Hey, what's up! Today I was going through my pictures and found this, a MOC I had made sometime in 2014. It was my first SNOT MOC. It's not the greatest, but I think it's still worth showing. After i got the 60052 set, and had my review up, I went on a building rampage. Just as in the good old days when I first got back into LEGO, I just putted brick's together not overthinking things. Im pleased with the result, though I will probably change a lot of stuff with it as I usually end up doing. This is my impression of how the Cargo Train station could look ( offcourse adding a tonof bricks to it ). Now, everything is plated up, preparing the whole of the build ( and what is to come ) to be placed on baseplates for a larger layout. Im not to satisfied with the pictures but had my lightroom removed before I viewed them. Will probably take some new shots during the weekend. Hope you like it though. Click for larger image. I already felt that this set screamed to be modified. Bricks n bolts then posted a picture of a mod ( moc ) he made himself, that inspired me a lot. And this is the outcome. Click for larger image. Only MOD of the 60052 set I've finished so far besides the cargo train station itself is the forklift. As i want my Maersk 1651 set to go with this, Iv'e made it these colors offcourse. Now, the forklift its not as functionel as the original one from 60052, but I personally like this better . I build more for show than for functionality. Track end buffer inspired py the post in this forum. Im quite pleased with how it turned out. And dammit, I forgot to include a Doctor Who reference, which is always do with my MOC's. Then again I was in a hurry if I were to get the pictures taken. Wont forget them in the next photo session. Let's get those astronauts up in the air ! Im feeling that my first train and the corresponding wagons will have to be a transport for my TLG shuttle. Build In Progress as I write this. Please do comment and ask questions if any. Hey guys, I was on Reddit the other day, and saw a post by a LEGO designer stating that there was an Exo-Force Easter egg in the MechDragon... I checked and sure enough, there was a sticker of the split Sentai Mountain on the side of the dragon! Did anyone notice this? I think that that is so cool, and hope to see more Easter eggs in the future! legozebra

Hi there! I want to introduce my first Christmas MOC, which was made special for "New Year Contest" in our Russian Lego community. My MOC took only 4th place (only two votes and it can took 3rd), but there was many strong competitors. This is illustration of a typical contrast between two kids from families with big difference of the level of wealth (and their demeanor). Alena is a obedient, kind and careful girl. She is from poor family, it so happened that she has only her grandfather. Their flat is not in good condition, and Alena do not get expensive gifts, but she is not discouraged and rejoices in small things. Jana is very harmful, selfish and used to getting everything she wants. She is from prosperous family and lives with her parents in luxurious flat. Every Christmas and B Day Jana is accustomed to get super presents just because she is a doughter of rich parents. Alena was a very good girl whole year and she wrote the letter to Santa, in which she asked about her main dream - the puppy. And what do You think? Santa Claus has got her letter, came into her flat in Christmas Eve and gave to Alena her present - a little puppy, which immediately was named Foxy (Alena has long been thought up a name for her dream). Now this is the best Christmas for Alena. Yana was a naughty girl all year and when she heard about the new iPhone, she asked her parents to buy it to her, because she did not believe in Santa. Unfortunately, Jana's father did not got a Christmas bonus in this year and he had to buy a gift for less money. Jana got HTC smartphone instead of gold iPhone 5s. Jana's Christmas is ruined. Happy Alena with her grandfather and Santa. Dissatisfied Jana and her parents. The moral of this story is in on the surface and I hope I do not need to explain anything :) Thanks for watching! [Edit: September 2nd 2016] I have finally gotten around to extending this model in the direction of Kongens Nytorv and Nyhavn which are two very popular destinations of Copenhagen for both tourists and the citizens. I'll put a picture both here and also with a comment later in this thread. And feel free to leave a commend here or there :) Original message 2014: I'm a member of Danish LUG Byggepladen and I'm a bit of a rare poster in this wonderful forum, but here's my short story: Over the last few years one thing let to another and much later I'm finally done with my model City of Copenhagen (Denmark). It is a microscale, sporting a really twisted micro snot mosaic road system. For lack of better I have chosen to call it OAMR System — Oblique Angle Micro Road System. You won't get a more LEGO System compatible micro snot road system for this scale. I would personally love to see some different micro's (just as a contrast to those otherwise beautiful Micro Skyscraper Square Grids), perhaps depicting one of the many awesome city plans of the world or just something you make up yourself :) And once again, here is the whole photo set on flickr. Welcome! Welcome to the 2014 Eurobricks Digital Contest for Ldraw and LDD tools. This years theme is to create your LEGO dream home; build any kind of building or construction that you'd like to live in - house, cottage, bioshpere, tree house... Categories First category: Free build The first category is a free-build category. Build whatever you like, as long as it is a home or special place or building you'd like to live: mansion, beach villa, tree house, biosphere...? You don't have to build a modular (you may do of course). Although it's possible to use all brick/color combinations, please don't do that. We don't check all the entries and it certainly is not a problem if you got a few slopes and bricks in some colors that don't exist, but don't make a full chrome-gold wall or a big fabuland-brown floor. We will disqualify entries that go too wild with the colors. Although you may build as big as you like, it would be nice to keep it within 100x100 studs. Minfigs are allowed. Second category: Micro build Don't have the time or skills to build a big house? Or maybe you don't like building big at all. Don't worry, you can enter in the second category. In this category, you have to build something in micro-scale. The maximum size allowed in the contest is 30x30 studs. Once again - the challenge is to build your dream home, so it's doesn't have to be a skyscraper like so many other Architecture buildings. But don't build in minifig scale...build in micro scale in this class. Minifigs not allowed. Third category: Rendering Since this is a digital contest, we have a special category for the best rendering. The theme is still "build your dream home". You can enter with either a MOC you made for Free or Micro class, or another one (as long as it is a home). This class will be judged on the rendering. You can chose whatever rendering approach you want: spaced out, ultra realistic rendering, rending with special lighting..... Prizes (special thanks to our friends at TLG!!) Free build category prize The first prize is an amazing 10243 Parisian Restaurant The second prize is the cool 31012 Family House Micro build category prize The first prize is the great 21014 Villa Savoye Rendering category prize The LDD Team has made a special prize available to us - three digital bricks to be added to the next LDD update. The winner of the rendering contest will be able to chose one of those bricks or choose an SR3D Builder license. The LDD brick can be a new or legacy bricks, as long as it's in-line with the other bricks in LDD. This means no odd Fabuland hear or so - the brick has to give meaning to other builders. But it can be a special and rare brick, that's no problem - the winner decides. Once the brick has been chosen, it will be added for the next update to LDD (which as you know may take several months). OR SR 3D Builder Registration Code (thanks Sergio!) Judges special prize The other two digital bricks will be awarded by legolijntje and Superkalle as "judges prizes" to some especially innovative entries that push the boundaries for using digital building, either by itself or together with physical building Rules Of course there are also some rules. There is no doubt that 2014 will go down in history as one of the biggest years for LEGO ever. You may totally disagree or completely agree with me. There are many reasons why this is the case. Let's face the facts, shall we? -The most obvious reason is The LEGO Movie, the first ever theatrical film for LEGO, the first not to be direct-to-DVD. The movie is currently making more than $300 million dollars at the worldwide box office, and Australia and a few other countries don't even have it released there yet! Plans for a sequel have already been announced, with a release date of May 26, 2017. Clearly one big win, at least in my book. -After originally being thought to be long gone, LEGO announced their vague plans to return Ninjago in 2014 at the end of the 2012 year. "We will be back." read the first teaser poster we received. The sets have finally released, and the TV series is back with more new episodes later this year. Many happy fans, more money for LEGO. -Mixels, LEGO's first big collaboration with another company, makes its debut. While Cartoon Network produces the Mixels cartoon shorts, LEGO has made their first ever collectible building theme, with nine in each series, allowing you to mix and match your own little monsters. Mixels also introduced a brand new system of balljoints, compatible with Technic towball pieces and the like. More possibilities for MOCs and a whole new way to build means more fun! -Of course, all of the other themes I missed other than the major points will go here. Chima was popular enough to go into its second year, with new episodes of the cartoon later this month. Super Heroes enters it's third year, with more Batman and Spider-Man, as always. Friends is still going strong with little girls, which brought the debut of Disney Princess, the first licensed theme to utilize the minidoll. Star Wars is still going strong, celebrating fifteen years of sets, and rehashing the same old vehicles and scenes. Fan wishes came true when LEGO announced the Ghostbusters Ecto-1, based on the 80's film and the CUUSOO project. Hero Factory had innovation when it released minifig-sized heroes in battle machines. The biggest shock was the company's decision to produce sets based on the sitcom The Simpsons, with a house set out and a minifig series to be released in May, as well as a LEGO themed episode to air in the same month. As you can see, this year already has a ton to offer us, and will hopefully be remembered. Do you agree or disagree with my points? Let me know below.

Hey guys i am curently working on a big brickfilm now and well, I thought I would make a topic for it. Hi Eurobricks fellows, I'm glad to let you know one more time that the ALE! yearly Spanish AFOL encounter is close to be held in Madrid, Spain. The event was previously known as MADbrick, but this year is debuting under the name of ALEbricks!, as it will also take place in a new venue, the Madrid Railway Museum (Museo del Ferrocarril de Madrid), right in the city centre. We're very proud of the exhibition background, and we hope that our visitors can enjoy both LEGO displays and old trains. The event will off course be developed around a huge exhibition, with plenty of activities and workshops driven to our visitors. But this edition will be very special for us, as we will celebrate May the 4th with some special guests: We'll be pleased to count on the participation of some members of the Spanish Bases of both Rebel Legion and 501st Legion, who will walk by the exhibition stands and sit together with the visitors in the workshops. The young (and not so young) padawans among our visitors will have a day to remember. May the 4th be with you! We would appreciate if you could share this open invitation on your frontpage, as you and all the brickset buddies are welcome to ALEbricks! 2014. This model is dedicated to my father, who, through thick & thin, never gave up on me. He has inspired me, challenged me, and helped me become who I am today. This model was created by my father as gift to me in 2004. It is a representation of a diesel, and was created before he had discovered Bricklink. The base plate is the only incorrect part, as it should have 10 pin holes instead of 6 like this one does. Sadly, as I grew older, I decided I didn't like the model anymore, so I tore it apart around 2007. About 6 years later I realized my mistake, and am currently trying to rebuild it. This is my own modern interpretation of the model. I made it stronger, cleaner, and more pleasing to the eye. But if you look at the side vent work, you will see what inspired me: that 2004 MOC by my Dad. Here they are together, so you can compare them. Here is an early prototype concept from Nathanaël for a new supercar... The gearbox placement is vertical behind the mid mounted engine, which is pretty unique and it works off of a slick linkage system... This will defintiely be progress to keep an eye on... More information HERE -
Hi everyone, this is my first ever input into Eurobricks. I've been lurking for a while, and this contest made me decide to finally create an account. This is the first thing I have ever built using CCBS. I bought a bulk lot off eBay last week, and having never used it before I must say I enjoy using it a lot more than I thought I would. I'm glad that Bionicle next year is using this system, I feel like it's definitelly a step in the positive direction. Not to say I don't love the old system, I still can't get enough of the originals. Anyway, I digress. Here is my entry to the contest: BFTGM Entry - The Malevolent BFTGM Entry - The Malevolent by Tr0jinH0rse, on Flickr The Malevolent are a race native to the dark caves of Okoto, a violent and primitive species who wear the bones of their victims as armour and trophies. They wear a skull mask to frighten and intimidate their prey, and any who are foolhardy enough to challenge them. The villagers of Onu-Koto are wary of disturbing these beasts, as they don't want to end up as the next piece of armour on a Malevolent. What are you going to do now, Bowman!? You are forsaken... As a conclusion to the final Hobbit movie, and to Middle Earth... The poster for the final Hobbit movie, the Battle of the Five Armies, built in Lego! Finally! After 2 months of work, hours of set up, buildings crashing/rebuilding, and adding lighting, it is finished! I built the Hobbit Poster for the Final Hobbit movie in Lego (excluding Smaug). Poster link. I had tons of fun building this, probably my favorite (but most tedious) part of this is the water and fire effect with it. I hope you like it too! Also my first and maybe last entry into the CCCXII 4th Wall: Backstory: My friend and I are doing a collab of this poster, and were going to enter it into the CCCXII. I was going to build Laketown in the picture, and he was going to build Smaug. I decided not to build the exact poster, but added my own artistic flare with the stone. Also, I don't have that much brown. :P What you see is basically everything, I have basically no more plates or tiles. I did have a ton of fun building and designing it however, which is most important. :) Problem: Unfortunately, Smaug is not ready. We are going to take pictures of both sections together at a later date, but after the CCCXII is over. However, I still wanted to enter into the CCCXII. Conclusion: so after we talked about it, I took the photo of Laketown, excluding Smaug. So this is only HALF of the collab. We will take photos of that at a later date. Bonsai Tree + Working Clippers! Bonsai Trees are a form of Japanese Art using miniature trees grown in small containers. My creation I built for Creations for Charity! I tried to get the affect of some tree branch leaves that are clipped, and some that are not. I also incorporated 2 clippers, one more realistic looking one (the small one on the left of the tree), and 1 bigger one that you can actually use to "clip" the leaves. :) Enjoy!
