OSWION Mining Site This layout is based on my Planet OSWION Expedition layout (built in 2013/2014) Link tot he original layout: https://www.flickr.com/photos/mathijslegofan/albums/72157649505704806 It shows another mining site on Planet OSWION. The astronuats built an Planetary Observation Centre, a power plant, a research and a observation compound. The portal at the left of the layout can be used to enter the mining site. Some vehicles are modular. You can swap the equipment between them Also I’ve added some modular mining vehicles. ============================================= Hello, all, This is a new Wasabi District Thread, since my layout concepts have changed quite a bit since I last posted anything about Wasabi District. I decided to post up a new one since I have decided at the last second to actually bring a layout to Brickworld 2016! So, I have already put a couple of pics on Flickr the past few days, but from here on out I will also update this thread. To start: Here are the Cars of Wasabi District, most of which I will be bringing to the show, And the Trucks of Wasabi District, some of which I will also bring. And here are the WIP stuff: The trees. I want to put a more temperate, vibe. The roads. Instead of having parallel parking space in the main road, I have instead substituted a dedicated bike lane in green, and the pedestrian crosswalk in brick/dark red. And my big skyscraper building progress. This will be the hotel's top floor, a sky lounge that includes a bar and an observatory. So there's what I got for now! I am building a few floors concurrently, as well as completing the road system. I will update this thread with Brickworld progress, and then also add more updates on my layout in general. I have about 4 weeks left, so I am rushing! Hope I get it ready in time for Brickworld. Post your comments and suggestions! Thanks for looking.

The town of Lapidis Lapidis by Angelo S., on Flickr Founded on the estuary of Adamas river, the town of Lapidis has stood as a last trading post of the capitol on the route to the sea. Its houses and squares carved for generations in solid rock cliffs have proved hard to conquer by the Empier's enemies for centuries thanks to narrow passages which make defense easy for the locals. In time of need, there is landlord's castle nearby on the cape which is protected by multiple gates which provides sanctuary to citizens and in case of an attack from sea, harbour chain can be raised to block the advance of the enemy ships. Other than trade, citizens heavily rely on fishing and the town's inn is famous trought the Empire for its exquisite pie and southern wine. Today, as usaul, many things are happening in Lapidis. King's guard arrived to capture the infamous smuggler, Blueberry mercenary company came to meet their employee and get a slice of that tasty pie at the inn and famed brother and sister heroes arrived to get their blades sharpened and supplies refilled! And today is one of more boring days, but truth be told, it is sill early inf the morning! Lapidis by Angelo S., on Flickr Lapidis - details 01 by Angelo S., on Flickr Lapidis - details 02 by Angelo S., on Flickr Lapidis - details 03 by Angelo S., on Flickr Lapidis - details 04 by Angelo S., on Flickr Lapidis - details 05 by Angelo S., on Flickr Lapidis - details 06 by Angelo S., on Flickr So this build measures 96x80 and is consisted of 9 sections. I do not know about the part count but it decimated my entire collection so it probably has no less than 15 000 parts (but it probably has more) It took me 4 months to build and much of that time was actually spent waiting for parts and doing work for school (because I did not have much time to build) This would be my first real diorama I made on my own and I am really proud of it! I wanted it to have a Mediterranean feel to it and not to be same as other castle creations we see on the internet I think I managed to achieve that. See the album on Flickr: https://www.flickr.c...157657547770112 And there are a couple more pictures on MOCpages, so be sure to check there too: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/418232 Hope you like it! C&C welcome and greatly appreciated!

Did anyone use all curve tracks included ME Models track? I just designed a loop layout that used all curve tracks! But I am very sad because I can't play it at my home:( My tables are shorter than 3m. Do you have any idea?

Hello, This topic is devoted to my latest project, building the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World in Lego. Hello, For this project, I am planning to in some shape or form recreate the firework show "Wishes!" that is at the Magic Kingdom. I have been reviewing different ideas and brainstorming for the few weeks. I have seen some people do similar things and use a projection type of system, however in order for this to work everything must line up perfectly so that the show looks realistic. I have also seen a actual miniature recreate of "Fantasmic!" in Disneyland, however I am not sure if it is a good idea to light small fireowrks off around Lego, much less inside. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can recreate the show?

Hey Everybody, I've just started building a semi-permanent layout upstairs at my house (i.e. not on the floor) and thought I would share. Comments, suggestions, etc. are welcome! This is just the start, I obviously have to move my modulars in, get more baseplates/roadplates, throw a couple more trains on the rails (metroliner, custom E7 set). I will also be adding a tunnel with mountain above for my WIP narrow gauge layout. More on the Tweetsie (shown here) layout and custom E7's in the future. I'm awaiting a few BrickLink orders for ballast, trees, scenery, so more to follow! BlueBrick plan: Full layout (with trains moved for clarity): Yard view (looking head on to the trains): Album with full-res here.

Hello, Huw Millington is not only the Mastermind behind brickset.com. He also is a MOCer, who has created a fantastic city layout with many surprises – first shown at the Bricktastic Event a few weeks ago. As an AFOL and town planner I had a lot of questions in mind. And thankfully, I was able to ask Huw everything I’d like to know about his very British city – also he send us some very fine images of his little town. So, if you like, please check out our article with the interview (in English) and many fine images with a lot of details. Have a nice weekend Andres

A team of astronauts explore several planets to find new/unknown ores. The astronauts discovered a new planet, ‘’OSWION’’. They build a space station, which contains a Intergalactic Communications Tower, Planetary Observation Centre, a power plant, a research and observation compound, Landing platforms for spaceships. The astronuts build a monorail to transport the containers easily. The astronauts use their vehicles to explore the planet and dig ores and energy crystals. The space ships and vehicles are modular, you can easy rebuild them by swapping and combining the components. Every mission need it’s own vehicle. Some buildings, like the power plant and Intergalactic Communications Tower, are motorized by Power Functions. At the left side of the layout, a large portal is build to enter planet OSWION. The light in the protal is EL wire. It took 11 month's to build the layout. Hey! I just worked up my first Lego layout with Blue Brick, and I was hoping to get some comments and suggestions from some of you. I have a little free time on my hands here presently while we move back to the U.S., so I'm trying to use the time constructively. I'm not real sure of the exact dimensions of the space we'll have, but this layout should more-or-less fit into a medium-sized home's basement, don't you think? What do you think of the size of the layout, does it look too big or small? I think it strikes a good balance between being a decent-sized layout that's big enough to hold what I've got (plus a little room for expansion) without being grounds for divorce. Our son is only three, so I've tried to keep it as accessible as possible from all angles. I'm thinking of making the tables modular, so I can always add in another table in the future when/if we run out of room with this design. I mostly used the 3" x 3" tables in Blue Brick (and added on 1" x 3" tables for the harbor which was something of an afterthought). The table size isn't set into stone. One of my main questions is about the two crossovers between the two main lines. Is there a prettier way to do it? Do I need to get my hacksaw out and cut the switches they presently sell? I'm using PF track so I won't be using the 9V switch tracks with the shorter diverging track, unfortunately. Also, I won't be spending the crazy money that 7996 (Train Rail Crossing) is getting. It's a pity that Lego doesn't sell 7996 any longer as it's a very elegant solution, and I'm also more than a little bummed about the way they package the road baseplates. I won't be purchasing them unfortunately. Guess I'll have to find the time to build my own. Ok, well, thanks in advance for your input. Feel free to post graphics of your layout in this thread as I'd love to see what others have come up with. Oh, for the record; this is the parts list: 4x Right Switches 9x Left Switches 192x Straight Track 43x Curve Track 60x 48x48 Grey Baseplates 13x 32x32 Blue Baseplates and a handful of Flex-track Joe

Finally, almost two years in the making, I proudly present what I think comes pretty close to the ultimate LEGO train layout with relatively modest dimensions. Built on a purpose made modular table, the layout contains almost 40 meters of rails over 2 levels. Over 300 pieces of track were used (details at the end of the video) and an endless amount of pillars and other parts for the upper level. Enjoy! Details about the table and pieces used at the end of the video.

So its been a few years coming but for my birthday yesterday my folks gave me some tables and plywood so I can start on my City Layout. The layout itself will consist of 6 tables with a 2m x 1m piece of 9mm plywood on top of each table, ultimately making a 4m x 4m square layout with room in the middle for me to operate from if and when I decide to take it to local Lego / Train shows. I have decided to work on it one table at a time mainly due to the $$ its going to cost me to complete the whole thing. Once I've finished a table I'll move it to the shed and start on the next table etc. Below is the basic LDD plan of my layout As I said - the LDD is basic and was just to give me an idea of what to put where. The purple area is going to be a container terminal, far side is the farming area, this end will be housing and a mine and you have main street to the left. I have started on Main Street today as my first table, as that gave me somewhere to put my modular buildings. I will be - - replacing all the roads with either new roads or brick built roads, - doubling the size of the train station to the length of the Horizon Express, - adding in the new modular Restaurant and Cinema, - filling in the rest with green baseplates - and then adding trees, plants, and vehicles etc. - the area between the station and the road plates will be a carpark for the station. Its a WIP and I'm really looking forward to putting it all together especially with the other tables so I can start to run a train again! Thanks for looking and I'll try to update it often with new pics. lostdriveway

Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah from Kitchener Ontario . . . . . Canada. Till someone shows me something more substantial, home of the biggest most complex 12V lego train layout in the nation. There's only one 12V set that I can recall being sold here and it was the 7857 crossover track to my knowledge. Everything else had to find it's way here via a number of different countries world-wide. My interest was primarily spurned on wanting and then receiving lego train set #7715 one Christmas in the 1980's. I was young and thought that it would be much cooler to have 7715 plus the stupid battery set, over 7722 which had the battery operation more "integrated" let's say. But what got my interest going in the 12 volt stuff was seeing the mini-catalogue that came with the 7715 set and displayed 7745, 7866 and other great late sets in the 1980's grey track collection. It might seem funny, but I always thought that set # 7860 was stupid, because as a child I just assumed that it was like the illuminating bricks, look, the light is changing, I didn't know that it actually could stop and start the train remotely. So . . . here I am today, and most of this layout has been in the basement like this for a while now. There's three 12V engines and in this layout - both ends of 7745 are equipped and one in the 727 train. Even though it looks pretty integrated, it's not there's two completely different circuits and then two completely different transformers with them. Long story short,I was moving a bed into the room (it's in pieces) you can see the mattress and boxspring on the wall there, and invited my now 7-year-old nephew over to play with the big train just one last time and then had some friends over (adult friends) and we went nuts playing with it, and I'm thinking that the bedroom in the basement can wait. Proof that I'm Canadian lies in the outlets and the hockey puck collection on the wall. Just some shots of the honest beginnings. The end goal is something more city-like and visually appealing, a Youtube video and then probably a tear down to be honest or move so that I can get that double-bed in there. I'm looking at a local opportunity to acquire another 7745 train, along with some more track components (honestly, i have absolutely no idea what another one of these is doing here??) Some pics to enjoy, I've been looking through this thread and trying to see similar and not many layouts. To be very honest, this layout is Very space efficient! Hoping to update weekly and we'll see if I can't turn this into something to be proud of.

Hey Guy I know I have been asking a lot of questions (you guys have good ideas) but I was wondering I do not have a lot of room for a layout right now. I was wondering If anyone has any simple ideas to make every inch count right now I have a sq. of track, and about a 40" by 40" space to work with. All ideas are welcome! Thanks SO much -RailCo
