4 XL-motors for 1.6Kg of LEGO sure give an excellent performance! Don't like the looks of the original model, but you have made a good effort shaping your MOC.

So, how many motors this? -
Camera, for example, is required to enable barcode scanning feature. You might wish to ask about Wifi connection information on Rebrickable forum.

[Software] LDCad - LDraw cad

Robert, appreciate your quick response! Thanks for advise, I was able to dock those windows back. On another note, I wonder if it is known how large is the number of Linux users? -
[Software] LDCad - LDraw cad
zux replied to legolijntje's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Hi there, I'm new to digital building. After reading over various topics over internet, installation, configuration and tweaking I have LDCad working fine (with bunch of other software) on my Linux OS machine. I seem to have installed the latest beta version which is running fine and helps me to progress. However I managed to break single feature on first launch and unable to get it back - both Color and Part bins are detached (and randomly placed on next launch) and I didn't find a way to attach them back. One of the YouTube videos posted in this thread shows it is easily fixed on Windows machine. However nothing even close happens in Linux. Switching "Locked docked windows" between Yes and No gives no result. I wonder if this is a bug or there is way to fix it? -

I like my sets complete, so I end up buying all the extra parts for previously purchased used sets. -

I do a lot of stuff you guys mentioned. Somewhat similar, I tend to align visible text on any trans pieces so that you could read text.Oh and last trend is when liftarm has a sprue point visible I'm looking to reverse the part to hide it. -

Nice one again! Will you be creating an entry on Rebrickable? So we could see a complete part list. -
So it would then be just easier to create B-model first and build A-model with all the extra parts you need.
-
Trouble is that you may find you need to use certain piece in B model that wasn't part of A model. And it would be easy to find a place for that extra piece in A model initially. However since A model will be gone at a time of designing B model it will be an issue. Do you get what I mean?

Nice progress so far! Looking at your pictures it turns out 10000 cubic studs is not so big volume after all -
