This is a fantastic start nad it looks like you have a great area to work with. I would agree, and I know from experience, train track take up alot of room, so any way you can elevate or tunnel them is good, BUT that also takes up bricks too it's big commitment to make a proper town as so many have done on here!! However, i look forward to seeing your progress happy building

This is an impressive building!!! I will be very interested to see it in bricks one day!! Better start saving those 100s Do you have a current city set up? I'd love to see pics of it if so...

Hello again, It's update time, a few days late this month but here it is! Enjoy Stay tuned for more, happy building

Awesome recreations!! My favourites are the Pet Shop Townhouses, particularly the pink one. Was there also a purple building somewhere in the movie? I wonder how many of these buildings are actually buildable with real bricks? Surely some of the bricks are not made in the precise colours required...? Keep 'em coming tho, they look great, happy recreating

Fantastic first modular building!! Remember, you have to start somewhere, and you never stop learning!!! But this is really impressive, I too like the angled wall for the interior (I personally would not have made it structural, as such. Almost like a 'fake' wall sitting on top of the tiles but attached the structural walls), but it effective none the less! I look forward to many more modular buildings from you Is this going to be part of a larger layout? I'd love to see your town if you have one!! Happy building

Pet Shop 10218: door decoration piece different from box
timmyc1983 replied to ogelivation's topic in LEGO Town
Hahahaha Yes, I think the vast majority of AFOLs DO NOT have a CC. I have one, albeit a bricklinked one, but many, many do not have the box and/or instructions.... Some people like to be different, nothing wrong with that!! I too purchased a second PS at the same time as many from the Aus S@H website, and now one of my townhouses has a more decorative door than the other -
Aw yeah, I still use the new 6 wides in my city, they do fit on the old road plates, you just have to make sure you place them carefully, like none passing each other on the roads, etc.
-
Thanks for the feedback boomerang I've thought about using the new style road plates but they just don't grab me the way the old ones do. I guess I'm a bit of a traditionalist Anyway, I now also have a photo of the Pet Shop for those of you who cbf to watch the video Pet Shop, 10218 MOD by Tim, on Flickr So, there are two apartments on the two top levels, each are a full floor. Not that there's much more to see, but here is the album on flickr and the again if anyone is interested (it is a little shorter than previous MOD tours). Please comment, like and subscribe happy building.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
timmyc1983 replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
I too would love to see these 'rarer' colours used more frequently in the modulars like the PR and TH. Having gone into my dark ages when the colours were all pretty standard, when I came out and saw all the new colours a couple of years ago I was blown away. But TLG don't seem to be making the most of it. I know it costs more money the more different bricks in more colours they have, but they must realise that that's what most of the modular fans want, therefore they will pretty easily turn a profit on the set. Plus I've never been to a city where EVERY building is one of a dozen or so colours!! I think dark brown would be really interesting, Lego Dr!!! As long as it was contrasted with white detailing or something similar, you could really make it look good!!! Anyway, I am eagerly anticipating the new modular I love all of them, even MS -
Hello again, I am back with some more news about Brixton Valley. It now has an all new and renovated Pet Shop! The pet shop is owned and run by my sigfig and is called (originally) 'Tim's Pets'. Unfortunately I am having some issues with my computer recognising my memory card, so I have no photos at the moment, but I uploaded this video a couple of days ago, please watch I actually work in the animal welfare industry in real life, so would like to clarify that all the animals 'for sale' at Tim's Pets are animals in need of a second chance, not all pets have to come from breeders and puppy farms... Anyway, that's my two cents and I hope you like my MOD of the Pet Shop, 10218! Happy building

Don't worry, they'll be sitting pretty soon enough I just lost a screw from one of the lights I was installing in amongst them.... I do love that about LEGO though, they may be on their sides or upside down even, but it's not damaging them I have also bought a second horizon express for quite cheap (for a retired set), so I will have a proper double ended Horizon Express now

Hello Eurobricks I am very sorry it has been so long since the last update, but not much has happened up until the last couple months. And now I feel enough has happened for an update!!! I will now be doing monthly updates on my youTube channel, so please subscribe to stay updated. I will of course be updating this thread as well, just to cover all bases. For now though, please enjoy this video and I appreciate comments etc. Happy building all

Not sure why I didn't comment the first time, but here goes: Brilliant attention to detail here! I love your use of the windows for the overhead line poles! I also love the foliage, you've got a great mixture of everything in there. Great job and happy building
-
WOW! What a way to introduce yourself! This is a great MOC, the exterior is very impressive, it demands your attention, just like most museums in real life! And your interior is very well done too. Museums tend to have a lot of empty space in them but you have managed to fill yours the exact amount! The staircase is very well made, my favourite feature. I look forward to seeing more from you! Is this part of a bigger layout? Welcome to EB and happy building!!

Al's Stars 'N' Stripes Grill - my first moc modular buildi
timmyc1983 replied to craigslegostuff's topic in LEGO Town
Fantastic looking modular!! Personally I like the color scheme, not every building in a town is brightly coloured. And also not every building in a town is in a row, so it makes sense to have alleyways and wot not throughout your city. That's the great thing with LEGO, there really are no rules. I will note that the Green Grocer also had an alleyway to the back of the building as well as the DO, but that's just an aside! Your interior is simple but very affective too! For a first modular MOC this is outstanding! I can't wait to see what's next. Happy building -
Wow, that's a great space you have now, I'm looking forward to your expansions/redesignings/etc. I love having a 'clean canvas' for a town like you've had, it just feels like the world (or in this case Hemlock Falls) is your oyster!! I will follow Hemlock Falls with much anticipation! Happy building

The new city wave has this set: 60097 City Square Which includes a TV helicopter. Seems a little out of place IMO... But I agree, a TV studio theme would be awesome
-
My pleasure I'd love to see your take on it! Especially the interior, I got a little lazy after the bottom floor

Sure I just uploaded the lxf file to Brickshelf for you: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/timmyc1983/10184/townhallext2.0.lxf Happy building
