Yeah there are so many notable characters who we're missing from the first series... I would love duff man, but I have a feeling because of duff they won't make him... Smithers, Barney and moe are the most notable absentees from the first series, they could easily get 3 series of cmf from the theme, and why wouldn't they if they sell well...?!

Great city and great update video. I love how busy the city seems, it really seems like there's a lot going on in the city which is great!! You've used the space so well too! Happy building, I look forward to more updates

Amazing layout you have! And I love this transit hub you have made, you must have had a bit of a headache getting all 3 tracks to come together in the particular way you wanted.... I get a headache just with one track It's really well done tho!! Great work, I hope to see more, happy building

I think that's the idea. Amazing work on this MOC, you have captured the abandonment really well! And thanks for the links to the information about the amusement park, it's a fascinating but deeply sad story. I think this would work well in your city 'Eurotrash' Great work and thanks for sharing Happy building

Wow, amazing modular building. The detail on the exterior is amazing, front and back. As others have mentioned, brilliant part usage with the handcuffs and the ornate fence in general. The interior is really well done too! Well done and thanks for sharing! Happy building :)

Welcome back to Eurobricks :D If my maths is right, once you sell the crane you should be able to buy both sets for about $125, which is only $25 over your budget but you get both sets :D That's what I'd do!! The passenger is indeed a really cool set and no city is complete without a train running around it... If I had to choose just one, I would go with the passenger train. The town square is too repetitive for my liking (pizza and bike shop again). Good luck in your decision and happy building

Another awesome modular, there hasn't been one of your MOCs that i didn't like, you have such great detail for interior and exterior, another job well done here!! Although I fear that this building will be too up-market for your town....? Or is the worm turning?? Happy building either way!! P.S. that dragon is awesome

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 12 Rumours and Discussion
timmyc1983 replied to Rufus's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Well, being a city fan, the number I will purchase will be lower, but I can see a use for the Pizza Guy (with so many pizza shops in the city, more staff is always required :-p), the lifeguard will be great for my beach, the rock star will fit my Music shop MOC, the swash buckler will be good for the abandoned gold mine, and the spooky girl, jester and piggy guy just cos they're cool haha :-p and I guess maybe the gamer just for extra town folk.... It looks like a good series though, esp for historical theme folk....- 1,109 replies

City Layout - Inspired by Los Angeles, California
timmyc1983 replied to parrafilmsguy's topic in LEGO Town
Wow, awesome layout you have there! I too enjoy the mixture of town/city eras. I'm not familiar with LA (only what i've seen on TV) but it certainly has an LA vibe about it! Those skyscrapers are awesome! They seem to be the perfect height for the city, not so tall they're towering over everything but tall enough that you know they're skyscrapers, great work! You have certainly made great use of limited space! I look forward to seeing more updates... Happy building -
I think the main problem is most people no longer have their Classic town sets displayed, they are either packed away or parted out.... Having said that, here is a shot of my old display before I bought any modulars... (There's more at my flickr photostream ) Although this video might be more what you're looking for, this was put together after I came out of my dark age around a year ago: I look forward to seeing your city in time

Hahahaha so true, fanatastic image! But on the building, yes very well done, as others have said. Very orginal idea and to me it's no wonder you won first place!! Well done and happy buidling

Wow that is impressive!! I too made a mountain tunnel for my trains to run through but yours dwarfs mine considerably!! I know how many bricks and how painful it is making a mountain scape as you have, very well done!! And I love your little town, plenty of action going on there I look forward t seeing more, happy building!!

Awesome job all around here!! I love the details you have put into the interior and the roof and then there's the lighting!! Really great job all around, would look fantatsic in any LEGO city Brilliant job and happy building
-
Yeah great work on both these buildings! I like the combination of the different official sets in the bar and grill and the detailing is nice, especially on the roof! And the Apple/Starbucks store is great, great use of the CMF plates as many have said.. I look forward to seeing some interiors... happy building!

Yeah I gotta agree. I put a lot of time and effort into bricklinking the first 3 modulars, the same amount of time and effort I put into my modular MOCs, sure I didn't come up with the design but I spent time and effort which could have been spent on something non-LEGO related, but I was passionate about wanting all of the modulars... My last words on the matter

I think all OAMs should get an official Eurobricks button to go under our member number I really want one but will never win a contest, this is probably the only way I will ever get one
-
Well I too was too late out of my dark ages to own an original copy of the first three modulars. However I have brinklinked version of Cafe Corner, Market Street and Green Grocer, so if they are included I do indeed own all 9 modular buildings, just one of each
