  1. Fantastic MOC, I echo most people's comments about the colour scheme, you have accented the building very well with the colours in different areas. Your interior design is very nice and the details on the front and back of the exterior are done very well! Thanks for sharing and happy building
  2. Hello GCO, Welcome to the highly addictive past time of building modular MOCs!! The best answer to your question is that it is an entirely personal preference type of thing. Personally I prefer to use LDD to design both the exterior and interior and then use LDD Manager to figure out exactly which bricks I need to purchase/put aside. Be sure to lay your basic foundations, no more than 2 bricks high in LDD, and then design your interior. I know from personal experience that it's almost impossible to design your interior when the walls are 8-12 bricks high!!! But like I say, as to LDD or brick building first, it is preferential. I would suggest trying both for your first project and seeing which one you prefer, especially if you are confident that you have enough (and the correct) bricks to build a modular (between 1500-2500 for a 32 x 32 baseplate modular) At the end of the day the aim is to enjoy yourself, so do just that!!! Happy building
  3. Yeah I love what you've done here, the extended façade is perfect and the bar inside is a fantastic touch. I have to agree with the above comments on the stairs out back though, I'm not sure that works.... But I like the patio extension on the other side but the stair just don't do it for me in that configuration... Great work all the same!!
  4. I like the continuation of this modular, you have kept the scenery going very! I look forward to the next modules very much! Happy building
  5. Wow your modular town is super impressive!! I love all your MOCs, they fit in so well with the officials and they in themselves are very impressive being doubled, tripled and fourpled up Amazing scene, don't forget to add your town layout thread to the Town Layout Index, this way it's easier for me to come back and have a look again and again Happy building
  6. Cool layout you have there!! And I love that you have a LEGO room also I think the photos turned out well and your cat is adorable (I love the marking on him, very unique!!) Thanks for sharing and happy building
  7. Awesome looking cars, I love the VW Beetle and your are no exception!! I love the design and it's great that you have shown us your techniques used too!! Thanks for sharing and happy building
  8. Wow that engine shed is very awesome I love the colour scheme and that roof is delicious!! The turntable is certainly very well engineered too! Fantastic work and I look forward to seeing more progression, happy building
  9. This is a fantastic little tribute build! I have the original Pizza-To-Go set in my layout and you have certainly done it justice!! Great work and happy building
  10. Wow that looks amazing!! I'd be tempted to create an alley way on the other side in the same style as the bottom floor as it looks pretty cool as it is! But I'm sure your version will be awesome! I look forward to seeing the finished product!
  11. This is a great start for a modular building! You're certainly not afraid to chuck in lots of colours but the scheme works really well here! And I love all the little details of the interior! I look forward to seeing some more floors and some real bricks, happy building
  12. This is another wonderful modular creation from you!! I like the older style façade, that's very well done! And the interiors I love all the rooms but the Lego Store is the highlight for mine, really clever pick-a-brick wall (although I've never seen one in real life) and the mini-sets on display are an amazing touch!! Fantastic modular all in all, happy building
  13. Mine finally arrived today!! Very exciting... Now I will just need to find time to build
  14. This is a great corner build and you can spot the inspiration a mile a way, which is good! I like the interesting use of the hubcaps and technic pieces. Great use and happy building
  15. Very cool base you have created there, I can't wait to the HH on top of it... I'm surprised you didn't make the base able to fit in with the modular standard tho...? Also, that would be a very creepy place to walk past, with a graveyard in it that's my favourite bit, as well as the rock work on the side. Great work and happy building
  16. Congrats to the winners, there were so many fantastic entries, yours were clearly a step above the rest And thank you to EB for putting on a great contest which enabled everyone to enter!!
  17. This is a fantastic start to a very promising layout!!! I like the format you have now, it looks great! I have to agree with 'Sin' here, I think that would be your best option especially with the market from MS spilling over into the park!! Either way, I look forward to more updates, happy building
  18. Well I hope mine is close, I'm getting more and more impatient everyday it doesn't arrive........ Come on LEGO!!! That double wide version looks delicious!!!! I'll be very keen to see that once you've built... Makes me tempted to pick up another one......
  19. Your LEGO city is coming along brilliantly!! The progression is great to watch. I love your new train station, it looks great! I look forward to the next update and the EN, happy building
  20. I emailed CS because I'm impatient. They emailed me back this morning to let tell me that my order has been shipped on the 9th and to expect it in 13 business days!! And now the status has been changed to shipped too... Maybe there was a backlog with the silly season.... Might be worth checking now as they may have done a whole bunch together...
  21. I can't believe no one's suggested Professor Frink yet!!! He's awesome and I guess would come with a bottle of goo (like the scientists come with) and maybe some random brick built contraption. I'll give it a go: 1. Homer - Printed doughnut tile and plutonium rod 2. Marge - Hoover/vacuum cleaner and frying pan 3. Bart - Skateboard and printed tile sling shot (i'm not sure about sling shots being banned here. And guns aren't banned if you have a licence fyi...) 4. Lisa - Saxamaphone and/or Snowball II 5. Itchy - Chainsaw 6. Scratchy - mallet 7. Side Show Bob - In prison outfit, Rake 8. Krusty the Klown - Mr. Teeny (like the Zoo keeper's monkey) and extra large shoes (like the roller skater) 9. Flander - Bible 10. Professor Frink - Translucent beaker and/or Random contraption 11. Chief Wiggum - Gun and printed doughnut tile 12. Mr Burns - Hundred dollar bill 13. Ralph Wiggum - Printed round brick of cat food ("My cat's breath smells like cat food") and/or printed tile valentines day card ("I choo-choo-choose you") 14. Apu - Squishee (like the coffee cup in TLM series) and red sausage with hook to hold it with 15. Moe - I suppose he'd have a trans-clear mug but I'm a bit doubtful they would want to elude to alcohol, so maybe just a rifle... 16. Grandpa - walking stick and printed round brick as pill bottle That's my guesses, I will be buying all 16 regardless of who they are and what the come with TBH hahaha.
  22. Gah!! 42 degrees!! I'm surprised your bricks aren't melting! BUt your street is looking really good, the supermarket is great. I look forward to more, happy building
  23. Wait until you start MOCing, when I can afford it again, I will begin sourcing over 7000 bricks for a modular I've designed in LDD That's really well done!! I think mine came in around $500 but I have a feeling the extra was all in shipping, sometimes it really sux living in Australia!!! But you've done really well, I look forward to seeing the finished product! Happy building
  24. Well, everyday I grow more disappointed... I ordered PR on the 2nd January and it still hasn't arrived It still says 'in process' on the MyAccount section of the website.... With no description as to what that actually means.... Anyone else in Australia having problems??
  25. Looking good there LT, I don't know how you do it but you keep coming up with great designs!! The super market is looking good. I'm watching, happy building
