First: a personal note to explain why this MOC exists: This film was my early childhood: Twister (1996) was a film I watched everyday from age 3 to age ~6, and I could quote the entire film by heart by age 5, as attested by my parents on multiple occasions. Twister fell by the wayside once Thomas and the Magic Railroad was released to home video in 2001 or so.... which is probably a more kid-friendly than Twister is! I still love this film, and wanted to make my own model of one of the vehicles from the movie for many years. Thus, the first time I set eyes on the red truck from LEGO Ideas set 21354 The Cullen House, I wanted to make it into the yellow truck from the Twister - and now, eight months after the set was released, I have! I modified it to have the lightbar and bracing of the Jeep Honcho from the film, and of course the Dorothy 1 probe was also a must. The bed of the truck has also been heavily modified from the original set to better model the actual truck from the film. The rear of the truck with Dorothy 1 unloaded and ready for deployment. NOTE: Dorothy's design comes from this Rebrickable MOC's version of the probe. Thoughts? -
Do you remember when Mega Bloks had a Universal license from five years ago? They've released the station wagon from 'Minions' back in 2015. I recreated this using actual LEGO! Soon after I've got my 42100, I decided to use it for making something epic and funny. So, after a month of work I've made this "movie" which tells a story about the last battle between old and new. Don't take it too serious, just have fun! P.S. Moral of the story is that the winner hasn't won at all. Cos' all the fallen gained an ability to be revived into different models and live forever, but the winner will stay useless and untouched. :) -

My Tribute to Pink Floyd and Gerald Scarfe. This work is based on a still picture of the movie "PINK FLOYD THE WALL" in which Pink, the chief character, was under huge pressure and found no way but to scream from a wall -- a desperate hope to escape from totalitarianism. This movie is my classic; it has great impact on my visual and music aesthetics. Detroit, the near future... yeah well, not really, actually - it's 1987 and one of the best movies ever was released: Robocop! The future of law enforcement. Part man, part machine, all cop. This is my attempt to recreate one of my most beloved movie characters and I tried to add as much accuracy, details and features as I could. Robo stands approximately 24cm/9.5inches tall and features about 25+ points of articulation for simple recreation of memorable poses from the movies. He comes with lots of accessories, many of which can be stored inside his leg holsters (...yes, he includes an opening leg holster, one each leg! A must!!): His regular gun, the Auto-9, which can be "upgraded" with the iconic triple fire effect, the data spike (not retractable, sorry), also interchangeable heads with/without helmet (the helmeted version is designed so you can use just the top half to recreate the "take off helmet without chin guard" scene) and I also included his flamethrower arm (but not his jetpack... yet...?). The whole build turned out to be surprisingly solid, highly poseable with great playability. Hope you enjoy this as much as I do. "Into the Wild" Snowy Magic Bus A few months ago I built the most iconic scene from the movie “Into the Wild”, directed by Sean Penn in 2007, with the Magic Bus standing in plain sight in the wild Alaskan woods. It was early spring. With the cold season coming it was taken for granted I'd be tempted to build the snow capped Bus as it appears in some scenes of the movie. The sand green/white Bus stands on a big snowy base now built with many weird parts to create the snow-covered foliage effect. White pines are placed behind it. Chris McCandless's story is well known and sadly it didn't end well. And the Bus itself, seen as a danger, has been recently airlifted from the Alaskan wild to a secure site after two hikers have died and at least 15 have had to be rescued while trying to reach the bus in the remote Alaskan wilderness. Abandoned on the Stampede Trail near Denali National Park, the bus had become a pilgrimage site. It was revered by travelers around the world who had read the book or seen the movie. But it had also become a hazard, luring hikers into forbidding territory. Here my first version of the Into the Wild diorama with more info about the story of Chris. Once again I dug up something from the 80s... and once again it's something related to a movie police character called "Murphy" - Frank Murphy this time, to be precise. But although this Lego version of the Blue Thunder helicopter is in minifig scale unfortunately for Frank I wasn't able to incorporate functional cockpit doors... sorry Frank, you're stuck in there for all eternity! I hope you like my take on the iconic Blue Thunder from the 1983 movie. If you like it and you're up for a bit of a challenge you can find the free instructions here & some more pics here.
