaded onto Flickr last month! And...er...Harriet, when did you grow a neckbeard? Comments and criticisms are all welcome!

    [SR-FB] Rooms to Let

Just a short way from the docks in Fatu Hiva lays a smallish boarding house that has become a regular haunt for the sailors of the FTA. With comfortable beds, a pleasant host, and fair rates it is no wonder that they choose this boarding house every time they make port. Here a sailor enjoys the peacefulness of his back room. Every room comes complete with horse hair bed, dresser, shelves, and a pot to piss in. (disclaimer: there is not a chamber maid to empty your pot so it is your responsibility) OOC: Since I am away from my bricks for an unknown amount of time I decided I would download LDD and give it a go. After a rather frustrating first couple hours and a few PM's to @Professor Thaum and @Bart (Thanks again for the help fellas) I figured out how to maneuver and manipulate the bricks the way I wanted. This marks my very first build in LDD (not counting the playing around trying to figure it out build lol) Comments and Criticism are greatly Appreciated as I want to improve my LDD skills ... also this is my first use of BlueRender no settings changed from the installed version
  16. One of the more unusal exports from Isla del Diablo is the particularly potent venoms of the island's arachnid population. Of course, obtaining said venoms firstly requires finding the spiders, which means venturing out of Haven and into the dangerous wooded portions of the island. Quite a risk, but the hunter's patrons pay well... ...especially, of course, the House of Spiders.
  17. Even a starting settlement needs an office for the local clergy to oppress rule administrate from. I tried to keep the same feeling of the terrain as with my first build in Poppy Port but with your comments about needing more detailing on the terrain in my mind. The building is a simple wooden construction, with a canvas roof. As the port is still under development, there is no incoming trade yet and building materials are sourced locally. 18. Dramatis Personae: Previously, https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/158702-sr-mrca-welcome-to-the-jungle-part-3/... Currently, somewhere on the high seas... Yes...with The Alois Forever, the most advanced ship in the entire Olean navy, I will finally bring my precious Alois back to the Olean cause...and make him mine. It's just another stupid microbuild! The stupid face who writes these idiotic posts not only can't write, but doesn't seem capable of building a sailing ship at minifig scale! It's not just a microbuild! It's named after my dearest darling Alois, and has 100 points in every stat...it's the most powerful ship in the Olean navy! And wait...what are you doing here? Since nothing interesting happened in the latest Trade MRCA to my stupid advisor and her students, the stupid face pombe jerk wad writer decided to post something about your stupid quest for Alois. And for some moronic reason, he thought adding me to your story would be funny. I can't even explain how I'm in two places at once; I told you his writing sucks. And how is a ship with a 100 points in every stat even allowed in BoBS?! Ha ha! My true naval genius is revealed! I can use ships with whatever stats I wish, so long as I don't license them! Ha ha! You mean the ship is useless since it can't participate in the MRCA. A minor detail. Captain, shall I have her detained and moved to the brig? What?! No, Helmut, leave her be. We'll have her witness my master plan as it unfolds. She'll see when we arrive at our destination. Great. Where are we headed? I can't reveal that, yet. Why not? It's not like a single psychology graduate student is going to overwhelm your ship with 100 Crew points...though the max stats according to the rules is 12. No, it's a separate MOC and will be posted as a separate freebuild to maximize the doubloons we get. You'll see it then. I have no words. To be continued! And additional photos can be found under the spoiler, including how the base for the ship was constructed! Comments and criticisms are all welcome!

Who can freebuild in Poppy Port: Anyone. Description: The first settlement of Sabre-Island, the harbour may be tricky to reach due to rocky formations and reefs near and under the water surface, but a recent hydrographic survey has charted them carefully and has placed two markers to guide ships trough a save passage to the harbour. Geographical Features: Featuring blunt cliffs on several sides, the Hilt (the eastern-most Island in this chain) features a tall, dormant volcano. The Blade (The Westernmost Island) also features a more eroded dormant volcano on the east side, but gradually slides into the waves going west. The archipelago rests in the thick of a coral reef, whose unpredictable depth has already been the grounding of more than one large vessel. The Island itself is fertile and could grow sugar cane quite well. Rumours: A roguish band of ship scavengers has been operating out of "The Hilt", preying on the ships that wreck in the reef. Whether or not this is true remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: Precious little remains of those ships that did ground in the waters surrounding "The Hilt and the Blade"

Bring my gear James! James grunts as a response. Poppy Port - Hydrographic exploring 2 by Bart, on Flickr dr. Anderson: This will do, this will do just fine. James, we will build the first marker, point Alfa, right here! James knowing that ‘we’ meant ‘him’ in those words, was just happy he could’ve catched his breath will the doctor was doing his measurements. Poppy Port - Hydrographic exploring 3 by Bart, on Flickr James: What is this marker Alfa for doctor? dr. Anderson: For us to use as a point zero from where we will make all our measurements. James: Measurements? dr. Anderson: Yes we’ll go out in our boat, and make depth soundings at regular spacing, so we can draw up a map of this new harbour. James knowing that meant rowing, and rowing and more rowing didn’t really look forward to the idea. James: Why do we need a harbour here anyway doctor? dr. Anderson: Oh well there isn’t anybody here that could eavesdrop on us, but our contractor Mrs. Derr thinks there is a money to be made from commodities from this island. And to take those commodities off the island one needs ships, and ships need harbours. Poppy Port - Hydrographic exploring 4 by Bart, on Flickr dr Anderson: James if we put another marker right on this rock here, marker Alfa and this new one… James: Delta, doctor? dr. Anderson: Yes Delta sounds good. Well those two Alfa and Delta will form a line, indication a save passage through the rocks we charted, and ships can use them to enter this Harbour. James: So ‘we’ have to build another marker? dr. Anderson: Excellent idea James, if you can start getting the necessary tools and supplies. I’ll be there in a moment. James: Yeah sure. Poppy Port - Hydrographic exploring 5 by Bart, on Flickr So this is the build I want to start a new settlement ‘Poppy Port’ with, on Sabre Island (Sea Rats-zone 26). But how on earth do I license this? It’s a 48x48 base plate, but half of it is water (aka bare baseplate). Do I license the doctor and James their activities as hydrographic surveyors i.e. artisan or do I license the structures, marker Alfa and Delta as art’s and crafts (as they are the permanent builds) Or do people think this isn’t enough to start a settlement, then I’d like to hear that too. I know I know I could’ve build something easier to license, but I had this idea. And building out my ideas comes before wondering how it fits into the game, sorry. *if people think, why are those markers that big! Well you had to be able to see them from quit a distance, and then measure angles with the sextant to find out your position. I believe them to be accurate in size and appearance, in real life they would have been made of a light wood construction covered with linen painted black.
  21. While sailing to Jameston an altercation had taken place in the open waters between a Sea Rat convoy and a Romantica (Prio) convoy. When the Sea Rat convoy reached port they had a ship in tow repairs being made as they berthed. Captian Larvey of The Drunken Monkey Purchased two slips from the Harbor Master The Log read as follows: Capt. Larvey [SR] The Drunken Monkey [monkey figurehead] 4 days paid Capt. Larvey [SR] The Palmetto [golden figurehead] 4 days paid Later that day the Prio convoy reached Jameston with heavy battle damage. Capitaine La'Douche sought out the authorities. Knowing the Corrish stance on Piracy he hopped to see them all swinging from the gallows before he left port. In the Jameston Constables office: La'Douche: (Bursts though the door) Constable I would like to report a crime! Sergeant: Just what is it you would claim Sir? La'Douche: An act of out and out Piracy! Sergeant: Where did this act take place? La'Douche: East of Trador on way to this Port. La'Douche: Pirates fell upon my ships and over took us ... We barely made it out alive. Then they forced me and my crew into a single long boat and made off with my vessel. Sergeant: They showed quarter? Thats odd th..... La'Douche:(cutting the Sergeant off) Sir I have it on good faith that they have arrived in this very port! What do you intend to do! Sergeant: Its late Im sure they will be good and drunk tonight being first night in port. I will speak with the harbor master tomorrow to see if any ships have made berth fitting your description. La'Douche: I want them hanged! Sergeant: If the description matches and you can identify them then I will Arrest them and im sure they will be found guilty in court. If it is how you say. Even later that night: Hearing a little bird whisper in his ear that the Corrish Authorities planned to seize his ships and Imprison him and his crew. Also knowing Corringtons' reputation for hanging Pirates even if there was no more evidence other than here say . . . Capitan Larvey decided they had out lived their welcome in Jameston. Back at the docks: Capitan Larvey: Machete me boy! Machete: Aye Capitan? Larvey: We sail at first light, have the dry stores and rations secure and stowed! We need ALL ships in the fleet ready to make way. Machete: Aye Sir but why we just made port tis morn? Larvey: The Prio Capitan is claiming we attacked them ... Machete: (interrupting) Tis a LIE Sir out and out fallacy! Larvey: Aye be that as it may, it matters none, they intend to seize our ships and lock us all up. Machete: We can fight this Sir they were the aggressors sailing right through or floatila with no regard ... You were right to fire that warning shot. Larvey: Aye but how do we prove they opened fire and we simply responded ... Nay they see us as pirates ... And I be quite fond of me neck remaining unbroken! We sail at first light, those to drunk to sail will be left behind. Those too drunk to fulfill his duties will be thrown over. I need me crews hearty me boy we have Four ships to sneak out of here. Machete: Aye Sir I'll pass the word around to snuff the rum early. Larvey: Aye make it so. The Sea Rat crews worked feverishly through the night and by the time first light broke the Sea Rat fleet was twelve miles out singing "What will we do with a drunken sailor what will we do ..." Meanwhile back in town: Capitaine La'Douche met up with the Sergeant first thing accompanied and him and two privates to the Docks. La'Douche: Harbormaster! Have you had any ships that fit the description of a C2 with a monkey figurehead towing a C3 with a golden idol figurehead with a broken mast? Harbormaster: (reading log) ahh yes here they are a Capitan Larvey paid four days up front ... slip nine and ten ... Right this way La'Douche: These slips are empty! Harbormaster: I swear they were here when I made rounds last night ... (looking at log) slips nine and ten ... Sergeant: Harbormaster if you aided these pirates in any way I'll see you hang. 1st private: (to second private) so we don't get to arrest anyone? Sergeant: Not today boys ... Not today. ------- Just a little story to explain how the Palmetto came to be in my possession ... Special thanks to @kaiju, @Ayrlego,and @Bregir for allowing this story to happen. Comments are more than welcome ... I'm sorry for some of the pictures being fuzzy that's my poor quality mobile.

    [SR] FTA Redtail

The boys at the Saltyshipworks have been at it again this time building for the FTA. Gustaf ran tight on the deadline and came up short on paint ... So she was christened the FTA Redtail. Haymish McGillicuddy was keen on taking command of this vessel bringing along his eldest son Ezera as first mate ... Don't mind helmsman Wentz photo bombing Custom Duck was fitted to ensure she would keep up with the fleet The deck may seem crowded but her hold is plenty spacious for valuable cargo This will be licenced as a class 2
  25. After passing a very rough Sea of Storms, Rodsh found him self in Bastion. His crew is off to enjoy the town, Cathy is out to get provision for the ship. But Rodsh himself travelled to the outskirts of town just a little up the Lifeflow river where he finds the Shipwright Brothers. Masters in building small boats, sloops, launches, and even the odd canoe, you tell them what you want and they’ll build it. Rodsh is there to order new boats for his ship, as he lost two on his travels, and the other one is beyond repair, or as the boatswain said it, “a rotten death trap”. They recently hired a new apprentice, who today is trying steam bending planks for the first time. He’s quick to find out why they gave him those pliers to hold the plank.
