This is a project that I've been working on for the past few years. I worked really hard the last few weeks to get it to a point where the first version can now finally be released before I move to new challenges. The point of this free document is help show people who are new to the modern Technic system and want to learn about the basic elements, mechanism, systems and techniques. Indeed, the axles are rounded and there's also another important fact. All LEGO parts are usually 0,1 mm thinner from (almost - doesn't apply for height for studded parts) every direction from the ideal 8 mm grid raster. That means a normal pin is around 15,8 mm long. Same applies for beams which are actually even thinner from top to bottom dimension in order to be compatible with studded plates - especially the LEGO logo.

I remember Zoli on Brickshelf making some huge supercar transporters, but I can't find them right now due to issue with accessing Brickshelf.

I checked in LDD, 2903 is slightly too big.

Amazing idea, implementation of the actuators and of course great jov with the X-Wing with the limited parts. It's great to see some non-vehicle models and this is such an original idea, I just had to feature it.

I am greateful this forum is still alive and kicking even in these crazy times. And I really think we need to appreciate good things like this community, since it's too easy to lose them.

You can have half the engine driven by one side and the other half by other side. Don't think anyone would notice

Look at the side view, you can see red shocks.

Looks good, the only thing i'd change is to use small red panels for the door and a sticker for a cleaner look.

Also notice a new type of bushes/wheels on the bottom of the engine.

Very interesting and original idea. I also agree that the release mechanism would fit more the GBC theme if it was mechanical.

At least use the spur version of the 12 tooth gear.

Just watched the movie yesterday, so I can safely say that your models came out great! Such a simple deisgn using rods, but it comes out really good!
