  1. So desktop or laptop then? How convenient could that be.Correct me if I'm wrong, when two devices are paired over BT one of them is "dumb" and other is "smart". Take Sbrick as an example, being dumb it has to have a smart device to be able to control it - like tables or smartphone. I cannot see how anything like Xbox controller could be "smart" in such case. Would be glad if it is otherwise. I suppose we derailed a bit with this RF/RC/BT conversation, but oh well, we are still speculating.
  2. We are speaking about physical feedback here - the feel you get by pushing a button. There is zero touch feedback when sliding your finger over smooth surface.
  3. That's very nice! Looking forward to see final implementation. Can you share which controller did you actually bought on DX?
  4. I find this idea very interesting. It was good that example with 42042 was mentioned so that it makes some things clear to me. Especially why certain choices are made. However I'm more interested in investigating the rest of the dots in your graphs. Do you mind sharing the data? Or at least graphs with all dots labelled?
  5. How about simple antenna?
  6. Current system uses IR, which isn't built into phone or tablet and didn't make any problems. So what don't we have same but better, but RF based system? The main and important advantage (or BT disadvantage) is that you can use a "dumb" controller, so you feel the control and have a feedback. Some might say it is not customizable - you can check the internet for types of controller setups created for using IR system. Interactive systems (which would be used in case of BT implementation) are great also. They are cheap and highly customizable, yet they have limited life span and can become obsolete pretty quick. Like Lego RC system was introduced 14 years ago. I can still use my dedicated controller and it just works. There were no iPhones or even IPads at that time. Technology moves very quick by introducing and decommissioning standards quite often. Remember Windows 98. LEGO used to rely on this, and while LEGO hardware still works you can barely use it nowadays. What's OK now, might not be in next 5 years, while dedicated controller will still continue to, simply, do what he was designed to do.
  7. That's kind of impressive...3 MOC/alternates in one go! Thanks for suspension pics, I was looking to ask for the same. I have a question about it actually, as it is not very clear for me. It seems like you have just two CV joints in your front suspension setup. How does it articulate? It looks to be a sort of rigid axle with double wishbone arms?
  8. Sadly I don't have file to share. The only thing I could help you with is to share a Chinese webpage - http://nxtmarket.info/item/20983867487 - which states they have it for sale. You might give a try... Hope this helps.
  9. I think it depends on the amount you paid for. As an example, here in Lithuania, there is certain threshold for imported goods. And you are not not being taxed if you didn't reach it. When imported good costs more than that you would be taxed in full. This is the reason, why buyers ask sellers to state parcel as a "Gift" or state reduced amount of money. Might be similar in NL.
  10. Cylinder Hemisphere 11 x 11, Studs on Top with Marbled Dark Green Pattern from 9677
  11. Well, there are faster models, but they didn't use the LiPo batteries - official set like 8675 mentioned earlier. If you don't see this as a competitor while being actually faster, then you can check Sariel's models. He made a 15+km/h model (which is a piece of engineering like you like more). Both would be faster no matter if LiPo batteries were used or not, it is an easy switch.
  12. Don't get me wrong, I really like your model, you managed to include all of these components in a great format with cool looking shape. And the model, I imagine, is very fun to drive. You probably not aware which set type I was referring to. While being ~2.5Kg heavy it still can run up to 20km/h. There's no issues with drifting, making donuts on smooth or dirty surface and jumping over the ramp. It can even do sort of a wheelie if driven on a surface like carpet (with good friction/contact). So what do I need to break the "Fastest lipo racer" title - simply buy a LiPo battery and use it with model above? The title just doesn't make sense.
  13. At this moment I don't see why its price is 300EUR, especially if there's no RC for propulsion.
  14. Bricklink. Don't think there is this one and only shop that would suit all. I can suggest making your own wanted list and then have a look which store has most of the pieces you need.
  15. Starting to buy first will get you a good understanding how stuff works on BL and what are expectations. You would easily get number of positive feedback and you can start selling your stuff.
  16. Yeah, you won't need to change much to get another generation of 911
  17. That's black panel #21 Edit. Damn, was a bit slow, too many people today!
  18. Great skills stuffing so much in this size and the shape looks great! Also I'm a bit sceptical about all of these fastest MOCs. Any MOC based on chassis of 8369 would outrun being considerably larger.
  19. So, no PF 2.0 in this model? XL model looks to be the same as the one available now.
  20. Doesn't seem to be very existing to me but looks better than any 1H set. And the tyres are great - new types and sizes are always welcome. And Red 6L dishes are back! Those are enormously expensive right now
  21. I wonder if number of pins will still be higher than number of panels in this model?
  22. I like several new parts already mentioned (especially the wheels) in this thread and wish for set to remain in Black. It would be just better to have new parts in common colour rather than sticking to "never-going-to-be-used-in-Technic-again" colour. Find the ground clearance is pretty low - no suspension?
  23. The size of this MOC doesn't look too big until you notice Unimog tyres on it. That's huge and looks great! I was a bit disappointed model didn't have at least steering, but with 14Kg weight I understand why. Update. I have also checked pics on Flickr - interior details to pretty much everything are just stunning!
  24. Sorry, my bad - everything just worked fine! Just forgot I subscribed to daily digest rather than immediate emails.
