  1. I started to follow a single topic some time ago. There was new post today however I received no notifications. Checked "spam" folder as well, still no sign. My email domain is not one of the those listed above that known to have issues.
  2. Looks wonderful I would love to see front suspension pics as well.
  3. Design looks very clever, I like. However I doubt it would be very useful in long term - dust would kill plastic covers and ball bearing pretty quick.
  4. According to LEGO Service number is 00800 5346 5555 for Ireland.
  5. Maybe it would be better to share *.zip archive instead of *.exe file, which normally posse a high risk when downloading from Internet.
  6. 2 motors more than 42043 for extra 100EUR? If it's Ultimate car I would hope for new great parts, bigger than normal size, and also good use of PF stuff.
  7. Maybe you just don't know how to cook use LDraw? :)
  8. I would add "If Porsche - any other than 911 would be preferable".
  9. Rigid and ribbed hoses don't have LEGO mark.
  10. Damn, a boring 911 I appreciate the engineering behind the body it, but the looks are simply boring. The only hope is it having advanced LEGO engineering as well!
  11. Oh I'm confused, if this rumour of "IP car" being an oversized car from last year's IP range is true. The list is quite short and not really sure which model would deserve the "Ultimate Technic set" name. Although F40 has been released in Creator line, I would most likely love to see this one as Ultimate more than any else of 2015th models.
  12. What about Caterham Super Seven? It is a Creator like MOC and is currently under review on LEGO Ideas. Acquiring license wouldn't stop from building a Technic model too. Car seems to be proved cool and existing over the years, sort of not ageing classic.
  13. I'm not aware of this possibility. You might want to ask this question in more appropriate subforum - LEGO Digital Designer and other digital tools .
  14. Well, solution seems to be pretty straightforward - select other time zone, which shows correct time and don't care about it.
  15. 48171 is intended to work with 47455. It could be there are more compatible parts working with 47455. For 41680 two 41679 are needed. 41681 is needed for both 47455 and 41680 for longer side (or left side pin on the picture above). Obviously you can use beams and connectors as well as these are simple pins. Quick result in LDCad:
  16. You mean 3D model for LDRaw? These all are available - search for part numbers: 44225, 44224, 48171 and 47455.
  17. Oh, that's great video - understandable in any language!
  18. IKEA Ladda charger is pretty good. It can charge only 4 batteries at a time, but charging time is shorter comparing with most powerful Sanyo/Panasonic charger that you could buy with Eneloop batteries.
  19. Guys, don't you remember that ageing LEGO tend to have a better friction than it is with newer parts? I didn't have any sets with old pins in my childhood, so from comments above I presume old pins were not a big issue those days. However now, when 20+ years pass, no wonder pins got very hard to dismantle. There was a guy here looking for such pins (can't remember who) to acquire, so you really can get rid of them ;)
  20. That's because it is pimped 42029. Wheels are photoshoped.
  21. Is there a real issue using two hard coupled XL motors if they are connected to same point on IR Receiver? They would work simultaneously, with same speed. Unless you think that two motors may have their specs slightly different?
  22. I wonder if anyone can give an approximate number of cheese slopes or 1 x 1 round plates can fit into large cup?
  23. There are many choices you need to do! It depends on what you actually wish to achieve as each motor has different properties. You can find main specs in Sariel's chart and decide what you actually need in terms of speed/torque/size. M-motor is the most suitable for System. However you can still can find ways of attaching L and XL-motors if needed, so don't dismiss them just because they lack some System connection points. There are 3 battery boxes. Li-po one is the lightest, but is most expensive. Two other for AA and AAA batteries are used more often. While AAA battery box is lighter AA box will give longer running times if space is not an issue. Even IR Receivers are available in two options. V1 is unmarked as is sold in LEGO online shop. Another one is called "V2" and is marked accordingly. It is can handle more power, however it is not directly available from LEGO and has only been released in small number of sets. So you would need to look on BL for these.
  24. There are couple of tutorials here on EB you can use: first and second.
  25. From my experience with XL motors you would want to have as less gears as possible between motor and wheels. Otherwise expect damaged gears.
