I'm currently working on a Modular Hospital MOC in LDD. These are the results so far (rendered using BlueRender): Birds perspective: Front view: Inside view: About the model: The lower right wing will be a garage for an ambulance (hence the barrier on the sidewalk). On the opposite side, lower left, there is a gift shop with flowers, balloons and a teddy bear. Across the gift shop will be room for an elevator. At the main entrance (those are sliding doors) there is a reception/desk. The second floor contains a room with two hospital beds (one currently containing a patient). In the other wing an operation room is situated along with minifigs of a surgeon and a patient. The rest of the second floor I don't have planned yet! I'd like to hear your thoughts and comments Also, first post here! YAY!

I'd like to point out that the response from everyone regarding the 'teaser' was quite overwhelming. I just hope this MOC lives up to everyone's exceptions considering the fan base I've generated from this single project alone. I cannot wait to finally share the results with you guys after working on this concept for three years with breaks in-between. It's the biggest MOC I've ever created with over 3,500 pieces! Dear friends! Welcome to the fabulous "The Fortune" casino. This construction set includes two separate buildings: - The building of "The Fortune" casino. - A small abandoned building of the slot-machines club "777" “777” was a popular place for fans to play on the slot machines. But when “The Fortune” opened nearby, “777”club went bankrupt. “777” building is on sale now. The casino building. On the ground floor there is a small French café. There you can take a coffee and freshly baked pastries. On the ground floor of the casino there are: Table for playing Blackjack, two slot machines, cashier, security room and money vault. On the second floor of the casino there are: Office of the General Manager of the casino, tables for playing craps and roulette. In an abandoned “777” building someone attacker has dismantled part of the wall of the “777” building and is going to get into the casino’s money vault. He has all the necessary tools and equipment that he need. Part of the wall of the store is fixed with a rod. If you pull the air conditioner in the backyard, you can pull part of the wall of the vault using a winch. Then the attacker will have access to the vault. And... done. Finally finished the hospital and that is all I will upgrade for now, next step is the interiors and modding the green grocer to be playable from the back... which I will leave myself some time for. 20% OFF - The famous Grand Hotel Ocean View has re-opened this weekend after a major renovation. Lots of people from all over the world are already shuffling in taking advantage of the nice re-opening deal. Front side of the hotel. Back side of the hotel. The seasoned reception chef Mr. Smith is quite unimpressed by little queues and special request of all sorts. He's heard it all before. The first guest have found their way up to the roof top and are enjoying a sunbath - astonishing as I forgot the stairs. Some more impressions of scenes @ the hotel. For convenience the hotel is right side by side with Palace Cinema and Brick Bank. On hotel booking pages the chambers with showers and king-size beds on belle etage are highlighted. MOC: Tattoo Shop, Dive Bar and Skeevy Nightclub My town continues it's economic collapse, but there's still businesses thriving. There's always an opportunity for Tattoo shops, Bars where you can get a bad beer and/or a fight and a dodgy nightclub called Echo's where the music is bad and the drinks are worse than the Bar. Anyway, here's my version. There's a vandalised Bike chained to the broken Traffic light. And a semi-hidden deck above the Bar. Echo's - the dodgy Nighclub. There's a bleary eyed clubber standing outside with make-up applied by Fat Bob from The Cure. And on the roof of Echo's there's a Pigeon Loft and some unfortunate person has the job of cleaning up. Greetings, Today I have decided to create one of the most sought after SW sets that hasn't happened. You've read the title so you know of course it is a Yavin Base MOC. This is actually my second go at making this, my first attempt (which can be found here.), is very poorly executed with multiple design flaws that are too far from creative liberties, and very poor support. Now I have ditched the exterior, made it entirely interior based for improved playability (and difficulty to recreate the exterior correctly), made lots of braces going through the floor, put various triangle brackets and braces in the walls, made it a two-part modular build, and I gave it a final minutes of the battle tension as the theme (very clear with the placement of the minifigs). Briefing Room (Note: The 6x6 flat tile will be white w/ a cutout of DS plans on a black sticker) War Room T-65 X-Wing in Hanger Rear T-65 X-Wing in Hanger Front Arm w/ Rotating Droid Magnet (No Droid For Use) Fuel Tank w/ Refueling Hose How To Separate/Reconnect War Room to Briefing Room. The 'An Holli Corrington College', or The 'Corrish' or 'Red' School to the locals, has been completed in the Eslandolan settlement of Weelond. The school is ultimately the result of correspondence between the Mayor of Weelond, Willem Guilder and the temporary military governor of Alicentia, Major Dirk Allock. Mayor Guilder, concerned regarding the lack of educational facilities in his settlement, wrote to Major Allock in his capacity as a fellow (albeit yet to be confirmed) controller of a settlement, and a Corlander famed for his membership and patronage of the Royal Society of Natural Philosophy. After swift negotiations, Major Allcock agreed that the society would establish an office and educational facility in Weelond. Unable to visit Weelond just yet (although he has plans to do so in the near future), Major Allcock has delegated the responsibility of the new school to Thomas Elliot, a school teacher from Arlinsport. Elliot also dabbles in architecture, so the design of the new school was also left to him. Major Allcock gave some loose direction, the school should ideally be on a medium plot size, and should be a testament to the Corlander dedication to the Sciences and education in general. On arriving in Weelond Elliot found the purchase of a suitable block of land quite difficult, even with a letter of introduction from the Mayor himself. Not surprisingly in a settlement controlled by the very successful merchants of the MCTC, land prices were highly competitive to say the least! In the end Elliot settled for a small, narrow block and secured its lease at a very competitive rate (it was thought too small to be of any real value!). He then proceed to design a three story facility. To highlight this was a Corlander establishment, the only natural colour to build in was of course red - with black and white trim. Unfortunately white stone was in quite high demand, and white washing didn't convey the grandeur Elliot wished to convey, so the white was replaced with light grey. The school as seen from the street with an Eslandolan Soldier patrolling the streets, and from the rear where a small chilli bush has been cultivated - Elliot has developed quite a taste for spicy foods and grows his own supply! The ground floor is used for classes. Mondays and Tuesdays Elliot teaches the children of wealthy merchants and the moneyed class. The essentials of reading, writing and arithmetic are covered (He finds this class most attentive to the mathematical sessions!) as well as a smattering of Natural Philosophy. Wednesdays and Thursdays are a more mature age, with locals interested in Natural Philosophy learning the basics of that science. Fridays and Saturdays Elliot has off, or devotes to his own studies, and Sundays he holds free classes for the poorer children of the settlement who are required to work throughout the week. The middle floor is a devoted living area which is also regularly co-opted for scientific studies. The upper floor is Elliot's Bed chamber and where his white cat Molly can often be found. The whole place is furnished in a rather Spartan style, some may remark it needs a women's touch? Who knows, maybe School master Elliot will find love with a local Eslandolan women? ----------------------------- Something a little different from my usual style, my first attempt at a fully modular house. Heavily based on the design in the excellent MOC found here, I really liked the turret on the front of the building but modified the rear of the building, windows, roof and most obviously the colours! I wanted to use bright 'classic' colours - hopefully the red is not too bright and fits in to the generally more colourful Eslandolan style! I was a bit worried the design maybe a bit modern, but I think it works. The build will be licensed as a small educational property in the settlement of Weelond. Enjoy and as always C&C welcome! G'day everyone, I started working on my new city layout a couple of days ago so the attached photo's are the WIP so far. I just need a few more straight pieces to finish the sidings and also a quite a few base plates to cover the boards. I also need a name for my city so feel free to drop some suggestions! Looking down to the left side of the town - there is a cargo terminal on the left, fairground in the middle and farming on the right. Behind the fairground will be a mountain region. To the bottom of the photo will be a recycling depot and fueling depot. We then move into Main Stree - there is a space between the PR and the FB for the DO which I'm getting for Christmas.To the right of the station will be a bus terminal. Right hand side of Main Street - bus terminal and general business etc. Right hand side of the layout - Beach and houses to the far left, Emerald Night workshop on the right. Can you spot the Foreman sleeping on the job? She wasn't very helpful! So there you go - lots of base plates required - might throw in a mountain and maybe a tunnel in somewhere so I can build on top - I have the Mine set and Harbour set to build up as well!! Plus I need to find room for a baseball field!! Arhhhh lots to do lots to do!! Thanks for looking and don't forgot your City name suggestions!

MOC: Chinatown Residential Buildings As soon as I saw the Sand Green Elves Fences I knew I had to use them in a building for Chinatown. I wanted some place that looked ram-shackled and lived in, but that also had a sense that Hipsters had started to infiltrate and renovate the area. So I ended up with one side of the building looking a bit seedy and rundown with washing hanging from one of the balcony's. And the other side with the original ground floor (complete with window AC) and a hipster-gentrified upper floor. The rear of the building is somewhat plain and unassuming. Hope you like it. As usual comments, criticism and ridicule most welcome.

MOC: Bob's Burgers Restaurant I was challenged to build the restaurant from the TV show. It's been an excellent adventure into the deepest parts of teh interweb as I tried to grab as much source material as possible. Some of it was contradictory - indeed I found three different roof lines used in various episodes (I finally settled on the most frequently used one). Hi everyone, my latest creation is a group of three houses, featuring two old-style ones and a modern one: (» Flickr album) The modern house was inspired by this one in Heilbronn, by the way. And the one in the middle is based on the color scheme of the little side wall in the TBBT set (which is featured inside). Let's look inside, starting on the left (house no. 5). A few years ago, I pictured a little procession of the FOOLOO cult, the Followers Of One Long Orange Object. This is their secret worship room: First floor features a bakery, based on that Elves bakery set: What to put upstairs? Well, the current CMF series has a ballerina, so... here's a little ballet school; first the office: Upstairs the dance room: Admittedly, aluminum foil isn't the best mirror... but I didn't want to buy 3 from the Detective's Office. Teacher isn't too happy - one of the girls raised the wrong leg... Upstairs again, here's a bathroom and locker room where two other girls are getting ready for their rehearsal: Closeup of the gable and two discarded ideas - they were a bit too big: Moving on to the middle house - starting with pretty much the standard Kwik-E-Mart interior, rearranged as needed: Next floor features the TBBT apartment (with the entrance through the house on the right, by the way), with an additional kitchen area: Third floor: bathroom and three bedrooms. I'm not that much into TBBT, I just used some bedroom images on the TBBT wiki as inspiration - Leonard's, Howard's, and Penny's: The attic is just used for storage - boxes, robotic toys, and a costume. And a little rooftop garden. And the modern house on the right (no. 9), antiques store on the first floor (left) and junk shop in the basement (right) side by side: I guess one man's junk is the other man's antiques... Above that, there's an apartment. Modern house - modern interior, starting with the living room: Upstairs bathroom and kitchen, and a ladder to the next floor: Not the most comfortable arrangement, but hey, it's a nice modern house, you got to live with that! :) And finally the bedroom, constructed with detachable roof AND walls: Has she seen her husband on the road home? Placed in my city layout, backsides towards the tracks: Yes, the Brick Bank will get an additional floor - once I got another one of this set at a reasonable discount... Train passing by - close, but still safe (I hope...): And I never showed this little lake shore scene before, did I? That's it - see the Flickr album for more perspectives and details, as usual. When I saw the first pictures of this set, I knew I would mod it some day. One year later, with the release of the Brick Bank, everything became clear for me. So, since I already have my own bank, I will transform the Brick Bank into a police station. For that, the laundry had to make place. And because the barber moved to another building in town... As I admitted in my "5 Modular Building MOCs" post, I am not very good at original ideas. For this MOC, I was influenced by cimddwc's awesome Emerald House. Typically, my designs are based on convenience. In other words, what can I build without having to Bricklink. I started by trying to replicate the Emerald House, but didn't have enough dark green. Also, I didn't have enough of either white or tan windows so I made the second and third floors different colors. From there, I took some other liberties. Floors are removable but no interiors......possibly I will get to it someday. Hi all Just got into the whole modular building idea after purchasing a couple of the predesigned models, Cinema, and Detectives office. I've had a bash a MOCing using the very limited parts I have to join them. I was just wondering if there has been much interest in creating B models and instructions, from the parts in the modular sets, which retain the modular rules?

Hi all Just getting into MOC modulars, and have got the basic structure of the first 3 floors of a coffee shop/ bookshop, slightly inspired by a place I found in Bern. That one was inside a small covered area which used to be a backstreet. My MOC is a main road affair, and I'm looking to make a sign at the front somehow, with a model of a coffee cup, (Quite easy i think, and then the words "& a Book" next to it. I'm quite restricted on pieces. Does anyone have any ideas how to create letters. I've tried to use the same technique as that used in Al's barber shop, but the letters are often spaced too far apart. Any ideas or places to point me? I will get round to posting a thread for my MOCs on here at some points.
