  1. Very cool looking house!! It's the best so far in the contest (besides my entry ) I suppose if you can ever afford to build it for real you'll be able to afford to eat out every night Good luck for the contest and happy building
  2. Looks great LT!! I can't wait to see what's next Happy building
  3. Haha, I wish I had an apartment like that, with or without the LEGO room Thanks
  4. Thanks for the comments :D I'm glad you like it! There's two fire places; the first is on the ground floor next to the couch against the wall, there's a cat standing in front of it; and the second is on the top floor tucked away in the corner next to the TV, again with a black cat standing in front of it, cats like to warm
  5. Hello Eurobrickers, I would like to present to you my entry for the Contest: Free Build. I have entered it in the entry topic, this one is just for C+C enjoy! It is a 32 x 48 modular building as my dream house would be to live in a LEGO city, much like Emmet... But this house could also exist in the real world. I chose a modular because I like living in the city, although I enjoy living in a house at the moment, I think I would enjoy living in a more populated area with lots of buildings around. Anyway, enough chatter, here's some pictures. (Please excuse some pictures are rendered and some are not, the picture of the middle floor is taking forever) So here it is! There are only a handful of bricks that are either really expensive on Bricklink or that aren't made, but they are easily replaced with a similar colour should I ever have the money to brick build it. I have also taken a couple of short cuts with the floors but i was just being lazy, they would just need a bit of reinforcement and maybe a few different size plates to make in real bricks. Features here are the verandah on the bottom floor to sit on and watch the world pass by and the balcony on the top floor for a similar purpose from a bird's eye view. And the back, featuring a back garden for my cats (you may notice lots of cats, I love cats and my dream home would involve lots of them), a small swimming pool and a nice tree to take shade under for outdoor dining. Left: This is the kitchen, plenty of bench space and a very big fridge, I like food although you have to be careful when using the top right hob, sometimes the curtain catches on fire Right: This is the living room with a cosy fireplace and two large comfy couches. Here is the best part of the house, the whole middle floor is a dedicated LEGO room. As you can see, there is a large train/city layout. I have tried to include as many sets as possible including three train sets, 4 creator houses, 5 modulars, and many more classic sets which may be harder to figure out but anyway, you get the idea There is also a building table next to the chimney, this has a lamp of course as well draws containing all the spare parts and it seems my minifig self is working on a purple modular which is seen in The LEGO Movie. Also there is a table tennis table, but I stole its design from the Fire Brigade modular, I just really like table tennis! And finally, this is the top floor, which contains the bedroom and bathroom (out of picture on the bottom left) and the TV room with another cosy fireplace and a couple of bean bags to sink into and watch my fav shows Also this is the floor from which the balcony is accessible. There's a photo of the bed and bathroom on my flickr account, as well as non-rendered versions of everything. LXF File: available on the entry topic! Anyway, I hope you like it and good luck to all contest entries, I really enjoyed building this and now I have a blue print for my dream home Cheers, Tim.

  7. Really nice job here! You've got it spot on to the original! Although it's a bit too nice to fit into your town at the moment isn't it...? It's not falling apart!! Great job and happy building
  8. My guess would be bright-light yellow (I believe this is not a regular colour made for the bricks used), bright blue (standard blue) and bright orange (again, I don't think the bricks used in the film are readily available to the public...). Those are my guesses anyway. Look here for all the colours: http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/Colour_Palette They do look great in those colours, and these high res pics are awesome
  9. Awesome MOC, so much detailing, really well done!!! My fav part is the pile of poor old TVs in the corner, fantastic! Happy building
  10. Great new chapters and very exciting to see you're back!!! I love the carpet and the rocks in the cavern were amazing too!! I look forward to the next one happy building!
  11. Holy wow, that is a fantastic station!!! The attention to detail is astonishing! There's so much to love but my favourite part/s are the two angel roof sculptures... Amazing feature. I hope you decide to keep the station as is for your town, it's ace! Happy building
  12. This is a great MOC, I love the abandoned look. It really suits the rest of your degenerating city!! I love the mysterious leak out the tank, great details!! I look forward to the next, happy building
  13. I really like this modular, the interior is particularly good considering the limited space you had to work with! I also like the colour scheme of the façade, it works really well! Great work and happy building
  14. I love your layout so far. I think what some have called cluttered I consider busy, and every town should be busy! I also like the idea of adding different themes in with the town, I too shall be incorporating some of the LEGO movie characters into my town soon enough. With the roads, the parking idea is the best, check out my layout here. I widened the footpath/sidewalk about 4 studs and then use the remaining 6 studs for the parking spaces. But I must admit I am a sucker for the old school road plates Anyway, I look forward to future updates, don't forget to add your town to the index so it's easier for me to find the topic when I wanna come back and look Happy building
  15. Fantastic modular, I love the details both inside and out!! The colour scheme works really well and the interiors are very very well done. I love the s'stuffed' bear on the jazz room, great touch! I have previously admired your modulars on flickr, keep up the great work and I look forward to the next one! Happy building
  16. Wow amazing MOC, it's such an accurate interpretation of the original, well done!! Thanks for sharing and happy building
  17. Haha this is a great story!! You managed to work all the MOCs into the story really well I think!! And I really enjoyed the humour, particularly the bit where he's paying for the car, very clever!! Fantastic work and happy building
  18. This is coming along nicely :D I'll be very interested to see how the ply holds up. I started my layout on 7mm ply and it has started to sag in the middle bits with the weight of the layout!! My new table has 12mm ply and I will eventually replace the old 7mm with 12mm also... Can't wait for the next update, happy building PS. I think you should stick with the classic road plates, they IMHO superior to the newer road plates. I have successfully de-yellowed my old ones and they look great in the layout
  19. This is a fantastic MOC, so much detail going on, I love the interior's detail with all the 'fun' things in the workplace and the brick built logo is very well done!! I also love the car, also well done!! Great work, happy building
  20. Fantastic little builds there, I'm a huge Futurama fan and love both these characters, you have done justice to them both here!! Great work and happy building
  21. This is a wonderful modular building, I like all the details like the crab on the wall Great work and happy building
  22. Of course not, that's the point in sharing on these forums IMO In fact I'm honoured you want to use any of my ideas I hope you'll share your version with us once you're done, happy building
  23. Awesome layout you have there, you have some classic sets/trains involved Thanks for sharing, happy building
  24. I love this little scene!! The waterfall is amazing and your rock work and foliage is well done too! I like the fig too. Thanks for sharing and happy building
  25. Clever little build here, I too like the helicopter skids part usage, very unique. But I really like the overall design of the truck! Looks like a very handy track for any minifig! Great work, happy building
