It is easy. Just subtract the weight of instructions and a box which you'll find on BL as well. Like 10218 set (parts) would weight: 2820-298-450=2072g approximately.

Do you even have "trial and error" phase? As it looks to me like any step you make is 100% logical and correct. -

Yes, this was spotted earlier. I suspect there are two versions: either model has 1 stud suspension travel or it has been screwed to base (pushed down) leaving 1 stud of clearance. -

Following trend is not always a good thing, due its temporary behaviour. Technic already had Purple and Dark Turquoise in its range in late 90's. And I cannot really remember Technic MOCs using them as a major accent in past couple of years. Not sure why there is so hype about the colour now. -

Did I miss something? Which is set is going to be?You seem to know something we don't. Would you be so kind to hint? Is it related to a Beetle-like sportcar?- 5,509 replies

Purple? How many supercars you can build with that colour? -
How would you know a set is complete when buying second hand?
zux replied to wgemini's topic in General LEGO Discussion
It depends on a seller, yes. Some are very honest with set condition and there are no issues buying set not even seeing it (via mail). Normally, when seller says set is "complete" I check pics for expensive parts. If they are in place - there's mostly nothing to worry about. Once received I find there are always few pieces missing/incorrect/damaged. Which is fine. -

Hmmm, what if price is high due to two bodies/versions (civil and racing) being included? That would give us two colours. -

Until Arocs set released last year all licensed logos have been a sticker. The reason Arocs had printed part simply because shield piece used for logo is not flat and sticker would look horrible. I don't think tradition would break with Porsche. -

Guys, looks like LennyRhys is not following this topic, so you might want to check conditions on his trading post here and contact him over PM. Pst, just 4 more meaningful posts -

I see no reason for printing on widely available parts, that would be nice. But printing on new parts or parts in new colours - no, thank you. -

Actually stickers look very nice on this model. This is unique for LEGO so some of us really like it. I just imagine the size of sticker book sheets would be massive. -

Having suspension would also help distributing weight evenly. -
How would you know a set is complete when buying second hand?

Checking against inventory on Bricklink is pretty accurate. Some instructions have list of parts in the back. This also can be used to confirm the completeness. -

Tell me about it. Would you be pressing studs or use some magic asking Sbrick to initiate a BT connection? I doubt it, as it has no buttons or other ways of interaction rather than controlling motors.I remember Sbrick team mentioning possibility of using HW joystick. Sadly, this was so uncertain it is on the very bottom of "to do" list I assume. Joystick itself is a "dumb" device as well, you cannot assign it to control specific Sbrick or define which buttons control each output. There should be a "smart" device, that you can actually use to setup the connectivity and joystick button/function assignment. However you can use also dumb+smart+dumb chain of devices, like Sbrick+Smartphone/Tablet/laptop/desktop/other+joystick which imurvai is looking to implement. Technically you could use joystick to control your Sbrick in such setup, with disadvantage that you are still dependent on "smart" device and its battery/portability. -
