Hello Eurobricks. First time in the technic forum so go easy on me, this is a bit tricky to explain. I am building a large screen which uses the same mechanism (treads with plates/tiles attached rotating around) from the Nintendo Entertainment System set, #71374. Mine is on a bigger scale but otherwise I copied the instructions very closely. I should note I don't own the set so I can only see it online for reference. After getting most of the mechanism in place and testing it I noticed the panels (tiles and plates which move along the treads) tend to wobble, as in they shift slightly up and down. I can't see any obvious reason for this but I am guessing the larger scale means the treads lose some tension over distance. Anyway, I figured instead of sulking I might actually flip the whole mechanism 90 degrees so the screen would now flow up and down, like credits after a movie. But that leaves me without a guide to follow, so that is why I am here. Has anyone used this mechanism flipped 90 degrees? I don't really know how to search for models featuring it. I am low on the pieces required, so it would involve dismantling my current setup in order to test the new one. If anyone knows what I am talking about (good luck) and has any suggestions/advice (I don't have any photos as this project was meant to be kept secret as long as possible) please post something, anything. Thank you.
