Emma went shopping for Halloween decorations when she came across the perfect handbag, the Coveted Pumpkin. I was looking for an older photo when I came across the Coveted Crypt, which was done for a theme month on Eurobricks some time ago. This gave me the idea to do one for Halloween and change my avatar - just for October.

Halloween is round the corner. Seasonal sets are always widely received, regardless of whether you celebrate it or not. This is the first seasonal vignette released in Singapore. As such, queues were long and stocks always ran out within 2 hours of restocking. Vignettes seem to be more popular than the brick built animal seasonal sets, like the 40090 Halloween Bat. Interesting point to note, all of the seasonal vignettes do not introduce new colours for existing moulds, or new prints for minifigures. Nevertheless, they always include semi rare parts, like the olive green stems as well as offer great re- use of minifig parts, like this pirate torso. As a young AFOL, I couldn't bring myself to lug LEGO boxes to college, even for a short 1 hour. I enjoyed the various role play scenes on the back of the box. The lack of a theme logo like "Limited edition 2015" may suggest it may make a comeback next year. Purely my own speculation. After all, sets like Birthday Table Decoration had an extremely short shelf life, but on S@H, it says it is in production. Last year's halloween bat made a comeback this year, in my local stores. Front: Back: Random page of instructions: Here are the sealed bags. Eyes lit up upon earth green plates.. haven't had those in my collection since Winter Village Post Office.. Everything laid out. This is quite therapeutic. Some parts of interest My first 65 2 x 1 x 2 slope. Surprise find was the dark orange brick with stud on side. Didn't think they'll include that colour in a halloween theme set.. The olive green stem is solid, for those who didn't know. Had always thought they were rubbery. One of those nice elements you can't help but wish they included more. Finished build. The roof looks smoother than expected, but the tip is a bit off. The centre should have had another 1 x 2 plate before putting the double slope. But what's LEGO for, if you don't customise things. The transparent brick and plates were used nicely. This is a good time I seen it being used, other than stained glass windows. *cough* Pet Shop *cough* I love the miniature pumpkins. Always nice to have plain minifig heads. Small tree build is beautiful. 4 x 3 leaves simple and elegantly placed. If they had the bigger leaves instead, it would look out of proportion. Spare parts. They gave extra bones. Pleasant surprise. After all, this is my first skeleton since 1997.. "Trick or treat" Old and new skeleton..from 1997 Witch's Magic Manor. I like the new torso mould. Now the arms are posable. The old hands were great for play though. Used to connect 2 arms together and treat him like a gorilla, since they swing freely. Now I just take pictures. Size comparison The height seems to be standardised for vignettes. Around 8 studs tall. Personal thoughts: At first I had no intention of getting the halloween or thanksgiving sets. Only wanted the 2 christmas ones. However after looking through the parts list.. price per part was pretty good, and I needed something small to practice for Reviewer's Academy. Previous submission hasn't been graded, so I posted this here. I love the colour combination of purple and black as the primary colours. Much better than orange and black, which tends to be overused around this season. As a town builder, this is a great set for inspiration on how to beautify your door fronts. Summary Review: Playability: 7/10 (Lots of knock knock jokes) Design: 7/10 (Roof is a little off, but transparent colours used to great effect) Parts: 8/10 (They were great, but none exclusive, and no printed tiles) Minifigures: 8/10 (Detailed back printing, no dual face print, but nice hat) Price: 8/10 (Great price per part, not the best. But the best always comes in big sets..) Overall: 8/10 (A solid affordable set)

MUAHAHA! It's the spookiest time of the year, and time to show you my new LDD creation! And it's a halloween themed MOC, no less, so, without any further ado, let's take a stroll through the Saint Modular's Cemetary... This place is modular, but not Detective Office, or Parisian Restaurant Modular, but instead, every grave with it's parcel (and inhabitant ), is a module on it's own, connected via technic pins, so is the fencing and the gate. Now, St Modular's seems to be a quiet, somber place of rest for departed minifigs, but... On Halloween Night, right after clock strikes midnight, all hell breaks loose, and the graveyard gets haunted by popculture references, THE HORROR! When the night falls, and the full moon shines in all it's glory, the sky get's littered with all things paranormal. Ghosts racing through the night, flying saucers are here in search of inteligent life forms (good luck with that... ), and werewolf calls his pack on a hunt. Also, It beats me how a cursed sarcophagus with it's wrapped up owner got it's way here from Egypt, but whatever! Here we have, straight outta Sleepy Hollow, the Headless Horseman, and his trusty steed, rearing triumphally. But who's that mysterious fellow in black clothes and mask that every self proclaimed computer hacker seems to wear nowadays? Yup, It's Agent Smith Elrond V! And what does V stands for? Very cool MOC, obviously. And Vendetta. Moving on! There's a little Dance party here, with King of Pop Himself, immortalized as a minifig. Chucky, put down that knife, you sexy doll you, just look at that charming smile... Also, Slenderman's here. And a generic evil Mecha, don't mind him, he's aquiring his target, ahem, I mean having a good time... One, two, Freddy's coming for you... Nah, he's just hiding behind the grave, sneaky bastard... Right at the front Cthulhu would like to have a swim, but Sadako/Samara won't let him in her well... What a Halloween MOC would be without vampires? Unfortunately, Dracula, Count Orlok, Lestat and Count von Count couldn't come to the party, so we had to bring this guy, Edward Cullen. Darth Vader was so annoyed that he force-choked mr. Sparkly McStupidface. Damn, Pattison sure has tough luck, when it comes to dying at a graveyard, first You-Know-Who, and now another dark lord have killed him... But Wait, What's that green gooey stuff under the crypt's wall? Oh, these are just Xenomorph Eggs, But what is it? A young Yautja Warrior is trying to lay his hands on them... Watch out Hunter, there's an Alien queen, ready to defend her offspring, or rather incubating facehuggers... Despite this all happening, a plucky gravedigger on his nightshift seems to be not aware of the paranormal activity in his workplace. Well, you can see in his face he has some HAUNTING suspicion, that something EERIE is going on, but that was only autumn wind HOWLING, and giving him the CREEPS. Ok, I'll stop here this pun is so DREADful, it's SCARY... And, that's quite it, soon I'll upload the .lxf so you can dl it and admire it in it's whole glory. Happy Halloween Everybody! There's some time left until Halloween, but the Pumpkin Diner is open all year round. So, if you want to eat somewhere special in Heartlake City, this is your place to go. Of course, the atmosphere is best around Halloween when they decorate the diner a bit spookier than normal and their famous Halloween parties take place. Take a look at some of the costumes at this year's party: The roof and the front of the building are separately removable for better access and there are 5 light bricks which can be switched on at the back of the diner. It was built for the FriendsBricks Halloween Building Challenge. I hope you like it. C&C welcome.

Telling Stories to an old Friend You might be gone,sleeping in the Dark. Enjoyed reading in a Park, Now i`m ready to be brave, and sit next to you by your Grave. This is my very first Halloween themed MOC and it tells a sad and creepy Story but also features over the top Halloween Aesthetics. You can see Spooky Boy and a well known Teddybear sitting next to a Grave. To add a bit more to the overall creepy Scene i placed some Minifig Legs below the Surface where they are eerily enlighted by a Lightbrick. Happy Halloween everyone,stay spooky.

It is Halloween Night my dear Friends and even Super Heroes need some Fun Activities once in a while. After Spiderman and Doctor Strange teamed up to defeat an Invasion of Monsters from another Realm, Spiderman decided it`s Time to get into the right Spirit of his second favorite Holiday Season. Some of is Super Hero Friends came over (well,only Kid Spider Miles Moralis,the Sorcerer Supreme and the Allmighty Thor) and they had a Fun Time going around the Neighborhood :D Spidey really likes his Costume,sadly Eyepatches were sold out....and Nick Fury refused to borrow one. Happy Halloween everyone,stay spooky.

A ghost you say, a ghost maybe. She was just like a ghost to me … Ok, alright, I will stop quoting from Les Mis, but somehow this line fits both my activity here on EB AND my latest MOC. So it’s time to take a break from taking a break, this is what I’ve created to celebrate this year’s Halloween … *** "I trust that you will treat this information strictly confidential. Find that … thing. But keep me out of your business." *** The idea was to create a less spooky scene for the occasion, as it doesn’t feature a visible ghost or monster. But ... only because you can't see a phantom it doesn't mean that it's not out there, right? And if there's somethin' strange in your neighborhood – who ya gonna call? Right, back then, with motion pictures and the Ghostbusters not even invented, you would need a real monster hunter. And certainly not everyone is fond of such a man or his business and he or she would rather not be connected to his activities in public as he (or she) could easily lose his reputation … It is told that the following scene took place many years ago, on a cold and misty evening in October, in the small town of Brick's Hollow, somewhere in the North East of Legoland. Location: C09 - Orinshi Tags: Science, Building r Log #006 – 31 Oktobrinali 3816 Because of my lack of activity within Kawashita, I'm doing simple chores for other people on our home planet Orinshi. At least I can keep wearing my pilot costume which I take pride in. The other day, on halloween, I had to get a ladder for the hallway janitor, from a doctor who experiments with alien lifeforms. I thought It was illegal to do that to other sentient beings. I don't want to think If alien lifeforms will experiment on us. And I don't like seeing open flesh wounds and organs... So, with much hestitation, I went in and see the doctor for borrowing his ladder. The man greeted me with a warm sounding welcome with a thick German accent. His name is Jakob and when I asked him If I can borrow his ladder for the janitor in this hallway, he started to laugh out loud. "Jakob's ladder!" he reexclaimed twice. I had no idea what's so funny, but maybe It's a German thing. But I may borrow 'his' ladder ofcourse. When facing the ladder, I saw all the things I ignored or blocked out of my field besides Jakob: A huge monitor screen with nothing but bloody organs, wings getting dissected, alien bugs in jars, a huge eyeball staring at me. I grabbed the ladder anyhow without thanking and greeting Jakob and fell unconsious with the ladder on the hallway. More information and pictures under the spoiler tag: EDIT: English can be hard.

With Halloween rapidly approaching, I thought I'd share the scariest minifigures ever! Most of these are MOCs, but one, the mutant Dr O'Neil, was as sold in the TMNT range. How TLG thought such a creepy minifigure was suitable for kids is a mystery. Anyway, here are my contenders for the freakiest minifigures of all time: Don't think they're that scary? Here on Eurobricks we love to give our members cool prizes and we've got a treat for you. Two LEGO Dimensions character packs are up for grabs! Treehouse of Horror is now a Halloween tradition, so it fits the season! What I want to see is some Spooky Simpsons builds. We can see the folks of Springfield enjoying the festivities, representation of our favourite alien visitors or some creation of favourite tales from the treehouse. All you need to do is follow these simple rules: You need to be a member of Eurobricks who joined before the 20th October 2016.. This is a fun thing, so have FUN! The MOC needs to have at least two (2) original Lego pieces in it, NO clone ones. You can build either with real parts or use LDD, MLCad etc. The MOC needs to be new - no recycling here please - just fresh stuff. The entry must be posted in this thread before 10 pm GMT, by the 4th of November, 2016. Your entry must include one image (and only one image) and be no larger than 800x600. One entry per qualified member. All members including the Staff can join, all but me that is Two random qualifying builds will be drawn after entry closes and the creators will win the prize! So get building and have fun.

HALLOWEEN IS AROUND THE CORNER... AND YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS? SPOOKY FUN FOR EVERYONE!!! Over the years I have taken my time to diligently archive many of the LEGO Halloween & Monster sets ever released. I have also made 2 videos: one outlining the history of Halloween sets released by TLC and another counting down the top 10 creepiest, spookiest, scariest, sets. Both videos come with bonus content. Using the same bricks stuck in my wall as last year's Christmas stocking hangers, I put up some spooky decorations this year. Literally, spooky: I wanted to do something fun to decorate the entryway near our stairs that was simple, but also sturdy and flat (people have to walk up and down these stairs, you know). My family got to help out which also made it fun. Happy Halloween! Edit: here's another of decorations for the summer (2016, actually) that I just realized I never posted. I know I have individuals of each letter somewhere, but I've switched phones since then and things got backed up to different accounts. If I can find them, I'll pull this and put them in their own thread. I also did some flowers for spring, but I have no idea where those ended up (a pity, they were really good IMO). (S: barbecue, U: picnic w/skunk, M: camping, M: r&r, E: diving, R: windsurfing)
